2630 keeps discharging after turning bluetooth off

On regular use (i.e. without using bluetooth), I can use my Nokia2630 for several days without recharging. Sometimes I use a bluetooth headset connected for about an hour and then disconnect the headset and turn bluetooth off. The bluetooth indicator disappears, but the battery keeps on discharging and is empty after less than 12 hours.
If I turn bluetooth off and turn the phone off and back on again, there is no problem.
Summarized, after turning bluetooth off, the phone keeps using a lot of battery power.
Is this a techical failure, firmware issue, ...
Suggestions pleas?

I think might the bluetooth manager did not shutdown properly. and so judging from that, the battery depleted very fast but the battery indicator might not detect it as quick as it should. It happens all the time. Even my phone does.

  • IPhone keeps crashing after turning it off

    Hello!
I got a question. I just bought my new iPhone 3GS from AT&T couple days ago. It has 3.1.2 firmware. Every time I install some new apps, games, ringtones, wallpapers, or anything, it crashes after I turn it off and then turn it on. After turning it on, it shows a little arrow and iTunes icon, telling me to connect it to the computer. After I plug it in, it tells me that: "itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode", and I have to recover it, and start from nothing again. How can I fix it?

When the iPhone is in recovery mode, the only thing you can do with it is to restore it. Sorry
    Taken from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See [this article|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414] for more information.

  • Since reconnecting bluetooth on my 3G after accidently dropping (the ap not the phone) I have successfully reconnected only to find the phone continuously searching for devices. To stop excessive draining of the battery I turn bluetooth off.

After successfully reconnecting my 3G iPhone to bluetooth (I accidently dropped bluetooth) the phone contantly searches for devices. Everything works fine now but it appears the battery is draining more rappidly because the phone is constantly searching in the background. I turn bluetooth off when I exit the but it drives me nutty. Any suggestions?

Is it possible to find out what serial or UDID info is stored on iCloud being used by the FindMyIphone site?  The FMI website doesn't show anything but the name and the device image (which is a generic iPhone image, and definitely not the 5S )
    Unfortunately not.

  • Need to turn bluetooth off after sleep so that apple mouse is 'seen' again

i have an apple bluetooth mightymouse bluetooth. after my macbook pro goes to sleep, i need to turn bluetooth off then on again on the MBP so that the bt mouse is seen again. if i don't do that, the mbp never reconnects with the mouse. any hints?
I have set off the 'allow bt devices to wake up computer from sleep' to save battery life on the mbp.
    p

I use a Kensington PilotMouse Bluetooth and it looses it's connection from the MBP because the mouse turns off to prolong battery life. When I return the computer from sleep, I have to click the mouse buttons a few times... and wait up to 10 seconds, but it eventually reconnects once the laser on the mouse turns back on. Have you tried this?
    I hope this helps.
    Take care,
    Chris

Hi John. Thanks for that input. At Step 6, after clicking "Next" I get a window telling me my OS version is unsupported and the installation may not complete. I am prompted to go to Canon's web site to "Check Latest Info".
I've had this window on previous attempts and from Canon's web site I downloaded two drivers as follows
    - ICA Driver V4.0.0
    - Canon IJ Network Tool V4.5.0
I'm not sure if these are the correct / complete drivers I need for this install or not.
I continue to follow all the steps. At step 9 I click "Wireless Set Up using USB" amd get a License Agreement (a little different than instructions)
I click "Agree" and it goes to a Setup window with two progress bars showing the installation. I've not been prompted to connect the USB?
After the Setup window is done, I am then prompted to connect the printer via USB. I connect the printer and click on "Redetect". It is not detected.
I then try following the Canon on screen instructions for connecting to the wireless LAN amd enter the password. It searches and indicates "Connecting" on the window, but it never connects and the blue light just blinks
So, at this point I am stuck??
    Thanks
    Stephen

My iphone keeps crashing and turning itself off.....even though battery life is fine...as soon as i plug charger in it comes bcak on....help very frustrating...3g

absolutely that is frustrating. if the battery life is fine there could be two things software or hardware. to find out if your back up your information in itunes and import pictures and then restore the phone as NEW then you can test it out. if it is still shutting off it is hardware related

My iphone keeps freezing, then turning itself off. Please help me resolve the problem whatever it may be.

You said that you restored it.  "forgot to mentioned that ive tried all of that"
When you restore, you can restore from backup or as new.
Did you or did you not restore it?

Are you recovering Lion or later Time Machine backup with a Lion or later machine?
If you are, then use this article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
Other Time Machine restore options are here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1427
Note, if recovering from a PowerPC Mac (iMac G5, PowerMac, Mac Mini G4, iBook, Powerbook), this tip is important:

Otherwise use the recommended restore option with whatever backup software you used initially.

  • Can't turn bluetooth off, unspecified network in my computer.

Why can't I turn my computer bluetooth off? And why is there an unspecified network in my computer? And why do the bluetooth file exchange automatically opens at the same time when all the above happens? Why do I have to reformat my computer and import CDs once every few months?can

When you go to "System Preferences">"Bluetooth" and uncheck the "On" box does it come back on? Or if your bluetooth symbol is in the "Menu Bar" you can click the "Turn Bluetooth Off" in there.
Check in "System Preferences">"Sharing". Do you have any of the sharing boxes cheked? Your MacBook will search for any computer within range and put it in the sidebar of the "Finder" window. Is this what you mean?
Why do you have to reformat your computer and import CDs once every few months? What is going wrong that you have to do that?
And why are you at 10.6.1? Are you not doing Software Updates?

  • How can I turn bluetooth off via terminal or applescript?

Above if battery pull/soft reset doesn't help. If it's boot looped may need new equipment

  • Saved texts deleted after turning iMessage off

All my saved texts were deleted after I turned iMessage off.  Anyone know why and how to get messages back without restoring?

If I try my app with the DefaultGrayPhone or QwertyDevice, it works ok, the data keeps stored after a turn the mobile off, like the DefaultColorPhone used to work.Looks like you're using WTK - right? When I had problems like you describe, I typically cleaned up appdb folder.
appdb folder is usually located in WTK installation directory. In some versions it could be placed somewhere in "user documents" directory.
Typically, I simply removed "DefaultColorPhone" subfolder of appdb. To be on a safer side, you better make a backup copy of this folder prior to its deletion.

  • Data deleted after turning emulator off

    Hi Everybody,
I developed a MIDP app that (among other things) stores a username and password, so you don't have to type them every time. This code was working fantastic, but I think I had a problem with the emulator. Yesterday morning, the username and pass were stored in the mobile emulator (DefaultColorPhone), no matter if I turned the emulator on and off, they kept stored anyway. Yesterday afternoon, while I was storing the user name and password, the computer went off. And since that moment, the username and password are not stored any longer after I turn the mobile off. If I start and exit the app (withouth turning off the emulator), the data is stored properly, but after I turn it off, the data disapears (store.getNumRecords() returns zero). I believe something got damaged, but I don't know how to fix it. I already deleted de db and create it again, but nothing changed.
If I try my app with the DefaultGrayPhone or QwertyDevice, it works ok, the data keeps stored after a turn the mobile off, like the DefaultColorPhone used to work.
Do you have an idea on how to solve this?

  • GPS still active after turning it off

The gps works good, few seconds to fix the location but when I turn it off the gps still runs in background eating the juice... The toggle is turned off but if I check the battery life I always see the gps alive!
How to solve, except rebboting the phone everytime??
    Topic edited by Rickard

Usually even if you take the tick out of "GPS Satellites", google apps still can access the gps if you had granted it permission, the best way to completely stop GPS is to go to Settings>Location Services and turn off  "Access to my location" this will completely shut down GPS from everything. Just restart the phone after that and check if that solved your problem
