2lis_02_item

All,
My customer runs  trasaction s_alr_87012620 in R3 and looks at how much they have spent. I have source data 2lis_02_itm which I report on in BW.
The figures are not even closed. My question is what is a relationship/s if any between the R3 trasaction s_alr_87012620 and my BW data source? Does 2lis_02_itm shows all the po’s? Why are the figures different.I know almost nothing about R3.
Regards

Hi David
The transaction and program name tells me that this is a query that was created in R/3 using Quickviewer (transaction SQ01). The query was then allocated a transaction. If you analyse the tables used in the (using SQ01), I think you will get all the tables that are being accessed for the query. This will also tell you the tables that you are not bringing across to BW. I think Roberto is right and you should use EKKO and EKKP tables.
Hope this helps

  • Problem with populating setup tables for purchasing

    I'm working on NW2004s.
Problem: Setup tables are not getting populated for 2lis_02_hdr, 2lis_02_item..
what all i've done so far:
    1. Activated Data Sources in RSA5.
    2. In LO Data Extraction, all the extract structure are active. (btw in job control i'm not sure what it does, i did make job parameter start date immediate, didnt set the print parms, schedule job gives an error.. anything here i may be messing it up?)
    3. In SBIW initialization Deleted the contents of setup table and executed the 'Purchasing - perform setup'.
    4. In NPRT i can see the log, the name of the source table EKKO, duration of run is 0.0 and no of docs 130.
    5. In RSA3 for 2lis_02_hdr extraction process 0 records.
    6. I look at SE11 for 'MC02M_0HDRSETUP' and table contents gives 0 records.
Any help is appreciated what i'm missing why the setup tables are not populating. I went thru the forum and did what was said but no sucess yet. I'm not an expert in SAP BW just been working for a year so pl dont be cryptic, explain u'r answers. Thanks for your time

    Hi,
All the active datasources will be available in RSA6, after that go to LBWE ,maintain Ex Stru, Maintain DS and make that active, then we go for statistical setup
    have you done these things?
Did you put any filters while filling up the setup tables?
what is the transaction you used for Setup.
    cheers

  • How to find out important fields in table like MARA?

How to find out important fields in a table for example like MARA?
    Details: In R/3 or ECC table for example MARA;
    1) How to find out what are the important fields?
2)Does the table have only key figures not characteristics right?
    3) There are so many tables in FI; Can you please tell me what are the important tables?
    4) There is any easy automatic way to figure out that the particular datasource for example 2lis_02_item is pulling data from so and so table. I like to know the process not the results please.
    Thanks in advance.
    York.

    Hi York,
       Let me go by points:
    1. There is nothing like important fields ... The question could be Key fields ... the fields which identify a record uniquely ... If you go to SE11, and go inot the dispaly of MARA table ... you will see that there is tick mark under key to indicate that the field is a key field ... All the fields which are so marked would identify a record in the table uniquely. If your question is otherwise ... (Important fields) ... then it depends on the purpose you wnat to meet ... Some fields might be important for me but not for you ... so there is not hard nad fast rule for important fields.
    2. No... Tables in R/3 or ECC would contain both Key figures and characteristics.
    3. Important tables in FI would be BKPF, BSEG and BSET.
    4. The procedure for finding out which table are used by say 2lis_02_item would be different from that of other non LO/LIS extractors.
In case of LO/LIS turn on the trace (below process) while populating the setup tables and for thoers while executing RSA3.
    1. Open one session and go to ST05, click on "Activate Trace"
    2. Open another session and execute the transaction you want to track for the tables it is going to hit.
    3. Go to the session of point 1 above and click on DEACTIVATE TRACE
    4. Click on DISPLAY Trace
This will show you all the tables that were hit while extracting data. Point to remember here is ... it will hit some standard tables as well ... so you will have to filter out what is relevant from what is not.
    Hope this helps.
    best regards,
    Kazmi
