2500 HA documentation

Can someone point me to the documentation for configuring HA on a 2504 controller running 7.5? I believe the 2504 now supports N+1 and not SSO. However, I only found information for configuring SSO in the 7.5 documentation.
Thanks.

Just to add... the 2504 only supports N+1.  Here is a reference:

  • BPM: error at exactly 2500 messages after message split: no coincidence?

    Hi everybody,
we poll a message, split it in BPm and than call a WebService.
We got an error exactly after 2500 messages were processed successful.
Is there a special parameter which influences the BPM?
    Thanks a lot
    Regards Mario

    Hi,
In SXMB_ADM you can set the time out higher for the sync processing.
Go to Integration Processing in SXMB_ADM and add parameter SA_COMM CHECK_FOR_ASYNC_RESPONSE_TIMEOUT to 120 (seconds). You can also increase the number of parallel processes if you have more waiting now. SA_COMM CHECK_FOR_MAX_SYNC_CALLS from 20 to XX. All depends on your hardware but this helped me from the standard 60 seconds to go to may be 70 in some cases.
Make sure that your calling system does not have a timeout below that you set in XI otherwise yours will go on and finish and your partner may end up sending it twice
when you go for BPM the whole workflow
has to come into action so for example
when your mapping last < 1 sec without bpm
if you do it in a BPM the transformation step
can last 2 seconds + one second mapping...
    (that's just an example)
so the workflow gives you many design possibilities
(brigde, error handling) but it can
slow down the process and if you have
    thousands of messages the preformance
can be much worse than having the same without BPM

  • Labview error 2500

    Hello all,
I am trying to read a channel from a TDM file and send the data continuously over an analog port. This seems to function when I have only one analog output but when i try to use two channels, it shows an error 2500. This error is not part of the documentation and the exact message at my end is:
    Invoke Node in _saveFloat64Channel.vi-
I am using Labview 8.0 with DAQ 8.3.1. The hardware in question is the NI USB 6251.
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Shailesh.

    Things you can improve,
    1.  Start the AI task probably just before you start the AO task, else if the read from file and genration takes time, you may get buffer overflow error.
    2. Change the AO write to N Channel>>Multiple Samples>> 2D Double/ 1D Waveform depending on whether u are using Double or waveform data type.
    3.  The error that you mentioned in the first post is most likely to come from the TDM write inside the while loop. There may be other errors, but you may be getting only the first one. So it will be a good idea to put a probe on all the three error wires inside the while loop and se if you are getting in in them or not.
    4. Inside the while loop  after AI Read, the DBL conversion is not required. You can remove it.
    5. I am not very sure what you are trying to do in the file read part? You can use array of DBL only if the number of elements that you read from the file and the number of elements from the lookup table are same. Else it is better to use waveform.
Can you try these things and let me know?

  • Anybody has thermonics T-2500's instrument driver?

Has anybody developed the instrument driver (GPIB)
    for Thermonics T-2500?

    Hi,
Unfortunately, I was unable to locate a driver for your instrument at either thermonics website or at www.ni.com/idnet. I would like you to submit a request for this driver at: http://zone.ni.com/idnet97.nsf/instrumentdriverrequest/ and with the instrument manufacturer. We develop drivers based on demand and popularity so the more requests we have for it, the greater the possibility that we will develop one.
If you would like to try developing your own instrument driver (or modify the existing one), we have documentation, model instrument drivers, and driver templates to help at :
    http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/development.htm
We also have a syndicate of third party vendors that specialize in National Instruments' products and services. Some of the
vendors specialize in driver development. I would suggest contacting one of the Alliance members at:
    http://www.ni.com/alliance
An instrument driver is a collection of functions that implement the commands necessary to perform the instruments operations. In short, someone read the instrument user manual and implemented some of the functionality in a program for the end user. Instrument drivers are not necessary to use your instrument. They are merely time savers to help you develop your project so you do not need to study the manual before writing a program.
There are example VI's in LV on Instrument Connectivity. If you go to the Help menu >> Examples.. >> I/O, you will see a couple and Examples.. >> Fundamentals for File and String manipulation. I would suggest tweaking them to suit your application. Also the specific command that your instrument responds to can be found from it's manual.
Some useful resources for your application are
    ni.com > NI Developer Zone >
    Development Library > Instrument Connectivity

    Hope this helps!

  • 2500 WLC, attach AP?

    Hi,
i was checking the documentation on the 2500 WLAN controller... it states "The Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports on the Cisco 2500 Series Wireless Controller will not support directly attached APs." ... if that is true, what are those PoE ports good for?????
i have a scenario with just two APs (for now) the 2500 would be perfect IF i could plug the APs directly into the WLC... any plans to support that? Or is just an error in the documentation?
    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
We don't use any 2500 series WLC's so I can't test this for you,
but this doc does indicate a different scenario than the one you saw
    Cisco 2500 Series Controller
The Cisco 2500 Series Wireless Controller works in conjunction with Cisco lightweight access points and the Cisco Wireless Control System (WCS) to provide system-wide wireless LAN functions. As a component of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network (CUWN), the Cisco 2500 Series controller provides real-time communication between a wireless access points and other devices to deliver centralized security policies, guest access, wireless intrusion prevention system (wIPS), context-aware (location), RF management, quality of services for mobility services such as voice and video, and OEAP support for the teleworker solution.
Cisco 2500 Series Wireless Controllers support up to 50 lightweight access points in increments of 5 and 25 access points with a minimum of 5 access points. The Cisco 2504 Wireless Controller comes with four 4 Giga bit Ethernet ports, two of which can provide power directly to Cisco lightweight access points.

  • How to tell 2500 series routers apart?

Can anyone tell me how the 2500 routers (2501, 2502 etc etc) are different?
    JG.

Its very easy. Consider 250X where X = even or odd Just remember a few key points.
    a. Most odd number ending routers have ethernet (10baseT) interfaces, while even numbers have token ring interfaces. The wan interfaces available on each series keeps changing as X increases.
    2501 - 1 eth, 2 serial
    2502 - 1 TR, 2 serial
    2503 - 1 eth, 2 serial, 1 bri
    2504 - 1 TR, 2 serial, 1 bri
    b. 2505, 2507, 2516 are special routers with built in ethernet hubs.
    2505 - 2 synchronous serial, 8 hub
    2507 - 2 synchronous serial, 16 hub
    2516 - 2 synchronous serial, 14 hub, 1 BRI
    c. 2509-2512 are access servers, which means they have async interfaces. 2509, 2510 have 8 async ports, while 2511-12 have 16 async ports. 2509 and 2511 have ethernet interfaces, while 2510 and 2512 have token ring interface.
    d. 2513, 2514, 2515 are routers with more than 1 ethernet or token ring interface or a combination of both.
    2513 - 1TR, 1Eth, 2 serial
    2514 - 2 ETH, 2 serial
    2515 - 2 TR , 2 serial
    e. The next few routers are not so commonly used, but good for old Token ring networks.
2517 has 12 port token ring hub with an isdn port and 2 serial ports
2519 has 24 port toekn ring hub with an isdn port and 2 serial ports
    f. 2518 combines the functionality of Ethernet hub with ISDN bri and Synchronous serial ports, all in one router.
    g. 2520, 2521, 2522, 2523 have higher port densities for WAN.
    2520 - 1 Eth, 1 BRI, 2 sync serial, 2 async serial
    2521 - 1 TR, 1 BRI, 2 sync serial, 2 async serial
    2522 - 1 Eth, 1 BRI, 2 sync serial, 8 async serial
    2523 - 1 TR, 1 BRI, 2 sync serial, 8 async serial
    h. 2524 and 2525 are the only modular series of the whole lot. You can add modular cards (older wics, not compatible with any other router series)
    The following cards are supported
    i. 2-wire switched 56-kbps data service unit/channel service unit (DSU/CSU)
    ii. 4-wire 56/64-kbps DSU/CSU
    iii. Fractional T1/T1 DSU/CSU
    iv. Five-in-one synchronous serial

I think I left out 2506, but I cant find any
    documentation on it.

  • Issue with creation of custom layouts using SAP Help Documentation

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is to create a home custom page layout (using web dynpro) in Composite Environment. The default options available in CE are not useful for me. I set out to make a custom layout using the following this SAP Help Documentation: [          Creating a Web Dynpro Page Layout (SAP Library - Using the Portal as a Frontend)|https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-102846]

  • Mobile iPhone Application for SAP B1 Documentation

SAP releases the following statement on their landing page for their customers about using iPhone App in version 8.8.  Direct copy and paste:
I am already using SAP Business One. Are there any requirements to be able to use this app?
You need to be running SAP Business One version 8.8 with a professional user license. Before you start using the app, make sure your SAP partner configures the mobility settings in SAP Business One.
Where is the documentation that is the checklist for installing and getting the mobile app up and running?  You know, the usual documentation from step A to Z - go to Add-ons and do this, go to User and do this, etc.   All I can find are videos/documents that are marketing oriented.  I have the user guide "Setting Up Mobile Scenario in 8.8", but it is woefully lacking in several steps (ie, it says some fields are mandatory, but SAP does not even mention what "code" column is supposed to mean).
Anyone else have any luck digging out the pertinent information from SAP sites which SAP should have prominently highlighted to its partners before rolling this out?  Where can I find it?
This all seems to be a rather disconnected roll-out.
    Thanks in Advance - Zal

Here is part of the answer - Go here:  https://websmp203.sap-ag.de/sbo-swcenter
Until it is changed, select "Updates" (not the other areas stated in some documentation, videos, and threads) and select "SAP Business 8.8", then "B1 8.8 Integration Component", and then it can be downloaded.
I will add more info as the process goes along, if there is anything more...

  • Where do I read in the documentation the list of the system properties?

Yep. Sounds stupid. But it's true. I read in all these forums where and how to set the truststore and so on but it would be beautiful to understand it my own.
    1. First I read setting the -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore in the VM arguments.
    2. Then I find out the the -D is just for setting something like a static property.
    3. Next I want to read about the system properties. Who, what and where the Java tries to get this system property. I do not find it.
What I find is great help in these forums and solving this kind of problems seems easy... I googled and the only place I found info about this is in a boulder.ibm.com site:
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/index.jsp?topic=/rzaha/sysprop2.htm
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/index.jsp?topic=/rzaha/rzahajssesysprops.htm
I also found some info on a sun tutorial but not an official documentation. Do you know where to find it? It seems that my learning is always about finding the right place to find information and not guessing and trying.
    Thanks!!

Thanks for your soon reply. Yeah, I found that but I really was expecting a more serious documentation.
I have to admit that it is documented. Yes. But I didn't expect to find that in middle of a guide. But more in a reference or in a specification document. It's inside the "Customization" and in a table, yes... But it's a guide!!
I like Java but something to worry about is the "too many - too less" documentation. Documentation is not clear enough and all the hundreds of options you have can make the programming with Java no good. It would sound like a good thing have a lot of choices and hundreds of places to look info for but I am a bit disappointed with that. It's not clear enough to find the right info.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your help!! I will have to live with that.

  • Customizing header and footer in the printed documentation

    Hi,
I'm using a trial version of RoboHelp 2007 and Word 2003.
I have two question about customizing the header and footer
    of the printed documentation.
In the printed documentation the footer repeat at the bottom
of each page and contain page numbers, which appear left-justified
on even-numbered pages and right-justified on odd-numbered pages.
How can I customize the footer, that pages numbers appear
    always right-justified?
In the printed documentation the header repeat at the top of
each page and are blank on the first page of sections. The name of
the manual appears on even-numbered pages, left-justified. The name
of the root chapter appears on odd-numbered pages, right-justified.
How can I customize the header, that
on every page the name of the root chapter and the name oft
the manual appears? Furhermore I want to include a picture in the
header. How can I realise this?

You can't from RH. See the article on my site.
Images in the header are tricky. If you use the setting that
I think enables that, you will also get the images in the TOC. Try
putting a two cell table and putting the heading in one and the
    image in another.
