2330 auto-restored loosing all data
Hi everybody,
I'm almost desperate, yesterday my mobile started having some trouble...I was deleting text messages when it suddenly turned off. As I turned on the mobile messages was all disappeared, the saved too, not only the marked. Today I was deleting some more SMS when a new error occurred: it said: "impossible deleting messages, some message already retrieved". I turned off the mobile and tried to disconnect the battery. When I turned it on IT ALL WAS DESAPPEARED! Photos, video, notes, reminders, meeting, messages, expenses... it was virgin as the day I took it off the box. Someone told me it's a software matter, and data can't be retrieve no more....HELP ME PLEASE!!!
Also looking for a solution, Messages was up to 2GB so went through and got rid of all pictures and videos, still taking up approximately 600 MB when I go to General > Usage
Any ideas?

When you restore all new - you will lose text message, pictures.. however you can sync back contacts/apps/music via itunes. IF you imported your pics to your computer you can sync it back with itunes.
If you restore from backup - then no data loss. -
my iphone 3gs has broken [was in a sort of reboot loop] so that is being fixed and i get it back on Thursday. I may loose all data from it being fixed and that would of been fine as i have a recent back up on my i-tunes. However yesterday my laptop decided to turn itself off and not work anymore so thats going to be going to get fixed soon as well but is there anyway of getting my back up i had on my itunes on a different computer?

You don't, unless you have a recent backup of the phone. The only way to recover from a forgotten passcode is to restore the phone. You can then restore to your last backup. If you do not have a backup then you will lose your data. At this point you cannot create a backup. iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled

When trying to upgrade my iPhone to iOS5, it indicates that I will loose all data and apps and that I should update my iPhone using the computer that I sync'd with originally. I no longer use this computer and how can I sync with my new on and not loose my apps?

does anyone have any idea how one can keep their data on iPad after leaving icloud as it appears that you loose all data when doing this...its killing me!!!

What if the problem with their device is that it requires a new-fangled "grounded" outlet and your circa 1890 house doesn't have grounded outlets. Would you refuse to purchase a $ 25 adapter on principle? -
My iPad 3 usually syncs with a Windows PC, but since I got the new Mac I thought I'd now sync with it. But when I connected the iPad and tried syncing, iTunes is warning me that I am about to loose all existing data in the iPad and it will be replaced with data from the Mac. I do not have any data on the laptop yet, though I have a lot of photos, music, videos and stuff, most of all many paid apps and games! Now how do I do the syncing without loosing all this? How can I tell my laptop to keep all data in the iPad intact, make a copy of it in teh laptop and go on from there?
It's a problem that happens when you change libraries. Backward syncing only works if you have the Apps on your iDevice downloaded into iTunes through the Transfer Purchases option, but this still does not cover your media (Movies.. Songs.. etc.)
When you double click on a file to play it in iTunes, it will duplicate that file and place the new copy in iTunes' directory. By default, all the files that appear in iTunes must come from this location, and you do not have this directory 'filled up' with the same files you used to sync to.
I guess Apple could solve this issue by allowing iTunes libraries to automatically tag media to particular devices for ease of syncing, but what if you want to sync the same device with 2 different libraries on different computers?
I normally don't sync apps with iTunes at all, because iCloud handles that. -
Health app loosing all data and source apps
After restarting phone health app lost all data, data source apps show sometimes and do not sometimes. Apps still set to share with health..
Today I did a full restore thanks to this post Health app has crashed, data gone. and some spare time to sit down and do it.
After re-adding the apps to share their data the Health app appears to be working as it was before for me. Hope this helps. -
Palm Tungsten E2 desktop looses all data
I'm using the 4.1.4 version of the desktop software. I don't need any connectivity so my Palm is just used as my personal manager. I haven't synced in a long time and I haven't done anything in the desktop to cause this. I opened the desktop Palm today and all data has been erased. This is the second time this has happened to me--once about a year ago.
I'm afraid to sync my handheld in fear that it will erase all the data in that.
I'm using XP Home as my OS.
Anybody have ANY idea as to what's going on?

I had to restore my phone and am now wondering how to get apps back and music back? Also cannot figure out what incoming/outgoing server details are for mail? Yours truly dim.

A reset as outlined below will not damage/remove data.
Push and hold the Home button and the Sleep/On/Off button at the same time for approximately 15 seconds (until silver Apple logo appears), ignore slide to turn off indicator. Allow to restart as normal. -
I need help before I through my phone out the window. I tried updating my phone and have had nothing but problems. It is now in recovery mode and iTunes is telling me I need to restore it back to the factory setup. I do not want to restore my phone, I am going to loose all of my data if I do this. How can I get my phone out of recovery mode? I have already tried holding how the power and home buttons, letting one go at a time and contenting to hold them down for a number of seconds blah blah blah blah blah. It doesn't work, I don't know what to do.
If the phone is in recovery mode, the data is already gone. You'll need to restore your information from your most recent back up.

You must restore it, losing anything you have failed to backup or store on your computer or cloud service.
