An update to Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox downloaded last night. I like the Lenovo automatic updates but the new program is stealing lots of valuable space from my taskbar. I keep the taskbar at the side of my screen and the toolbox icon and all the blank spaces it creates takes as much room as all of my other quick launches combined. I don’t need to see it but I do want it running. It is not manageable using properties so I can’t hide it.
In the time being how do I kill it? I killed almost all Lenovo SW using MSconfig and the Icon is still there.

When I add relatedproducts data tag to the product large module or productlarge.htm, the heading and images for the related products are way too large. Dude, Get yourself Firebug for starters then you can see exactly what code you need to change.
Its the css, currently all your big text is h3 in the div class "title". You could target this and change the font size or use other tags in the template

It says video is too large on iPhone to be send to iCloud

When I tried to send a video clip taken on iPhone (duration - 13 min) to iCloud a notification appeared that the video was too large and I need to crop it. I clicked OK and then an upper line got out showing all the length frame by frame with a yellow marker supposed to be used as a cropping tool. When I started manipulating the tool all things got freezed and I had no chose but to press Main Menu button to recover it. Checking it concerning whether the video was too large I then got to Storage Manager and it estimated at 4.1 GB of unused space of 5 GB allowed free iCloud storage. So what's the trouble, why it all freezed and why it said "too large" for video?

Shared streams don't use your iCloud storage so it doesn't matter how much space you have. Because the storage for shared streams is free, there are limits on what can be included (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4858). For videos, the maximum length is 5 min.

Hi,
Left click on an empty area of the Desktop to ensure it's the active window, then hold down the Ctrl key and use the scroll area of the Touchpad to adjust the size.

Bookmark arrow icons are suddenly too large and pixelated

I think it could related to the imcompatiablity between Acrobat Pro and Mac OS X 10.9. It is not a supported version either. My suggestion would be to upgrade to the latest version.

I'm not certain if it will work on other windows. I am more concerned with it working with the Firefox interface and did not try it on an alternate window.

That does make sense which is why I asked if any of the Mac gurus know where in Firefox I go to change the setting. I wasn't really keen on adding another 3rd-party app to my machine. There must be a simpler route to take. Maybe change a preference in Firefox 3.6.28 or in the Displays Preferences? My display is a Samsung LED monitor Model NO. SMBX2235. My Displays Preferences are: "1920 x 1080 @ 60 HZ (NTSC) Millions" but, having not changed them since first setting up the monitor, I'm fairly certain it's not the Displays Preferences. Is there a chance I hit a Function key plus a letter or number one day when typing? I don't recall doing so.
Thanks for all your suggestions BDA. I find it's a bit confusing when you type the word "Windows" with an uppercase "W". Windows to me is something used on an IBM compatible computer. I, personally, do not consider one computer to be better than another. They each have their own advantages and disadvantages and each type of machine can handle certain apps better than the other machine.

Qtcurve toolbar icon size too large for GTK2

I'm using qtcurve for a unifed look of gtk and qt apps, however I have a small problem which seems to affect only thunar (which I use as a file manager)
The icons in the toolbar are way too large! Here is a screenshot:
How can I reduce their size ?

Try Pressing and holding down the keyboard key Ctrl and then pressing 0 <br> the Control key is on the bottom left (& right) <br> 0 is the number Zero
Using Ctrl + 0 should reset the zoom, note it is set for each individual site.

To get your toolbar back try pressing the keyboard Alt Key (that is probably next to the spacebar) and may temporarily cause the menu toolbar to display, pressing V then T should give you the options to set the toolbars you wish to display such as the bookmarks toolbar. Note your sone may well have been making use of the firefox button, that also give similar access to features

You may be in full screen viewing mode,that also causes the menu bars to disappear,try pressing keyboard key F11 (wait a few seconds for screen to redraw) that should toggle you in and out of full screen mode.
One thing you may considering in future is setting up on your Vista Operating System separate '''accounts''' for your self and your son, that way each can to some extent make changes the way they like without unduly affecting the other.
When setup like that each user has their own firefox [[profile|profiles]] and again changes can be made separately.
There could be other reasons for your problems, but I am presuming your son just forgot to return the setting to the ones you had been using.

I need to export (to doc format) just a few select pages from various parts of a PDF file that is too large to convert in its entirety

I already paid for the service, but I can't seem to do the above.
If I upload the entire thing the process fails, saying the file is too large...

I would suggest using an outside product, such as PDF Splitter (FoxyUtils SplitPDF - Split PDF Files Online for Free), or just open up the document in Chrome, and print from your desired start to end page as a PDF. Then try uploading the file.
There is no internal workaround available in Acrobat.com yet, as after all, it is still in its beginning stages, unlike the Acrobat desktop application.
Wouldn't be a bad suggestion, I guess, though, for an improvement to make for a future version.

Help needed with "Time Machine could not complete the backup" because it is too large

I'm receiving "Time Machine could not complete the backup" because it is too large for the backup disk. I have a 500 GB Time Capsule 802.11n (2nd Gen) and a MacBook Pro running on 10.6.8. I just replaced my laptop's original hard drive with a new 1 TB and restored that with what was on my Time Capsule. Now, I have no backups on my Time Capsule prior to the new hard drive. When I click get info on my hard drive, it states only 296 GB of the 1 TB is used. However, the Time Machine error message states that the backup requires 315 GB but only 221 GB are available. It has deleted all of my old backups, so I would think my Time Capsule should have plenty of room to backup the 296 GB on my computer. Is my old backup from my prior hard drive stuck on the Time Capsule and instead of Time Machine trying to just update those files, it is preserving the old hard drive backup separately and trying to make a new backup of my new hard drive using the remaining space? If so, how do I fix this? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Error: Backup too large, but I have more than it needs

Today I started getting a funny Time Machine Error:
"This backup is too large for the backup volume. The backup requires 4.3 GB but only 4.6 GB are available."
Yes, you read that right. It requires less than is available and still fails with this error. What's going on?
More to the point, how do I fix this short of excluding items to backup? I thought TM would start dumping the old backup items to make room for the new. This obviously isn't happening.

Also, why doesn't the system just remove the oldest backup? I thought that was supposed to happen automatically.

For over two weeks now I have been frustated and not having my TIme Machine back up to my 1tb external drive. I dont understand why now its a problem. It keeps saying

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field.
