2400MP display in black and white

Can someone help me out, Just last week my project only displays in black and white. I have gone through evey setting I can find but don't know what the issue is.

Googled this and found lots of information about PAL settings in an NTSC world; none of that applicable (but here for anyone's future reference).
Dug into my box of goodies and found a new s-video cable, just to try that - instant fix (at least for now). Old cable shows no sign of damage, so who knows why this works.

Triple click the home button to switch of the greyscale feature.

PDFs are displaying in black and white in Preview

My InDesign PDF's are suddenly displaying in black and white in Apple Preview. Is anyone else having this problem?

I did solve the problem and it only occured on one document in which I changed the automatic bullet point color. I usually make my own bullet points, so this was a first for me.
Here is how I solved the problem:
When exporting the PDF, I chose the "Output" option and changed the "Color" to "Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers)". I then selected "Color Match RGB".
This worked for the problem document and it didn't happen again on other documents.

Apple TV all of sudden displaying only black and white

My previously normally working Apple TV is now displaying only in black and white. The TV with any other source is in color. I haven't touched any of the cables or connections, and to be safe, I double checked them all. I did a 'factory reset' and it's still in black and white. Should I presume hardware malfunction? Any other ideas.

Artwork when importing JPG only shows in black and white. Old artwork is OK in colour previously imported. Note these are for non-ITunes store purchased.

WARNING
You might want to set WMP options before you let it loose on your itunes content.
It doesn't matter if you never use WMP - its default settings allow webpages to open WMP in the background without you even knowing, and get info from the internet.
You need to turn this auto-update "feature" off in WMP in 4 places.
Player tab: everything unchecked so WMP won't touch your files
Library tab: everything unchecked, esp the box to retrieve info from the internet
Privacy tab: everything unchecked, esp the box to update files
Security tab: everything unchecked so web pages can't launch WMP in the background
You also need to check these 4 settings after every windows update that includes a WMP update, because it has reset them back to some of the defaults, I have noticed.

Macbook display shows black and white lines when fullscreen

If i leave my Macbook on for a while without shutting down and then I view a photo or movie (in player or safari) fullscreen the screen shows just black and white lines. Sort of like bad tv reception. It has happened a few times and a reboot has fixed it but it comes back. Any ideas anyone?

My Imac froze earlier today as I was dragging an image from safari into indesig and when it froze the weirdest pattern overlaid the screen. It looked just like the opacity pattern from photoshop with grey and white squares. I turned the computer off using the power button and unplugged everything.
Now when I try to start it these weird lines appear on my start up screen (see link)...

as you can see the apple and the wheel appears as normal...
... then it moves to a normal looking white screen (perhaps a bit greener than usual) and around 30 seconds later freezes at the blue screen.
I've tried the cmd + alt + p + r several times but it won't help.
If i press alt during start up I can see and choose my hard drive but just end up at the blue screen again.
Can I try starting it up in safe mode or something?

Ps4 display issue black and white screen

Hi,
So to cut it short I was watching TV fine before. PS4 was fine when I switched it off last night.I turn it on this morning to no colour in the picture. I've checked the TV settings, switched all hdmi related. Reset in safe mode display and default settings changed the HDMI lead even switched TV same issue.
I'm starting to think it's definitely a machine issue. I hope it's something simple because it's barely over a year old.

Didnt need to go through the Initialisation, Simply disconnected the power of ps4 and Bravia Tv and connected them back on after 10 Mins. Temporarily lost hdcp features but probably thats why it worked.

Reader displays only black-and-white (grayscale)

A customer of ours is telling me that my Illustrator-CS2-created PDF's appear to her in grayscale-only. Those same PDF's show their proper colors just dandy on everybody else's computer I've tried, so obviously it's something on her end.
Sorry, but I don't know what version of Reader she's using, and it will be useless attempting to ask her.
I can't find any setting in Preferences in my copy of Reader 9 to "view as grayscale". What could be the problem?

I think I see what you are saying now:
You have the tv connected to a tv by the yellow lead of a composite connection set. You have it working in B&W. You did get colour for a short time, but now it's gone back to B&W. You want the colour back.
If this is correct it's not going to work, you may get B&W if you connect it to the right component port, you may even get flashes of colour (which you seem to have done), but this isn't an indication that it will work, it's not going to get any better than that.

Emac 1.25 GHz 512 running OS 10.4 only has a black and white display

Are you sure that is displays only a two bit black and white image or, is it in fact set to display grayscale image?
If it is set to grayscale, simply launch the System Preferences application, press the Universal Access pane, select the Seeing tab, then uncheck the Use grayscale checkbox located roughly in the middle of the dialog box.

Resolution
In most cases, the sad iPod icon indicates a hardware issue. If you are able to force iPod into Disk Mode, then it may not be a hardware issue, and you should try to restore your iPod with the latest software.

Help! Photoshop is in RGB mode but I can only paint in black and white

It seems like Photoshop is stuck in B&W. As soon as I open my document, it shows at the top that it is in RGB/8 mode. I've tried clicking Image>mode>RGB again just to be sure but it's already set to RGB. The document is one layer so there's no way another layer is affecting it. Does anyone have an idea what may be going on? I'd appreciate any help I can get!

If it says rgb/8 then it is in rgb 8 bit mode.
If your opening a file, it could be 1 or more of the channels are missing or a single channel is selected. Take a look at the channels panel and see if the RGB channels are there and RGB is selected.
{odds are this is not it as the name of the channel would replace RGB/8 ex. selecting the B channel would display Blue/8 instead of RGB/8}
Make sure your document is not in quickmask mode (hitting the q key switches between quickmask and normal mode)

Make sure you don't have a mask selected

Take a look at your swatches and verify there are colors there and not shades of gray

And finally verify what adjustment layers are applied to the layers panel - Several adjustments are capable of changing the display to black and white while retaining the RGB/8 mode.
If none of this helps then post a screen shot of photoshop with the layers panel and the channels panel open. You can drag a panel away from the docked position to keep it open.

Mail pdf attachment is showing/printing in black and white only

PDF attachments with color in content are now only appearing and printing in black and white. Is this a setting somewhere?

I have the same problem here. A PDF file created in Illustrator and sent to my client via email. I can see the color on my iPhone and on an iPad but under Lion (10.8.3) it displays in black and white. I was going to look at prior versions of the OSX and see that you are running 10.6? and are getting the same thing. I have received other PDF files with color and no problem. I am wondering if it an Illustrator and OSX problem. More to come.

When I open CR2 RAW files from Powershot G10 they are in black and white. How do I get colour

I'm using Elements 13 on a PC running Windows 8.1. Each time I open a CR2 RAW file from a Canon Powershot G10 it displays in black and white. The image transferred to Elements is still in black and white. Why can I not see the image in colour?

Try holding down your Alt or Option key. The Cancel button in the Raw dialog will change to Reset.
Click on that Reset, and hopefully it goes back to defaults.

My screen went from color to black and white spontaneously. I checked the grayscale and invert color options under Accessibility but neither were activated. Hard reset failed to cure the problem.

Iphone 5 with IOS 8 just switched from color display to black and white. Accessibility options were not changed and hard reset failed to cure

Problem solved by resetting all preferences, which was not my preference.
