24-inch + GT120 in a Windows box?

Howdy,
I want to be able to use a new 24-inch display on a Windows machine as well, and am willing to put in a GT120 as well.
Does anybody have any experience to let me know if this will work using the normal Nvidia drivers, or is there some "magic" only in Bootcamp which allows use of the display under Windows?

Cinema display 24" + Macpro 2008 or 2009 and GT120 will work perfectly with Windows Through Bootcamp.
Actually we bought 4 Mac Pro 2008 + 4 GT120, and 5 Macpro 2009 (GT120 Built in), we setup both to work with Vista 64. You have to download the driver from the Nvidia website or upgrade them from the device list.
I had some problems when installing with a second video card, and sometimes when we log off a machine too long, when you try to wake it up there are some distortions on the screen, so you have to unplug the video cable from the cpu and plug it again then it will fix the problem.
I'm sure with a new upgrade of the bootcamp Driver it will work natively.

Your wifi problem sounds very much like the problem I had. The wifi would drop out, the icon showed it was still connected. If I turned it off, I couldn't turn it back on. Another user here pointed me to the problem, which was the wifi cable (the flat cable goint from the card to the motherboard). I found it on ebay for $13 and it's been running fine since I replaced it. This is the repair guide for your machine. The part number will be on there if you click the link.

I wanted to install windows for Mac and I had vista so I put I the disk and installed it then it loses my computer wen I turned it on it went straight to windows and it asked me to install it and put in the windows box code I found out I didn't have Ma.

The two other posts are correct... so I'll just clarify. What's happening right now is your system is trying to boot into Windows in order to finish the installation. What you want to do is make it boot into OS X. As mende1 indicated, with your system off, hold down the Option key and continue to hold it while you turn the system on. You will eventually be presented with an option to select which partition you would like to boot from. Choose OS X. After you get into OS X, again, as mende1 indicated, change the Startup Disk to OS X. What this will do is cause your system to automatically boot into OS X when you restart it instead of you having to use the Option key when booting each time.
Relaunching BootCamp Assistant will allow you to remove your Windows installation and partition.

TS4123 When I run autoruns as suggested by TS4123, a DOS program runs but no Windows box opens, so I can't check for LSP conflicts

I am trying to troubleshoot an iTunes problem, which may be related to the resources issue that has been previously identified.
My problem is that once iTunes has been running for more than half a day or so, when I play music the program "skips" through the song, playing snippets a fraction of a second long. A 4 minute song will be done in a few seconds. The program then skips to the next song and this repeats. Rebooting solves the problems for a few hours, then it reoccurs. Other symptoms include iTunes not responding quickly, especially to closing it.
As per TS4123, I tried to rune the Autoruns program to see if I had a conflict. I launched the program and a DOS box opens and runs some command line items, but nothing else happens. I don't see a Windows box like I should.
Help on either problem?

Smartform Main Window Box designing

Hi,
I have created a smartform with 5 windows. In the main window maximum 12 records will be fitted. In Main window, In the output options tab i have selected Lines with Check box and Always draw Check box.The height of the main window is 4.80 CM. Each Record will occupy 0.40 Cm Height.For this i want dynamic window box creation. For Example if the internal table contains only two records it has to draw box only with 0.80 Cm height only, Suppose if the internal table contains 10 records then it has to draw box with 4 CM height. Here in my Smartform i am always creating 4.80 Cm height box. Is my requirement Possible? If yes, How?

as far as dynamic row wise box you can achieve....
but if only you want boxes depending on the lines means it's difficult to do because you may not know how may line will come. as you have mention for only 2 and 10 records means i have an idea but don't know whether it will work or not as these boxes will be drawn depending on the height( and it's constant).
what we can try is.
first count the number of lines in your internal table.
in main if check the condition
if internal table has 2 lines then define one table with your reqirement,like "if the internal table contains only two records it has to draw box only with 0.80 Cm height only".
mention the height in table->details as 0.80cm.
if internal table has 10 lines then define one table with your reqirement,like "if the internal table contains only two records it has to draw box only with 4 CM heightheight only".
mention the height in table->details as4 CM height.
in else... your can write as many as depending on your req...
this is lengthy, hope this will achieve your requirement.

Get rid of Java applet window box

We are currently using TTA 4.0 for Intel Linux Kernel. When bring up applications through the TTA, a "Java applet window" box is attached to the bottom of each applications. Is there a way to get rid of the box?

Airport Express used to receive music from a Windows box?

Can an Airport Express be connected to speakers and receive music files wirelessly from a Windows computer with iTunes on it?

in theory yes... i have an ibook, mac mini and xp box... of course the ibook and mac mini see and play music effortlessly through speakers plugged in to the airport express... the confounded windows box sees the speakers but when i select them from the drop down menu in iTunes, it attempts to connect but comes back with base station not compatible with this version of iTunes... i really think it is a windows "problem" but APPLE pitches this product as windows compatible and was "sold" on the we will support it pitch from apple store but have received no satisfaction to that end as of yet... if i have to i am going to bring the xp box in to the apple genius and let them have a go.. i started an informal survey re: this issue in an earlier post to see if ANYONE has successfully made this work on windows box... oddly enough or should i say not odd at all NO positive reponses!

Why am I getting different results for the same resolution but different Windows boxes, Win 7 and XP

I am running an .exe on two different windows boxes, one in Win 7 and one on XP. I set both for resolution 1024 x 768.
On Win 7 (laptop and old Dell desktop) I have a great looking app. On the WIn XP boxes all the fonts to large. THis doesn't make sense to me as all the PC's have the same resolution.
Has anyone run across this before?

I've installed GW Monitor 7 on a Windows box running IIS and Tomcat 5.5.
If I am logged in to the Windows server and have the Monitor Console open
I am able to use the web based GW Monitor. If I log out and/or close the

Installing IdM 7.2 sp9 on Windows box

Hi,
In the process of installing IdM on Windows system.
DB on windows & SAP NW on Windows.
Anyone has same experience ? There will be only 1 windows box with SAP NW, DB , RT, UI and IdM console.
Looking for specific information ( version, patch level etc..) if can be provided, already reffered SAP Identity Management 7.2 Documentation

This should not be a problem with any pre IDM 8 version of IDM, provided you have the hardware to support it and that it is not a production instance. (I have not tested with IDM 8 yet, so I can't comment on it)
I have several VMs that I run with all components (and VDS) installed. Typically I create about a 300GB VM, 2 Processors (2 cores each) and allocate 16GB RAM. This lets me install and run:
Windows 2008 Server Standard
IDM Designtime and Run Time
SAP NetWeaver 7.2 (I've also installed 7.3 and 7.4)
Microsoft SQL Server 2012
VDS
It's been a while, but I think you could also get away with this instance hosting Active Directory, but I would not install a mailserver such as Exchange or Notes on this system as well.
I wouldn't see any issue with running Oracle or DB2 as the database, but as I have less experience with them, I can't really comment on it.
Remember you should also be running only one IDM dispatcher per physical host, regardless of the capacity of the server/VM.
