24p export to Blue-ray

Could someone fill me in on the settings I need in ENCORE and PREMIERE PRO in order to successfully produce a Blu-ray disk from material recorded at 24P?
There are so many confusing settings in BOTH applications. I've tried originating my PREMIERE projects as 23.whatever, 24P as well as 29.97 and compressing them at the same rate. I have successfully transferred and produced a Blu disk, but longer files compressed in PREMIERE PRO (45 minutes plus) either won't import to ENCORE or will fail during the burn process, or will crash ENCORE altogether.

I am not sure if this will help, but I am having the exact opposite problem.
I shoot and edit with a 720P camera at 30 fps. Premiere CS3 allows me to create a project at those settings, but when I try to export BluRay 720P, the only option I have is 24FPS.
So... you can try exporting your project using Adobe Encoder > BluRay > 720P settings and it will give you 24 FPS as an option.

  • Device error to export on Blu-Ray

In Adobe Elements 4, when i made export to Blu-Ray a device error apear . I repeat the export three times with diferent discs,Verbatim 2xBD-R , Memorex 4xBD-R,and the same problem apear..The computer is a Sony Vaio AR-71S. Please help me...

No need to say that you already tried to restart application.
For 'Device error', try whether device working properly with some other application like Window Movie Maker or other app comes with BluRay burner.
'Device error': try to connect device first and add media to it and than start Premiere Elements
'Device Error': Insert some bluray dics or movie to bluray burner and check whether window explorer able to read it properly.
'Device Error': update Blu-ray burner firmware.
'Device Error': In Premiere Elements, Share, select 'BluRay' not 'DVD' and click on rescan.
Please try these options and till than let me think some more way to help.

  • Exporting to blu ray and using episode problem

I have a 60 min HDV time line of which I would like to export to Blu Ray ready for the future so I can then delete the master files and clear some space of the main hard drive.
I bought a program by flip 4 mac called Episode Pro which plugs in to compressor and you can use it to export files apparently quicker and better.
Episode has a drop down box with Blu Ray settings for Video and Audio which I choose. so far so good.
When I tell it to export and then bring up the batch monitor it tells me that it take 3 or 4 days and the first try took 3 days and then a message failed came up.
After that I had to reboot because it messed up FCP too
Am I doing something wrong in episode and if I was to use normal compressor for Blu Ray exporting what settings should I use, I only see HD DVD?
    Thank you in advance,
    Regards
    Darren

  • Export to Blu Ray Folder Adobe Elements 10 MAC

I´m trying Adobe Premiere Elements 10 for "MAC",
    i haven´t Blu-Ray Burner in MAC.
When i try to Export a Proyect to Blu-Ray only have
Option to Write Directly to Blu-Ray Disc (i want to
export to Folder for after copy and go to my PC
    which have a Blu-Ray Writer.
I don´t undestand because i can export to DVD Folder
    and not to Blu-ray Folder.
I have asked to one friend that have Adobe Premiere/Encore
and he can to Export to Blu Ray Folder.
How i can to Export to Blu Ray Folder?
I need some Fix or Update?
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.
Other programs can be used to do what you want, either from inside PrE, or in a stand-alone.
Now, I do not know what might/might not be available for Mac, and some searching might be required, but users have recommended Phantom Drive, and another utility, with a similar name, that eludes me this AM. Those utilities basically tell PrE that a folder on the HDD is really a BD burner, and then PrE just goes about burning to that, thinking that it is burning to a BD burner. I am sure that something like that exists for the Mac.
    Good luck,

  • Export to Blu-ray? 25 fps must be interlaced?

    Hi,
I want to export my AE project of approx 30 min containing several HD files to a Blu Ray disc. The end goal is to project the video in HD quality using the Epson  EMP-TW2000 projector. This projector is HD compatible.
To project the video I need to connect the beamer to a computer capable of playing a heavy HD file (1), OR burn the project to a BRD (2) and play it using a BRplayer.
I prefer option 2, so my question is: which would be the preferred export preset?
    Project specs:
                        - 1920x1080 sq pix  (16:9)
                        - 25 fps
                        - my imported video files (Prem.Pro sequences) are also 25 fps and are Progressive (!)
To export to a BRD compatible format, do i not encounter a big problem: my projectfiles are 25 fps and progressive, and I believe that the only Bluray preset dispaying 1920x1080 with 25 fps requests an INTERLACED video  (I viewed the presets found on this forum, this thread)... There is also a Progr. format, BUT then you need 30 fps (29,...).
So, is there one dimension that can be changed without changing the content of the video, and if yes which one (either the interlacing or the fps).
I'm not very familiar with the whole Blu-ray thing, I hope that someone can help me out.
    Thanks,
    Jef

So, is there one dimension that can be changed without changing the content of the video, and if yes which one (either the interlacing or the fps).
You could just slow it down to 24p (23.97 fps). Everything else is unrealistic. For compatibility reasons, the specs are set in stone with no room for creative variations and on the other hand, extrapolating footage to increase frame rates never looked good, not even when going from SD PAL to NTSC.

  • Export to Blu-ray from Final Cut Pro 7 with LG BE12LU30 External Blu-ray

    Hi all
I've got an iMac with Snow Leopard and I'm editing HD video in Final Cut Pro 7. I've created AVCHD discs on DVD to play in my Blu-ray player but now I want to create Blu-rays that will play in a regular Blu-ray player.
Has anyone got any experience of using the LG BE12LU30 External Blu-ray Re-Writer with FCP 7? I've checked other posts and it seems one user has had success with an earlier LG Model.
Basically if I connect this drive and use the Final Cut Blu-ray export option in share, will I be able to burn a playable Blu-ray?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi I have one of those drives too .. I use FCP to edit export the movie using 'current settings' and then import that movie Compressor .. alternative I also have Toast with the Blu-Ray plugin .. it gives a nice menu template and works well. http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/toast/plugin/overview.html

  • Final Cut Pro X not completing export to blue ray

Running Final Cut Pro 10.1.2, OS 10.9.4, Macbook pro I7 2.3 ghz, 16gig ram...  I can export a short sequence to blue ray from Final Cut Pro X and it works.  I have a 41 minute video that when I "share" to Blue Ray it will burn about 6-7 minutes of the 41 minutes without any errors.  It completes as if it worked but when you look at the video it is only 6-7 minutes.   A few portions of it are also pixilated, that's not the case when I'm viewing it.
Any ideas on the blue ray.  I have an external Pioneer Blue Ray burner which as I said works fine on short videos in Final Cut Pro X.

    Hello Gary,
Check out this thread for ideas.
More than a few users have struck issues since 10.1.2:

  • Ripple Training Video says I can "Share" (export) to Blu-Ray (PS3)

I'm successfully exporting HD video from Final Cut Pro 7.0 to MP4 H.264 for streaming on PS3. As you know, this workflow locks up Final Cut Pro until it's done. Then I serve the video using PS3 Media Server.
I'd prefer to use Compressor to handle this in the background - and with more processor utilization - but I have had no luck getting my PS3 to see the file when it's complete.
The issue seems to be that Compressor creates mutually exclusive *.264 video as well as an .ac3 audio files which the PS3 does not recognize - nor does Quicktime, MPEG Streamclip, or anything else I've tried.
Of particular interest is the tutorial listed in the link:
    http://www.rippletraining.com/provideoapps.html
Click the last Final Cut Pro video "Output to Blu-Ray"
He mentions his client would like to watch on their PS3 and conveniently skips over how to do that.
    Am I missing a step?
    Thanks in advance.

Hi. Thank you for taking time to reply.
Watch the tutorial to see what I mean. Have you tried to create a file for Blu-Ray /PS3 using the "Share..." option in FCP and get it to work?
What the guy says in the tutorial is "My producers would like to watch this HD show before it's broadcast....since my producers want to watch their episode on their Playstation 3's, let's choose Blu-Ray." Then he goes on a slight tangent and talks about making a Blu-Ray Disc. Each option appears to basically create the h264 and AC3 files. He doesn't mention muxing the two files. That's where I got mixed up. I've figured it out.
I don't have to use Medialink. I own it but "PS3 Media Server" functionality blows it out of the water. You might like to try it out.

  • Export to Blu-ray: Windows only?

On page 464 of the CS6 PDF it states:
Send to Encore for DVD, Blu-ray Disc, or SWF file creation
You can send video from any sequence into Adobe Encore for output to DVD, Blu-ray Disc (Windows only), or a SWF file.
That middle phrase can't be true, or is it? I'm on a Mac running the Adobe Master Suite, and it never entered my head that I couldn't make a Blu-ray.

All it means is that you can't use the "Send to Encore" (dynamic link) for a bluray. Just open Encore and import an exported file. Many users prefer this to dynamic link for Bluray.
As to whether it is true (PC here), no idea.
You could also try opening Encore and use File -> Adobe Dynamic Link -> PR sequence to see if by some very odd circumstance you can dynamic link from that end. But I suspect not.
Edit: I did not find such a limitation in Encore help. The "windows only" appears only once in the pdf - unrelated to this topic.

  • How to export for Blu-ray?

What are my Media Encoder export settings to burn to Blu-ray from a 1080p 30fps project?

Here are the supported BD formats from the Encore FAQ.
Hope that is helpful, and good luck,

  • Export for Blu-ray: 1440x1080 or 1920x1080?

When choosing my 1080i H.264 settings in Media Encoder, I can select either 1440x1080 (1.33 PAR) or true 1920x1080.  Does it matter? Will any Blu-ray device play either one?
I'm coming from a DVCPRO timeline which is actually 1280x1080 (with a 1.5 pixel ratio).

My advice is to get to square pixel dimensions as soon as you can and then keep them square.  So exporting to 1920x1080 from your DVCPro sequence should work best/easiest, provided that the export doesn't introduce artifacts or empty areas of the frame.
Do a short test export to find out for sure.

  • Exporting to Blu ray settings

    Hello,
After struggling with different framerates ( this is solved ) I got a new problem now.
The original footage what I work with is 30 frames ( mediainfo a tiny great program that gives you all information about a file )
I create a new event and/or new project and select in the video properties custom settings 30 frames.
When I export the clip as a master file or vimeo or Apple device it all export as a 30 frame file or movie.
BUT when I export ( share and compressor ) as a blu ray everytime whatever I do it creates a 25 frame blu ray. It has to be 30 frames.
I have been looking in the settings but ther is not much to  choose. Only when I make and import a new project there I can fill in what framerate.
What am i doing wrong. Please tell me I am busy with this for almost 3 hours and can not find out.
The screen below are my settings.
    Thank's
    Richard

I just made a test with a 24 frames footage actually 23.976 or something like that. That worked fine.
The 30 frame footage does not work unfortunatly.
Most probably indeed it is not supported.
The 30 frames from the 5dmark2 footage according to this program media info is 30 frames not 29.976.
funny thing is the last firmware update of the camera the 30 frames is not there anymore. only 24 and 25 frames.
    Who is there to blame.
Now I am stuck with a lot of 30 frame movies wich Final cut does not support.
I hope there will be a update from Apple to support this because there are a lot of people with these footages.
    thank's
    Richard

  • Compressor - export to Blu-ray with more than 6 chapter Markers?

    Hi,
I'm interested in creating Blu-Ray discs.  I've played around taking a self contained 30 minute movie I created with FCPro 7 - it has several chapter markers put in while editing in  FCPro.
I took the SC movie and brought it into Compressor and burned directly to a DVD with the Chapter markers.  It worked perfectly.
2 questions, if anyone has done this . . . if I buy a Blu-Ray burner and firewire it into my MacBook Pro - can I burn the Blu-Ray exactly like I did the conventional DVD?  Except now it'll be High Definition?  I'm guessing in COmpressor, when I 'selected' the internal DVD burner - I guess I'll see the new external Blu-Ray one after I firewire it into the MacBook Pro?
My question is, will it then burn to the Blu-Ray exactly like it did to the internal conventional DVD burner, except be in HD now?
I just don't want to buy a Blu-Ray burner and have something nt work?  Thanks, if anyone can confirm this.
I also have Roxio Toast Titanium 11.  But keeping it all in Compressor seems easier - with limited screens.
Oh, I only get 6 chapter markers on a screen thru Compressor.  Any tricks as to how I can get more than 6?  I have like 30, and I'd rather not go thru 5 screens getting to the end!
Thanks very much if anyone has any experience in this area.
    Larry

Thank you, Shawn.  You're confirming everything I thought!
Just asking . . . perhaps you have a few thoughts here:
    - Is Compressor version 4 any "different" than 3.5 - as far as just dropping in a QT movie master to compress?
    - I guess there's no way to get more than 6 Chapter Markers in Compressor DVD?  I don't see a way, perhaps there is? Or . . . I have to learn toast!  But I can do that!  Just easier if Compressor would do it all!
    Thanks again

  • Blu Ray export is corrupted, help!

When exporting as Blu ray, FCP burns the disc allright, but when I view it with my blu ray player, all the video clip parts of thw movie are replaced with one 2second loop from the beginning of the movie. All photos show correctly though, and the sound plays properly in the background. In the timeline the movie plays correctly. FCP has rendered it 100%.

  • Export from Premiere to Encore to create a Blu-ray

    Hi!
I've imported in Encore CS4 an HDV footage that I've edited in Premiere CS4. The footage was exported using Blu-ray H264 settings. I inserted the video and audio file into the project, I burned fine the Blu-ray, but the final result was that the entire footage was interlaced, so not "cinema-like". Is there a way to deinterlace my footage in Premiere or Encore so that the final Blu-ray is in progressive format? I've tried Red Giant Frames, but it seemes that Encore doens't mind of my settings and re-encode everything as he wants.
Maybe I wasn't so clear, so sorry for my english, but I'm italian. Thanks for the answers. Bye!

Premiere Pro CS4.01 has a new sequence and export option: Maximum Render Quality. It provides good quality deinterlacing and scaling from inside of Premiere. There are ways to deinterlace the footage external to Premiere that produce higher quality results, but that's a whole different workflow with several different tools.
Make sure to select Max Render Quality in your sequence settings, and then make sure that the Adobe Media Encoder has the same setting checked. (Look in the flyout/wing menu of the codec settings section of the AME.)
Be prepared for long render times.
You don't want to deinterlace in Premiere without Maximum Render Quality selected - your exported video will lose half of its resolution and will look terrible.
