20" Display Dimensions???

I am considering an iMac 20" but need to know if the display will fit in my current desk. I plan on using a vesa mount and an arm of some sort. What are the dimensions of the display only (not including the base)???
Thanks for the help!
M

Hello Michael and welcome to discussions,
Taken from the Apple website...
Size and weight (20-inch)
Height: 18.6 inches (47.2 cm)
Width: 19.4 inches (49.3 cm)
Depth: 7.4 inches (18.9 cm)
Weight: 25.2 pounds (11.4 kg)5
Allow a few more inches around the top for air flow and allow a good few more inches to the right to allow disc insertion and removal.
Hope that helps some
Regards
Ian

  • MacPro 2013 will not show full display dimensions only 1080p

    I own the "ASUS PB278Q 27-Inch WQHD LED-lit Professional Graphics Monitor" which has 2560x1440 WQHD resolution. When I use HDMI that works in full 1440 dimension quality, but when I switched to display port 1.2 using a wire from amazon "Accell B143B-003J UltraAV Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 Cable with Latch, White, 3.3-Feet" It only displays in 1080p max. Can anyone please help to explain why I can't acheive the full resolution of my displaying unless I use the HDMI wire? I switched to display port so I can plug in my TV to the HDMI port as a second display so I won't be able to go back to HDMI. Side note: No TV (second display) was not connected yet to affect any quality settings.
    Thanks!

    What is the refresh rate that the monitor is using? The FirePro 500's and 700's appear to have a problem displaying at 60Hz @ 4K. Theres a Samsung 4K thread here that describes how to alter one of the system files to get the refresh up, but the highest I've been able to get mine and have a stable full picture is 50Hz. We I believe are at Apples mercy waiting on an updated plist to fix this problem.

  • Displaying dimension  after measures in Pivot view

    Hi
    I have a requirement to display some of the dimension columns after the measure columns in pivot view. How do I achieve this?
    Any suggestions would be considered helpful.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    Amrith

    If this is a text field, you have to create a formula as :
    Max(Table.Column by the others columns in the pivot without the excluded columns)Then you drag and drop this column in the measures
    If you have excluded columns, you must set a max aggregate on this column in the pivot.
    And this answer don't need to be considered as helpful. It's free. ;-)

  • Report header to display dimensions

    All,
    I am trying to make the text box in my report header display member names of our C2 dimension, which is departments. This dimension is in a column which has a prompt for values. When the report is ran, I would like users to be able to select departments and have the header display the chosen departments. The following syntax displays only the first member selected in the prompt, and not every member selected:
    <<GetHeading("Grid1",1,A,3)>>
    Any suggestions to pull in the missing members?
    Jim

    I have often had to experiment with the location criteria in text functions depending on the info and the location of the formula. Try different combinations of the col, row and page info being included.

  • Displaying Dimension Hierarchy on Report

    Attempting to display accounts in hierarchical form for a department within an EVDRE report.
    Memberset for account dimension is LDEP(3),PARENTAFTER,SELF
    Works fine for most departments except for a couple.
    Done the following:
    -Refreshed client side dimension files
    -Updated template version
    -Refreshed dimension member & dynamic templates from eTools
    -Cleared local application information from eTools
    Any insight on why and how to fix this issue is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Garvi Koushik

    Hello,
    On BPC 5.1 SP3
    Have already done a full process of the dimension and optimized the application (for good measure). Yet, the issue continues to rise.
    Any other insights?
    We're considering creating an index property on the dimension and bringing that into the report and sorting by that to get the proper hierarchy to display on the report.
    Thank you!!

  • Ragged Hierarchy Snowflake Displays Dimension Key as Descriptor

    Hello All -
    I am having an issue with OWB 10gR2 and any help would be appreciated.
    I have created a Product Dimension using the "ROLAP" - "Manual" storage method which I've modeled as a snowflake to support our ragged hierarchy.
    I can create, validate, and view the data in the dimension and it is correct ... but the only level of my three levels (All Products, Products, Sub Products) to display the descriptor is the Sub Products level. The other two levels display the Surrogate ID - regardless of what settings I change.
    I know this might sound trivial but it does make a huge difference when you're working with a large number of product hierarchies or demonstrating to non-technical superiors.
    Thanks in advance for any assistance!

    I took a look at this thread, but I think you have a different issue than mine. My Snowflake dimension isn't implemented as MANUAL. I use the Snowflake option and it isn't a "ragged" hierarchy.
    In reality I do, but I "force" the levels to the maximum number. This lets me attach all facts at the base level and have a single grain. For example if I had a mix of 2 level and 3 level hierarchies, I repeat level 2 into level 3 for the 2 level items.
    I rarely use the data viewer, but I did see that if I use it on the table objects, I see my short descriptors. If I use it on the dimension objects it doesn't work - probably because I only implement relational objects.

  • How can I get display dimensions

    How can my program detect my monitor screen pixel dimensions at runtime?
    dewayne

    Thanks very much.
    Along the way I discovered a less preferable more round-about way:
    Frame control = new Frame("Control for AntarTap; Click upper corner X to teminate entire program"); //construct display Frame w/title
    int dispTotHgt=10000,dispTotWid=10000; //oversize guess
    control.setBounds(0,0,dispTotWid,dispTotHgt); control.setVisible(true); //have to see to getsize
    dispTotHgt=control.getHeight()-12; dispTotWid=control.getWidth()-12; //win98 returns 12 too big, corrected
    System.out.println(" dispTotHgt="+dispTotHgt+" dispTotWid="+dispTotWid);
    It works on two computers having two different displays.

  • Display Dimensions as Number instead of Text

    Hi All,
    When using Analysis for Office 1.4 I notice that my dimensions are always formatted in text en never available in number.
    Year is shown as
         '2014
         '2013
         '2012
    instead of
         2014
         2013
         2012
    The Key of my Point-of-Sale is shown as
         '1
         '10
         '11
         '2
         '3
    instead of
         1
         2
         3
         10
         11
    Is there a way to prevent this and shown them by default in numerical format?
    Kind Regards,
    Michel Hoefkens

    Hi Michel
    initially I thought there should be a way, but I tried some things and its definitly not working.
    There is no feature from AO side, and my guess that an attribute type num would help is not working.
    Why you need that? Because of calculations? If you have to use the dimension as part of a formula you have to convert the string into integer.
    I know its a work around, but I dont see any other way.
    Regards
    Thorsten

  • How to display properties of dimension on the input form and report in bpc

    Dear Expert,
    Please tell me how to display properties of dimension on the input form and report in bpc. I can only display dimension number.
    thanks so much
    hungth

    Hi Hungh,
    If your are using BPC 10 with EPM add in client, you can use the function:
    EPMDimensionProperty ()
    This function retrieves the properties of a specified dimension in a specified cell range.
    Thanks, Safa

  • Dimension Header Sort not working in Web Analysis

    The dimension header sort which is supposed to sort dimension members automatically as they are designed in the database outline doesn't work and instead any new dimension members are just added to the end of the list. There are four options from the shortcuts menu > Data Display > Dimension Header Sort : Default, Ascending, Descending, Level or Generation. None of these work or none of these reorganize the dimension members order. Does anybody know what could be the problem? We are using Hyperion Web Analysis Studio 9.3.1 running on Red Hat.
    This is a big show stopper issue for our deployment because of the vast number of changes to the reports financial users have to do on daily basis they expect the hierachy based on the database outline in Essbase to be retained through any new member additions or changes.
    Regards,
    Livia

    Hi Livia,
    How are you pulling through the members - are you using Descendant of? (I know there is the Dynamic option for drop downs).
    Web Analysis is very picky about the formatting and application of different formats in order they were last applied. Maybe try removing all formating to see if there is still an issue, then reapply.
    There is also a known issue (SR3-992119231) with shared members only appearing in the first place in the hierarchy and not in any shared hierarchies - the SR indicated it would be fixed in the current version 11.1.x but there was no indication of a backfix to prior releases (9.3.1.x).
    Cheers, Iain

  • External Display Flickers (Intel on board)

    Hi,
    I have recently made a fresh installation of Arch Linux and trying to setup it for my work environment. I made a basic installation of xfce4 with slim login manager. I wanted to hook my laptop with an external display. I used xrandr to extend my laptop display with the external display. Everything worked fine but my external display flickers insanely bad. I cannot stare at it for > 30s. I dual boot on windows, so I tested the same setup with windows and it worked just fine, out of the box. I even used one of my friend's laptop who's running ubuntu and has the same h/w. It worked out of the box. I have spent more than 8 hours trying to find out where the issue would be and miserably failed. Below are certain logs and output that might help traingulate my issue.
    Its a Dell Inspiron N4030, with Intel onboard graphics. I have the xf86-video-intel driver installed and the display works perfectly fine with laptops default display.

    No one? I have the exact same problem. MSI x360 laptop, intel onboard graphics. I too use xrandr. I've seen elsewhere that windows users have solved this by turning off GPU overclocking. Maybe this can point us in the right direction?

  • Web Analysis data layout does not reflect newly added attribute dimension

    Hi,
    We newly added one new attribute dimension. If any new report creation in Web Analysis reflect that dimension. However, the reports which are old(created before the addition of new dimension), does not show the newly added dimension.
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Meenakshi

    Thanks for this.
    I have tried assigning the new DB connection. However, still it did not work. Does the data layout displays dimensions according to reports. I mean, can we restrict the visibility of dimension at report level? Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Meenakshi

  • How to avoid Dimension name in my pivot table

    hi,
    I have developed report from cube using excel
    in this pivo ttable i have an hierarchy in this fields names contains
    dimension name.fields but i want show only fields name only, i don't want display dimension name before fileds name
    how to avoid this
    Regards
    Mallis

    Hi,
    is it Role playing dimension? In Role playing dimension case you can't hide dimension name prefix. Consider creating new database dimensions instead of using role dimensions.

  • Quicktime x displaying incorrect aspect ratio

    Hi,
    I have a strange display issue with QT X which is occurring on both my MacBook Pro and Mac Pro.
    Quicktime X is displaying all movies in a squashed aspect ratio. For example a 640x360 movie is displayed (actual size setting) as 640x340. The same movie displays correctly in QT 7 Pro. The same movie also displays in the correct aspect ratio in iTunes.
    What QT X appears to be doing is displaying the images squashed by 20 pixels. for instance a 1920x1080 actually displays as 1920x1060. The image is not trimmed just squashed into a frame that is 20 pixels too short. It happens with all movies including ones downloaded from Apple.
    any ideas anyone?
    Thanks

    Are other people are encountering this distortion?
    I'm not and I routinely convert and proof 4 to 12 files a day as part of my processing activities. In addition, neither test files download from the trailers area nor files sent me for examination seem to display this aberration.
    I wonder if it is something to do with the transport commands moving from underneath the frame to within the picture area.
    Not sure what you are referring to here. If referring to the controls which are visible when the cursor is hovering above the player window, they have nothing to do with changes in the display dimensions as detailed by the "Inspector" window on a properly functioning system.
    I'm not sure this is the issue
    Have explained the basic mechanism governing the normal display of files played in the local players. Basically, either the problem is in the file itself or the problem is in the manner in which good files might be playing in a corrupted or software conflicted player. Comparing playback under different user accounts or on different systems might reveal if the problem is local to your account and/or system. If you don't have a secondary system available locally, posting a test file for comparison by others might determine the problem source.

  • Using dimension attributes in the Query Builder Bean

    All...
    I am developing an HTML client based tool using the JSP tags. I wish to create a report that selects the appropriate dimension value based upon an attribute.
    But...
    Using the query builder I can not select dimension values based upon dimension attributes. Is this possible? The only use I have found for the attributes is when I am sorting my selected diemsnion values.
    Thanks in advance
    Dylan.

    1. Java Client QueryBuilder has support for selecting dimension members based on an attribute.
    To use this functionality, go to Dimensional Panel -> Conditions tab. Drill on Match group of conditions. The attribute condition appears as the last available condition, but only for dimensions that have attributes.
    To test this, use BIBDEMO schema supplied with BI Beans and look at conditions for Product dimension.
    2. If you wish to display dimension attributes and their values in the HTML client UI,
    here is how you can retrieve attributes and their values for a dimension:
    (e.g. for Product dimension in BIBDEMO)
    String dimensionID = "MDM!D_BIBDEMO.PRODUCT";
    String hierarchyID = null;
    MDDimension dimension = metadataManager.getDimensionByUniqueID(dimensionID);
    MDHierarchy hierarchy = dimension.getDefaultHierarchy();
    if (hierarchy != null)
    hierarchyID = hierarchy.getUniqueID();
    // Retrieve all the attributes for this dimension
    MDAttribute[] attributes = dimension.getAttributes();
    if (attributes != null && attributes.length > 0)
    String attributeID = null;
    AttributeListStep attrStep = null;
    Selection sel = null;
    MetadataMap map = new MetadataMap(new String[] {MetadataMap.METADATA_VALUE});
    for (int i=0; i<attributes.length; i++)
    // Get the unique ID for the attribute
    attributeID = attributes.getUniqueID();
    // Create and evaluate an AttributeListStep
    attrStep = new AttributeListStep(dimensionID, hierarchyID, attributeID);
    sel = new Selection(dimensionID);
    sel.setHierarchy(hierarchyID);
    sel.addStep(attrStep);
    // Evaluate the AttributeListStep and get the DataAccess
    DataAccess da = query.createQueryAccess().getDataAccess(sel, map);
    // Walk the DataAccess and get the attribute values
    if (da != null)
    int extent = da.getEdgeExtent(DataDirector.COLUMN_EDGE);
    for (int i=0; i<extent; i++)
    // Get the attribute value
    strValue = (String)da.getMemberMetadata(DataDirector.COLUMN_EDGE, 0, i, MetadataMap.METDATA_VALUE);
    // Add the value to a drop down or another UI element...
