2610 signal & battery state not visible

The display on my 2610 is difficult to see in bright light. I have set contrast to maximum and selected the basic theme to get black on white however the battery state and signal strength bars are still in light blue which is impossible to see in bright light. How do I change the colour of the bars to black?

go to display settings and you can select diff colours
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

    Hi everybody
    I have a Acer Aspire 5820TG TimelineX which is a really good laptop. But I have a big problem. I can't read the state of the battery.

    I updated BIOS to v1.15 - still no solution. I have, however, found out why I can't see if the battery is charged or not. Appearantly, Acer is not using the standard ACPI spec. Just look at this:

    So I properly need to make a correct DSDT table to solve my problem. However, I can't make heads or tails in the ACPI spec document, and most infomation about such a issue is highly outdated.

  • Battery state not updating

    ok so I'm running arch linux on my laptop (Lenovo IdeaPad 510 G) and I've got a problem wit my battery, it doesn't update it's state to power managers (meaning that both xfce power manager and batti get an initial reading when I turn my laptop on but then they stop updating the battery state, so if I start my laptop with 100% battery that is what they will show for the whole session even if it drops to 1%), I've checked the wiki and tried using acpi, neither the battery nor the ac modules run but when I use acpi -i I do get my correct battery state.
    I'm starting to run out of ideas here, has anyone faced this kind of problem before?

    This is due to a recent upower update. upower 0.99 uses a whole new set of api's which means that all the power managers need to be updated to work with it. I had the exact same issue on MATE but mate-power-manager got patched yesterday which fixed the issue. Until xfce4-power-manager is patched, you'll need to use an alternative battery applet that does work with the new upower (if there is one) or downgrade to an older version of upower. Here's the link if you want to downgrade: http://seblu.net/a/arm/2014/03/31/extra/os/x86_64/
    EDIT: Don't bother downgrading upower. The issue has already been reported: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/39893
    and a new version of xfce4-power-manager which fixes the issue is in the testing repo: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/test … r-manager/

    Please find "System Information" in this folder path---Applications > Utilities---and launch it. When it opens, find "Power" in the left-hand contents pane and click it to get something like this in teh main pane:
    Copy everything in the "Battery Information" and copy/paste it here. The number values in that report may help us diagnose what is happening.
    Also, did you buy this battery directly from Apple or from another source. There are an increasing number of reports showing up that suggests some counterfeit batteries being sold.

    You'll want to reset your SMC (System Management Controller). Instructions are simple:

  • IPhone 4 Signal/Battery Problem!!!!!

    I dont know how to explain this but my signal(carrier) drops to NO SERVICE every
    1-2 hours i think (im not sure).
    And my battery drops 30% oovernight (NO wi-fi, Push notifications, indeed it was on airplane mode before i sleep)
    But i have a feeling that this is because of the apple's updates? Because it all starts when i update mine to 4.0.2-4.1.0
    Anyone having same problem. Anyone know how to fix this?

    As far as I know I don't have any issues with the signals.
    Yesterday I unplugged my iphone at 7 AM sharp, at 10 PM, I had 83% remaining so I decided not to charge my phone, so I put it on airplane mode close all my apps on the multi-tasking bar and I woke up this morning and it was still at 83%. So my battery did not drain overnight. Right now it's 4 PM where I live, and my usage stats reads 2 hours 58 min. and a standby time of 1 day 9 hours and my battery % is at 53. So from the time I woke up till now I only lost 30%. Normally I check my phone every hour.
    Not to mention on Saturday night I had 21% remaining before charging. So here is what I did before I charged mine. I connected my iphone to itunes and synced my iphone, after it was complete, I did a hard reset by holding the home button and the sleep/wake (ignoring the red slider), I let go of both at the moment it shuts off, so that it won't turn on by itself. I then waited a couple of minute, then I let it charge overnight, so this is what I'm getting.
    I'm using the 4.1.
    I would suggest doing the same, connect to itunes, sync, hard reset and recharge, this surely helped improve my battery life. If this doesn't fix for you, then try full restore and see if that does any help.

  • Drop down boxes do not show up. My tabs are not visible. I could barely see the box to type in this question. Something is off. I deleted and reinstalled program it is still just floating words. I work on a Mac with ox 10.6.8

    The browser boxes, tabs, and links do not show up with the needed outlines, colors, and shapes. This box I am typing in was barely visible. Above this box is a set of two verticle parallel bars. When I moused over it, I saw it was for inserting a link, but if I had not been curious I would not have known what those lines were for. When I look at this page on PC I have a colored blue backdrop. It is not visible on the Mac. The search box does not have the image of the magnifying class and the arrow does not show up where it should be. The words Post Question just appear below the statement we have made some educated guesses about your browser. I thought maybe it had been a theme that was applied, but I do not see how it could have come on when I trashed the old version of the firefox.

    A;though the CSS is very well documented, there are those that ignore those signs. Look at the following
    /* Menu item containers, position children relative to this container and are a fixed width */
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li
        margin: 0;
        padding: 0;
        list-style-type: none;

        position: relative;
        text-align: left;
        cursor: pointer;
        width: auto;

    The rest have been given a width of 15em, so this value may be a good start.

    Just keep the border property and remove the other two.

  • E-Recruiting - Internal Candidates not displayed in candidate search, job postings not visible for internal candidates in job search

    Hi Friends,
    We are on EREC standalone model. Initial data transfer between HR to EREC master data using PFAL is done.
    All employees have got NA, CP, US, BP in HRP 1001 in EREC system.
    Change pointers are also activated in HCM system, now current master data changes are also in reflecting in EREC system thro IDOC posting.
    But when recruiter logs into portal and does a candidate search, no internal candidates are appearing ?

  • Hard drives not visible in Disk Utility

    I decided to add two additional 1.5 TB drives to my (early 2008) Mac Pro, in addition to the two 1.0 TB drives already there. I have a Mac RAID card, but the drives were not configured into an array because I was having battery and setting problems with the RAID card as described in previous posts.
    I perhaps got the the not so bright idea to reconfigure my system from scratch, so I put the two 1.5 TB drives in, created partitions via Disk Utility, and then took all the drives out. I then put one of the new 1.5 TB drives in only, and re-installed OS X. So far, so good. Then, I put all 4 drives in, including the previous 1.0 TB drive with OS X on it.
    Interestingly, the system then booted to the old 1.0 TB drive with OS X, and then it 'hung' on something with the spinning icon. I shut it down, and then put the new 1.5 TB with OS X, but it would not start. I yanked out the RAID card, figuring it was not helping. I managed to put the Boot DVD in, and the system does boot to DVD. However, it cannot visualize any drive at all, only the two DVDs in Disk Utility.
    I tried several things. One is hardware scan by holding the 'D' key on startup -> no errors.
    I then tried resetting the PRAM holding the command-option-P-R keys, same issue - boots to DVD, but no drives.
    I then tried resetting what I think is the SMC, which is a button on the motherboard down near where the memory slots, and there a green light comes on next to the STBY area.
    I'm out of the Apple care warranty, and I guess I'll have to pay for support going into the Mac Store, but I am hopeful someone has an idea.
    I wondered if the cable from the SATA connector to the motherboard was loose, but it appears intact. However, I'm not sure how to get the plastic cage off.

    Good idea, but the RAID card is out, and even the original drives are not visible. There is some type of BIOS or some related error.

  • Business Area is not visible

    I have Discoverer 10g 9.0.4. The EUL is visible by a couple of accounts. Of the accounts that can see the Business Area, I can revoke the BA and it disappears from the user. I can then grant it back to the user and it is visible again.
    With a new database account with the same database permissions as the other accounts, the business area is not visible. I can log in with one of the "bad" accounts I can see the EUL5 tables. I can see that in EUL5_ACCESS_PRIVS and EUL5_EUL_USERS these accounts should be able to see the business area but no matter what I do in Admin, nothing is visible. What am I missing?
    I've even tried granting select on all EUL5 tables to public but that did nothing. I tried granting administrator access to these accounts but that didn't make the BA visible either.
    I tried another desktop with Discoverer Administrator installed and tried granting/revoking access to these accounts but that didn't help either.
    HELP! :)

    I did the following as a test:
    create user test_disco identified by test_disco default tablespace tools temporary tablespace temp;
    grant connect to test_disco;
    grant dba to test_disco;
    -- Next, use Discoverer Administrator and grant access to the BA
    -- Next logon as TEST_DISCO and run the select statement:
    select b.ba_name
    from EULOWNER.eul5_eul_users u,
    EULOWNER.eul5_bas b,
    EULOWNER.eul5_access_privs p
    where u.eu_id = p.ap_eu_id
    and b.ba_id = p.gba_ba_id
    and u.eu_username = user
    -- one row returned
    -- Next, connect with Discoverer Desktop or Discoverer Plus as TEST_DISCO and unable to see any Business Areas.
    What is going on?

  • ListBox Items sometimes not visible on app Resume

    Hey,
    I have a winRT windowsphone 8.1 app in development and I've come across a strange problem sometimes.
    Basically, when my app loads, I pull items from an RSS using syndication feed, store to a data set which is binded to the listbox. This works perfectly.
    I can even hold the back button, terminate the app, then reload it and the items repopulate instantly (guessing the app automatically saves state? I didn't program this in) but occasionally, the listbox is empty. Or so I think, turns out the items are still
    loaded; I tap the blank screen and an article shows up, I can still even scroll up and down this blank space, tap other blank areas and different articles from that feed load. So clearly the listbox is still populated, Just not visible.
    Does anyone know what causes this? Any advice on what I need to be doing here? Can provide code if required.

    Alright so I worked out part of the problem. The reason it wasnt working on navigating back sometimes is that parts of the code for initialising the listBox resided in the constructor, and not "onnavigatedto". Moving the code into that method fixed
    the issue when navigating back pages.
    However, the problem still remains on physically closing the app (swiping it away in multitask view). When the app is loaded again, the listbox is blank, but operable (the feed is clearly loaded as selecting the blank screen opens articles). It seems that
    this doesnt occur if I change the "bypasscahceonretreive" property on the syndicatedfeed to "true", but if i set this that means the page will always bypasscache when navigated back to it, i dont want this (waste of quota) so i still need
    to fix that one.
    Im thinking i may need to implement proper resuming when the app is "closedbyuser"? So add an "onloaded" handler, and it the app was closed by user then just bypass the cache and itll probably work (again, not ideal, as id be happy for
    it to use the cache).
    Does this sound like the correct behaviour?
    EDIT:
    I had to do this. It worked, but wasnt ideal. So i bypassed cache on app first load and now it always shows up. weird.

  • Keyword documentation is not visible....

    When I press F1, only the keywords on the ABAP keyword documentation are visible. The documentation is not visible on the right. It is blank.
    what may be the problem...
    Thanks in advance for ur help...
    Rajkamal

    Hi Rajkamal,
      Firstly when you press F1 on a keyword it will popup a window with the list statements for that keyword with the information which statement is used and which had been made obsolete, then clicking on them will take to the documenation of that keyword in a new window.......
    With luck,

  • " change" button not visible in check status ?

    HI,
    We are under upgrade of SRM 4.0 to SRM 5.0 . In SRM 4.0 "change" button
    is visible in check status even if shopping cart is under approval
    state.
    But in SRM 5.0 "change" button is not visible in check status if
    Shopping cart is under approval state.
    Please let me know if any one face this issue.

    Hi,
    Goto SU01 and fill in the user ID for which the button is greyed.
    Navigate to role tab
    Double click on the role so that the system opens transaction PFCG
    Select the "personnalization" tab where you will find the WFL security... (don't remember exactly the name as i do not have any system right now)
    This WF security has 4 level.
    By default it is set to none
    Select level 4 for maximum authorization.
    Save, log-off from ITS access et relogon.
    Then the button won't be greyed anymore
    Kind regards,
    Yann

  • Button not visible in standard sap-toolbar

    Hi All,
    I have added a custom key to standad SAP tollbar using Aceess key in tr-M52N.
    But that custom buttom is still not visible in tool bar. Can anybody guide me?

    Hi,
    It may be that the function is being disabled by authorizations.  To prove this, you could do the following...
    Before you run the transaction you modified, go into debug with /h.
    Run your transaction code - you should start up in debug.
    Use menu option Breakpoints / Breakpoint At / Statement.  Input the command SET PF-STATUS.
    Hit F8 to continue until the SET PF-STATUS command is found.
    At this point, if the SET PF-STATUS statement ends with EXCLUDING tablename (where tablename is an internal table), then double-click on the internal table and display the entries in it.  If your function code is included in this table then that's the reason why you don't see the button.  You'd then need to work back to determine why your function code is included in the internal table.  This assumes the function code does indeed already exist in the GUI status used in the screen.
