2011 Camry Bluetooth Phonebook Transfer

I just got a new Camry and my iPhone 4 works with the hands free Bluetooth calling. It also works with the iPod USB connection as well and allows multitasking in case you want to run a navigation app in the foreground.
The problem I am having is getting my Contacts to the Stereo via Bluetooth. The audio system accepts phone numbers and names via Bluetooth, but I'm not sure how to send that data via my iPhone 4. Does anyone have experience sending this kind of data via Bluetooth? The only option I saw for sharing Contacts was Email or MMS.

I don't have the answer to your question right now, but would like to know how to configure the bluetooth music streaming and phonecall for the 2011 Camry SE and iPhone 4. I have the JBL audio system but no navigation. I also have installed iOS 4.2 on my iPhone 4. Would really appreciate it if you could tell me how you set it up. Once I figure out how to, I will be able to help you with transferring contacts via bluetooth.

Once you have downloaded and saved the new ringtone, you can set it as your ringtone by going to Settings>Ringtones&Sounds>Ringtone, Scroll to the top because this is where you will find all your downloaded ringtone. Just select the one you want to use.
Your Lumia 610 does not support bluetooth file transfer for the moment. However, this feature will be added with the next WP7.8 update which is due soon. In the mean time you can transfer files to other phones by using Skydrive or by emailing.

Bluetooth file transfer from BB Z10 to Windows 7 Laptop

I have my BBZ10 (OS 10.2.0.424) successfully paired with Windows 7 Laptop. I often use the BBZ10 BT Internet Teethering. It works very well.
However, when I want to transfer a file from BBZ10 to my Laptop. I follow this process
In the background the Internet Teethering is ON, and working
select the file in Z10 File Manager.
click on share icon to share using BLUETOOTH
Before pressing the name of my paired devices on Z10. I click Bluetooth icon on laptop and select 'receive a file'. This opens a box showing the laptop is waiting in receive mode.
Then I select my paired computer name on Z10 to initiate transfer.
The transfer bar appears on Z10 showing the progress, but in 4-5 seconds, it says 'TRANSFER CANCELLED'.
And on my laptop it says 'BLUETOOTH FILE TRANSFER NOT COMPLETED'.
i have used exactly same process with my BB 9800 several times with success.
Another thing I note is, if the Internet teethering is OFF, I cannot turn BT connection to the laptop on. It come up with error message ' Cant' connect , you must turn on internet teethering on yoru device.'
Please troubleshoot.

Can you send a file from the laptop to the cellphone? If you can, check if the "Allow remote devices to browse, send, and receive pictures, music, and other files" option is enabled on the BT settings:

As an alternative, you may also want to try Bluesoleil or similar software to send/receive from the laptop.

Bluetooth file transfer from Sharp GX29 mobile phone to iBook

hello all,
got a new sharp gx29 mobile phone.
problem:
cannot send files via bluetooth to my ibook.
but can send from ibook to Sharp.
when trying to send from phone, a dialog window opens on mac os x, asking whether accept or cancel the transfer.
no matter how many times i click on accept, nothing happens, sometimes it hits it, and goes further to a transfer dialog window with the transfer progress bar, but it starts to transfer and stops at about 5-10%, and nothing happens.
Any one has Sharp GX series and problems like me?
I know that Sharp is not supported by isync, but that's not what I am trying to do (isync), just a normal file transfer.

I myself have missed the obvious many times so I'm going to ask.
In System Preferences/Bluetooth/Sharing. Do you have: Bluetooth File Transfer and File Exchange checked???? Then make sure your settings in the pop up menus on the right are correct.
If you have everything set properly in Bluetooth preferences on your iBook then you might try the Sharp web site for troubleshooting since you can't send files via Bluetooth to your iBook, not the other way around. Sounds like maybe your Sharp possibly has something blocked somewhere...

Samsung Charge - Hyundi Santa Fe Bluetooth File Transfer

I connect via bluetooth between the subject devices but cannot effect a file transfer of contacts from phone to car. Have tried the Bluetooth Fike Transfer app but it errors and doesn't work. Any idea whe Samsung will add the ,issing drivers to do this file transfer or any other suggestions? Kind of screwa up the purpose of "hands free driving" if you can't voice dial a contact. Thanks,

I understand the convenience that you can get from having the voice dial feature fully integrated to your car. May I ask what year is your vehicle? Do you have the Touch Navigation system or just standard audio? I have referenced our Charge Car Bluetooth guide and Hyundai's Bluetooth site and at this time the Charge does not have a listed compatibility with Hyundai vehicles. While this does not mean it shouldn't pair at all but some features may not be available. If you provide the vehicle details I can see what can be done to forward this information to Samsung. Please let me know if I can assist further.

From the description, you got the error message "message interface has returned an unknown error." when exporting Outlook data to a PST file, correct?
Based on my research, this issue may happen if one of the following two conditions is true:
There is some internal problem with Microsoft Outlook messaging interface.
There is corruption in PST file.
If it's due to Microsoft Outlook messaging interface, this issue should be fixed after restarting Outlook. If it is caused by Outlook PST file corruption, we can try using the Inbox Repair Tool (Scanpst.exe) to scan and repair your PST file. By default,

Anyone else had bluetooth phonebook carkit problems after 2.0?

1.1.4 on my iphone integrated perfectly into my car's bluetooth handsfree kit, giving access to the phonebook, last dialed numbers, caller id etc from the in-car control system.
After upgrading to 2.0, all I have left is the ability to make or receive calls. None of the phonebook stuff is working.
Anyone else have this? If so, any solution available yet? Or is it just me?

My daughter and I both use a BlueAnt Supertooth 3 bluetooth speaker in our cars. We both have 2.0.1 firmware installed. Autos are identical (not that it should matter, since the speakers are not connected to the car in any way).
My Original iPhone: All works fine. Phone book transfers and calls are announced by name
Her 3G iPhone: Phone book does not transfer. Calls are announced by numbers.
I suspect this is a phone hardware difference, since our BlueAnt units were purchased over a three week period.

Ok, generally I am technical and can figure this stuff out quickly but have not been able to yet.
I have a need to transfer my entire contact list via bluetooth to my car. In my windows phone i could just choose select all contact then send via bluetooth. How is this accomplished in andoid?
I have transferred 3 directories of photos from my pc to the micro sd card in my phone. I am able to see them on the android photo app but they appear in a single album. How do you create albums in the photo app? Can't you specify that each subdirectory is a different album?
Why is android so user-hostile compared to windows phone?

Not all car stereos support this option, this is controlled by the bluetooth supported stacks in the device, usually as technology is upgraded older devices can not communicate on the profile because of the update... If I had to guess the update 2.3.4 OS us using a new bluetooth stacks that the stereo does not support so there isnt any way to get this to work simply..

The reason they are showing in the same directory is because you copied them into the same folder, you need to seperate the items into different folders to have them display in different directory..

All OS has their own unique ways of handlings files and data and if you are accustom to using one platform everything different take some getting use to... Android hands data and file much better than a windows device would in my opinion..
Give it time to learn the OS and then you will come to like it better..

No, it does not. The required OBEX [OBject EXchange] Bluetooth profile is either missing, defeated or intentionally not enabled.
It's hard to say why the decision was made not to include it, as the pressure not to do so is not typical of at&t historically. It is much more typical of the behavior Verizon has engaged in to protect its 5¢ per transfer GetItNow! offering.

Samsung Mobile Phone SPH-a640 Camera Bluetooth photo transfer

What h/w is needed to transfer photos via Bluetooth from a Samsung Camera/phone SPH-a640 to my eMac running 10.4.8?

I haven't tried it for photos yet, but it did work for moving a midi file for use as a ringtone. Other Bell SPH-a640 users in the thread say it works for them. I tried doing it with the Mac version of Bitpim, but this would only recognize the bluetooth port; it said the USB port was closed. It would not allow the transfer of data over the bluetooth port. It's a clunky method, but it does defeat Bell's attempt to prevent us from using our cell phones more fully.
