2310m monitor starts OK, then displays stripes

I bought the 2310m monitor and an extended, 2-year warranty, with a Pavilion p6680t desktop in December 2010. It worked well until a month ago. Now, the 2310m monitor has an intermittent problem. Please see the picture. It will start growing these vertical, blue and purple colored, stripes at the bottom of the screen. Within 15 seconds, they crawl up to the top of the screen, obscuring everything.
I tried a new HDMI cable, but I got the same behavior.
Any ideas?

You should determine if the monitor is faulty or if there is a chance that your PC's video card or the monitor cable is at fault.  The best way to achieve this is to connect this monior to another PC and see if it exhibits the same fault.  If it does, your options are:
Call HP support in your local country to find out your options, i.e. repair, and/or
Think about shopping around for a replacments monitor

    I have a two and half year mac book pro... I've had some issues with the screen looking scrambled when I quit certain applications, but now it's turned into something worse.  I'll be working on my computer and the thing will freeze.  When I force restart, the first screen, the apple logo, will be a blue tint and won't boot up normally.  Then I try safe mood and it will then boot just fine.  But there are blue stripes on my screen.  The screen alternates from a blue tint to normal and if the computer freezes again the screen will become completely blue with black stripes.  I haven't tried reinstalling my software because I don't have the startup discs that came with my computer.  If I was sure that would fix it I would purchase them, but if it's a hardware issue I'm afraid that I'm screwed.  I've been able to successfully get the blue off my screen by putting it to sleep and then waking it up, but that's not working well anymore either. 
    Does anyone else have experience with this?  Is it the firmware or what?  I have a MacBook Pro from early 2011 and I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.8.

    I just experienced this exact same issue with my early 2011 15" macbook pro. Since like a month after purchasing it I had issues with the screen randomly going dark on me. I sent it in for repair inder waranty they replaced the gpu and logic board but I continued to have the same issues with the screen randomly going black sometimes I would need to reboot it in order to get the screen to go back on but it happened so infrequently and I used the computer for school so disnt find the time to resend it in to apple. Just last night the screen started to display the blue screen with black verticle lines on it. I called apple and explained to them  the issues that had been ongoing since I purchased the laptop but they said because I was now outside of warantee that any repairs at thia point wouldn't be covered. Fml so glad I spent 2200 on this future proof macbook pro what a joke my sister purchased a toshiba laptop for 300 4 years ago and it still running like a champ. I loved my macbook but at the price I paid I expect it to last longer than 2 years before leaving me high and dry. *** apple??

    It's likely that your Library database has been damaged in all the crashing.
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Monitor occasionally doesn't display imagee/wake

    I'm using an NEC monitor on a MacPro tower (2 x 2.66).  I upgraded to a clean install of Lion, 10.7.3.  I'm having intermittent issues with my monitor not displaying a picture.   I did not have this issue previously wiht 10.6.
    Typical scenario -- monitor & computer will go to proper sleep.  Hours later, if I click on the wireless mouse or keyboard, the system seems to wake from sleep (can hear the drive spin up, fan, etc.).  But the monitor doesn't wake/display a picture.  I have to press the power button on the machine to shut it down (usually a no no), and then power back up to get a picture to come on.
    Other scenario -- machine is completely powered off, and when I start it up, no picture is display.  I power down the machine again, then power back on, screen starts up no problem.
    Again, this doesn't happen all the time but enough to be a pain, and I worry about having to always force power down the machine (by holding the power buttton) to turn it back on and try again.
    Anyone else reporting similar or advice on things to try?

    Actually, after gnome 2.6.28 update (i don't remember if there was a xorg update) i must restore the xorg.conf (the minimal config file from xorg log, as from wiki). The key is that you must add a "Virtual" line under subsection "Display" so that xrandr can output in total resolution of both displays. Otherwise it will complain about the screen size not big enough.

    What’s the version of your TFS?
    How do you configure the test control?
    Please make sure you are specify the team collection instead of team project.
    On the other hand, you may enable test controller logs. (You could share the log file on the OneDrive)

  • BOP Monitor missing Sales Orders, Displays only STOs

    Hi,
    We have an issue with a back order processing monitor screen.  BOP Monitor displays both SO and STO immediately after the BOP run but wipes out the SO from display after few hours. I guess the SOs have been deleted from buffer and so we don't see them on monitor screen.
    We have no functional issues as SO have been processed and confirmed but only the monitor screen misses SO. How does the buffer removes only SO?  Do we have any programs to change the buffer? Much appreciate your clues here.

    Hi Asokan,
    BOP Monitor is a dymanic display unlike SM37 background jobs log. So, if you see the Monitor immediately after BOP run, it would show you the results of BOP. However, if you see after some hours, the display will show you dynamic situation of your BOP result elements i.e. situation of schedule lines at that moment.
    If you have any program in R3 that updates sales orders, then there is possibility that the sales order schedule lines are updated and no longer available for display.
    Please check whether you get any messages in BOP Monitor. Also, for reference to BOP runs, please refer BOP_RESULT instead of Monitor. This report is static and will show you situation before BOP and after BOP.

  • Failed to get Monitor - Start Maintenance Mode

    Hi,
    Am struggling with a problem with Orchestrator R2 apparently not recognising output from a Monitor alert step in a run book.  I have Orchestrator 2012R2 and SCOM 2012R2 configured.  Orchestrator is co-located with VMM2012R2.
    Operating system for all is Windows server 2012
    I have installed and deployed the Orchestrator R2 Integration packs which in deployment manager state version 7.2
    I have checked to ensure that both Orchestrator, SCOM and VMM are all R2 (They are)
    I am looking to create a runbook that will start services as per the link here: (Thanks to Jakob for this)

    I can test the connection to the SCOM server - fine
    I create the monitor alert step and test - fine
    I create the start maintenance mode step and get the following error:
    Filed to get Monitor.  The exception was "An object of class MonitoringObject with ID 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 was not found.".
    I have used the runbook tester and the monitoringobjectfullname is present in the output for the start maintenance mode step.
    However irrespective of the variable that I attempt to use in start maintenance mode step I continue to get the same error as above.
    The monitor alert step completes with no issues, but everytime on the start maint mode step it fails.
    I have validated the SCOM connection account has all the appropriate SCOM permissions.  I have also provided it with full domain admin rights, but with no success. 
    Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this would be welcomed

    A little extension of your approach as this is only usable if you want to set a Windows Server into Maintenance Mode - but not e.g. for Distributed Apps
    I just required the "Start Maintenance Mode" Activity to set a distributed app and a websphere application server instance (which is not linked with the server itself). And I did not find any documentation how to fill the field - only for Windows
    Computer.
    So I'll post my result on how to get the value which needs to be entered within the "Monitor" field:
    (PowerShell - Use "Activities > System > Run .Net Script > Type: Powershell)
    Import-Module OperationsManager
    $object= Get-SCOMMonitoringObject -displayname "<desired object displayname";
    # or use the ID instead:
    # $object = Get-SCOMMonitoringObject -ID "<ID of object>";

    Hello  we have trex  version  7.10.55.00   on linux x64  installed .
      To get to the  admin screen with    TREXAdmin.sh   I first start up attatchmate Reflextion x (version 14.05)
      Then do en export of my ip address

    Then run the  TREXAdmin.sh   command and the admin screen works ok
    I just  installed a new version of trex   on linux X64    7.10.61.00  and when I try to access

    I have found 1 pc  (vista with same version of reflection x) where it works ok and  a windows server  that also works.
      I did some compares of the reflection x settings but have not found any difference.  any ideas?

    Please check on which port the xmanager is listening, for example from your log it shows as "10.50.123.456:0" make sure your xmanager tool also shows '0' as the port.

    Applications>Utilities>Activity Monitor and you can kill them there.

  • Print jobs keep starting and then error in print que

    I have a HP Photosmart 100D series printer. The print jobs keep freezing up in the que. The jobs start and then after a page or two the error message appears when checking the status.
    I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled
    I have download new drivers
    I have run the "HP Print Doctor" it gives a message to save work, close and programs and restart the PC and then restart the ulitity. I have done this and still get the message that it cannot fix the que error.
    What do you suggest as a solution to this frustrating problem?

    Hmm. I have an HP printer that's behaved fine, but I've moved it to my iBook (running Tiger) so I can print wirelessly.
    It may be an issue with the driver or the software. I'm guessing the software was written for the PPC machines, and that might be causing the problem.
    The way I've checked this is to open up "Activity Monitor" (Applications>Utilities) and find the processes related to your HP printer (usually begin with "hp") under kind what's shown?
    You might want to look into the CUPS idea presented earlier as it may give you better results.

    Mine's a late '09, but there have been display issues with iMacs.
    Contact Apple Service, iMac Service or Apple's Express Lane. Do note that if you have AppleCare's protection plan and you're within 50 miles (80 KM) of an Apple repair station, you're eligible for onsite repair since yours is a desktop machine.

  • I have Windows 7 Pro, 64Bit. Itunes works fine except I can't go to the ITunes store from in the software. It starts and then goes blank page. I have tried all the fixes and had a IT group working all day on this. Not fixed. Any suggestions?

    I created a test form to try to get this work and can't seem to make it work. In my form I have a ddlist on page 1. on page 2 I have a subform that the selection in the ddl makes visible--that's working.
    There is a radiobuttonlist in the subform. I'd like to check on the submit button if ddl == 2 and radiobuttonlist == null then display a message. Here is my script:
