20% off never works at Register.

So I am a member of gamers unlocked and my 20% discount almost never works at the register and I have to explain to a manager and some times evne PROVE that I am a member so they can do a override for me. Its a huge hassle every time I buy a game, why is this? If I buy online and order into the store I can get my 20% no problem.

Why am I being billed for equipment that never worked from the get go, and that your representatives admitted never connected to the computer on your end?

In September my husband and I were planning a cross country move and we thought that having a Jet Pack to go on line with while we were traveling would be a good idea. When we ordered it we told the representative that we did not need it until the 1st of Oct. as that was when we would be leaving. It arrived on our door on Sept 9th with the instructions to be sure and activate it within 2 weeks or we would lose the line. On the 19th we called in the activation and everything appeared fine. We hit the road on the 1st and Nothing, Na-Da, Zip, Zilch .... The equipment never worked from the get go! We called Verizon from the road on the 4th of Oct. to find out what was going on and the representative told us that the problem was with the computer on Verizon's end. We shut the equipment off for the rest of our trip and called for a refund on the 13th of Oct. We spoke to a representative named Juan, who again confirmed that it was Verizon's computer that had been the problem, and we were assured that all fee's associated with the Jet Pack would be waived as the equipment never worked in the 1st place. He told us all we needed to do was return the broken equipment and that he would send us a return label. We received the return label and sent the equipment back on the 22nd of Oct. On our next bill no credits of any kind had been applied? We promptly picked up the phone and called Verizon again, on Oct 31st, to find out what was going on? This time we spoke to Lou Ann. After about an hour and a half she finally managed to remove the fee's, or so we thought, and we hung up satisfied. On 11/5 our Nov. bill arrived again with no credits of any kind. We thought maybe the billing cycle hadn't had time to catch up with our most recent conversation so we called just to verify. This time we spoke to Moncheria. She did not understand what had happened and had to reenter the same refund that Lou Ann had earlier. Again another hour and a half on the phone. Today,11/28, we received our most recent bill and again no credits of any kind??? We picked up the phone and called again. This time we explained to Christian, (the above story), and she put us on the phone with her supervisor Carson. Carson proceeded to tell us that ALL of the previous representatives we had spoken to were wrong and that since we had not returned the equipment within 14 days of receiving it that we were beyond the limits of the refund policy, (which means we would have had to return it before we left on our trip), and the best she could do was offer us coupons for the future to offset THEIR mistake! No thank you I will keep my cash in my pocket!
1st of all we ordered it for the 1st of Oct. not for 9th of Sept.
Secondly we were told to be sure and activate it within 14 days or we would lose the line, never any mention of a refund time limit. (Who buys stuff anticipating an immediate refund?)
And 3d THE EQUIPMENT NEVER WORKED IN THE 1ST PLACE!!
Now Verizon is asking for $343.34 in fee's for something that never worked in the 1st place!! This is ridiculous and those fee's are defiantly under dispute! The way I see it trying to hold me to a contract that Verizon breached by sending out faulty equipment is just wrong!

My online number never worked

I purchased an online number in Edinburgh, UK and it NEVER worked (three weeks and counting). I can't find a tech support phone number or anything like that in the Skype site. There is only one email address [email protected] that is not being checked or simply ignoring my emails.
I've been using Skype fore years and haven't had a problem before but now I'm beginnnig to feel ripped off. I find it ridiculous that the only way to get some tech support is this public forum.

Compressor never works for me

I shot my friends music video with my Canon 7D, imported it straight into FCPX- edited it- sent it to compressor- chose 1080p HD Video sharing, and it never works. The compression fails everytime. I've tried other compression settings as well.
Any help?

Plenty of bugs with this. For one thing, you never want Final Cut and Compressor competing for system resources. Both use VRAM, RAM, and CPU cycles. Quitting Final Cut ensure that compressor has all the resources to itself. The other big problem is that the hand off frequently goes really badly. By submitting a stand alone Quicktime file, you know for certain what type of file you are submitting to compressor.

ISight never works

I bought my iSight last August only to find that it never works once I am outside of the actual Apple Store. I have been to two different stores to try and figure out the problem and both times they have made it work, but as soon as I get home it gives me either the "can't get video from camera error" or "so and so failed to respond." I have all my updates for quicktime and iChatAV, at home I have high speed wireless internet, and at school Comcast plugged into my computer. What gives? I don't feel like it should be this difficult but I'm becoming more and more frustrated. Help!

It says Error 21 is a last stage failure in the connection process and relates to bandwidth.
Often this is caused by a secondary firewall such as QoS (Quality of Service), DoS (Denial of Service protection or a SPI firewall (Stateful Packet Inspection) that can limit the amount of data that comes to your computer.
These additional features are designed to protect a web server from being attacked. Some have settings that can be adjusted others have to be turned Off.

Every time I click the camera button it never works what should I do?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

IPhone 5 won't start or charge or turn on and was not dropped recently and the power button has never worked

My iPhone 5 was not dropped recently however I went to use it and the screen was black, I plugged it in and nothing happened. When you call it it goes right to voicemail. The power button on it has never worked it always turns on when plugged in... Any ideas?

Are you certain that the battery has not run out? Have you kept it plugged into a wall outlet for at least 30 minutes to see if it is just needing to be charged?
If it does not come on after being plugged in for 30 minutes or so, then without a functional Power button you cannot reset it, so you are going to have to try to put it into Recovery mode and restore it:

You may not even be able to do this since you cannot proactively turn it off, but you can try.

Printing to PDF, never worked and I PAID FOR IT

From day one Adobe has been a waste of my money. The customer support is literally the worst. I would have never given them my money if I weren't forced to for school.
There must have been some serious download errors because I have never been able to Print to PDF. I BOUGHT THE DESIGN STANDARD SIX. So you are contractually obligated to provide me the printing ability. Since this never worked I downloaded the current 30 day trial so I could get work done and now the PDF printing option has completely removed itself from my computer. I need this fixed and ASAP. I need the print to pdf feature I bought.

Wifi dropping and NEVER working

I have read many posts on different users having their Wifi working for 5-10 minutes, and suddenly disconnecting, and I have tried all the methods that others have contributed, but somehow it doesn't seem to work for me.
Here's my issue: I have an iPad 1, 64gb, with ios5.1. Now, on the top left of the screen, the Wifi symbol is shown, but I can never get it to connect to the internet. I have tried bringing it to different places, and the Wifi always works for maybe 10 minutes, and it drops. When I try and connect it back to the Wifi network, it never works ever again. For example, I go to Cafe A, wifi connects for 10 minutes, drops. I try and connect it again, but it doesn't work. I go to Cafe B, same problem happens again. Then I go back to Cafe A, and the Wifi will NEVER work again.
I tried forgetting the netowrking, rebooting the thing for dozens of time, restarting it to factory settings, restoring it, backing everything up and just about a dozen methods, but i never seems to work. But all the other devices on my house connects perfectly to the Wifi network, so I'm pretty sure it's not my Wifi problem. Like I said, there's the Wifi symbol on top, but it can never connect...
Help please? It's really grating on my nerves, and I haven't been to use my iPad for the past 2 weeks.. ):

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

I returned a new iphone that never worked. It's showing up on my bill as a monthly payment plan. I can't get anyone via chat or phone. I tried numerous times to resolve the issue before returning the phone. They told me it needed a special card and they would send it and I could install it. The phone was over $450. I don't have hours to wait on the phone, then speak to people who ask: did you try turning the phone off and then back on?
The last time I had a 30 minute useless conversation with an operator, my child got a black eye from a swing because I wasn't able to get to her fast enough.
I ended up with the new phone in the first place because my local store told me that my less than one year old iphone did not have a warranty. I later found out they lied. The battery was not charging and no one wanted to help me with the issue.

You're welcome.
Voicemail is left at your carrier's server. That will continue to work unless you report your iPhone as lost or stolen with your carrier.
You may never find it again and you can't if the iPhone remains offline or out of service which means the iPhone is powered off or doesn't have cellular reception.

my 6th gen nano never works unless connected to my computer. I already restored factory settings twice, it's still not working. It automatically turns off when I unplug it from pc.

If a complete restore of the Nano failed to resolve the issue, the issue is hardware related. In your case it sounds like the battery is shot and in need of a replacement as it can no longer hold or rebuild any sort of charge. You can choose to have Apple swap out the battery for a flat fee or you can send it to a third party service to have them replace the battery for a little less.
If the Nano is less than a year old, it should still be covered under Apple's 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects. In that case, bring to your local Apple Store/Genius Bar and show them what is going on and they should swap it out for you at no cost.

Macbook pro 15" and 17" display turns off whilst working then.......

I have 2 macbook pros. One 17" and the other 15" both are the non unibody ones. The 15" had this problem a while ago but my 17" never did it until today and then it did about 5 mins ago.
Whilst I am working (never seems to happen when I am not using it) the display turns off whilst working. The power light remains constant (ie:- not fading in and out when asleep). But here is the strangest thing. The mac repetitively makes the same noise as if it was ejecting a disk. Has anybody else had this? Know a cure? I recently upgraded to snow leopard but don't think this is a software issue.

The computer freezes? There may be something wrong with the USB port. If the laptop has more than one port, does this happen on any port? If you are disconnecting the shuffle cable from the computer, does it make any difference if you disconnect the shuffle at the other end of the cable first, then disconnect the cable from computer? Or if you currently disconnect the shuffle from cable first, try it the other way.
You may be able to work around this problem, if you get a self-powered USB hub. Something like this one

There are many choices, but be sure to get one that has its own power supply. You can leave the shuffle cable connected to the hub, and connect the shuffle to the hub, instead of directly to the computer. This may provide a "buffer" for whatever is causing your laptop to shut off when the shuffle is disconnected. Since the hub has its own power supply, it will not rely on the computer for power to re-charge the battery.

Any ideas? Is the Apple TV a donation to apple? I have had the device for 8 months but it will not work for longer than 15 minutes before it drops with network errors. All of my other devices work perfectly on the network including 2 iPads, laptops and an old wii. I love apple products and this is the first real disappointment I have had. The Apple TV seems like a major dud of a product.

Seems unlikely you have had two faulty replacements, and more likely that there may be some network compatibility issue or problem with reception in the location the AppleTV lies - anything close to it that might be interfering?
I am assuming you are connected via wifi - if you can try an ethernet connection to rule wifi issues out.
Could you try it at somone else's house maybe? If it worked there it would point to something specific at your location.
You could try replacing it again I guess or seeing if they can offer you credit or a refund.
