2015 X5 and iPhone 6 Not Connecting

Question

Just got the iPhone 6 yesterday and tried ALL day and different ways to try and get it to connect via BT. I called BMW this morning and they said it will either connect but only for a little bit then drop, or not connect at all. She also said they have no ETA on when the problem will be resolved which is especially frustrating. I know a lot of people have had the same issue with BMW and other car companies, but specifically to BMW does anyone have a resolution or sit and wait for either Apple or BMW to sort it out?

Thanks for the reply - I got this figured out.
I have an extended network from an Apple Extreme to an Apple Express (both older versions). It uses the auto-setup type where you just plug the Express directly to the Extreme, reset the Express and it runs through an Auto-config to make the Express an extended WAP. BTW - I'm also using Trendnet home electrical wire network extenders as the middle-man connection between the Extreme and Express (after initial setup) and it works great! - Anyway, the settings auto-config and transfer from the Extreme to the Express such as the timed access setting which I use to lock down hardware addresses instead of using the overhead of WEP or other security (it works fine for me, thanks).
So, my issue was assuming that if I added the hardware address to the Extreme timed-access, that it would auto proliferate to the Express. Well, apparently it didn't and that is why the new iPhone would only connect to the Extreme and not the Express.
After manually adding new iPhone 6 to the timed access settings, the phone still did not want to connect to the closer Express. I then selected to "Forget this Network" on the phone settings, restarted and reconnected to the wifi network and it then connected to the closer Express WAP. All is good now.
