2003 eMac and 23inches new Apple display compatible?

I just got a new display (23in Apple) and I would like to plug it in my eMac
which only seems to have a VGA oulet,
Does anyone know of an adaptor that could do the trick?
Couldn't see any on the Mac online store.

There are VGA to DVI converters, but they run about $300.00 US (you can find one such here). And your eMac doesn't support extended desktop, only mirroring, so unless you install a firmware hack (which you use strictly at your own risk), you would get the same picture at the same resolution as on your eMac's screen. Even with the hack, I'm not sure if the eMac would support the 23" LCD's resolution.
So it's up to you whether or not it's worth it. You could probably sell your eMac and combine that with the cost of the converter and buy a new Mac mini which would support that monitor directly.

New Apple Displays DVI Connnection Type

Does anyone know what DVI connection type are the new Apple displays equipped with? I know that it recieves digital signals, but can it recieve analog signals too? In other words, is the DVI connector DVI-D or DVI-I on the new displays?

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you want to do, so I'll try another approach (hope it helps this time :))
A DVI-I socket (off the graphics card) provides digital and analogue output. The DVI-I plugs off the DVI Apple Displays (except the 30") physically fit this socket, but don't utilise any of the analogue output. These DVI-I plugs will also plug into a DVI-D socket.
A DVD-D socket provides digital output only. The DVD-D plugs that the 30" Apple Displays use will only fit this socket and will not connect properly to a DVI-I socket.
There are very few Mac graphics cards around at the moment that have the required DVI-D socket for the 30" Apple Display. The majority of them are Apple OEM.

Because it is going through an adaptor, it is not receiving analogue signals (as these signals have already been converted to digital). A VGA to DVI adaptor is a little complicated, with a hardware based translation of the analogue signal to digital being required - this can result in some loss of signal quality. This is why it (physically) is a box with an input cable and plug and an output cable and socket.
However, a DVI-I to VGA adaptor is much easier (because of the analogue component in DVI-I that you have mentioned). All this adaptor does is to pick up the analogue signal already there and ignore the rest. This is why it (physically) is just a cable with a DVI-I plug at one end and a VGA socket at the other end. These adaptors will not work with DVI-D sockets.
Some (non-Apple) LCD displays accept both digital and analogue input, but they do this through separate DVI-I and VGA plugs. When using VGA input, they utilise an internal converter to translate the analogue signal to digital. An LCD display has an absolute requirement that the video input that it eventually processes is digital. Only CRT monitors really use analogue.
If you want to use a 30" Apple Display, you need DVI-D output. If you want to use any of the other Apple DVI Displays, you can use DVI-I, DVI-D or DVI-I via a VGA to DVI-I adaptor.

Is this music purchased back in DRM days? I don't actually have any iTunes music so I can't test with my iTunes 7.5, but I know that without iTunes 10 you cannot even connect to the store anymore. I wouldn't think that would require an active connection to the store all the time, otherwise how could you play music on a computer in the middle of nowhere? Did you do something to trigger iTunes suddenly wanting to connect and check on machine authorization?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this test is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac" is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.

There are many ways to produce slide shows using iPhoto, iMovie or iDVD and some limit the number of photos you can use (iDVD has a 99 chapter (slide) limitation).
If what you want is what I want, namely to be able to use high resolution photos (even 300 dpi tiff files), to pan and zoom individual photos, use a variety of transitions, to add and edit music or commentary, place text exactly where you want it, and to end up with a DVD that looks good on both your Mac and a TV - in other words end up with and end result that does not look like an old fashioned slide show from a projector - you may be interested in how I do it. You don't have to do it my way, but the following may be food for thought!
Firstly you need proper software to assemble the photos, decide on the duration of each, the transitions you want to use, and how to pan and zoom individual photos where required, and add proper titles. For this I use Photo to Movie. You can read about what it can do on their website:

Neither of these are freeware, but are worth the investment if you are going to do a lot of slide shows. Read about them in detail, then decide which one you feel is best suited to your needs.
Once you have timed and arranged and manipulated the photos to your liking in Photo to Movie, it exports the file to iMovie as a DV stream. You can add music in Photo to Movie, but I prefer doing this in iMovie where it is easier to edit. You can now further edit the slide show in iMovie just as you would a movie, including adding other video clips, then send it to iDVD 7, or Toast, for burning.
You will be pleasantly surprised at how professional the results can be!

No - you MUST have a Thunderbolt port on your Mac in order to work with the Apple Thunderbolt Display.

Wifi speed and the new Apple TV concerns

One of the great things about my classic ATV is that I can start downloading a movie before dinner, and know that my viewing experience later won't be subject to variances in the wifi speed. In my experience, wifi speed and reliability can vary widely - and my worst nightmare is a video that stutters or freezes.
I new the new box has the faster modern chip, but I'm concerned Apple has no control over what might be the weak link: the wifi connection.
Is it time to make a run on a couple of classic boxes? Are they still in stock anywhere?

2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
5. Start the installation again.

I need to delete old apple ID and password and assign new apple ID and password. FIrst Apple ID was Compromised

I need to delete the name of my old apple ID and password since it was hacked. I created a new Apple ID, and password they work fine getting in and out of account however Apple has kept my old hacked account in their record for updates. I also can not use ITunes applications because Apple has kept old hacked email in their system and they are matching it up to my IPAD and my IPOD touch serial numbers I believe. Any Idea how I can fix this my self without buying their phone warranty plan? I have gone into settings and tried updating info their and with apple on phone once before they said they fixed it and now the latest IOS 6 update won 't load to IPOD TOUCH due to this.

First, if you still have access to the hacked account, rename it if you can and change the password for it.
How to change the name you use for your Apple ID
If needed, change the email linked to it as well. Get control of that account back.
As all iTunes purchases are linked to the account that purchased them (music, apps, etc) it is best to rename an account rather than creat a new account. Apple ID's can't be deleted or merged either.

Having the same problem on my iMac. I've tried everything to do with connection problems in the Help article re: the iTunes store with no results. Also contacted Support, which referred me to the Help article and to the Support Communities i.e. here; no dice. I get the idea that something's mixed up here; they told me it was probably my internet connection rather than an iTunes issue, but according to my diagnostics the network is working perfectly fine. It has to be something on the far end - especially since there would appear to be no less than four people with the issue.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
