2006 G5 display adapter where to buy?

anybody out there know where I can get/buy a display adapter for a late-2006 Intel powered iMac G5? Want to hook up my computer to my new HDTV but no HDMI ports on G5.

I have an IGO which I purchased a couple of years ago when the one that came with my powerbook burned up. I would recommend it and you can buy it on line. Much more substantial than the one that came with the powerbook. Try igo.com

  • Need Power Adapter - where to buy?

    Hi folks,
My trusty 12" Powerbook's power adapter is slowly falling apart.
Is it possible to purchase official ones still? I can't find any on the website, and i don't want to risk getting one from Amazon / eBay due to random third-party ones that may not work.
I need a UK plug too, hopefully they aren't a fortune??

  • MSI VOX TV Tuner USB 2.0 - POWER ADAPTER WHERE TO BUY!

I purchased a generic power adapter from radioshak.
it works perfect to power the msivox box.
    It has selectable volts on it. 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, and 12
    2A
I have it set to 4.5 volts, as 6 is to much and 3 is not enough.
you might be able to find something with more options on it.
The beauty with this thing is that you can purchase ANY
end you want, and it just happens that radioshak
also carries an end that fits the MSI vox.
The end is classified as "A" size.
When you plug the end into the power adapter,
make sure that you align the word TIP (on the p.a. cord) with the (-)negative side of the size "A" end  you bought
The cost was around $1.50 for the end
and $20 for the adapter, however, I had it before I bought the msivox. lucky me!
There is a slight humming noise if I push the size A end to far into the msivox, I assume this creates
some sort of interference, so to eleviate the noise, I just slowly remove the end until the noise stops,
but before the unit loses power from loss of contact.
    hope this helps.

A generic adapter should work just fine although you may need to install drivers for it.
Incidentally the new 2nd gen X1 Carbon uses a proprietary connector, not USB. You can buy a replacement for it from Lenovo or less expensively by googling on the FRU number and buying from an independent seller. The advantage of using the proprietary adapter rather than a generic USB adapter is that it saves the USB ports for other uses.

I'm not sure where on the internet or which store you mean -- but if you mean an Apple advertisement on the internet and an Apple Store, note that there was an ad for MacBooks that showed them with a variety of stickers but Apple does't sell the stickers and not all of the ones shown in the ad were commercially available.

  • HT4060 I bought my new I pad with retina display in USA. I'm confused, which adapter do I buy to use it here in UK, Apple support chat said should be 12w but I can't see that listed on support page re "charging my battery"

I bought my new iPad with retina display in the USA and now confused about charging battery. What power adapter do I buy to use here in UK

As King_Penguin said, the chargers themselves are rated for US and UK voltages, but the USB power to the iPad always rated at 10W. You can use a simple mains adapter like this:

    Restart your Mac.
Try the monitor on another computer, Mac or Windows, to see if it works at all.

  • Mini DisplayPort to DVI + DVI to VGA Display Adapter, will it work?

    Hi,
I have a MBP, and I have just purchased an apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter.
I want to connect it to a VGA port.
Can I buy an Apple DVI to VGA Display Adapter and connect it to the connector above.
Will that work? Any one with experience who could advise me on that?
    Thanks.

This does not work, because the Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter has a DVI-D port that transmits only digital signals. VGA uses analog signals.

  • HP Slate 500 and HP HDMI to VGA Display Adapter (NP031AA)

The specifications page for the HP HDMI to VGA Display Adapter (NP031AA) (Link) doesn't list the HP Slate 500 as a compatible device in the campatible products list (Link).
Do these two products work together?
What VGA resolutions can I project using this cominbation of products?  Am I limited to 1024x600? or 1024x768? or does it support displaying higher resolutions?
I'm thinking about making a purchase but I don't want to get the adapater if it isn't going to work.
    Thanks,

Yes an HDMI to VGA adapter will work fine. Keep in mind it will not carry audio but neither did your old vga connection so I am assuming it is not a problem.
You would find an HDMI to VGA at any Best Buy or you can order on one amazon.com such as here:
    http://www.amazon.com/BestDealUSA-Adapter-Converter-Laptop-NoteBook/dp/B007PLL4CK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8...
Connect the projector and use the Windows key at the lower left of the keyboard and the p key at the same time and it brings up a "projector" console that lets you easily switch from laptop to projector to laptop + projector.

  • VGA Display Adapter; Extended Desktop?

I have a iMac G5 (iSight) and run the latest version of Mac OS X Leopard. If I buy a "VGA Display Adapter" will I be able to use my spare VGA display to extend my desktop? Or is the adapter strictly for mirroring?

Extending the desktop is disabled in firmware on an eMac, iBook, and PowerPC iMac.

  • Display adapter Disabled, Now What? Please Help

I'd really appreciate any help I can get.  A few days ago, I put my computer on sleep mode, after a couple of hours I tried to start working again, but everything on the screen was too big. I re-started the computer, but got the input signal out of range error. I re-started in safe mode, disabled the display adapter, set the resolution to 1024x768 and re-started the computer.
I got a better resolution, but it's not quite right since I can't see the scroll bar, the file menu  and the back arrow on the upper left corner.
The out of range error message states to change settings to 1366x768-60Hz, but that option does not show on the list.
I've tried many things and this is the only thing that let's me work on the computer.  My questions are:
--How can I set the res. to 1366x768 when that option does not appear on the list? and
--How can I re-enable the dispay adapter without going back to the same problem?
--I noticed I don't have the sleep mode when I click on the start button on the lower left corner and I know that when I turn it off at the end of the day, I'll have the same problem when I try to turn it on again.
I've had my desktop Compaq Q 1859 LCD monitor which came with my Compaq Presario CQ5111F with Windows Vista for 3 years and had to such problem before.
    Thank you

Also when you get to the point where you are going to install the graphics driver, then you can enable the display adapter at that point.

  • Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) Display Adapter Drivers

Anyone know where I can find drivers for the SiS 5598/6326 Display Adapter for Solaris 8 on Intel ? Direction towards light appreciated (intended pun :-)

You may find a driver for SiS 5598, but not on the SiS web site.
They don't support drivers for Solaris. Related to the SiS6326 driver, I spent two days looking for one and I couldn't find it. Apparently the SiS video adapter is not compatible with Solaris8 intel.
If you want to get more information, there are more posts about SiS drivers on this forum.

  • Quadro FX 4000 where to buy?

Hi guys, since I live in Sweden, I don´t know where to buy a Quadro FX 4000 online in USA. can someone help me to find a trustable store?
    Thanks a lot?

Unless it says "Mac Pro" it is just a PC version and yes, those sell for $750.
But the only one that works in Mac OS is here:

And there are a couple threads from people who have them now (so close this thread please).

  • HP p6210f BIOS will not give me option to change "primary display adapter" for new geforce gt620

    HP Pavilion p6210f NY544AA#ABA
    Windows 7 64-bit
    Changes: Upgraded to 430 watt
In order to upgrade my pc performance I purchased a PNY GeForce GT 620 with 1GB GDDR3. Following the instructions for pc's with onboard graphic I wanted to change the "primary display adapter" in the BIOS to PCI-e. I checked the HP website to find out where this setting is located in the BIOS. I found out that my BIOS does not even show this setting in contradiction to the image on the HP website. I installed the drivers anyway and restarted the pc hoping it would recognise the card automatically which it didn't. The card is supplied with power since it gets warm and the fan spins but the monitor only works on the onboard video-out.
Question: How can i get the pc to run with the new card? Do i have to upgrade the BIOS? (Momentary Bios is 5.7)

Here are the specs for your HP Pavilion p6-2327c Desktop Computer. According to the specs, this model shipped from the factory with Windows 8 installed. You will need to remove the graphics card, DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the BIOS, then reinstall the new graphics cards. Please see Computer Does not Start After Installing a Video Card (Windows 8) for more information about your issue.
