2760 main screen not fully lighting up when flippe...

Hi,
My 2760 phone has stopped lighting up fully when I open the phone. I can make and receive calls, send and receive sms, but with some difficulty since the screen is very dim. When I go into the camera function I just get a blank screen.
I have tried
- fully charging the battery
- removing the battery for a period of time
- changing the power saving settings
Any ideas?

Screen won't light up when I get a text?

So today I updated my Galaxy S5 to Lollipop.
Before I got this update, my phone would always light up and display a notification when I got a text message. But now after the update, it no longer does this.
It's frustrating, because since I'm at school, I always keep my phone on silent. But now I can't see my phone screen light up when I get a text. Is there anyway that I can make it light up again?

jenga11, you have a great device! I want to make sure that it is running like it should after the update. Are you using the default text message application that came on the phone or is it a 3rd party application from the Google Play Store? Please keep us posted.

Main Screen not Showing after deleting Applications.

I accidently deleted some applications on my MBP.
And now my mac cant load to the main screen, the color wheel keep spinning.
And ideas to rectify this problem?

I think I need to format my hdd because ... my hdd left with 3 gig ... and i cannot recovery by using Lion Recovery ...
Maybe I need to reformat and install leapord (CD) ...?

Z30 not boot: no screen, not led lights, nothing...

I can't believe this is happening to me. it's mt 4th blackberry, but something like that never happened before.
I have z30 for a year now.
today, after finished a phone call and starting a new phone call, the phone calls app stop responding. so I decided to restart my phone.
I did a restart (with the menus) and the blackberry stuch on the white blackberry logo. I tried a several times, with charger without charger, I pressed a 5 seconds on the power menu to get it restart over and over and the same result.
after the red light the blackberry white logo appeared on the screen and that's it. I waited an hour, but it's just stuck there.
I didn't install any new apps lately.
so I connected the blackberry to the pc and try with the blackberry link software to do a manufactor reset.
it's failed right at the beginning. It's look like when the red light appear it connected to the pc and when the blackberry logo appear it's disconnected from the pc.
so I thought to make an os upgrade. I just don't care anymore about my data, just to get the phone work again.
so I downloaded a new os version from here and it start ok. detect the blackberry, start to load the image and the about 30% it says "failed to load image" and that's it.
the blackberry now dont even start. no lights when pressing the button, tried to reinstall the os upgrade, nothing....
is my blackberry z30 is dead?
can I do something to fix it? buy a new motherboard or something?

My opinion its just a bad luck. Hardware parts can start to malfunction.
My Toshiba notebook has been running since 6 years without any troubles.
My parents bought an notebook from another manufacture. After two days the motherboard died. Simply bad luck it was pity but the dealer replaced the faulty unit and since then it runs ok.
Mostly its not matter what notebook you would purchase. Such issues may happen simply.

BB Z3 screen not showing up, even when the phone is on

Got a new BB Z3, however am facing some issues with it. While the phone is on, the screen does not show up, it shows as if the phone is switched off, but when I try calling from a landline to my BB the phone rings but the screen is turned off and I am able to take the call.
But after a few hours the screen turns on and I am able to work normally
Please let me know of how this problem could be solved.

Wow..I just tried it again right now, and for some reason it worked this time,
even though I did it exactly the same way as I was doing it all morning.
I am not going to question why,
I am just happy it is working again.

How can I get the lock screen to stop lighting up when I get a text message?

I just got the s5 and my screen keeps lighting up every time I get a text. I really just want it to vibrate or make a noise. Is there anyway to stop this feature?

Any screen protector or case in use, that may disturb the proximity sensor?
Is the screen otherwise performing as it should during and after a phone call?
A soft reset is advisable whenever the phone act up, and can be performed without losing data. Press and hold the volume down and power key simultaneously until the phone vibrates and restart.
We are running out of options to avoid the factory reset ...

Screen not always responding right when plugged in?

I notice occasionally my screen just goes crazy. I'll be touching in the middle and it ends up actually touching done (no where Near where anything was touching). At first I thought it was the Body Glove case I have, so I removed it.
This doesn't always happen either, which is strange. After using the phone for a while though, I've noticed it only has happened while plugged in (Just to the wall, I don't plug it into the computer because I'm at work). As soon as I unplugged it, I could enter the text I needed and it was fine.
Is this happening to anyone else? I'm trying to find out if it's a real issue, or if I maybe just have a defective phone.

This happened to me one day...but I had it plugged into the work computer to charge...as soon as I held my finger in it (like in imovie) the screen would start jittering...but as soon as I disconnected it, it would work fine. This is only at work (PC) but not at home (macbook pro). Not sure why that is though.

My printer is less than one year old. the touch screen used to be bright and easy to read. now it is dim and hard to see. Any iteas or Did i change some setting by mistake?

I would try unplugging the printer for about 30 second and plugging printer directly into a wall outlet.

Is there some reason why longer clips are not fully transferred? (a half blue circle shows up on the transfer list, indicating that the clip was not fully transferred. When I check in the capture scratch folder, sure enough the whole clip is not there!
Is there some glitch in final cut express that only allows short clips to be transferred in full?

I did this and it was already unchecked. So this is not the answer...
The strange thing is, I have been logging and transferring with FCE for 2 yrs without any problems at all with shorter clips, but have come up against the problem with long clips (over 5 or so min) the whole time. I got around it by simply making sure I stopped recording after less than 5 min while shooting footage. OR if I accidentally got a long clip, I import into imovie and then import into FCE. Not very streamline and I worry about compressions altering quality!
I am now trying to import a 20 min and a 17 min clip and it only transfers around 3 minutes of each, I have re-tried several times and it happens repeatedly. The blue circle in the transfer list shows up as a half blue circle instead of full. Clip cuts off after 3 or so minutes.

My iPad 2 suddenly only has a black screen, however it lights up when home button or power button is pressed, but it is still a black screen! How do I fix this? Please Help!

With the iPad turned on try a reset by holding down both the Home icon and power button together for about 10 seconds, you should then see an Apple logo in the middle of the screen.

My Macbook Pro 17" 2.44ghz all of a sudden one day decided to not boot up. When the power button is pressed the sleep light in the front on the latch release turns on and there is a small running sound but it never boots up and the screen never lights up. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas?
I'd love to repair it but not if it'll cost 500 bucks or more to replace the logicboard.

yes, you can locate and copy a file from your HD to a USB key using UNIX commands. If you know the exact name of the file which you’re trying to locate, try this:
find / -iname filename -print
This command will search your entire internal disk for the particular filename. If you know that it’s within a particular user account, then you can save search time with this variation:
find /Users/username -iname filename -print
Either variation of this command will print all files found which have the given filename. Presuming that you’re able to identify the correct file, you can copy it to a USB key using the command
cp -p filename_returned_by_find /Volumes/USB_volume
If you’re not sure which volume name your USB key has, this command will show you what the possibilities are:
ls /Volumes

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.
