2504 GUI not showing clients connecting at 5Ghz

Hi all
Recently upgraded our infrastructure to v8.0.100.0, on the 'new' landing page, the GUI is showing no clients connecting on 5Ghz, only on 2.4Ghz.
If I check from the CLI, there are clients connected on 5Ghz.
Is anybody else seeing this?
Is it just a 'bug' (does anyone know)?
Please see attached.
Cheers

Hi,
I test your scenario and showing as it should be.

    Hi Jason
I was getting the same behavior after Apple support had me delete some plist files to get Airplay going. I was also getting the following error:
the error occurred while processing a command of type 'writesettings' in the plug-in 'server vpn'
I went into ~/Library/Preferences/ and /Library/Preferences/ and deleted every plist contating the word server. I had to re-set up my server (meaning walk through some intial steps) but all of my settings were still there after that and everything started working again.
Just a thought, obviously try at your own risk but it worked for me.

Hi Roy, this has worked for a few...
Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712
    10.7 & 10.8…
System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
    10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.

  • MSE 8.0.110 not showing clients in NCS 2.2

    Hi all,
I have established a LAB in my office which includes WLC 5508 (8.0.110), NCS VM 2.2 and MSE VM 8.0.110.
Every device/appliance is connected and associated with each other. However, I cant see clients on NCS floor maps. I am also trying to do Wireless Calibration but I am assuming if I can't even see clients on the map, I am pretty much not going to get the Calibration done as well. I can see clients connected on my WLC and NCS but unable to track their location.
Since I am using evaluation copy of MSE, I have installed all the services on MSE.
In the show auth-list at the controller, I can see MSE MAC Addresses and Key Hash, which I think is all thats required on the controller.
Any ideas where I can further dig up?
The client (my laptop) supports CCX v5. I can verify the same thing on WLC and NCS. However, in NCS, when I look up the MAC Address of my laptop, under CCX Capability Information I see Client Status "Failure".
    Thanks in advance,
    Jay

Prime Infrastructure 2.2. needs to reach WLC via SNMP. Is this configured?
    On Prime go to:
Services -> Mobility Services -> Synchronize services. Select Your maps, click on "Change MSE assigment" and assign Your MSE.
Click on controllers tab on the right, select Your WLC, click on "Change MSE assigment", Select Your MSE and click "synchronize".
Go here: Services > Mobility Services Engines > mse> System > Status > NMSP Connection Status > NMSP Connection Status Details . Please check, is NMSP Status "Active" ?

  • My apple tv is not showing or connecting to my 8 month old Imac

I can not get my apple tv to connect to my Imac. was working fine last time I used it a week ago. Now it's not showing on my computer and will not connect. Went through entire troubleshooting guide, everything is proper, but still does not work...

    Welcome to the Apple community.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

  • MSE Not Showing Clients After Upgrade to 7.6.100.0

I've upgraded our 5508 WLC's to ver 7.6.100.0.  I've also upgraded our NCS to 2.0, and our MSE to 7.6.100.0.  I now can no longer see clients on the MSE map for our sites.  I've added the WLC to the MSE syncronization.  When I select "show clients" it says 0 of 0 found.  I know I have clients connected, since I can see them in the WLC.  Is this a licensing issue?  Thanks for your help!

Make sure that NMSP is up.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9742/products_tech_note09186a0080bb497f.shtml#add-va-ncs
On WLC console, use the show auth-list command.
The following example shows from WLC console that there is no location server available:
In order to manually add the MSE and establish a NMSP connection to WLC, complete these steps:
On the MSE console, run the cmdshell command, and then the show server-auth-info command.
This example shows the MAC address and the keyhash to be used for adding to the WLC.
Run the config auth-list add ssc command, and then run the show auth-list.
This example shows that the MSE was added to the WLC (manually).
On the NCS, confirm that the NMSP connection shows Active.

  • Hub Manager does not show Wireless connection

My 'Hub Manager' shows my Ethernet connected PC; my hub phone and the wireless connected printer.
My daughter has a new laptop which has wireless connection to my Hub. According to her laptop it is connected to my Hub and she has access to the internet.
However, my Hub Manager does not show her as connected to the Hub. The result of this means that she cannot connect to the wireless printer.
We have disconnected and re connected to no avail.
    Any thoughts??? All help appreciated.

  • What is (en1) adapter and why am I not showing airport connection?

Ok, so I'm in the network preference pane looking at three possibilities.
    1) Ethernet adapter (en1) which shows an IP and tells me I'm connected to the internet.
    2) Airport which is connected to my home network but does not have an IP and "cannot connect to the Internet"
    3) VPN (L2TP) which is configured but not connected.
So, back to my original question. As I am obviously connected to the Linksys wireless router through the airport card, what is this en1 and why does it tell me I'm connected through it instead of the airport?

I was (am) definitely connected. Just was a little confused as to why the Airport pane didn't show connectivity. I ended up going to sysprefs, choosing "Show: Network Port Configurations", and dragging the Airport to the top of the list. (It did show BOTH Airport and en0 network adapter as choices). After dragging Airport to the top of the list, the Airport TCP/IP pane showed the connectivity I expected to see in the first place. Really not an issue as I was always connected anyways, just not what I was used to seeing.

  • HT4235 my iphone does not show as connected on itunes menu

suddenly my iphone will not show as a connected device in itunes even though my laptop recognzes that it is attached to my usb port
I have synced this phone before but now it is not recognized by itunes.

    Hello wtcooper217,
It sounds like your iPhone is not seen in iTunes but your computer does recognize it. I recommend the troubleshootings steps from the article named:

Swing related questions should be posted in the Swing forum.
Read the BoderLayout API documentation. If you don't specify a constraint then by default the component is added to the "CENTER". However only a single component can be displayed in any given area of the BorderLayout. So the second add(...) method replaces the first component added.
Read the Swing tutorial on [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/layout/visual.html]How to Use Layout Managers for more information.

  • I just synced my 2 ipods but now my ipad does not show as connected when I try to sync it.  Had no problem syncing before.  Did troubleshooting but have not uninstalled itunes. Help!

just synced my 2 ipods with no problem now trying to sync my ipad and itouch and they do not show on the screen as usual .  Help!

You give very few details. If I stated that  .......
"I started my Nissan today and it started fine - but my Chevrolet will not start today - but it started yesterday. Help!" - you would probably have no idea where to begin with doling out advice or troubleshooting steps. What troubleshooting did you do? Obviously not all of it - if you did not uninstall and reinstall iTunes.
Quit iTunes, reboot your PC and then try again.
If that does not work, you could post back with the OS that your actually running on your computer - I am assuming that you are a Windows user and I could be wrong, but without some help from you .... Well we are just beating our heads against the wall.

  • E3000 as an access point with an E3200 as the primary router not showing all connected devices

I recently rewired my home with cat 6. All network and telephone comes in to the basement. While most devices in the home were converted to LAN connections a few remain WiFi connected.  The connections are as follows:
    Cable modem -> E3200 ->High Speed Switch <--> E3000.
I purchased the E3200 to be the primary router. I'm using both 5.0 and 2.4 ghz connections. I set up my (existing) E3000 as an access point (AP) according to these instructions. I used the LAN-LAN setup so that all devices would be on the same network. Both E3200 and E3000 are at the latest firmware level. Both use the  same SSIDs, one each for 5ghz connection and a second for 2.4 ghz connection. Almost everything is working but there are a few nagging issues.
    1) A smart  phone connected wirelessly to the AP shows as a LAN connection when viewing the E3200 DHCP client list
    2) I set up a DHCP reservation for my network attached printer on the E3200.  When it connects via the AP it is not assigned the predefined IP address
    3) I can see the network attached printer on the E3000 MAC filter list but I can't see it when viewing DHCP clients or MAC wireless clients from the E3200 even though the printer is attached and working correctly.
I can understand the reasons for issue 1 but it seems that a client attached to a wireless AP should also show as wireless to the main router.

Well, let me know what IP addressess you have assigned to the network devices? Second if you remove the switch from the network (between E3200 and E3000) does the issue still persist... Once powercycle the whole network and then check whether it happens or not.

  • Airplay Icon not Showing when connected to my car's bluetooth stereo

I have an UVO system in my Kia. It has been working great with the Iphone Airplay since October. I recently updated my phone and now, just like many others, no airplay showing up on my music apps.
I basically use Spotify and Pandora all the time with zero issues. Now when my phone is connected to my car through bluetooth, my phone works perfectly and can talk through the speakers for calls but the music apps do not display the icon to switch between dock connector or bluetooth audio. This has led me to believe it's not a problem with my UVO system in my car but rather an apple related issue. Why would they dissapear? I have tried shutting off, rebooting, and all that jazz on both my Iphone 4 and Ipad2. Also, even when connected through the USB port, the UVO still doesnt recognize the audio.
    Any advice would be awesome!

I DON'T text and drive. I just want be able to hear, for example, alerts that I have put on my calendar. I can/do pull over to look at texts--but not when I don't know that I have a message. This was never an issue until a couple of weeks ago.

  • Not showing ethernet connection

My first wireless router was not a linksys. I couldn't get it to light up any of the four channels. I thought it to be defective so I got a linksys WRT54G ver 6. It connected OK after the first try and worked for about 2 weeks and then stopped. I tried unplugging all components and turning back on, tried to reinstall the software, now this system won't show the ethernet light on any of the four ports I've tried plugging it into. Is this a problem with firewalls or could it be my luck to have a defective unit?

That would be some luck if they were both defective.  Did you try the Easy Link Advisor?  Maybe your cable from your machine to your router is bad?  I'm not  too sure on this one.  Can you access the router?
