2504 Port config

Dear all,
Today I see a strange behavior of the 2504. Does the 2504 working similar to the 5508? I configured on the 2504 a two new interfaces additional to the management which is also tagged I used only port-1 on the wlc and was not able to use the new interfaces. Ping and access with the associated wlans wasn't working. So do I need to use a physical port for every new vlan? I configured it in the same way I did on the 5508 and here it works perfect.
Best regards,
Sebastian

  • LMS 4.2.5 Netconfig changing port config based on port settings

I am trying to use netconfig to change the port config on my switches. I want to use an adhoc rule to determine if the port already is configured for 802.1x (authentication port-control auto) authentication and then modify those ports to "authentication open".
    IS that possible?
    Thank you for your reaction?
    Regards,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
To check which device have this config , use Baseline Template
check the below link for example and case study.
    Hope it will help

  • DIO Port Config & DIO Port Write Block Diagram Errors (Call Library Function Node:library not found or failed to load)

Hi Guys, need help on this.
I have this LabVIEW program that used to work on the old computer.
The old computer crashes most of the time, so I upgraded the computer
and used its Hard Drive as slave to the new computer.
I have no idea where are its installers since the guy that made the program
is not in my department anymore.
I downloaded all the drivers needed from NI: NIDAQ9.0, NIVISA,NI488.2,
and drivers of some instruments needed in the setup. I'm using LabVIEW8.2.
Everything's fine until I open the LabVIEW program for our testing.
    Here goes the error:
       DIO Port Config
       DIO Port Write
    Block Diagram Errors
Call Library Function Node: library not found or failed to load
    Attachments:
    ErrorList.JPG ‏200 KB

Honestly, I'm a newbie on Labview. I just want this old program to run on the new computer.
The guys that installed the drivers on the old computer are no longer here in my department.
And I have no idea where the drivers are. So I just downloaded the drivers needed for my hardware and instruments.
    Here's my hardware: (cards: PCI-DIO-96, PCI-GPIB), (instruments: SCB100,E4407B, HP83623, HP3458, HP8657)
    OS: Windows XP Pro
By the way, I have unzipped the TraditionalDAQ drivers. First I tried the 7.4.1, but installation error appeared.
I thought maybe the installer is corrupted, so I downloaded the 7.4.4 and unzipped it.
But, still same installation error appears. I don't understand, both TraditionalDAQ drivers have same installation error.
Now I have tried the DAQmx8.7.2 driver, bu still the DIO Port Config and DIO Port Write have errors.

  • Don't know how to specify a digital input or output with Port Config

I am trying to modify an existing VI that I did not write. I have a 6533 DAQ board connected to a relay box. I would like to use one of the lines on port 0 of the DAQ as an input (it will be a switch used to trigger the sequence of outputs). the rest of the lines I would like to be outputs. I don't know how to specify which line is an input and which is an output. I am using LabVIEW 5.1 and the current VI just contains a sequence of delays and pulse width for each channel. It uses Port Config to specify the port and line directions. Only it's set so that all of the lines are outputs. Does anyone know an easy way of using one input to control several outputs from the same port?

Thanks.. that is what I thought but I didn't see any examples with the line direction map set up like that. SO.. now I'm stuck on how to use that input to trigger the outputs on the same port. I need to use the input as a switch to activate a sequence using the outputs. So first.. how to I single out just the input line to be used for the trigger. Normally when I need to do something like this I'm referring to channels and not Port lines. Also, how do I language the switch? Is the input going to be normally binary? 0 for off and 1 for on? So should I use a boolean statement?
Thanks again for the help.. my boss doesn't know much about the programming either so I have to figure it out.

  • XML script for port config

Is there any way to create an XML template with a scope "port" that would allow you to configure switches with access and trunk ports .  Currently I have to deploy once for the access port configs and then deploy again with one for trunk / uplink. I thought about adding my trunk ports to my base config (scope "device"), but it seems that the cli lines containing "interface" are removed or not processed unless I use the xml template with scope "port".
    Thank you.

    Nope.

  • Port Config files

Can someone tell me the following about port config XML files :
    1. How to generate these files.
    2. Can we create port config files from an existing repository ports? If yes how?
    3. Can we use an existing port config xml file to create ports in a new repository? if yes how?
    Harsha.

    Hi,
they will be created when you save the port created in mdm console I believe
and that is the place where you should create ports and not from
    the other way round

  • Ethernetchannel config and ports config

    Hello,
When I create a interface port channel the configs for that port channel will those configs overide the ports configs that are in that port channel or will just add to those ports configs?

    Hello
"Port-channel config will never overide to its member."
Humm - not sure i agree maybe I am mis-undertstanding the question or Latchum's reply
Lets say we create a L2 etherchannel
    ============================
    1) default physical interfaces (if applicable)
    2) configure port-channel in physical interfaces (port-channel will be created automatically
3)create trunking encapsulation or access port mode directly in port-channel interface ( this will propergate to the physical interfaces
4)enable physical interfaces "no shut" ( if applicable)
So when the the port-channel is automatically created via the physical interfaces, the configuration you apply on the port-channel will propergate to those physical interfaces within the port-channel

  • Port config error

    Hello,
Our laptop is communicating with a Eurotherm 818 temperature control unit through the serial port. The program (Labview 7.1) uses VI's downloaded from the web, i.e. EI BYSINCH Read.vi and EI BYSINCH Write.vi, and obtains temperature and power measurements from the Eurotherm in real time. MAX says serial port is working properly. OS = Windows XP
PROBLEM: After around 2.5 hours (fairly consistently), the "Port 0 Config Error" occurs, and the program cannot be continued. I have determined that the error originates in the "Open Serial Driver.vi" which is a subvi in "Serial Port Init.vi", which in turn is a subvi in "Lab Serial Port Init.vi". (The first two vi's are Labview library files).
ATTEMPTS TO FIX: I have viewed a thread with a similar problem http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=76152&query.id=21947 for advice. I found the error handler and have tried creating loops to retry opening the driver, as well as closing it and then trying to open it again - with no success, i.e. Internal Error occurs. I have also been experimenting with the "force re-open" control in the "Open Serial Driver.vi", with no success as of yet.
Any ideas on solving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks very much,
    Ian

    Ian,
Sounds like your program is not structured the way I like to interface the serial port.  There should be one call to serial init.  After the serial port is open save the reference and use it to read and write the serial port.  When the program is complete call serial close once.  This will take care of the issue.  I have serial devices that I talk to for months at a time.  Yes, months using Windows XP.

  • Cloudscape port config on j2ee 1.4beta

i am trying to configure the cloudscape port. i've seen lots of docs about how to do this with 1.3 but i can't quite figure it out for 1.4beta.
    here's what i've done:
    1: change bin/launcher.xml. it now has a
    <arg line="-port 1098"/>
    in cloudscape-start target
    2: <value="jdbc:rmi://localhost:1098/jdbc:cloudscape:"/>
    in cloudscape-stop target
    3: ..key="ij.protocol" value="jdbc:rmi://localhost:1098/jdbc:cloudscape"
    ...key="ij.database"
    value="jdbc:rmi://localhost:1098/jdbc:cloudscape:CloudscapeDB;create=true"
    in cloudscape-isql target.
4: change config/server-config.xml so all of its cloudscape url's point to jdbc:cloudscape:rmi://localhost:1098/CloudscapeDB
it seems to startup cloudscape ok on 1098, but when running "setup deploy", the appserver can't connect to cloudscape. i get the suspicion that it's still looking on the default port=1099 because when i run cloudscape -isql it says its using the default url, not the one i had specified in the launcher.xml file.
how can i be positive that cloudscape is running on 1098?
(i just use netstat -noa to check for ports in use, but this doesn't guarantee that it is succesfully installed).
where does the server get the db url, if not from the above metioned 2 files? i'm stuck...
    thanks,
    derek.

Could someone suggest a solution for this problem. I am trying to do the same thing and am getting stuck. What I am trying to do is this :
    1) Run Cloudscape on a different port (2001) instead of 1099.
    2) Change the J2EE server configuration by modifying resource.properties file so that the DB source is now rmi://localhost:2001/CloudscapeDB
    3) The J2EE server starts up fine.
    4) However when I try to deploy the PetStore application, there is an exception saying that connection refused.
So if someone has been able to successfully deploy the petstore application on clouldscape running at a different port than 1099 (default), could you send some suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Bon Bon

  • 2504 basic config help.

    Hi,
I'm new to Cisco wireless controllers. Have great expirence with both Ruckus and HP WLC's but I like the Cisco hardware much better so I'm about to swap to this.
    We have a 2504 controller and a number of 2602 AP's.
I have a unmanaged edge network meaning no vlans segmenting is possible at the port of the AP.
    I need 2 SSID's:
    WLAN1
    WLAN2
WLAN1 should be bridged onto/out of the AP port.
WLAN2 should be tunneled/transported to the controller and out on either a specific port or vlan (The DMZ vlan)
I can't seem to figure out how to do this. I have looked at the Guest anchor feature but that doesn't quite do what I need since I only have this one controller.
Hope someone can explain (not nessesarily in detail) how to do this.
    Thanks in advance.

First of all. Thanks for the quick reply's. Flexconnect seems like just the thing I need.
Just to clerify: My DMZ vlan 10 has subnet 10.10.1.0/24. Theres a DHCP server in this DMZ serving wired clients.
So when I tunnel WLAN2 to the controller and out vlan 10 will the WLAN2 clients be bridged onto 10.10.1.0/24 subnet or will I need to have a different subnet for the wireless clients (and thereby have the 2504 route between)? I prefer a bridge if possible to keep it simple.
Additional: Will DHCP traverse this bridge or will I need to setup some kind of DHCP relay on the controller?
    Thanks in advance.

  • SOAP Action in Logical port config

    Hi,
I created a client proxy for an external web service, and developed a client application to use this proxy. I am trying to set up a logical port for it. However, in transaction LPCONFIG, it seems that the field SOAP Action is not persistent anywhere since once I leave the transaction screen and reopen it, the parameter disappears. This caused me an error when I use the proxy saying a valid action parameter needs to be set.
Anyone has any idea about this? Thanks a lot for your help!
    Regards,
    Hart

    Hi Thomas,
Thanks a lot for your help! Actually I resolved the issue I had before and now it works well. The problem I had was I created the client proxy based on a local wsdl file, and the proxy generation somehow did not add the soap actions as operations so in LPCONFIG I could not see any operations. The SOAP Action field is open for input, but it cannot be saved.
I regenerated the proxy using wsdl directly from a URL, and now I can see all my actions/operations in LPCONFIG and of course the action field can now be saved (associated to the selected operations).
    Regards,
    Hart

  • Ciscoworks 3.2 RME Compliance Management w/ 802.1x Port Configs

I am currently trying to use LMS 3.2 Compliance management to verify and alter our access port configurations for 802.1x. Below is our current configuration:
    switchport access vlan XX
    switchport mode access
    authentication control-direction in
authentication event fail retry 0 action authorize vlan XXX
authentication event no-response action authorize vlan XXX
    authentication port-control auto
    authentication periodic
    dot1x pae authenticator
    dot1x timeout quiet-period 10
    dot1x timeout tx-period 10
    dot1x timeout supp-timeout 10
    dot1x max-req 1
    dot1x max-reauth-req 1
    storm-control broadcast level 75.00
    spanning-tree portfast
    spanning-tree bpduguard enable
I require the configurations to be changed to:
    switchport access vlan XX
    switchport mode access
authentication event fail action authorize vlan XXX
authentication event no-response action authorize vlan XXX
    authentication port-control auto
    authentication periodic
    dot1x pae authenticator
    dot1x timeout tx-period 8
    storm-control broadcast level 10.00
    storm-control multicast level 10.00
    spanning-tree portfast spanning-tree bpduguard enable
Addtionally, I require LMS to verify that the port is indeed an access port with 802.1x already applied to it before adjusting the configurations. I have tried pushing this compliance check out with a prerequisite of having "switchport mode access" applied to it, and then having the next command set state:
    Submode: interface [#Ethernet*/*/*#]
    - dot1x max-req 1
    - dot1x max-reauth-req 1
    + no dot1x max-req 1
    + no dot1x max-reauth-req 1
This was a simple test on a single device to see if I could remove the limits on authentication and requests entered. The job states successful and there are no devices that are non-compliant, however no changes to the device configurations have been made. I seek assistance in command syntax or if there is another way to push this out, as I have about 1k network devices to go through and make these changes.

The following tempalte should do what you want:
Name: Global     SubMode: No      isPrerequisite: No
Ordered : No     Prerequisite-Commandset : none     Parent: none
Name: Switchport     SubMode: Yes      isPrerequisite: Yes
Ordered : No     Prerequisite-Commandset : none     Parent: none
      interface   [#FastEthernet.*#]
    +[#switchport mode access#]
Name: 802fix     SubMode: No      isPrerequisite: No
Ordered : No     Prerequisite-Commandset : Switchport     Parent: Switchport
    -dot1x max-req 1
    -dot1x max-reauth-req 1
Note that I have changed to [#FastEthernet.*#] to be applied on
    FastEthernet interfaces.

  • CATALYST 2820, console port config for modem

    Hi,
I’m a 2nd semester CCNA student, and I purchased a old CATALYST 2820 switch for training purposes. I do not know the password and the console port has been configured for a modem. I thought that it would be easy to reset the password—but cannot find any way to do it with the 2820, and the console port configured for a modem.
Does anyone know what the default factory password is? If the password has been changed (from the factory default), how can I reset the system?
    Thanks!

    I appreciate your help!
I did look at that link several times—my 2820 has a mfg. date of Sept 97. I held in the Mode button, but the LED above port 1x does not come on (held it in for over a minute). I never see any info. using the console port.
I did try attaching a modem to the console port—it works—I get a login prompt. I don’t know if it is the factory default password. I know that the rollover cable is working—tried a 827-4v.
    Am I doing something wrong???
    Thanks, David

  • Biztalk Receive Port config (Routing Strings)

    Dear Gurus:
I have set up BAPIs and RFCs and they are working correctly through the Send Port that is configured correctly for BTS 2004...
Moving onto Inbound IDOCS -0 the Connection settings in the BTS Receive Port:
We are using a routing string to connect (ICC).  So in the correctly configured Send Port for the 'system' setting we have:
    /H/LocalServer/H/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/S/3297/H/cpce601  (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx = IP address)
The cpce601 is the application server and is appended to the regular routing string...  It took Microsoft 2 days to help us get that set up originally (appending the application server to the routing string for a Send Port)...
Now on the Receive Port we have:
SAP Gateway Host and SAP Gateway Service as the required parameters:
Locally we have a server 'LocalServer' which then routes to the IP address then goes to the Application Server...
I can't seem to find a combination that works with our routing string and or application server in the receive port.  I wish I could send a couple screen prints and this might make more sense (see link below for example)...
The root question is for SAP Gateway host I should put the routing string or some part of it.  I thought the 'SAP Gateway Host' would be cpce601 (but not sure).  I would think the SAP Gateway Service would have to be some or all of the Routing String.
Any help or pointing me in the right direction would be most appreciated!
Here is a link of the page I'm trying to get set up.
    http://blogs.conchango.com/tamershaaban/archive/2005/01/24/873.aspx

    Hello Gang:
    The answer:
In the Transport Properties Box in the Receive Port, you use the entire Routing String (found in SAPLOGON.INI) and append the application server in the SAP Gateway Host field field (cpce601 in my case).
    /H/LocalServer/H/XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/S/3297/H/cpce601
In the SAP Gateway Service you use SAPGWXX (where XX is the System Number - sapgw13 for my example)
Also make sure your Program ID,Client, System ID, Username/Pass are in the other boxes.
I hope this helps someone else!
