2014 Price Rises - Delayed move?

I'm not happy with the price rises and plan to move. I will be calling BT within 10 days of my email to notify them of my wish to cancel, but what happens then? Will they automatically issue me with a MAC or can I delay getting a MAC and get it in another few weeks while still not incuring termination fees?
I have got pre-paid Line Rental Saver until 8th December and the price rises don't come in until January so I'm not in a rush. I want to transfer to another provider and ideally in time for start of December. If I have to transfer now, I will but I would prefer to wait, which surely in BTs interests anyway.

PlusNet have accepted the MAC the agent gave me over the phone.
I've had formal notification of the price increase (I got an email on Thursday), so as stated in paragraph 20 of t&c's I've used one of the contact options to notify them of my intention to cancel. I just don't have evidence that I have done this, other than her word that she will put notes on my account and the fact I've got a MAC code. I will report back on my experience once I've got my final bill.

We can not see your computer, your settings or even know what your source files are because we are not in the same room as you are!
We cant see what you are doing wrong ...so you will have to tell us a lot more and show us some screen grabs of your settings.

Why the huge price rise for films in UK iTunes store?

I have recently noticed an inexplicably huge rise in some film prices on the UK iTunes store.
The films I mean are mainly old British ones (1940s-1950) which were all previously £2.99. Admittedly this was cheap but still in line with other retailers. Now, all of these have gone up to £7.99 - more than double the price! I'm glad I purchased all the Terry Thomas films when I did as these are among the affected items, which also include films starring Norman Wisdom, Will Hay and others of that ilk.
This goes far beyond the VAT issue which has previously been discussed. It seems Apple are just being brazenly greedy now with price rises left and right. Has anyone from the US or other countries noticed this happening in their stores too?

I checked a few old films and Amazon's prices match iTunes:

What could be the Possible Reason, Can it be somwhat related to Currency Conversion Factor but in this Case this may not be the Reason.

This issue will occur at the time of Return PO
PO already there and price control is changed
If the condition record maintained as negative

Bt Price Rise

Today I called up after not receiving my letter about the new price rise. I was told I could not cancel because i already knew about it. I asked someone about the price rise in September because my broadband was playing up. They told me i should ring up on the 4th of January. So I did.
I spoke to a lady. She was so unhelpful and kept claiming that I had to pay the £200 change to leave. I had no choice. BT customer service is awful. I hate Bt you do not inform me when prices go up. I gave up in the end and hung up. Look like I will have to stay with Bt till next year. I will be moving next year. I was upset in the summer all i did was change my package to unlimited calls I was tie in to a contract. I then took out broadband with BT but what a mistake it work when it wants too.
I will never recommend BT to anyone. I have had to go to Virgin Media for broadband. This was because I rang BT for help with my broadband. I was passed to India. 3 hours on the phone and the woman goes i will now reset your wifi password. I was connected to Ethernet. What a joke

UK Price rise for iPhone

Why has the US price of the 16Gb phone remained static (ZDNet today 'nothing else has changed'!) but the UK price has risen from £269 to £329 - an extra £60 ($120)!
The extra 16Gb nearly made it worth it but not with such an unfair price rise!
I'm STILL not buying one!
Sorry this isn't a question- just felt I had to vent my frustration somewhere.

With the recent price rise announced is it possible to cancel my BT phone, sports and infinity without cost?
If so when would that be possible?

Premiere Pro CC 2014 will not import MOV files

As of about two weeks ago, my Premiere Pro CC 2014 stopped importing my Canon MOV files. Never had a problem before. I've had to edit in CC to work around this. They import fine there.

I've looked up all sorts of MP4/MOV comparisons on the web ... most conclude that mov is perhaps a bit "safer" on an Apple OS and mp4 "safer" on a PC and non-Apple "devices", but generally list the contents of the two as being nearly indistinguishable. I do realize the Qt has had ... issues ... within the Adobe programs, especially on PC's.
You have any other good info? Always looking to learn from the more experienced ...

Out of contract - price rises - would you stay or ...

Given the recent price increases, and other fibre options (Sky and Plusnet), and you were out of contract, would you stay with BT and suck up the increases, or move to a (cheaper) competitor. Only concerned with broadband and line rental. not really interested in the TV packages

Difficult to answer. You would have to compare everything that you get with what ever package you are on. If you are out of contract, contact the options team 0800 800 030 and see what sort of deal they can offer you. It might beat the other ISPs.

Price Tags on Movie Paper Sleeves

This has been something that has been bothering me for a while. Every Best Buy I go to the price tags are always placed on a DVD/Blu-ray paper sleeve and they're a pain to take off. Not only that, lots of time it ends up ripping the paper sleeve when removing. Other retail stores either use a price sticker that is way easier to remove, or places like Fry's Electronics, puts the price on the plastic shrink wrap instead of the paper sleeve. It just sucks that I prefer my movie collection to not have a giant price tag on the cover, but it's almost impossible removing it without ruining the sleeve itself

Delayed Movement For Loop

I know this question has probably been asked and answered before, but after searching/reading in the forums, I'm still confused.
So I would like my VI to effectively move a stage a given distance with incremental sizes with pauses of between each step.
Effectively: "Go To" _____ With X step size: causes the VI to: move, pause, move pause...etc until the stage has reached the end.
To accomplish this I set up a for loop inside a case structure, and took the "Go To" / by Step Size to get the number of iterations the loop aught to run (labview apparently rounds the double result to the integer form), and then I send the "Step Size" to the MoveAbs VI.
I am not sure if my logic is terribly off, but when I perform the command, the stage at least moves, but not to the correct location.When I inserted probes, they list the correct values being sent to the subvi's etc...
Does anyone have an idea why this would not work? Any better ideas to institute this type of motion?

I've got another question for you--I've been working on the program and I think I finally understand the basic outline. I've been trying to add other subvi's to increase functionality and I came across a problem:
The error list says that the selector values of the case structure are not unique--which is true of the program I am sending you. So naturally I deleted the extra "VI INI" which was tagged onto the default case. However doing so caused my program to crash--or more accurately cycle in an infinite loop. The program initializes over and over again. The "INI VI" sends another "INI VI" to the array and gets stuck.
I am not quite sure what is wrong, because when I looked at the original program you had sent to me, and earlier versions I had edited, I noticed that they have the same code within the "INI VI" case...in addition, now when I open previous programs--that were functioning perfectly well before--I get the same error message complaining about "not unique selector values". I honestly don't recall ever adding "INI VI" to the default case...
I am attaching the program and was wondering your thoughts, especially given the retrospective error...
Let me know if I was unclear in explaining the problem etc...and thanks again for your help. Others' input welcomed too!

Price rise?

Hi all,
A few days ago my friends and I were in my office talking about going from a Samsung S5 to an iPhone 6 (just the standard, not the plus) and we all noticed it was $899 for the base model which is all I'd really need. We were going to head in today and get them and notice it's now saying the base model price is $999. I've spoken to all of them and they're all sure it said $899 a few days ago.
Has the price gone up in the last few days at all? or have we mistakenly viewed some other price?

Sorry, I should have googled first. It seems we got slugged 15% overnight purely for having silly accents. Absolutely ridiculous.

Why do everytime i minimize something my mouse lags (delay move)?

I've got a problem here!
First i started off using windows 7 ,then I've changed my theme into windows classic, then i changed it back to windows 7 and now everytime i click on a minimize button my mouse lags. I'm using a razer deathadder, but i don't think thats the problem because i've used it before i changed it to windows classic and while i was in windows classic ( no mouse lag while i was on windows classic and windows 7 before that) but now my mouse is lagging wen im back on windows 7.

1571 & BT Caller display

The generic email I've received about the January 2014 price increases mentions the new charges of £1.75 for BT 1571 and for BT Privacy but does not explain if I have these services (it is generic after all!). How can I find out if I have them? They're not mentioned on my (pdf) bills or on the My BT webpage (all this says is "Get BT privacy, BT answer 1571, and BT 1471 calling features at no extra cost" which is some kind of a joke). If I only find out after my first bill after the January increase will the charges be refunded since it hasn't been made clear to me that I have these services?
