2G 32GIG iPod Touch Keeps Turning Itself Completely Off????

I've got a 2g 32gig iPod touch that constantly turns itself completely off if I let it sit for 5 minutes or so. It's not locking...It's completely turning itself off. I need to reboot it to get it going again. I thought it might be the older 2v software so I've updated to the most current 3.1.3 or something. Still doing it. Is there anything I can try. I started the music playing and it keeps playing all night. However, once I let it sleep it will only come back on if I try and use it within a few minutes. After that it's off. The battery is fine. If it stays plugged into the USB it is also fine. I'm stumped. Doesn't make any sense.
Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated. This thing cost way too much for this to happen just months after the warranty expired.

Have you tried:
- resetting it:
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the
Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restoring it from backup via iTunes
- Restoring it to factory defaults via iTunes.

Ipod mini keeps turning itself on???????

My 4GB ipod mini keeps turning itself on. It does this even when it is locked. This is a real pain as it keeps running the battery completely flat.
Can anyone suggest why this happens & how to stop it?

Hopin gsomeone can help me here. My iPod mini keeps turning itself on and playing..thus running down the battery overnight. I've checked that the alarm clock is set to OFF. I turn the iPod off, put Lock on the keypad and in the morning, it's turned on and playing. Any ideas for me?

Well my iPod mini keeps turning itself on although i've turned it off and put it on hold. It's draining the battery and it's annoying me as when i go to use it i can't because the battery is flat. Does anyone know why it's doing this and can help me please?

Sounds like an alarm is set.
Go to Extras>Clock>Alarm Clock and turn off the alarm.

My 3rd generation Ipod Touch keeps turning off. I put it on charge until full, but when I switch it on it turns off after a few minutes.

HT201263 Ipad 2 initially would turn itself completely off and have to be restarted with both buttons. Got to point that sometimes didn't work without repeated efforts. Restore stops when in the "waiting for ipad" part. Tried recommended Apple restore

Unable to turn on or do a restore.
After installing IOS7 it would turn itself completely off sometime and have to be restarted with both buttons. If I turned it off normally it would restart okay within an hour or so but overnight it would always go to hard off.
Using both buttons would usually start it with the Apple logo on the screen until it came up. Worked normally then. Knowing something was afoot I did a restore.
Now it will not turn on at all and I tried to restore in itunes but it stops at the point of "waiting for info from the Ipad"
I tried the Apple forum "recovery-restore" process several times with holding down the home button and plugging in the USB but it did not respond.
When connected through itunes it is still recognized as needed to be restored but the process will not complete.

If the problem persists, you may have to restore your iPod:
Restoring iPod to factory settings
Unfortunately, restoring will wipe your nano clean of all songs and photos.

Why does my ipod touch keep pausing itself?

While listening to my first generation ipod touch, it will just pause itself. Whether using headphones, auxillary jack, or skull candy speakers which connect through the charging port on the ipod. REALLY ANNOYING!

Ipod mini keeps turning itself back on whenever I turn it off.

My ipod mini turns itself on whenever I turn it off. It's still under guarantee but if I get new one will I be able to download the music from itunes or will I need to start again?

Are you putting the iPod on Hold using the slider whenever you turn it off? The clickwheel is quite sensitive and a touch will bring it back on. If you were to get another one, as long as all your songs are in iTunes you would just have to connect it to your computer and it would pretty much walk you through the installatation and automatically update.

HI EVERYONE<
I HAVE PROBABLY THE MOST ANNOYING PROBLEM THE IPOD TOUCH COULD HAVE...IT KEEPS PAUSING THE SONGS (AND EVEN VIDEOS) AFTER EVERY FEW MINUTES...EVEN IF ITS LOCKED. NOW I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING LIKE RESETTING IT, RESTORING IT AND ALL THAT AND EVEN DRAINING THE WHOLE BATTERY AND CHARGING IT AGAIN. IT WONT WORK.
I HAVE HAD MY IPOD TOUCH FOR A MONTHS NOW AND I HAVE HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF **** FROM IT. THING IS, FIRST IT COULD NOT TURN OFF BUT I SORTED THAT BY RESTORING IT AND RESETTING IT MULTIPLE TIMES I MUST SAY. BUT NOW, ANYTHING I PLAY EITHER A VIDEO OR A SONG PAUSES ON ITS OWN!!! I COULD SIMPLY PRESS PLAY AGAIN BUT AFTER A FEW SECONDS INTO THE SONG, IT PAUSES AGAIN. I CAN NEVER HAVE IT IN MY POCKET NOW BECAUSE I HAVE TO CLICK "PLAY" EVERY 15 SECONDS ARGGH. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME

I also want to submit my experience. Same exact thing happened to mine. It only happened after the recent update to ver 2.0.2 (5C1), and it's really ANNOYING!! You can't listen to an mp3 or any music this way when it pauses every few seconds! Of course, all the free apps I downloaded could be subject to scrutiny... Overall, the new apps as well as the default apps seem to still work with minimal issues.
The music sometimes jumps ahead to the next track, but mostly just pauses randomly within each track. Last night I temporarily cleared it up by holding the power off for 5 seconds, and it provides a red slide off [something I never saw before], waited a few minutes, then turned back on. (Found this step on another post.) I imagine this resets the system and may clear some garbage. After I did this [a few times] I successfully listened through a track or two, but was so peeved, and paranoid, I couldn't enjoy the music! I hope this doesn't happen next time. I thought it was a corrupted mp3 at first, but it happens to all tracks, and it seems to be an internal problem. If this continues, I may want to clear reset the whole device and possibly revert back to when it worked great, but then again, they may clear it up with another software revision.

My iPod touch keeps restarting itself.

I updated my 4th gen ipod touch this morning and since then it is stuck continually restarting itself. My ipod gets to the start up screen where the apple logo shows and then it switches itself off and then turns itself back on again and this repeats until the battery dies. I charged it thinking once it had died it would fix its own problem, but it continued even after that. I've tried the full restart by holding the home button and lock screen, but that only stops it for a second. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix it?

My ipod touch keeps turning the volume down by its self and when i try to turn it back up it wont let me also when the sound is off the speaker that comes up when you turn it on down on the screen wont go it just stays there it doesn't go!Any ideas why?

I got my ipod for christmas this year its the 4th generation.It keeps turning the volume down by its self,when i try to turn it up it does not work. It wont let me i dont know why so i cannot play music on my ipod which defeates the reason i got it.Also when it turns the volume down its self or i on the rare occasion that the volume works and i turn it down the speaker comes up and will not go.It stays there which is making my ipod difficult to use.Its been doing this for about a week now.I used it alot and i feel lost without it haha. Does anyone know why its doing this? Or a way i can fix it? I've cheaked for updates and there is none!

Have you checked the volume button? It might be physically stuck. To determine whether a hardware repair is needed, you need to follow these steps:
1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After that: test the device to see whether the issue is solved.
2. If the issue is not solved, you should backup the device and restore it as new.
In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup.
If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions
