24 hour format for time display

How does on comigure firefox os to display time in 24 hout format on the home screen?

Hello,
This is not currently possible for the English locale of the Firefox OS. In v1.0 the time format is tied to the locale:
• 12h-format for en-US
• 24h-format for pt-BR, es, fr
There is a bug report discussing this here: [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=811242 Bug 811242]
Hopefully this feature will be added in a future version of Firefox OS.

Why does a digital indicator formatted for time & date add 16 hours to the input?

I wire a digital indicator with a double precision value that is supposed to indicate an elapsed time. But the indicator (formatted for time and date, with the date inactive) always adds 16 hours to the wired input.
This problem occurs even in a simple vi I wrote that only consists only of a constant wired to the indicator.
Using LabView 6.0.2

Labview interprets the number passed into an indicator formatted for date & time as seconds since Jan. 1st 1904. I'm assuming that since you're looking for elapsed time this is not what you're passing in. One thing that I've done is get the elapsed time in seconds and write a routine to convert that into whatever format you want.

How do I change the new iTunes play list total time display from 1.5 hours format to exact display of 1hr 31min 12sec.

In the new iTunes the play list total time displays in 1.5 hours format, how do I get it to clearly show 1hr 31min 12sec like before, I want the exact time so I can properly fit all the songs when I want to burn this playlist to a disc. You can no longer just click on it to change the display format. Nor can you right click, control click, or change it in options. If anyone knows I would very much appreciate your imput. Thank You.

Actually, that's the problem ... in iTunes *11* it has stopped working. I have the status bar displayed, and it is stuck on the 1.x hours format.
That is very, very strange !!
I can't get that to happen on mine. It worked in 11.0 and I updated today to 11.0.1 and it's OK.
I've tried making a new playlist, I've tried changing an old playlist, smart playlist ...... all OK ????

Disk partion format for time machine back up.

I have 2 external drives on for Mac and one for Bootcamp
I'm trying to format my drive for time machine back up. There's:
Mac Os extended (Journaled)
Mac Os extended
Mac Os extended (case sensitive Journaled)
Mac Os extended (case sensitive)
What's the difference with all those??
Also I'm trying to format my other disk to be NTFS format but all I see are:
ExFAT
Free Space.
What's the difference? I'm trying to see what would be the best option for me.

Look under Options in the Partition tab in Disk Utility.
For Windows, format under Windows.
GUID for Mac
MBR for Windows

I would like to programatically set the "Date Unused" on X Scale formatting for time plots.

I can use the X Scale formatting on the front panel, but when I change from time to decimal using property nodes the "date" keeps showing up. How can I turn the date feature off so I just see Time in HH:MMS format?

Disregard. I found the answer. Set the XScale.Format value to 6 (relative Time). feed in total seconds from start of day to the Xo, The reciprocal of data frequency to DeltaX, and set the decimal resolution to 3. This results in a time tagged plot showing just time (no Date).

Time display

Somehow I have the time displayed wrong. I have enabled the time display in the menu, digits no seconds. like 10:42. When my screen saver "computer name" starts the time is displayed in: minutes / seconds. Like 4232. This seems to affect the profiler as well. What I did is changing the time server from apple.europe to apple us. Thought that might solve a video chat issue. That was a couple of days ago and I reset it to european time within an hour.
The time displays accurate in the menu and the settings in preferences. I don't know how to set it so the screen saver to display it h/min/sec again. Does any one know how I can adjust this?

My error. Most likely I ignored that setting years ago and missed it this time. You've got something amiss, no matter which time setting I show in Date & Time, the screensaver, with show time selected, only shows hours and minutes. You could move all screensaver plist files from /username/Library/Preferences/ and /username/Library/Preferences/ByHost/ to the desktop, log out and back in, reset its settings, and see if that fixes the problem.
Alternatively, check the International prefPane for time formats.

Please check your local time format settings by the following steps:
1. Click the Time in the right bottom corner taskbar.
2. Click Change date and time settings.
3. In Date and Time window, click Change data and time.
4. In Date and Time Settings window, click Change calendar settings.
5. In Customize Format window, switch to Time tab.
6. Change the Short time format as H:mm instead of h:mm tt, set the Long time as H:mm:ss.
7. Click OK to save the setting to have a try.

Optimize Slide size for McBook display. Is 1280x792 the perfect format?

Using any of the proposed format in Keynotes 09 will leave you a dark bar on both left and right side. Hence I've changed the slide setting to 1280x792 and it really fits nicely on the screen for any display.
Haven't tried yet with a video projector or on printed material, yet I'm assuming people who will use the presentation will just view it on their laptop.
Have anyone of you tried this as well. Any experience to share? Thanks

AA and AAA rechargeables are great. One can usually charge up to four at a time with most chargers, and chargers that take an hour or less are available(the 5 minute chargers require special batteries and put excessi've strain on the batteries). They are also very inexpensi've. Carrying a few spares is no big deal. I have small plastic cases that were specifically made to hold 2 AA or AAA batteries and other cases specifically designed for 4 of them. I would hate to have to swap out the player battery, swap in the spare then plug the player in just to charge spares one at a time. Proprietary batteries are expensi've, while AA or AAA nimh rechargeables are often around $0 or so for 4(for the higher capacity ones. Slightly lower capacity ones are even cheaper).

Is there a way to remove the leading zero from the 24 hour time display in iOS8?

In the previous versions of iOS, the 24 hour time format for some regions dropped the leading zero from single digit hours: 1:23 for example.
In iOS8, it appears that once 24 hour time format is toggled, the time is always displayed as four numbers: 01:23 for example.
Is there a way to revert to this older format without leading zeroes?

Yes, a colleague of mine was able to figure it out. Just double-click the chapter title in the .aggr project. It places it into edit mode and allows you to remove the ".swf" extension as well as make any other changes to the name that you want. It's so easy now that we know how to do it, but it was tricky to figure out since the chapter list does not appear editable at first.

How can I change my iCal times to be listed in 12 hour format?

I have the system set for 12 hour but it does not seem to carry over to iCal. I have restarted since changing the system to 12-hour clock.
By the way, I mean the little timeline running down the left hand side in week view. Individual appointments are opening in 12-hour format.
I've worked on this a bit and now noticed that the event times are listed as 5:30PM-18 etc. Any hour which is 'on the hour' is a single number from a 24 hour clock! Wierd.
Don't want to change away from UK settings because then I'll have to mess with date formats and everything. There must be a way to edit the date, although doing it through 'Language & Text' doesn't seem to be having the desired effect!

This isn't Lion-specific. I had the same prob changing OS a couple of years ago and now again changing to Lion on a new laptop.
Changing the Date and Time settings would do it (you'd think) but it doesn't. It was always embedded in International (now Language &Text). It seems to be a bug though as I've Custom Edited selecting 12-hr clock with am/pm and have the same issue. On-the-hour has no am/pm or zeros.
I've learnt not to waste too much energy on it once it doesn't make logical sense as it's generally a bug.
I'm loving Lion though - even unexpectedly using the natural scrolling.....but I digress....

I have a 25 song playlist that is around 2 hours on my computer appears as 2003 minutes on my iPad. It's a smart playlist limited to 25 songs if that makes any difference. Is this happening to anyone else? Any help would be appreciated!

First make an iCal backup, File > Export > Archive.
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
__NOTE: Removing these files will remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
Once the computer is back up and running open iCal and test.

Time recording in 12 hour format with CATS??

Can some body let me know, whether it is possible to record time using CATS in 12 hour format using the clock times.
I need to record time as 08:00 am to 04:30 pm and the system shoud count it as total of 08:30 hours.

In the CAC1 tCode, in the data entry profile you need to select the With clock times.
As per ur requrirement you have created the work scheudles. you assigend that work scheudle in 0007 for the employee.
While going to CAT2 tcode. there next to total colum one column is there WE there you can give the total hrs. on the basis of
works Schedule system will take that attendacne in the 2002 infotype. Then you can approve and transfer to HR through CAT4.
Then you can go and see in the 2002 infotype there you can see the start time and end time.

How do I get the hour (24 hour format) from a stored Time value

I have a field called start_time in a mysql database and all I need to do but unable to do so far is extract the hour in 24 hour format (no leading zeros) from this field. I have tried all the date functions including date('G'), getdate and start_time[hours] array.
I keep getting either todays date & time, or just he first digit in the hour.
The following is the closest it has come to working but this is the on ethat is return just the first digit of the hour if there is two digits in the 24 hour format (ex: 2 pm = 14, it returns oly the 1)
