2005A db in 2005B

When openning a 2005A database in 2005B, we get a wrong username and password error. Any advise?

Try to check the patch level of the database. This PL should be consider.

Can different cluster of SAP Business One installed on the same Server

Hi!
Can anyone tell me if B1 different cluster version installed and run on the same server. Example B1 2005A AND B1 2005B. If it can, could you please include the procedure how can it be done.

No, A and B have different patch cycles - so there would be conflicts in SBO-Common. Therefore it will not work.
You could try to workaround that with named instances of MSSQL, but installation & update would need additional care + workarounds.
The best way to combine 2 SAP Business One cluster "servers" but still on one hardware would be to use a tool like VMWare... - but such a configuration has not been released by SAP - i.e. if there's an issue that could be traced back to the VMWare system, SAP might not be (li?)able to fix it

BTW: Please note that you need to think eventually about conflicts with MS licenses. SAP has an agreement with MS which ASFAIK covers the license for 1 VMWare Windows system on 1 Windows PC so that we can use WMWare for SAP Business One sandbox systems - after RAM upgrades () it works fine...

Can B1IP be used to integrate different localizations?

I am just beginning to learn about B1IP. I think I understand how it can be used to integrate on B1 database to another B1 database. My question is does it work with different localizations? For example B1 2005A to B1 2005B.

Tom,
You do have the ability to setup in B1iSN2007 one or more SAP Business One 2005 systems as the A or B will use the same DI API (JCO) for connectivity.
This is different however from what you are asking about "localizations". B1iSN2007 cannot "translate" different languages ie. a system that store SAP Business One data in the Db in French and another SAP Business One Db that stores data in Chinese in the Db. There is not facility with B1iSN2007 to "translate" French to Chinese and back again. This is something that you would need to develop.

Hi,
from my experience i can say it works. anyway, i recommend you to recompile it on a development environment with 2005B - to be on the safe side.
there's another point you should be aware of:
in 2005 B you have some fields in system forms - for example in documents - which you don't have in 2005 A.

How to Copy 2005A release to a 2005B release

Hi all,
We've made a CoreModel Database for one of our Customer on the base of the 2005A SP01 release.
We want now to copy the entire customizing in a 2005B release ion order to install this CoreModel Database in a subsidiary in China. CopyExpress doens't allow this copy between 2 different Servers.
Are there any SQL Queries that can permit me to do the copy of UserTables, UserDefined Fields and Formatted searches between these 2 Databases ??

agree with Jimmy, database strucure are somehow different, no direct copying can be done in one short.
you need to consider re-implementing on 2005B with master data exported from 2005A database

Running 2005A & 2005B version in same machine

I had a look at SAP Notes.
You are correct with 2004 / 6.5. SAP Note 765303 says that you can run these two together, although the SBO-COMMON is a 2004 version.
However, that appears to be a special case. SAP Note 1114115 from November 2007 has only one statement - 'SAP does not support running 2 different versions of SAP Business One on the same server'. This seems to cover 2005 and 2007.
Again, my understanding is that on one machine, all B1 systems must be at the same version and patch.

The only way to change the language from SAP B1 is via Administration -> System Initialization -> General Settings -> Display -> Language.
The version for China is 2005B or the new (ramp-up) 2007B, that is the reason you can't get the Chinese for the 'A" versions (2005A or 2007A).

Hi Vivek,
E-Commerce and Web CRM 6 is currently not supported on 2005B.
It runs on SAP Business One 2005 A SP01 and 2007 A.

David is correct.. first version of SAP Business One that are supported by Vista is SBO2007A PL03

Dunning wizard after upgrading SBO 2005A from PL12 to PL50

After upgrading from SBO 2005A PL12 to PL50, when I run the Dunning Wizard I don't see the Open Invoices for the customers. Is there a Setting that I have to setup or which can cause this problem.

Did you checked the parameters during the wizard already? For example are all levels included? Did you checked the dunning terms and conditions as well? Are you sure there are invoices that should be displayed?

Bug in Inventory Audit Report before upgradation from SAP B1 2004B to 2005B

Sir,
We upgraded SAP Business One 2004B to SAP Business One 2005B on 26/05/2007. Earlier we were having SAP B1 2004 in which therer was no Inventory Audit Report function in Inventory Reports. After upgradation if we take Inventory Audit Report, the closing quantity of the stock is shown is correct but the value for negative stock quantity is wrong for period before upgradation i.e.upto 26/05/2007. The difference is exactly double of the stock value of that item. The closing quantity and value is OK if we run the report for the period after upgradation i.e. from 27/05/2007 to till date.
For e.g.
If we make A.P.Credit Memo for an item qty.20 value INR 20,000/- based on A.P.Invoice and take Inventory Audit Report, the qty.is posted as -20 but the value is posted as INR 20,000/- but actually it should be INR -20,000/-. That is the value is taken twice of the original value.

Saludos, necesitaría instalar el addon de crystal reports para sap b1 2005A, pero no encuentro el addon en "Software Distribution Center". Quería saber como podía obtenerlo, he visto algunos mensajes sobre el tema pero referentes a la versión de 2007.

Ese add on va con 2005, 2007 y con las que vengan.
No hay ningún problema.
No lo tienes en el distribution center de SAP, tienes un post en este mismo foro en cabecera de los más frecuentes que te lleva a todos los enlaces.
Muchas veces es mejor o lleva a la información correcta, leer o buscar respecto de lo que estamos buscando.

SQL server 2005 SP3 can run SAP B1 2005A SP01 PL51

I could successfully install SAP B1 2005A SP01 PL51 in the SQL server 2005 SP3.

Why I upgrade, it is caused by the printing error issue using citrix.
Anyone of you that have problem after run the B1 on that SQL, pls share.

Thx for your reply. I just wonder why SAP did not inform the availability SP3 from Microsoft and the explanation about the inapplicable of SP3 for SAP B1 in the B1 platform link.
I have tested without using any steps and any other procedures. Practice is a good lesson to learn for me. Nevertheless, one concern from modern customers are the compatibility or adaptibility of SAP B1 to Microsoft product especially SQL since it is one of database platform.
Old-fashioned customer will disregard that because they will think as long as my SAP B1 and SQL server still run well, I don't care..
