24fps output to tape doesn't work

I have a 24fps sequence (which I'm outputting to film) and want to output it to DV tape. But when I print to tape, or even playback the sequence with my deck recording it, only the first image appears, with no movement. I'm using a Sony DVCAM DSR-11 deck via firewire.
How can I print my sequence to tape?

Ah, of course, makes sense.
I suspect the frame rate has something to do with it as well. I exported the sequence as a QT movie and reimported it into a 720x480 sequence at 24fps; it still wouldn't output. I then imported it into a 720x480 sequence at the DV frame rate and it did output (although adding a lot of extra frames of course).

Aspire One - touchpad tapping doesn't work

As per the title, I can't get the touchpad tap or double-tap to work on my new AA1 AOD150. The touchpad buttons work OK however. Has anyone else experienced this on these or similar devices?

Ah ha! Thanks, I'll give that a shot when I get back to my office. Thanks too Andy, if all else fails I may have to go with hal/xorg, but I'm leaving that as a last resort.

Right clicking or tapping doesn't work, MBP

I recently installed windows 7 enterprise on my macbook pro and every works perfectly except the trackpad. I can use it to move and select items but tapping instead of clicking doesnt work nor does right clicking, I enabled it, over and over again but it still doesnt work.

Do you see this panel? (This is from W8.1, but a similar control should exist under W7).

AdMediator and pubCenter - Tapping doesn't work

Hey guys,
I'm currently developing a XAML Windows Phone 8.1 App (Actually I'm kind of on a schedule). I add pubcenter Ads using the AdMediator control. For testing purposes right now ONLY pubCenter Ads are activated. But when I click on the ad, which Shows fine,
nothing happens. This is in TestMode and with real values. With a silverligt built it had already worked.
I've seen that others had this issue with DirectX Apps. Is there a Workaround or known issue with XAML / AdMediator?

I went back and checked out the Indesign file. Apparently
whoever made the catalog grouped alot of the text boxes. After I
ungrouped these I exported to PDF and opened it up to do a check.
Everything was searchable. There was something I toyed with in
Indesign referring to subfonts. However, when I convert it to an
swf using flashpaper it loses some of the searchable text. I got an
idea and printed to FP but instead of choosing FP once the window
came up I selected PDF. It is doing the same thing in the same
spots. Everything is selectable right now in the PDF I printed from
Indesign, I can even copy and paste the text perfectly into word.
There are no settings for FP so I am lost as to what to do from
here. I am using Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro, Indesign CS2 and FP 2
Any ideas?

PO Output for Communication doesn't work for POs created from a requisition

Hi gurus,
When I create a PO using the standard PO form, I have no problem generating the xml tags in the log file when I run the PO Output for Communication (using Debug option).
When I create a requisition from Iprocurement, it automatically generates a PO. If I run the PO Output for communication for this PO, it gives me a bunch of gibberish data in the log file. like little squares and symbols.
Can anyone help me on this. We are using R12.

This Program "PO Output for Communication" does effects in other parts.
I mean that this program actually sends an email (or fax or print) along with the PO in PDF attachment or in the TEXT format.
This program does other part than the above mentioned point also.If yes then provide me the information in which other parts this program effects.I believe it is only the part you mentioned above.

I have installed the patch for output. it still doesn't work i am running windows 8.1 i have tryed the 32bit patch and the 64bit patch it still will not show up in workspace.

Begin Javascript in Captivate - Doesn't work

I'm a beginner using Javascript in Captivate.
I tried this :
I create a new bouton
In Action section of Properties Box, I selected "Execute Javascript".
In the script window, i writed : alert("I Love Captivate");
I generated my project in Html
In the HTML output, the bouton doesn't work.
Anybody knows why ?
I'm using Internet explorer.

You won't have to worry as long as your course content is being delivered from a web server.
If you were delivering the content from a CD ROM they would need to set their CD ROM drive up as a trusted location.
If you were delivering from a network LAN, they would need to set that location up too.
So for what you are trying to do, web delivery is best.

How are you outputting your 24fps projects to tape?

Hi There,
I am just looking for any input on how everyone is laying down there 24fps projects to tape? We have found a method that seems to be working - but is very tedious and not perfect...
Here is the lowdown:
1080p23.98 ProRes HQ sequence -----> outputting to Kona LHe Card -----> To Sony DVW-A500 D-Beta Deck.
At this point, we are getting the Kona card to add the pulldown because of the dramatic increase in quality over FCP - BUT because we are going from a NDF timecode to a DF format there are the obvious sync and drift issues.
So here is what we did:
- created a sequence with the exact same settings as our normal FCP output sequence (1080p23.98) and dropped in an hour of bars with TC reader.
- Output this sequence to tape.
- The use the deck to go to the all the in and out point timecodes we will need - ON THE DECK ITSELF. Then check the broadcast monitor, to see what the timecode on the bars reads and insert a marker in the timeline for our inpoint and outpoint.
This way, although our output sequence looks a little funny in FCP (say for example, one minute or bars will actually look 2 frames short) by the time it goes to tape with the pull down inserted, it ends up the right length.
Now, the problem we are having is we can only seem to get as close as being a half frame from perfect. Our 1 frame two beep will either enter a half frame early or a half frame late, depending on where it is located in FCP - up until now we have always just accepted this, but it can be frustrating because it makes inserting any changes in an episode not possible. This is the same regardless of whether the tape was pre-striped and episodes inserted OR Assembled to tape.
If anyone has any alternates that are working better for them, it would be greatly appreciated!
NOTE: Outputting a 29.97 NDF tape is NOT a valid option - because aside from commercials, this would never be accepted by a broadcaster.

No such thing as a "half frame" in video. Audio, yes, video...no. Full frames only.

Figure out what my NDF timing has to be to hit the proper DF timing when outputting. But if I had to meet Discovery/NatGeo specs of needing commercials to hit on 00 frames...then I wouldn't work in 23.98 NDF timelines...nor shooting formats.

My VGA output using Mini DisplayPort to VGA doesn't work.

Since I upgraded to Mavericks, my VGA output using Mini DisplayPort to VGA doesn't work. When I was using Mountain Lion, as soon as you plugged in the Mini adaopter into the mini display port, the screen would shrink and format to where it would project via a RGB cable to a projector. No such luck since Mavericks! Also, I had a lot of trouble with the DVD player when I tried to play a DVD and project it via a projector. It all worked seamlessly with Mountain Lion. Can anyone help me?

I think if you go to System Preferences >> Displays and Option-click on the "Scaled" radio button, it will show you all of the resolutions that you would have had before under Mountain Lion. I just upgraded to Maverick and my resolution preferences (mirrored on a TV using the Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter, using 1280x768) were completely reset (my display was no longer mirrored, and the resolution on my main iMac screen became 2560x1440). Print-to-tape from in to out doesn't work

Hi everybody, I've a 1h45 project and I want to save a copy on a dv tape. I've to cut it in two part in order to print on 2 tapes.
My problem is that when I set "in to out" it doesn't work, despite of that, when I set "entire project" it works !!!

Try it using the Edit to Tape function. Set in and out points and "edit" it to the tape using a bit of black on the head of the tape so you can set an in point on the tape.

Tap function doesn't work, recovered files in bin etc

I'm using Mac Book Pro 13' - Mac OS 10.6.8
1) Every time, I switched on my laptop, the one finger (tap to click) function doesn't work (although I have set it up).
I have to go to 'systems preferences' to set it up again.
2) Why is there 'Recovered files' in the trash bin each I switched on my laptop? How to get rid of it?
3) Sometimes when I work using Word 2011, it takes a long time to save (the little icon will be swirling and swirling) and then I had to force quit and lose unsaved info. Why does this happen and how to avoid it from happening?
Pls help me. I'm in the middle of my thesis submission and urgently need solutions to my Mac problems. Thanks!

That icon allows for the calendar month to display with the appts for that month below. I want to see only the list of appointments without the month displaying. I use to be able to get that display but since the last update tapping the magnifiying glass doesn't work.
