2540 smartphone and tablet printee

Hi, just bought above printer to use with I pad. Although I checked this in store it appears I have to install software which I cannot do as have no access to computer. I do have wi fi but this isn't helping please help! Aoc

Is this an HP Deskjet 2540 AiO Printer?
I think I understand that you want to connect this to your Wi-Fi so you can print to it from your iPad and that you don't have a computer to use to help set up the printer. If that is the case, I would recommend using WPS if that is available to you.

I do hope you have a router that supports WPS; that will make this much easier. Not all routers support this though. You may need to check your router information, or look for a button on the router with two arrows in a circle pointing at each other, something that looks like this picture (which is just one example router that supports this):

Firefox Sync doesn't sync bookmarks between smartphone and tablet.Works fine between desktop and mobiles.

I have a desktop,smartphone and tablet.They all have the latest FX35.They are all signed in and connected to Sync.Sync is the latest version and it works with email and password, instead of pins.On all devices, Sync is configured to sync all items(bookmarks,tabs etc).
When I enabled Sync on smartphone and tablet, they got my desktop's bookmarks without a problem.They appear in a folder named desktop bookmarks.All the changes reflect properly between smartphone-desktop and tablet-desktop, but, the bookmarks do not sync between smartphone-tablet.
When I open a tab on the smartphone, after a while it appear on tablet's Synced Tabs page.Vice verse is true also.So at least some syncing exists between smartphone-tablet.
Is it possible to create a bookmark on smartphone and have it appear on the tablet and vice verse,just like the synced tabs work ? I tried deleting the sync account and creating a new one, but I still don't see my smartphone's bookmarks on the tablet.
It would be even better if there was an option to choose which device can override another device's bookmarks.I don't really need desktop bookmarks on smartphone, but I'm too scared to delete them.I'm afraid it will also delete them from desktop... ?

So "new" aka "Firefox Accounts based sync" syncs desktop<->tablet and desktop<->phone but not phone<->tablet. Hmmm I actually have tested this S5<->Nexus 5<->desktop (Mac) and it worked.

Video on Smartphones and Tablets.

Hi Muse Devs!
My name is Dan, I have tried to embed video in the Smartphone and Tablet versions of my clients website,
I have used the Muse Themes widget to get the video working on the Desktop versions and it works great,
however I can not seem to figure out how this would work on the SmartPhone or Tablet Versions.
I have downloaded and used the Full Browser Video and it works perfectly on the Desktop sites.
I was wondering if there was a jQuery/JavaScript/html code I could insert into Muse which would work on the Phone or Tablet site? via iFrame?

Yeah, I definitely understand the reasons why video on tablet/phone sites are avoided due to bandwidth issues.
However, we are finding that the Video content of websites is far more engaging and have found great results when using a
short 20second video no more that 1mb as a great intro. I don't think the 1mb limit would not really effect your bandwidth on a mobile network.

Uses a flash video (.swf) embedded into the site that auto plays on Desktop/Tablet/Smartphone seamlessly.
We're noticing a big push toward this technology and I am assuming at this point Muse does not support Video on Tablet or Smartphone devices yet?
I/we may need to get more creative in finding a solution to provide this product to our clients.
I will continue my research.
If you or your team have a work around or suggestion that would be much appreciated.

HT4168 can an ebook created on pages be read on kindle and android smartphones and tablets?

Hi can I create an ebook using Pages, have it as interactive with pinch and pull functions for graphics and, can it be read on kindle and android smartphones and tablets?

iBooks Author is a free Apple application, very similar to Pages, and does an excellent job of creating iBooks but those are tied to Apple's book store as I stated.
The whole area of eBooks and interactive books is not as well implemented and established as pdfs and DTP generally, which is why you see books being released in several formats, usually epub, .mob and .pdf.
Typically what you get with a host of individual companies competing with each other and trying to lock in customers. Be lovely when we get an industry open standard (that works). Maybe the EEC will set one, but they do have other things on their minds. The USA hasn't even managed the easy and obvious metric system so don't expect any forward thinking there.

i'm in some sort on reflexion right now about the same issue... One problem that i have, is the price of BC.
I think it is too expensive... there are more and more open source solutions for Web designer firm and there is also a ruff competition on hosting.
for example: i, to be competitive, offer full service hosting with unlimited everything for 10$ a month... try to tell your client that "i need to move your site and it's gonna cost you the double"
I've been a long time user of adobe product, and now i feel a little stranded. Add to this, a 2000$ fee for rebranding the system and the poor lack of support (no phone number to call)
and especially for francophone users...
i'm a little sad of the situation, i thought i could upgrade all my suite and finally save some time. i'm not ready to make the jump yet.

pointing out That We Already have published a website designed with Adobe Muse, about two months ago, without finding any kind of problem, for this reason we believe That the problem does not depend on us
1. the site properly sets in three versions (desktop, tablet and phone) and visible only in the desktop version Also from smartphones and tablets.
2. all photos included in the 'presentations' or galleries poprie the program does not display it in local preview it after publication.
note: we use the exported files in html and uploaded in our domain
you can redraw the program to see if the update was performed to Muse DC Correctly or use the old version Which at least gave no problems with image galleries?

The problem I am having is this: The phone and message portion of my palm stopped working. I called my provider and they told me I needed a new sim card. I got a new one and put it in and still experienced the problem. It was a complete stoppage. I could call one out of 10 tries and a message or two came through but late. I then called Palm and they walked me through a hard reset and the phone started working, ...but only for the evening. Now again it is at the same place. I have hard reset it several times and occasionally it will work once or twice after that. ....

"Enable Swipe" don't work and Tablet Layout on a Smartphone

I have two big problems with my own site www.mhgrafikdesign.de:
1. I have different slideshows in my tablet version of my site. I created the slideshow before one of the updates with the feature "Enable swipe" came out. However, it worked well on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1n. Now I have a Microsoft Surface and it's not working anymore although "Enable Swipe" is enabled. I don't know if the Microsoft Surface has problems with the slideshow or one of the updates has "damaged" my slideshow. Please help me! Any ideas?
2. I have a HTC 8S smartphone and if I type www.mhgrafikdesign.de my smartphone always show me the tablet version. Any idea why? P.S. Swiping there is also not possible.

The slideshow uses fullscreen mode and was build with the latest version of Muse. On my Win8-Tablet, it is not working. I tested this with the IE11 in desktop- and in modern-ui-mode.
Next to this problem, I also run into these things:
1. Using the buttons to go forward and backward in the slideshow will select the text-arrow inside the button when touched.
2. Clicking the forward- and backward-button behaves different. Windows Desktop -> slideshow does not roll back, so you can click forever in one direction, no feedback that you reached the end. On iOS -> slideshow will be rolled back and you get the visual feedback to start over again.
3. Zoom into the fullscreen-slideshow will result in strange and not really controllabel behaviour. Zooming in does not allow to pan.
But I am not talking only about the phones. It is more about windows tablets in general. So, content can be viewed in the InternetExplorer11 in desktop-mode and also in modern-UI-mode (touch does work in both modes). But it is also possible, that people use other browsers like Firefox and Chrome. I think, it would be a quite a good idea to translate the movement of the mousepointer into gestures. This javascript library shows what I think is a good aproach: Hammer.JS - Hammer.js

Transferring ebooks to smartphones and Android devices

Several people have posted to the Forum about their ability to get ebooks to smartphones and Android devices that aren't supported by Digital Editions.
SONY has at least part of an answer. They just posted the following information:
"Reader Store now enables you to browse, purchase, and download eBooks from any browser and have them instantly delivered to your wireless Reader device, Android® tablet, Android phone, PC or Mac®."
That means that SONY Reader Store supports these devices (hint to Adobe!!!).
Of course you can sign up for SONY Reader Store, and get your ebooks from them directly. Then, just follow their directions and you'll be able to transfer the ebooks to these devices, provided that their DRM settings will allow it. This is just a parallel way of getting ebooks, and the steps are similar to those you use with ADE, just as you would do if you were getting ebooks for your Nook from Barnes and Noble.
If you want to continue to obtain ebooks from other sites, such as gutenberg.org, manybooks.net, etc., then you can sign up for SONY Reader Store, download their Reader library and software, but use ADE to do the transfer from the website where you get the ebooks. Once the transfer is done, provided DRM will allow it, you can open Reader Store, import the ebook from the ADE library and use Reader Store to do the transfer to your smartphone or other device that they support. I know it's a bit of work, but you may find it worthwhile - and less frustrating.
SONY Reader Store has HELP features that will help you to go through the steps to do the importing and the downloading.
CAVEAT: I would not try to do this with library ebooks. The way they're handled in ADE may screw up any attempt you make to use Reader Store for the transfer. Contact your local library and see if their software supports your smartphone or Android device.

Are you planning to have separate URLs for desktops, tablets and mobile devices? That seems like a logistic nightmare to maintain.
Why haven't you re-built your desktop site with FluidGrid Layouts or CSS Media Queries in DW? One site that works in all devices makes more sense.

Now I do want to let you know that your phone has a "main" gmail account. If this "main" gmail account was the one you deleted it may be best that you reset your phone and activate it to your new gmail address.
The reason I recommend doing this is all of your purchased application information is also tied to your gmail.

I installed Mountain Lion on my iMac. Now I cannot access the Internet. All the other computers and tablets have no problem. I did PRAM and MC reset, modem reset, etc., all the usual ju-ju. I also cannot connect on my local network to any other computer.

Yet Network control panel says I am connect to the modem, and Network Diagnosis says I am connected to the Internet. It's like the blind man who has eyes that cannot see. BTW, I am not some newbee. I have been a Machead since the early nineties and set up a half dozen networks, including the one I am using at home to which the iMac mysteriously is there but not. This has me stumped! I am considering going back to 10.7!

Any idea's? I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. It looks great and works as expected on my system, but the techs cannot scroll through the different prints.

Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions.
