2014 ford f150 bluetooth sync and iphone 8.1.2 OS compatibility issues

Bluetooth does not see my phone, Ford motor company itself has flagged this as an issue, why can't two excellent companies resolve an important customer service issue?

I have a 2014 F-150 (running SYNC) and an iPhone 5 running the latest version of IOS. My vehicle has no problem seeing my phone and working properly with the phone. You may want to consider setting up your phone as a new device as something may be corrupted in the phone software. If that still fails place your phone in DFU mode and restore the firmware and the IOS software. If you still have difficulties then try your bluetooth on your phone with another vehicle from another manufacturer so you can eliminate problems in the phone. If that works then the issue is with your vehicle and it would be time to get the factory involved to have the system in the vehicle replaced under warranty.

According to Apple only the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c or iPhone 5s will work with CarPlay.

  • Mac Mini 2014 with Apple bluetooth keyboard and Magic Mouse

    Hi all,
I'm currently in the process of moving from my old MacBook to a Mac Mini 2014 and I have a couple of questions regarding functionality of the Apple bluetooth keyboard and Magic Mouse with the Mac Mini.
As these are the only keyboard and mouse I have available to me as I currently only have the one computer in the house, I'm wondering how I will pair them with my new Mac Mini (arriving next week for Christmas) without a wired user input device (keyboard or mouse). When I paired them with my MacBook, I of course had its trackpad and keyboard to navigate through the various steps, but as the Mac Mini does not have these, how does the pairing process work? Will I have to get my hands on a wired mouse/keyboard? I'm asking in advance because I need to get my new system up and running to start work on 27th December and so I need to know if I should pick up a cheap wired mouse/keyboard in advance.
My second question relates to the Mac Mini, Apple bluetooth keyboard and Boot Camp. Usually, when I want to boot into Windows on my MacBook, I hold down the Option/Alt key on my MacBook's built-in keyboard to be given the choice of operating systems. Sometimes when I do this using the bluetooth keyboard, it hasn't paired in time and it boots straight into OS X, so I have to wait until that has booted, shut down and then try again. Clearly, this might be a problem on a Mac Mini if I have urgent work I need to complete in Windows, so rebooting over and over until my keyboard finally pairs in time isn't desirable. Any tips here would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help!

If you unpair your BT KB and mouse from the old computer they should pair during the initial setup of the Mini. However, sometimes they donot a wired KB and mouse is required. You can use any USB PC KB and mouse.
Once you get the BT KB to work you can use the Option key on the BT KB while booting to get your choice of OS to boot into.

  • HT204387 bluetooth macbook and iphone won't recognise each other

I am trying to connect my macbook pro to my iphone 4 using bluetooth.  but they don't seem to find each other.

  • Can you sync and iPhone 3GS with two computers?

    Hi all,
I have itunes on 2 different computers - one on a desktop which is the home's media pc and has all the music and films on it.
I also have it on my laptop and this is the machine my iPhone currently syncs with as it hold my contacts, calendar, apps, ringtones etc.
Is there any way that I can put some of my music on my iPhone without physically having to copy the tracks to the hard drive of my laptop?
I've tried this (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1202) and it doesn't seem to work.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

It doesn't work, as that article says:
"iPod shuffle and iPhone are intended for use with a single computer. You cannot load music from multiple computers or iTunes libraries onto iPod shuffle and iPhone like you can with other devices."
There is no way to put media content from more than one computer onto an iPhone. You will indeed need to get all the tracks onto whichever computer you wish to have be your primary connection to your iPhone.
    Regards.

  • Bluetooth iPad and iPhone

My iPad 3G and iPhone 4 can' t find each other. Have can I establish ling among them wireless ?

The only pairing that might work is in games that support peer-to-pear sharing. The BT profiles on the iPad support audio out (speaker, headphones), some HID devices like keyboards, PAN (Personal area network, gaming) and remote for audio out.

  • Can you sync and iPhone and iPad to the same computer with different Apple IDs?

I synced my ipad2 to a computer my husband synced his iPhone to.  It now has his info. Is there a way to sync both devices with different IDs?

You can if you use different user accounts on the computer so you have your own iTunes libraries. It will take some work. Read this.

  • Is there another bug fix coming soon. IpadAir, iPod and iPhone are still having many, many issues even with the last update. IOS8 has been a disaste!

Many features are still having issues, including basic iPad, iPod and iPhone functions that used to be rock solid. When can we expect the next SW releases?

  • IPod Nano 2gen and Honda Music Link 2.0 compatibility issue

I have compatibility issue with my iPod Nano 2nd generation and Honda Music Link 2.0 adapter.
My iPod is on 1.1.3 firmware (the latest), and it doesn't work with Honda Music Link:
I have iPod Nano 2nd Generation (Firmware 1.1.3). I created playlists on iPod like it is written in documentation (Honda1, Honda2, etc.).
I connect iPod, press CD/AUX and it flashes CDC 9 for a while then says CDC Error.
Music is playing but I cannot control iPod from Head unit buttons. The only way to change tracks/playlists is to do it directly on iPod.
Note that when iPod is connected there is no "Honda" logo on it as it is supposed to be.
I discovered that iPod Nano 2gen work with Honda Music Link if the iPod is on 1.0.2 firmware.
Moreover Honda Music Link even doesn't work with other iPods which are on latest firmware version. So the only problem to solve the problem I see is to downgrade the iPod. Buying new one won't solve the problem.
Could you provide me this old firmware 1.0.2 for my iPod Nano 2gen (ipsw + signature files)?
If you cannot please provide me a way how to solve my problem.

I suspect that the dealer is correct.
My wife has a 2006 Accord EX Sedan and the MusicLink ceased to work with her 5G iPod after iTunes 7 and Firmware 1.2 (flashing 6 in AUX-CD mode). It does however still work with my first gen. iPod Nano.
I prefer to use the MusicLink without the TTS software, and have therefore not tried MusicLink 1.3.

  • Help with Exchange 2007, Active Sync and iPhone 3g - software 2.0.2

    Hello good evening and *******
Now that's said, is anyone else having 'issues' with this?
I'm on install number ten of Exchange 2007 and god knows how many different variations of trying to connect to it on the phone. I can get OWA working on the phone and via the web both on the phone and via my home pc, i've had Outlook at home working and i've had Outlook at work working. Honestly when it works, it's seamless and very very quick however i'd like it to work for longer than a day and have some faith that it will do so.
What I keep finding is that for some reason, despite nothing changing on the server or the phone is that Active Sync eventually fails and for no apparent reason. The longest i've had it working is just over a day ( yesterday) and last night it packed up again.
I think it's something to do with certificates / dns but that's purely guesswork as I thought i'd fixed it last time by setting up the FQDN to point at both internal and external network cards on our internal network.
I would also like to point out that Exchange2007 has been working perfectly throughout all of this, it's just the iPhone / ActiveSync part that dies - unsurprisingly this is the most important bit for me as that's the bit our sales force will be relying on when we transfer to exchange.
I'm no Mac 'fan' and i'm not that much in love with Windows but there seems to be something amiss between Apple and Microsoft and due to the iPhones complete lack of diagnostic logging further compounded by silent error messages i'm at a loss to find out where / why / when it's breaking.
Is there a 2.0.3 update due which will address this problem?
In the meantime i'm off to install Exchange ..... again, set up security certificates ... again ..... and see if it will fix what's broken .... again

    And now it's working!!!
I changed the following in IIS.
Default website - Microsoft Server ActiveSync Properties
virtual directory - read access enabled
directory security - integrated windows authentication, digest authentication, basic authentication enabled
    realm - set to mydomain.com
Changed the same things for OWA
That appears to have done the trick but i've been here before so i'll see if it stays working over the weekend.
As a phone ... i'm impressed, as a web enabled device, i'm impressed but as a Corporate Tool ..... i've yet to be impressed, largely due to the complexity of integration into exchange.

  • Bluetooth keyboard and iPhone

Is it possible to use an Apple bluetooth keyboard with the iPhone? Would be a great way to type faster in the phone. Of course this would be when you are home, kinda hard to put that keyboard in your pocket.
    iPhone   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

My vote for this in a future update.
The iPhone is useful as it is, but when I try to use it out-and-about to admin a load of unix machines it gets very boring typing long and complex command lines in using the onscreen keyboard. The BT keyboard I already have which I used to use with an iPaq was excellent for this.
Onscreen KB - great example of the breed for "normal" use, but please give us the choice Apple!

  • Bluetooth Devices and iPhone

I am wondering if anyone can tell me if pairing a bluetooth printer (like a pos printer) can be paired automatically in new iphone version 3, or if it requires development through the new SDK 3 built into some sort of app.
that or even a bluetooth keyboard.
    thanks

that's what i was most curious about. thanks tamara.
i guess i will have to wait and see that it works.
    cheers

  • Is there Mythtv and OS X Server 4.0 compatibility issues ?

I am wondering if I will have issues of installing OS X server 4.0 on my mac mini  when I currently am using Mythtv  (mysql) and Mythweb (apache2)  under Yosemite.   I would like to setup a Xcode Server and use the file sharing services.

    Hi Bryan,
The error disappeared after the catalog was fully downloaded. In my observation it seems that the SUS is only functional when all the downloads have been completed in the first run. It should at lease give a more conclusive error lie "Unable to load data as the catalog is being built".

  • WRT54G and Vantec NexStar LX HD case compatability issue

    Hi,
I bought 2 of the Vantec NexStar LX (NexStar) HD cases and 2 Seagate 500ATA HDs.  One for my home and one for work.  At home, using a D-Link router.  At work, I have the WRT54G (V8) updated the latest firmware last week.  I am hooking up both units (home and work) through wired LAN.
The problem is the NexStar at work doesn't work very well.  After the HD sleeps (say 10min that is set in the NexStar), the router kicks it out of the network and I have to turn the NexStar off/on to have it back up.  Everything else work very well in the network including a Xerox network printer, 4 desktops (2 wired, 2 wireless).
The way I figured to work around this is to disable the "sleep time" so the the HD never stops spinning.  This is obviously a temporary solution.
The one that I'm using at home with a D-Link router works perfectly fine.  I've switched both the NexStar units between home and work and it is still the same.  So, a bad unit is out of the question.
To me, this is clearly a LinkSys problem.
Anyone can point me to a solution would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Tim

Thanks for the suggestions. Even with the default sound driver, I still experience the problem. I contacted MSI and they think it may be a hardware issue. That was the only thing they said. I have my doubts, however. If it was a hardware problem then why don't I have any audio problems when playing music or watching videos?
Anyone have any other ideas? I really don't want to send the computer away, going through that effort and then to find out that it wasn't a hardware problem after all
