2630 FM Radio frequency setting

I recently bought a Nokia 2630 and the Set frequency feature in the FM radio is either very unintuitive to use or simply buggy.
It starts off by looking OK, like "108.0". No matter how I try, with the navigation button or direct numbers, there seems to be little correlation between the input and what get's shown on the display. e.g., no hope of simply entering "9" "9" "9" or "9" "9" "." "9" to get frequency 99.9.
Is this a known problem or am I just missing something? Any fix to SW coming soon?
Otherwise I think it's a very usable phone with a good set of features considering the price and a very nice and slim form factor.

I have the same problem. The FM radio frequency selector doesn't really seem to work.
Anyone knows if this can be fixed? This is really annoying.

  • Direct Satellite Service radio frequency leakage

I am adding an Airport Extreme Base Station to my system. I recieve internet service via DSS and am cautioned in manual about radio frequency leakage, presumably from satellite cable or the DSS modem. How can this anticipated problem be solved or prevented?

You made me look.. I have never in my life heard of interference on a free license band from communications that is presumably paid service..they are always required to run in a licensed band and pay big money for it to the government.
Looking at the list .. what things should you be worried about..
Microwave ovens.. yes, they do produce interference if the door seals are not good.. stop using it now.. it can hurt you.. wifi cannot.. but I have yet to see this as a major issue.. how much of the day do you have the microwave running.
power lines, railroad tracks, and power stations
You have to be joking.. if you have 250KV line outside your house and it starts to arc.. run for cover. If you run old fashioned CRT monitors.. you will probably go crazy with wavy lines due to the magnetic fields.. but I used to work in an office that ran next to main electrical conduit for a large city.. no problem with wireless.
    Railroads.. arcing of lines again..
Power stations.. arcing but do people in those places use wireless.. I suspect so without too much trouble.
Cordless telephones that operate in the 2.4GHz or 5GHz range. Yes, these are real problem.
But it is other people using wifi and all the other stuff in your house using it that is the problem.
I would classify DSS radio along with railway lines and power stations.. in other words if you have problems our lawyers were smart enough to have made sure it isn't our fault.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_interference_at_2.4_GHz
This is more the kind of stuff I would expect.. and I see no reference to DSS satellite services. Or broken coax fittings.
This is the quote from Apple doco. To others who are interested.
    Avoiding Interference
The farther away the interference source, the less likely it is to cause a problem. The following can interfere with AirPort communication:
Microwave ovens  Direct Satellite Service (DSS) radio frequency leakage  The original coaxial cable that might have come with a satellite dish. Contact the device
manufacturer and get newer cables.  Certain electrical devices such as power lines, railroad tracks, and power stations  Cordless telephones that operate in the 2.4GHz or 5GHz range. If you have problems with
your phone or AirPort communication, change the channel your AirPort Extreme uses, or
change the channel your phone uses. Â Nearby base stations using adjacent channels. For example, if device A is set to channel 1,
base station B should be set to channel 6 or 11.

  • Lenovo A6000 Plus FM Radio Frequency

How do you set the FM Radio Frequency to even values such as 104.0 MHz or 107.8 Mhz?
The stock FM Radio app does have a drop down which appears if one long presses the MHz value on screen but sadly the drop down contains only odd numbers (I really don't get the possible logic behind this!!) So you can set the frequency to 103.9 and then 104.1 but never 104.0!!!
I would really appreciate if I can set the FM radio frequency to any value between 88 to 108 MHz

Hi Team, Please tell me, how to go FM setting in lenovo A6000 and change the region to US.. Please assist ..

  • [WAS SOLVED FOR FEW HOURS] ipw3945: Radio Frequency Kill Switch is On

    Hi,
Just got a new machine (Lenovo Y410). I was trying to set up wireless but the wifi card never showed up. Looking at dmesg showed:
ipw3945: Radio Frequency Kill Switch is On:
Kill switch must be turned off for wireless networking to work.
    Ok fine.
But, the problem is that the switch is on the correct position...
    Any help/suggestions highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks again for your help.
Should anyone have this problem, you can also try:

None of these worked for me unfortunately. The only thing that finally solved this problem was to install windows temporary. Needless to say that this really sucks. But works.

  • IMac 24 radio frequency interferance during sleep mode

I have noticed that my iMac 24 produces radio frequency interference which I can hear on the AM broadcast band when I am listening to 1370 AM while using my computer.
When I am using the computer there is no noticeable interference on the AM tuner which is about 10 feet away from the iMac but as soon as the computer enters sleep mode, I can hear a constant tone on the radio about 1760 HZ along with the rest of the audio content normally broadcast. The tone is not overwhelming but is noticeable enough and annoying.
This 1760 HZ tone was determined as my closest approximation by comparing it with a piano key note when I play various notes for comparison purposes and it appears to closely correspond to key number 73 on a standard piano keyboard which is A6 or 1760 HZ.
I would like to know if this is a commonly observed problem and how to avoid it if possible. The iMac 24 I am using is a model A1225, part number MB418LL/A, serial number W89243Y00TG.
As far as I can recall, this has been true since I began using this iMac and did not happen after having the computer for a period of time and then appear suddenly. I just failed to connect the annoying tone to the sleep mode of the computer until recently when it was clear that as soon as the computer came out of sleep mode that the tone on the radio disappeared until sleep returned.

First - you aren't disconnecting any device while your computer is asleep are you? This can cause your problem.
Assuming this isn't the cause, let's do an SMC reset. Shut down the computer. Unplug all cables from the computer, including the power cord and any display cables. Wait at least 15 seconds. Plug the power cord back in, making sure the power button is not being pressed at the time. Then reconnect your keyboard and mouse to the computer. Press the power button on the back to start up your computer. Does it now sleep and awake?
If not srojtas is right that one of your peripherals may be the culprit but rather than disconnecting one at a time I recommend that you disconnect everything but your ethernet cable (assuming you have one) and your USB mouse and keyboard. Create a new account and set the computer so that you have to choose which account to log into.
Restart and log in directly into the new account. If it sleeps and wakes up now you know that the issue is your account or one of your devices. One at a time, connect (and install support software for) a device. Does the computer wake and sleep? Move on to the next. You may find the culprit along the way. Removing it may or may not let the computer sleep depending on whether it is the device itself or the software.
BTW - the device at fault could be a USB or FireWire hub.

  • Radio Frequency-confirmation OT on an outbound delivery with HU

    Hello Every Body,
I have a problem using standard transaction for the Radio Frequency.
    I explain my problem.
I would like to make a Good Issue with an outbound delivery by RF.
I create my outbound delivery with transaction MB1A.
And then I want to do the following steps with RF transaction LM61:
Creation OT - Confirmation OT - Good issue.
These steps are ok exepted the case partial consommation on a HU (which is on HU).
    For example:
    I have HU1 (palet) with 2 HU: HU2 and HU3 (bag) and I need only HU2.
In this case I have a problem for the TO confirmation.
Because I don't find where 'saying' I take this HU of this HU.
Thanks by advance for your help!

    Hello Stephen,
The issue here is that in the case of delivery created automaticaly via transaction MB1B the HU need to be precised at the moment of picking. However the company would like it to be working like in case of picking for a normal outbound delivery created in reference to a sales order (delivery type YLF) - while picking only a "technical" HU is taken and the righ HU are pricised by a user at the moment of picking confirmation.
Could you please propose any solution for that?

  • Is there a way to use my iPod Nano to listen to a radio frequency with wireless headphones.  It tells me that I have to plug in my headphones to receive the stations and when I do, the wireless headphones don't work!

Is there a way to use my iPod Nano to listen to a radio frequency with wireless headphones.  It tells me that I have to plug in my headphones to receive the stations and when I do, the wireless headphones don't work!

No. I'm sorry. But, i think it uses the headphones as an antenna so it has to be plugged in to headphones in order to make it work. but, it burns the battery down so i don't use the radio function that much.

  • Tecra M6-EZ6612: Bluetooth and WLan run at the same range of radio frequency

    Hi all
    I've a laptop that's Tecra M6-EZ6612 ...
i've got a problem that when i setup the bluetooth i've got a massege that says a conflict between the wireless and bluetooth ...
Both of them are working in same range of radio frequency !!!
So, i wonder how can i change the frequency range of the bluetooth device???!!!

Do not care about it. Bluetooth hardware v1.2 or v2.0 have a technology included called AFH="Adaptive Frequency Hopping" which tries to avoid any conflict with WLAN. It may only be a problem if you have a very old BT hardware (before 2004).

  • Radio Frequency - Error handling

    Hello ,
I have a problem with the error handling in a radio frequency program, because here is  not allowed to
show the error messages as a popup or in the status line.
I make a function call of 'L_TO_CREATE_TR'. The raised errors i get back in the exceptions are not a problem to handle. But in this function call, they put normal
    success or error messages in,
    for example
    Programm: SAPLL03A
    Include: LL03AF8C
    Line : 65 - 76
These messages I can t catch.
Is there any way to cut off the output of the messages??
I would appreciate a feedback very much!!!

  • Background sounds of a radio station, like i am picking up a radio frequency

I have a hp pavilion g series and this problem started last week, just all of a sudden i could hear what sounded like a radio station in the background, i closed out all the programs and still hear the talking, when even only the icons are up and no program is running. It seems like it is hidden and i can not find whats running

Reminds me of my grad school days in Rochester, NY, when vinyl was the source of all music. I had a decent stereo system for an impoverished student, but imagine my surprise when I learned, and not gently, that the phono cartridge in my turntable was perfectly attuned to receive the radio frequency used by the Rochester public transit bus dispatcher, whose signal was very strong indeed. I might be grooving along to Jefferson Starship, the Grateful Dead or Pink Floyd, gently ratlling the windows throughout our apartment and adjoining houses, puffing on a little of this or a little of that, when without warning I would be jolted out of my chair and across the room by an ear-shattering interjection of static-laden and distorted verbiage about the University Avenue local D bus, whose driver had just been vomited on my a drunk and needed advice about how to handle it. It was a real mood-spoiler for me. I replaced my phonograph cartridge and the problem was solved

  • Accessing Radio by setting UR

    Hi,
I am creating a application in C#, I am using iTunes COM object to access iTunes properties.
I am able to play video files and Audio filies by programatically setting up their path, but when i am trying to access Internet URL stream for podcast and radio it's not working as intended.
Is it possible to access internet online streams.
    if yes how.....
    Regards,
    Pankaj

this is javascript rather than java/jsp, but
I don't see any form on the page. so you would get a null at document.form.
Also if tehre is only one radio in the group, this code will create an error, as document.form.revgrp would return the radio, rather than a collection of them.
    to debug
    Try
    alert('document.form');
    alert('document.form.revgrp);
if document.form is null/unknown then you need to find out the name of the form to put there.
    Alternatively
    document.forms[0].revgrp might work.

Do a Spotlight search. If you see it there, then it is probably hidden. Connect to iTunes and you should find it in a hidden screen--like 10 or 11. Just drag it back to a visible screen.

  • Listening to the TV at the Gym.  Radio Frequency

How can I listen to the TV at the gym on my Iphone 5s?  I had a Griffin device to do this for my Iphone 4.

Gym TVs are not based on standard AM/FM radio signals which the Griffin device likely gives you.   Typically they are either Cable TV or Satellite TV channel based.  You would have to consult with the gym.  This much I do know, DirecTV has a Genie service that lets you pick up over the internet its TV signal for a limited set of stations on your iPhone.   If they have DirecTV, they might have that Genie service installed, and could give you access to their account.
