21 repair tickets unsolved in a year for upload speed

This is what the tech told me from the logs. Traceroute timeout at Verizon's end. This is after sending someone out last week who replaced my ONT which fixed nothing. Many hours on the phone going through automated and human (if you can call them that) trying to get to a tech. Finally got a tech yesterday. Knew what he was talking about as I'm a tech for a different industry. He put in a ticket (which is still open) and said I should give it an extra day, realistically. No surprise to me, the xtra day is gone and nothing has been done. For an entire year with 21 (make that 22 now) repair tickets without so much as an email or phone call to let me know of any progress. Gotta love Verizon.

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

    Removed HomeHub 3 and replaced with another homehub 3 got a shot from my friend to test to see if HH was at fault and wow oh wow the new homehub 3 is the cause of the slow upload speeds the whole time.
    Now all i need is DeanM to place a replacement order for a new Hub and we will be laughing.

  • IPad (and iPhone 4) upload speed on wi-fi very slow - any thoughts?

    Both my "i devices" - an iPad and iPhone 4 are very slow for upload speeds on wi-fi. For example, here are the results of using speedtest.net on my iMac 21.5", iPhone 4 and iPad just now:
    iMac: download 38.39 Mbps, upload 19.22 Mbps (so the wi-fi network itself has good upload speeds)
    iPhone 4: download 21.17 Mbps, upload 0.39 Mbps (why so slow?!)
    iPad: download 23.66 Mbps, upload 0.71 Mbps (why so slow?!)
    The wireless router is an Airport Extreme updated to the latest firmware.
    I've seen screenshots of other people's iPad and iPhone speedtest.net tests where the upload speed over wi-fi doesn't suffer compare to download like mine does, by a factor of 54!
    I've seen postings here and there by people with similar problems. Are there any solutions? Are my iPad and iPhone 4 bad? Are they incompatible with my Airport Extreme? Are there "settings" somewhere that can help with the problem?
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Perhaps so. Maybe there are certain kinds of connections which are better suited for iPads and iPhones than others. But the download speed on neither device seem to have problems. It's just the upload speed.
    I did try several channels yesterday - 6 through 13 - but it didn't seem to make a difference.
    Why would trashing my Mac preference files and restarting my Mac help anything? My Mac isn't having any problems.
    Oh, by the by, on my iPhone at least I already tried resetting Network preferences. I even did a Reset > Erase All Content and Settings and re-installed my iPhone 4 from scratch. While still in a "vanilla state" before restoring from my backup, I tried testmyiphone.com via Safari and got similar results - very poor upload.
    The 3G connection also fluctuates between "so so" (1-2 Mbps down, 0.8 Mbps up) and really horrible (0.2 Mbps down and 0.05 Mbps up).
    I did just try your suggested "reset networks" on my iPad. This time I got a download of 13.26 Mbps and upload of 2.2 Mbps on the first test. On the 2nd test I got about the same download, but an upload speed of just 0.63 Mbps.
    So something's still wrong.

    Fibre is not an option at my exchange at the moment. My internet connection works, is 100% stable, and this question is purely about increasing my upload speed.
    My download speed is a nice 8Mbps, but my upload speed is 0.19Mbps. This is completely unusable, posting a large photo to facebook is almost imposible, and posting a video to youtube is practically impossible. It's shockingly slow.
    I'm on the top residential BT Broadband package unlimited which I believe is ADSL 2+. I've read about a product called Annex M that I know BT offer as an option. This allows you to trade some download speed for upload speed.

    Thanks, but I want to maximise the one connection I have. Getting two connections is not really viable for me. I just want to increase my upload speed. If that means loosing a bit of download speed, then so be it.
    I only suggested it as you did say you were prepared to pay to get an increase in upload speed.
    Unfortunately you cannot trade download speed for upload speed.
    Until such time as FTTC is available to you bonding is the only real way.

    The "issues" you've raised are nothing to do with the iCloud service.
    No service that uploads data allows you to disconnect the device you are uploading from while uploading data. Doing so would prevent the upload from completing. It is a basic requirement for any uploading service that you remain connected to it for uploading to be possible.
    The time it takes to upload data to iCloud is entirely dependent on how fast your Internet connection is, and how much data you are uploading. Both of these things are completely out of Apple's control. Whichever upload service you use will be affected by the speed of your Internet connection.

    My requirement is, when the IC agent saves the repair ticket the priority filed should get set automatically to some value based on the business logic. For this i am trying to use Prepare method of the ORDER_SAVE badi. But unfortunately it's not getting triggered when i save the repair tickect in WEB UI.
    Friends, is there any othor Badi for this? or the way i am trying to proceed is wrong. Your help is greatly apriciated.

    Hi,
    Every category has a reason code attached to it in the category modeller. The reason code is configured in the SPRO with the code code gruppe and katalogue.
    You need to get the reason code for gold silver etc.
    In your badi in the method you will first perform a CRM_ORDER_READ to read the subject set (ET_SERVICE_OS)and from there you will get the reason codes for the categories you need to look for the Ref_kind = 'A'.  In the osset you will have the table. Study the entries of this table one of the entries would be referring to the code codegruppe katalogue of gold silver etc.
    Once you have done that you can update the priority by using the FM CRM_ACTIVITY_H_MAINTAIN_OW. here you will have to fill the structure IS_ACTIVITY_H_COM and CT_INPUT_FIELD_NAMES and set IV_EXTERNAL_CALL = 'X'.
    If you are using more than one categories than you will have to back trace to category2 from the last category you entered. For example if you have entered Category 3 before saving you will have to get the category2 from category3 and then look for the reason code details of category 2.

  • Asset Initial Upload & reporting for uploaded value

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    I have uploaded the asset data using AS91 and also updated the GL values in OASV.
    The initial upload seems to be all correct in this manner since TB is tallying.
    However when i view the FA reports for the date of upload i am finding discrepancies in the Accumulated Depreciation values as shown in the report & the values uplaoded in AS91.
    Let me explain further, say for eg. the Cost of the asset was Rs. 10,000/- and Accumulated Depreciation as per legacy (as on date of upload) is Rs. 1858/-. However the actual Accumulated Depreciation should have been Rs. 1863 --- the diffference in legacy data was due to runding offs in previous months.
    Now when i uploaded the intial data i used the legacy figures i.e. Rs. 10,000 & Rs. 1858 since trial balance had to be tallied.
    However when i run reports in FA for the initial upload date, i find that the reports are showing the Acc. Depn (plan values) as Rs. 1863 & not the value that i have uploaded.
    What possibly is the reason for this ?
    Can anyone tell me any report to view only the uploaded information ?
    Points will be awarded for useful answers.

    There is an error appearing as below:
    "Report date 31.08.2007 is invalid for this report.
    Reports of this kind can only be run for the last day of the period in which the last depreciation posting run took place (or in a subsequent period) in the relevant fiscal year.
    It is not possible to run a report on posted depreciation in a fiscal year in which no depreciation posting run has yet taken place."
    My legacy upload date was 31.08.2007.
    When i run for 31.12.2007 (last period in the fiscal year for which dep. run has taken place) then the results are ok.
    But still i would like to assign some points to you since this would have helped indeed.

  • "Closed" Repair Tickets

    Why does Verizon "close" repair tickets when the work has not been completed? 
    Friday my underground FiOS cable was cut somewhere between the junction box and my garage.  I called Verizon; a tech arrived at 5pm.  He said he couldn't determine where the break was (that would require a digging crew) but did run a 500 foot, above-ground jumper cable from the junction box (that's on the other side of my neighbor's house), behind the house next door, behind my house and into my garage (under the garage door) and into my home panel.  This jumper cable is just a black wire on top of the ground with nothing to protect it, so the repair work was not done; the tech came out to make sure I'd been provided with service again.  Friday night I received a text message telling me the repair ticket was closed.  I had no way to comment or respond -- you know, the proverbial Verizon "do not respond" message.
    Saturday morning we lost service again -- but all the lights on our garage box were green.  I called Verizon tech support again and was told that work was being done on a major junction box in our area, and about 100 customers were without service.  I also went through the litany about what happened the day before and asked why I'd gotten a message telling me the ticket was closed.  Tech support couldn't answer, except to acknowledge that the repair ticket was, indeed, closed.  He said he'd re-open it and said we should see a digging crew and tech first thing Monday morning.  Several hours later I received a text message that service had been restored and the repair ticket for our account was closed.
    Today is Monday.  At 10:30 I called Verizon tech support to complain that no digging crew had arrived as promised.  I was informed that there was no open repair ticket!  We now have a crew scheduled to arrive tomorrow at 8am.
    The repair work was never done; a temporary jury-rig was hooked-up to provide us service until the proper repair could be done; yet Verizon closed the repair ticket -- TWICE.
    And, of course, Verizon doesn't provide e-mail or snail mail addresses to allow us to complain.  Instead, we're directed here to the "community" where we can commiserate with each other.  Not very consumer friendly.  As soon as my contract is up, I'm leaving the Verizon community and returning to DISH.

  • Mozilla takes out path of file - Problem! - need full file path for Upload

    There are pages on my site that process the uploading and storing of files (images) from the client's computer, and while IE leaves the full path of the file (like C:\myphotos\jpeg\example.jpg), Mozilla only passes the name of the file (like example.jpg), which is no good! I need to have the full path of the image file in order for it to work.
    How do I fix this issue?

    I personally used the direct input way 6 years ago and it was a little bit of a struggle cause I was very new to SAP at the time.  But it worked out to be ok in the end.  You just have to keep messing with it till the errors are clear and then you can upload for real.  The test mode is a nice touch, you can get rid of all of the errors before actually uploading the data.

    In V12 of Elements I can see no process for uploading my edited work to the tape in my DV Panasonic Video Camera (NV GS500- 10 years old). This was possible in V3. In V12 numerous video standards are quoted for various destinations but nothing for DV Camera tap drive. Has this facility been removed in favour of more modern social media destinations etc?

    OK Many thanks for your help. I am getting closer to my goal. I think I have another problem in that the PC does not recognise my DV connection to the Camera. In line with the process for V3 I have just purchased a Firewire to USB3 conversion cable which my supplier suggests removes the need for a physical 1394 port as the PC detects what is connected  to the USB3 port but WIN DV says "no device connected " Also the PC does not give the usual sound when devices are connected. My old PC had a physical 1394 port which I successfully used to download my edited work to the camera via the DV camera port. If you have any advice re the validity of the statement that the conversion cable is sufficient to download to the DV port on the camera I would appreciate it

    Then the transaction data ( Ideally speaking, there should no open orders i.e. WIP as on the day of cutoff )
    If the WIP (Work in Process) is unavoidable then the materials consumed shall be treated as <b>materials of the previous stage</b> and necessary adjustments shall be made after cutover day
    At this point, I could not able to understand what does the author mean <b>materials of the previous stage</b>
    Now comming to the uploading of data into SAP from legacy system, we use tools like LSMW, CATT & BDC
    Is it a must to use <b>only LSMW tool</b> to upload master data or any other upload tools are fine
    Lastly,. I am not sure about the Tcode of CATT & BDC
    Summary of the questions:
    1.What does the author mean  <b>material of previous stage</b>, for WIP materials during cutover activities
    2. Is it mandatory to use only LSMW tool for uploading for master data

    1.What does the author mean material of previous stage, for WIP materials during cutover activities - as i understood, what is the stage of material..like it must have gone through 2 work centers and other 2 is left. i.e. you need to create Production order with only 2 operation as other 2 is already over. - usually it is done in such a way that we will create Production order and confirm till 2 operations and WIp is calculated so thatb FI will tally the books in SAP and lagacy.
    2. Is it mandatory to use only LSMW tool for uploading for master data - no you can use any tool as required and suits yr requirement
    3. What are the Tcodes for upload tools CATT & BDC- BDC through a prog in SE38. CATT through - SCEM.

    Understand that in both cases the files are linked and not embedded. But what further differences are there?
    I came across this issue because widget 039 (Animated Image Rollovers) from MuseThemes works only if you use the "Add Files for Upload..." option.

    Hi Daniel,
    There are a few differences in both the options-
    Place is used to add content to page (rendered) while Add Files for Upload... is used to upload files to your site but not on page (not rendered).
    Placed images are published to /images folder on the server while images added using Add Files for Upload... option are published to the /assets folder on the server.
    Placed images have a chance of getting renamed (if resized/interpolated in Muse) upon publish while images added using Add Files for Upload... retain their names.
    Place can be used to add limited file formats like jpg/png/psd/swf/oam etc while you can upload almost any type of file using Add Files for Upload...
    You don't see Placed content in the Hyperlinks dropdown for linking while files added using Add Files for Upload... show up in the Hyperlinks dropdown so that you may link to them and allow download.
    Both serve different purposes and Add Files for Upload... is preferred by Widget Developers because it gives more control over uploaded content and assurance that file location and name will be as expected.
    Hope the above give you clarity on the basic difference.

    Yes, you can copy songs that you ripped from a CD to your Home Sharing computer.
    Turn on Home Sharing first on both computers.  To do that, go to File > Home Sharing > Turn on Home Sharing.  Enter your Apple ID and password.
    Now go to your computer that you want to copy the songs to and connect to your Home Share.  You can do that by clicking on the popover button located at the left top corner right below the play control buttons.  Click on it and scroll to the bottom until you see your Home Share and select it.
    Go to Music in your Home Share.  Select the songs that you want to copy in your Home Share and click Import at the bottom right corner.
