23.0.1 single file size download limit

Can you download a single file over 4 gigabytes.
Is there a limit of simultaneous files from a single website (1000+ files)

Yes, depending on the free space and Format of the disk you are downloading to (note that FAT and FAT32 cant store files over 4GB).

  • JSP File Size (64K) Limit

    I have a JSP page that about 16KB in size when this page is parsed and compiled into a servlet the resulting servlet has a method larger than the 64KB limit.
    When I accessing that page it throws error. I am using Orion Web Server 1.4.5 and JDK 1.3. Is this due to JDK or Web Server. How to fix this?
    thanks
    with regards
    Lakshmanan

    Hi Lakshmanan,
    I've run into this problem before, so I'm pretty sure it's the JDK. Our workaround involved breaking the JSP into smaller 'chunks' and including each into a 'parent' JSP. Since each JSP is compiled into it's own Servlet, this appears to resolve the 64K maximum method size limitation. I think this only works with <jsp:include... /> (request-time inclusions), however. Hope that helps,
    Chris

  • Is there an "export as AVI" file size duration limit?

    I would have thought this question had already been addressed, but my choice of key-words didn't find any recent discussions.
    I created a 5-minute movie (iPhoto stills w/ Ken Burns effects). Saved as H.264 encoded QT movie at 768x576 size, but it will be shown on a PC, and I'm uncertain as to whether I'll find the most recent version of QT (or, ANY version) on the PC. I noticed iMovie HD has an AVI export option under the expert settings, so I tried exporting an AVI version. Compression time was only a fraction of the H.264 compression (big "plus" as I'll be doing one of these a week), and the quality was excellent... so, what's the "but"? No matter what option combinations I try, only the first 30 seconds of my movie are exported (which explains the short compression time).
    Since the H.264 version is under 400 MB, there's room for a copy of the QT for Windows installer on the CD, so I just need to arrive early enough in case I need to install QT (I'll want to transfer the movie to the PC's hard drive anyway), but I'm curious to know whether there is a known reason for this limitation, or whether I'm missing something obvious.

    QuickTime Pro doesn't export to Windows Media Player formats without additional software and expense.
    I understand that, but when you're choosing an export option in iMovie (not explicitly in QT), one is not likely to make such an otherwise tangential association.
    Can I infer (from your reference to QuickTime Pro) that the export to WMV option in iMovie would appear only when a QuickTime Pro license is present?

  • Exchange Active Sync Attachment file size limit?

    We are using a UAG 2010 SP1 to provide Exchange Active Sync for both Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2003.
    It seems that especially with our IPADs some users are having problems downloading fairly large file attachments. I'd say in the neighborhood 15-20 MB. My question what is the maximum file size  download limitation for Exchange Active Sync on Exchange
    2003? And Exchange 2010?

    See this for 2010:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-AU/exchange2010/thread/c6ddc56e-da96-4ea2-98c5-4ff9223dac5b
    2003? Hmm not sure where that is stored.  Dont forget you can set attachment sizes on the activesync policies as well.

  • Files always download as "attachment.ashx" instead of the file name and file type that they actually are.

    Since I have installed the new version of Firefox (version 8.0), every single file I download is downloaded as "attachment.ashx" and won't open. I have to change the name as well as the file type in order to open the document.
    This happens regardless of if I'm downloading from email, from a website, etc.. All of the files I have downloaded also have already been named and had file types appended, but Firefox is changing them every single time. I have never had this problem before using the same sites and downloads.

    Please hurry up with a solution! This is causing havoc, as I cannot open any attachments at all! It defaults to Adobe Photoshop, and then I get an error message that it is the wrong type of file. These are all Word docs! I can't get my work done! Is there some kind of work around that I can use in the meantime to open these things?

  • What should I work with for an initial file size for final print pieces that range from 18"x12" to 40' x 20'.

    I am shooting in Canon RAW and using background plates with green screen images. I am not certain whether I need to create the initial file in multiple sizes for the various final print pieces, or if a single file size should be used and then down-rezzed or uprezzed based on what needs to be printed.
    File sizes are:
    18" x 12" (inches)
    40" x 27" (inches)
    30" x 60" (inches)
    60" x 120" (inches)/5' x 10' (feet)
    20' x 40' (feet)
         The largest size format we are doing as 1/10 scale at 720 dpi to go down to 72 dpi for print.
    Any suggestions would be helpful. Much thanks.

    Is it ok to delete the stuff from the Final Cut Express Documents since I don't need it anymore?
    No problem.
    Regards the external drive. Check that it is formatted to Mac OS Extended or you will strike trouble and connect it with a firewire cable, not USB.

  • Is there a file size limit for App Store downloads over wifi?

    I just gifted my friend a navigation app that is 1.4 Gb in size. Unbeknown to me, her iPhone is not tethered to a computer and therefore she only downloads apps directly to the phone via wifi. Is it possible to download a file of this size directly to the phone? So far the app has said "Loading..." for 3 hrs with no movement in the status bar. If there is a limit I would have expected the phone to disallow the process from even beginning.
    Any thoughts on how to get this app downloaded would be greatly appreciated.

    If you right click on the file (navigate to it using finder, or if it is in iCloud you should open keynote, File -> Open and you should see a list of your iCloud keynotes) then press command+i, you'll pull up the info tag which will tell you the file size.
    Keynote also has an option to Reduce File Size  (File -> Reduce Files Size) but I do not recommend it at all because it will severely degrade the quality of your pictures.
    It's also possible to reduce an individual image's memory size in your keynote by right clicking it and selecting Reduce Image File Size).  This is more time-consuming but allows you to see if the degraded photo quality is still good enough, and you can always undo it.

  • LabView RT FTP file size limit

    I have created a few very large AVI video clips on my PXIe-8135RT (LabView RT 2014).  When i try to download these from the controller's drive to a host laptop (Windows 7) with FileZilla, the transfer stops at 1GB (The file size is actually 10GB).
    What's going on?  The file appears to be created correctly and I can even use AVI2 Open and AVI2 Get Info to see that the video file contains the frames I stored.  Reading up about LVRT, there is nothing but older information which claim the file size limit is 4GB, yet the file was created at 10GB using the AVI2 VIs.
    Thanks,
    Robert

    As usual, the answer was staring me right in the face.  FileZilla was reporting the size in an odd manner and the file was actually 1GB.  The vi I used was failing.  After fixing it, it failed at 2GB with error -1074395965 (AVI max file size reached).

  • HT4863 How can I increase the file size limit for outgoing mail. I need to send a file that is 50MB?

    How can I increase the file size limit for outgoing mail. I need to send a file that is 50MB?

    You can't change it, and I suspect few email providers would allow a file that big.  Consider uploading it to a service like Dropbox, then email the link allowing the recipient to download it.

  • FILE and FTP Adapter file size limit

    Hi,
    Oracle SOA Suite ESB related:
    I see that there is a file size limit of 7MB for transferring using File and FTP adapter and that debatching can be used to overcome this issue. Also see that debatching can be done only for strucutred files.
    1) What can be done to transfer unstructured files larger than 7MB from one server to the other using FTP adapter?
    2) For structured files, could someone help me in debatching a file with the following structure.
    000|SEC-US-MF|1234|POPOC|679
    100|PO_226312|1234|7130667

    I would need a the complete data in a single file at the destination for each file in the source. If there are as many number of files as the number of batches at the destination, I would need the file output file structure be as follows:

    Ok Here are the steps
    1. Create an inbound file adapter as you normally would. The schema is opaque, set the polling as required.
    2. Create an outbound file adapter as you normally would, it doesn't really matter what xsd you use as you will modify the wsdl manually.
    3. Create a xsd that will read your file. This would typically be the xsd you would use for the inbound adapter. I call this address-csv.xsd.
    4. Create a xsd that is the desired output. This would typically be the xsd you would use for the outbound adapter. I have called this address-fixed-length.xsd. So I want to map csv to fixed length format.
    5. Create the xslt that will map between the 2 xsd. Do this in JDev, select the BPEL project, right-click -> New -> General -> XSL Map
    6. Edit the outbound file partner link wsdl, the the jca operations as the doc specifies, this is my example.
    <jca:binding  />
            <operation name="MoveWithXlate">
          <jca:operation
              InteractionSpec="oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileIoInteractionSpec"
              SourcePhysicalDirectory="foo1"
              SourceFileName="bar1"
              TargetPhysicalDirectory="C:\JDevOOW\jdev\FileIoOperationApps\MoveHugeFileWithXlate\out"
              TargetFileName="purchase_fixed.txt"
              SourceSchema="address-csv.xsd"
              SourceSchemaRoot ="Root-Element"
              SourceType="native"
              TargetSchema="address-fixedLength.xsd"
              TargetSchemaRoot ="Root-Element"
              TargetType="native"
              Xsl="addr1Toaddr2.xsl"
              Type="MOVE">
          </jca:operation> 7. Edit the outbound header to look as follows
        <types>
            <schema attributeFormDefault="qualified" elementFormDefault="qualified"
                    targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/file/"
                    xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
                    xmlns:FILEAPP="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/file/">
                <element name="OutboundFileHeaderType">
                    <complexType>
                        <sequence>
                            <element name="fileName" type="string"/>
                            <element name="sourceDirectory" type="string"/>
                            <element name="sourceFileName" type="string"/>
                            <element name="targetDirectory" type="string"/>
                            <element name="targetFileName" type="string"/>
                        </sequence>
                    </complexType>
                </element>
            </schema>
        </types>   8. the last trick is to have an assign between the inbound header to the outbound header partner link that copies the headers. You only need to copy the sourceDirectory and SourceGileName
        <assign name="Assign_Headers">
          <copy>
            <from variable="inboundHeader" part="inboundHeader"
                  query="/ns2:InboundFileHeaderType/ns2:fileName"/>
            <to variable="outboundHeader" part="outboundHeader"
                query="/ns2:OutboundFileHeaderType/ns2:sourceFileName"/>
          </copy>
          <copy>
            <from variable="inboundHeader" part="inboundHeader"
                  query="/ns2:InboundFileHeaderType/ns2:directory"/>
            <to variable="outboundHeader" part="outboundHeader"
                query="/ns2:OutboundFileHeaderType/ns2:sourceDirectory"/>
          </copy>
        </assign>you should be good to go. If you just want pass through then you don't need the native format set to opaque, with no XSLT
    cheers

  • Can't download large file-size Apps

    I have about 700MB free on my iPad. I have been trying to download a 270MB app since last night. I am using a Wifi connection. Everytime I attempt the download it gets about %70 through and then fails, either removing the app completely from the device or just starting over from the beginning again.
    Is there a limit to file sizes that can be downloaded directly onto the iPad?
    I can't use iTunes to sync the iPad at this time and it will be several days before I am able to do that.
    Am I out of luck here? Or is there a way to convince my iPad to play nice?

    Even though you have 700 mb free, that may not be enough.  You typically need 3 or more times the app's size during installation.  If you really need this app before you can use your computer, you can delete videos to make room.  Just tap and hold on the video's thumbnail until a circled white X appears.  Tap the X to delete the video.  You can put it back when you can access your computer.

  • FTP Adapter File Size Limit

    Hi,
    Is there a limit on file size for FTP 'put' operation in BPEL/ESB FTP adapter for the file in ASCII format?
    For File adapter polling the limit is 7 MB unless Debatching feature is used I think.
    Thanks

    There used to be but in 10.1.3.4 the restriction has been lifted but there are some restrictions. If you have File / Ftp input and File / Ftp out put you can use the MOVE functionality
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/relnotes.1013/e12523/adapters.htm#CHDHJGHG.
    If you are using DB adapter this won't work and the 7MB file limit exists, although this is really streatching it. I wouldn't go above 1MB. Oracle Data integrator is a good option for this kind of pattern.
    cheers

  • Folio file size limit

    In the past their were file size limits for folios and folio resources. I believe folios and their resources could not go over 100MB.
    Is their a file size limit to a folio and its resources? What is the limit?
    What happens if the limit is exceeded?
    Dave

    Article size is currently capped at 2GB. We've seen individual articles of up to 750MB in size but as mentioned previously you do start bumping into timeout issues uploading content of that size. We're currently looking at implementing a maximum article size based on the practical limitations of upload and download times and timeout values being hit.
    This check will be applied at article creation time and you will not be allowed to create articles larger than our maximum size. Please note that we are working on architecture changes that will allow the creation of larger content but that will take some time to implement.
    Currently to get the best performance you should have all your content on your local machine (Not on a network drive), shut down any extra applications, get the fastest machine you can, with the most memory. The size of article is direclty proportional to the speed at which you can bundle an article and get it uploaded to the server.

  • How to limit file size for FileUpload UI element?

    Hi all,
    I'm using the FileUpload UI element in NW2004s SP20.
    I want to limit the size of the uploaded file.
    The simple option is to load the file to the context, check the size, by using
    InputStream stream = resource.read(false);
    double size = stream.available();
    and report errors if any.
    However, I don't want to store huge files in the context or flie system (even temporarily) nor 'spend' network resources for uploading a file that I won't be use...
    Is there a way to limit the file size by using some property for the fileUpload UI element in the server?
    Is there a way to check the file size before it's uploaded (for example like GMAIL does - checks the file BEFORE the actual upload)
    Regards,
    Omri

    Hi Omri,
    "(but this can be checked AFTER the file was uploaded)" - what do you really mean here? I mean your main query is to restrict the file upload if it crosses certain size-limit. What is the use if you check the size after upload?
    My problem is the network traffic and the CPU load if users are trying to download huge files..., if the upload is restricted for size this download problem will not come .. correct?
    Not sure about the UI element properties has something to restrict the size, and if its really related to Network traffic and CPU utilization, i think you've to check with Basis team to re-sizing the servers to meet this new requirement of upload/download if its not considered before.
    Or the last option i could see is to use KM Upload iView if sizing is done with these considerations.
    Thanks,
    MS
