2007 MBP, couldn't install Lion, now can't re-install Leopard

I have a MBP from late 2007. It came with Leopard installed on it. I recently tried to upgrade to Lion, but received the message "Lion can't be installed on this computer". Now I can't reinstall Leopard. When I try to boot, it will always select the Lion partition, but I can't erase/unmount the Lion partition. Now, when I try to boot from the Leopard DVD, it also won't work.
How can I get rid of all remnants of Lion on my computer and install leopard, from the CD?
Thanks!

Your 2007 MBP would have to been updated to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to install Lion. Now that you're in a mess, boot from your Leopard installer disk and Erase the disk and then install Leopard.

Installed Lion and when I try to open Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign I get a message that I need to install Java Run Time but I am not on thje internet. I am on the internet but can't open CS5 apps!

Here, I made a Gooooogle search on adobe.com for you but I can say that CS2 and earlier is doomed to Rosetta which is now gone in 10.7:

  • I am not being able to re-install Lion. Can I re-install it in a simple process like a normal software or at least get my money back since is useless then?

Little after I purchased and Installed Mac OS X Lion in my Mac, the computer crashed and I am not being able to re-install Lion. I feel my money is being stolen.

I really appreciate the help and I think Apple is the greatest computer's company there is, but Ive being screwed. If you cant make an product that can be easily installed in a few simple steps just like the first installation process was, dont sell it. My Mac was working fine, I installed the Lion upgrade and a few days later I had a computer failure and the auto-restore message poped up.
When the Mac booted all I had is a blank folder blinking and I had to reinstall everything all over. Now on top of that I need to stcik to Leopard after paying for Lion and I cannot return it. I understand some people found a way around it and are able to install it anyways, but I shouldnt have to do all that. Thanks a lot though! I really like this whole ideea about Apple Support Community and will do anything I can to help others just like you guys did.

  • Couldn't Uninstall and Now Can't Re-install. Please Help!

I've been having problems with Itunes for a while and I am hoping that someone here can help me with the issues I've been facing. Starting from the beginning, Itunes stopped updating. When I would try and update it, it would say I didn't have access or something along those lines. Someone at Apple told me to uninstall Itunes and Re-Install. When I first tried to do that it wouldn't delete. In going to Microsoft support I was told to use FixIt. This did delete Itunes and I was able to delete the other 4 programs in the manner that was described by Apple. In trying to re-install, I have done it 3 times, it continues to say it was installed incorrectly and that it needs to be uninstalled and re-installed. I am working on a PC with Windows 8.1 Pro and have updated Quicktime as that was suggested to someone else. Is there anything else that can be done? I have an iPhone and an iPad and while I guess Itunes isn't a necessity I'd really prefer to have it to sync stuff to my products. Thank you in advance. The picture is the error from me trying to reinstall. No longer have issues uninstalling.

In uninstalling all the Itunes components again and restarting my computer I got the error below. However I had deleted itunes off and hadn't yet tried to re-install. I won't try again until someone advises me too. Again Please Help! Thank you.
(The screenshot won't appear here even though it shows it's being uploaded so I will just say it gives me an Error 2 and to remind that this is after I've already uninstalled itunes)

    Hi,
Also try turning Off Face Time
    Open Face Time
    Go to the Preferences
    Set it to Off.
Also make sure your router has the Time and Date/Time Zone set as this upsets Face Time which in turn upsets IChat

  • After installing Lion I can't I boot from the Techtools CD.

After installing Lion I can't I boot from the Techtools CD. I have purchased the upgrade for Photoshop CS5 because CS2 does not launch in Lion 10.7.3. However I need to get the serial number for CS2 for the upgrade. I have waited over 30 minutes for the boot but never get more than the Apple logo. Any ideas anyone?

Boot disks can't change when the firmware changes, lock you out.
Techtools obviously uses Linux as a boot OS, so you need a Lion version.
CS6 coming out in about 30 days, for 10.7 and 10.8

  • If I buy OSX Lion now can I get Mountain Lion later next month for free?

    Any idea?

    Only on a new Mac.
In simple terms, you either need:
A qualifying 10.7 Mac purchased on June 11, 2012 to 10.8's release date, then you have 30 days afterwards to upgrade to 10.8 for free.
Bought a qualifying new 10.7 Mac on or after the 10.8 release date which you then have 30 days to request a free 10.8 upgrade.

My Mac won't mount my external HDD after installing Lion - What can I do?
HDD: Verbatim 3.5'' External HDD  eSATA & USB 2.0 #48802
I can not find it in Disc Utilities - so I can not repair it.
I also haven't found any Driver for the HDD to do an update.
My Mac is running on the most recent updates of OS Lion.
The HDD worked before. It contains my former Time-Mashine Backups. I would like to use this drive again. It isn't very old yet.
It would be much appreciated if anyone could help.

OK, try restarting in Safe Mode and if that doesn't work try resetting the SMC and PRAM.
    SMC RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
    Wait 15 seconds.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
    PRAM RESET
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • After I installed lion I can not slide my photo manually?

After I installed lion I can not slide my photo manually?

    Thanks for sharing.
Before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff: What version of iPhoto. What version of the Operating System. Details. What were you doing when the problem arose? Did it ever work properly? Step-by-step descriptions of how you got to this issue. If something doesn't work, are there error messages? What happens when you try to do this thing? And what steps have you tried already to solve the issue. With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.
Posts that consist of "iPhoto doesn't work. Help" or "iPhoto won't print" or "Suddenly I have no photos!!!!!!!!!!" mean that a helper is simply guessing. With information, s/he may be able to get your issue resolved sooner.
