27 inch imac when reset is press nothing happens

When I press the reset icon my imac show the revolving icon on the screen but this continues until I do a manual reset.
Any ideas of why this is occuring?

hello I had the same problem too I also though it was a hardrive issue I brought my mac back to apple to get a new one and guess what....the exact same thing ....my imac was plugged onto a power bar and thats what was causing the clicking sound !! I plugged directly into the wall anf everything went back to normal....
check where your computer is plugged and try a different outlet.

Mavericks downloads into the Applications folder, where you can install it. Some Mac App Store Troubleshooting information and how to resume a download that was interrupted; some of the information here might get you an answer. Failing that, try contacting Apple Support.

Is there no sound period? I mean nothing through the headphones or the speaker? If the sound works only through the speaker or just through the headphones the switch inside the headphone port maybe stuck open. Try plugging and unplugging 10 to 12 times to unstick it. If no sound at all, go into Settings>Music>Volume Limit. See if it is turned on, if so check that the limit is not turned down to zero. If still not the problem try a soft reset, press and hold the power and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears, about 15 seconds, then release. if still no joy go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. If still no joy, connect to iTunes via the cable and Restore to backup. If that doesn't work Restore to new. Just remember to save all your stuff that can be wiped before you restore, pictures, music, contacts etc. If none of this works, then maybe a hardware issue contact Apple Genius Bar or store and have your iPod evaluated. Your iPod touch will never appear in Windows Explorer, by the way. It doesn't have the "disk mode" that the older iPods did.

You don't need to restart your computer to open Firefox again: you just need to close it manually through your application manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC in Processes tab). Anyway, hopefully this support article is what you need:

What's probably happening is that you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

I have starter 3.0 and cannot share pictures via outlook express. Evidently that version is discontinued and my outlook express does not support the MAPI that is required. I think the only solution is to upgrade to photoshop
elements or to send photos as attachment to your e-mail. I have the same problem using Zoom Browser EX sending photos via internet. I spent a whole day trying to resove this issue and have exhausted all options. Just like "Instant share" in HP image Zone that was replace by photoshop album starter 3.0 and now it is out dated.

"This iPhone cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage available."
This message is displayed when there is not enough storage space available in your iCloud Storage to complete your backup. You can either reduce the amount of data you are backing up under Backup Options, or you can buy more storage.

I have the same problem, but discovered I can 'gift' itunes. Michael: are you still using an old version o0f PSE (e.g. PSE V4)? Problems similar to the one that you described are relatively frequent in old PSE Versions ( I was suffering a lot from them)..... and there are quite seldom in newer PSE versions. Unfortunately, I do not remember which PSE Version became much better in this area (was it V5? or V6?)
If using an older PSE version and encoutering often the problem: consider to migrate to a newer PSE Version..

Thanks for your quick reply. I tried a number of different values. Usually when I do a negative offset they're very small values, like -.25 or -.5.
An Update- I took the art work into Ai CS 6 and It still did not work, which is really strange. And I've used it hundreds of times with success in the past. Also I tried it with live type and outlines, ungrouped, un-compounded still could not get it to negative offset.
