2010 Review Approval Workflow Error - Outlook cannot open a new form

Hi,
I set up an Approval - SharePoint workflow on a document library list in a webpart. When the approver got the email and tried to approve from outlook, she received the following error. She has approved documets in the past for the same page.
Can anyome please help me troubleshoot this? So much appreciated!
Word Error:
Could not open. http://<site ulr> _layouts/formsResource.aspx?templateFile=http://<site url_catalogs/wfpub/Approval - SharePoint 2010/Review Approval_Task_1033.xsn
Outlook Error:
Outlook cannot open a new form. To open the file, access to the folliwng form template is required

can she open the approval form in web browser instead of Outlook?
According to the error message, it seems that the user does not have permission for the file http://<site url/_catalogs/wfpub/Approval - SharePoint 201o/Review Approval_Task_1033.xsn.
can she open see this file in SharePoint designer 2010? that is, open the site with SharePoint designer and navigate to All Files->_catalogs->wfpub->Approval - SharePoint 201o. If she can not see the file there, ask the workflow creator to publish
the workflow again. I had experienced strange issue in SharePoint designer 2007 and solved by check out all the workflow files and check in again

I can’t get the Microsoft Office SharePoint Task integration to work with any SharePoint 2010 Workflows. When any end user clicks the “Open this task…”
button from outlook (or any other office application) a warning dialog appears stating that:

I can replicate this using on several computers running as different users.
I have full control over the site and the task I am trying to open.
When I navigate via the SharePoint site I can open the task.
The Info Path form that cannot be opened was automatically created by automatically SharePoint designer / InfoPath. I have subsequently deleted the form and published
the workflow (which created the InfoPath form again).
I am running Mircosoft Office Professional Plus 2010 version 14.0.5128.5000 (32-bit)
One workaround is to remove the “Open this task…” button as per
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010general/thread/eb273ee9-6a4b-409c-8eb0-5351bb113386/. This is not ideal and will be my last resort.

Yes, I tried that. It did not work for me.
I have 4 site collections. The main site collection is the only one that I receive the error.
When the user clicks on the email link and opens the document for approval, they receive the following error when they click on "Open This Task".

There is nothing wrong with the task list itself, just the link from the Office 2010 client.
I am wondering if there is a web config or other file on the server that is specific to the site collection??

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that when you are running approval workflow and opening the Excel file, then it will occur the error above.
For a better troubleshooting, I suggest you can try to create a new normal excel file and then run the workflow and open the file to test if it works. It will help to figure out if this is the file itself issue or the SharePoint issue.
Also, please provide some more detailed information such as screen capture, it will easier to find the root cause of the issue.

Approval Workflow task won't open by button on Outlook window

In InfoPath I modified the task approval form and it was working. Then I modified the list and it's form and the error resulted.

I modified the "request" list; I did not modify the "task" list. I modified the "task" form; I also modified the "request" form.
The error is between Outlook and the "task" form.
Thanks. That link is just some voodoo nonsense about html sensitivity. This error would seem to be describing some change to the underlying data structure. I know one thing I did do was uncheck the "reassign" button functionality. But
I already discovered the reassign view part of the form and deleted that -- no resolution there. I haven't found any data structure out there that contains HRRecruitStartDate, nor can I find reference to it on-line. I know for a fact that I haven't
touched the task list structure so I'm making the logical conclusion that it can't be there. Of course, it is SharePoint and no one knows all the kludge that is going on there.
If anyone did know how the thing worked, one might be able to expect utile error messages.
I see that there are a couple of pages of "content types" associated with a task list, but I have no idea how all that works and can't begin to concoct a strategy for investigating those. I was hoping someone here had some insight.

Hi Alex, Are you launching Visual Studio with administrative privileges? If not, you won’t be able to generate the .aex in certain protected folders because of a Windows security restriction.

Yes it works, thanks Note: For CS 5.5 Administrative privileges are not need, so thats only with visual studio 2010 and premiere cs6 where i need to run vs2010 as admin.

Getting error "IntelliSense: cannot open source file "Environ.h"

I tried to passe a C structure between Forte and C.
I taked the exemple of forté : technote ID : 10637.
We use Forte 3.0.j.1 and I try the example on a NT4 server.
There are several projects that make up this application. They are as follows:
StructExampleGUI - This is this project. It is the GUI front
(File: StructGu.Pex) end that calls the C wrapper.
StructSharedObjects - This project defines the Employee object
(File: StructSh.Pex) that is needed for both the GUI and
for the StructExampleServices project.
StructExampleServices - This project defines the StructExample
(File: StructSO.Pex) services object. This is a restricted
project whose purpose is to actually call
the C project.
StructExampleProject - This is the External C Project that defines
(File: Struct.Pex) the interface necessary for Forte to generate
the wrapper code needed to call the C file.
StructEX.c - This is the C code that is being wrappered. It
has one function getemployee that modifies an
input output structure. The memory allocation is
done by Forte in the StructExampleServices
project.
First of all, I compile the StructEx.C
After, in the Struct.pex, I set the parameter :

Do not delete the old account yet. sign up for an iCloud account if you haven't.
I understand .mac mail will still come through. Do not delete the old account yet.
You cannot use .mac or MobileMe as type of Account, you have to choose IMAP when setting up, otherwise Mail is hard coded to change imap.mail.me.com to mail.me.com & smtp.mail.me.com to smtp.me.com, no matter what you try to enter.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
On second step where it asks "Description", it has to be a unique name, but you can still use your email address.
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
          •          Server name: imap.mail.me.com
          •          SSL Required: Yes
          •          Port: 993
          •          Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
          •          Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
          •          Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
          •          SSL Required: Yes
          •          Port: 587
          •          SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
          •          Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
          •          Password: Your iCloud password
Also, you must upgrade your password to meet the new criteria: 8 characters, including upper and lower case and numbers. If you have an older password that does not meet these criteria, when you try to setup mail on your mac, using all of the IMAP criteria listed above, it will still give a server error message. Go to   http://appleid.apple.com         then follow directions to change your password, then go back to setting up your mail using the IMAP instructions above.

I have seen previous versions mentioned in a pop up message before on iCloud.com, but I'm not really sure at all how it would help, as I couldn't get it to do anything.
The best advice I have at this time is to back up your work on your iOS device by regularly saving it to iTunes, if anything goes wrong you can then either load it into the numbers app again on the device or recover it via iTunes on your computer.
My syncs are immediate, I never get chance to see if it works in the background, sorry.

Is it happening with all the PDF' or any specific one?
Could you please share the error message so that we can replicate at our end ?
Try repairing reader once and see if that fixes the issue.
Launch Reader>Navigate to Help>Repair Adobe Reader Installation

Crystal 8.5 Error #599 Cannot open SQL Server

I have a user who is viewing Crystal reports (8.5 i think) from a window inside GoldMine CRM software.
they are getting an error saying Error #599: Cannot open SQL server.

Now we have deleted the xMII folders from Add and Remove in Control Panel.

Hi,
Looks like your mmc dll is corrupted, with your install and uninstall of software.
Two Options:
1. Upgrade the Kernel with latest Patch level, which comes with new SAPMMC.dll file
OR
2. Just download the SAPMMC*.sar file from service market place and extract in exe directory, since it is windows re-booting the server doesn't hurt.

Thanks for your reply, we have deleted only folders
- SAP xMII 11.5
- SAP xMII CMS 11.5
- SAP xMII Security 11.5
- Microsoft SQL Server folder
from control panel --> add and remove folder, when we were deleting these folders, IIS services were stopped by the system. After deleting the same we faced this problem.

I've had the same problem. Even though you check the box to save it as Keynote '08, it does not open in ')8 (I get the same message)...you need to reopen it in '09.
I have even changed the name of the file in '08 and eventually get the same message.
I believe that once you open it in '09, you're committed to that.
Let me know if you have better luck.
