2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um Reinitialization precautions?

hi experts,
My client is Using 0IC_C03 Inventory Cube since December 2009. they have generated Opening balance at that time and initialized the 2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um data sources and doing deltas.
but the problem is that they have deleted the Init requests from the Target cube and they wanted to analyze the data from Day 1 which is December 2009. so client wanted to delete the complete data from cube and reinitialization has to be done.
My questions are
1          is do i need to Generate the Opening Balance again for 2lis_03_bx??? or not required? if required what are the Selection Criteria i have give while filling setup tables in MCNB TCODE.
2          2lis_03_bf reinitialization Steps like i will extract the Initialize with Data transfer, what are the steps i need to perform after DTP Extraction into 0IC_C03 cube? tell me exactly how to take care of Marker Update.
3         2lis_03_UM reinitialization Steps like i will extract the Initialize with Data transfer, what are the steps i need to perform after DTP Extraction into 0IC_C03 cube?

2lis_03_bx - ECC SIDE - Do we need to select the Transfer Structure (2lis_03_bx) as well in MCNB and which Radio Buttons i have to select (only valuated stocks, All Stocks (Including non_valut), and what about Zero stock to be transferred do i need to select ?), and what about Time of termination how much i have to give??
for example - i am filling up setup tables on 01-10-2010 at 10.00.00 how much time i have to give at Time of Termination??
BW SIDE - Client has generated the Opening Balance, but when i look at the PSA Data it shows that no Data, but requests are
there.
Just now i tried in Quality System - There are 30596 records in RSA3, and after DTP extraction in the Cube there are about 50000 records and there are routines in the Transformations?? will it any problem??

Hello Experts,
I need an inventory report with following details in BW
Material doc (mseg-mblnr), Movement Type (mseg-bwart), material (mseg-matnr), valuated stock, blocked stock, quality hold, value of stock (Bseg-dbmtr).
I have installed standard infocube 0ic_c03 and it contains only higher level detail of material, plant, storage location, stocktype, stock catogery,vendor and batch.
So I am planning to add 0doc_num and movement type to the cube. when I am checking the business content delivered tranfer rules for 2lis_03_bf 0doc_num is mapped to mblnr, and in 2lis_03_um 0doc_num is mapped with belnr.
When I am checking in R/3 mseg-mbler is having only documents starting with 4 and bseg-belnr is having only documents starting with 3.
I am very confused can anyone give me the link between mseg and bseg?
Please help me it is very very urgent, i am bound to reward points

I am sorry for the confusion, I was missing basic point that 2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um are based on same communication structure mcmseg, does mblnr in 2lis_03_bf have same value as belnr in 2lis_03_um?
Can some one please give the link between 2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um?

LO Cockpit Load - 2lis_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM - some dups in 1st delta pull

Hello,
I am wondering if I might have done something incorrectly. I am new to lo cockpit and had to create a custom datastore. I did the steps below and then ran deltas from that point on. Only the first delta pull after my initial load had duplicates in it (about 2000 out of 8749 records for BF datasource). The delta job was scheduled hourly.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Steps for Loading Raw Materials from ECC to BW - 3/25/2009
1.     ECC/SRM/BW u2013 lock out users u2013 6 pm
2.     ECC - delete 03 setup tables u2013 SBIW
3.     ECC - insure all delta queues do not contain anything for 2lis_03_BF or 2LIS_03_UM
               (rsa7, SMQ1, LBWQ)
4.     ECC - Stop V3 jobs for inventory u2013 SM37 u2013 if any exist
5.     ECC u2013 fill setup tables u2013 SBIW for material movements and revaluations
                 (1085, 1101, 1103, 1104, 1200, and 1201 company codes )
6.     ECC u2013 SM37 u2013 check for RMCBNEUA (MSEG) pull and RMCBNERP (BSEG pulls)
                for successful completion
7.     BW - Run Init W/out data transfer u2013 sets delta pointer
8.     BW - Run Full Repair for 2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um datasources to ZGDMVTIM
9.             Run deltas - got 0 records
10.     ECC u2013 schedule V3 jobs using LBWE
11.     Unlock Users
on 3/27/2009 - first real delta pull occurred . Out of 8749 BF records, 2000 were duplicates. Did it have anything to do with the full repair?

These three datasources are related to inventory. BF is for opening stock, BX is for material movements and UM is valuations. Before loading this data into BW you need to maintain some settings in R/3 side.
According to SAP NOTE:315880.T-code BF11.Activate the flag NDI will reflect in table "TBE11" For the entry "NDI".
2. set the application indicator 'BW' to active using Transaction 'BF11' . which will make tick mark(x) for the field AKTIV for the APPLK ='BW' in table TBE11.
3. Activate the PROCESSKEY under "Maintain Industry Sector"
4. Generated "STOCK INITIALIZATION" for 2LIS_03_BX.
5. Filled setup tables for "INVENTORY CONTROLLING"
6. Scheduled the InfoPackage for 2LIS_03_BX with update mode "GENERATE INITIAL STATUS.
then load BF and UM
There is a PDF available how to load inventory..just search for it in SDN.

Dear Experts
We are loading data available in SAP BI from PSA level to cube 0IC_C03 from 2LIS_03_BF Data source using DTPu2019s
The data is already being loaded to 2LIS_03_BF Data source to retail cubes daily from a long time.
For our clients requirement, we have developed standard business content cube 0IC_C03.
I have transported the cube to PRD and now the issue is while running DTP
It is failing at 1250 data packet out of 2950 data packets
My question is can, I create a filter to load data using 0calmonth or plant to load all the material moments data in multiple DTPu2019s and can I compress all the requests in one go and make everything work to reconcile back with MC.9

Well, the first thing before doing anything is to find out why is it failing...
Check the DTP properties... Are you running parallel processes in the DTP and they fail to finish? Is it only one serial process and it times out? Any dumps in ST22?
Sometimes the issue is simple to fit, before you go ahead and make changes like this where you'll have good probabilities of locking processes while trying to write at the same time to the same tables...
Just a suggestion...

Stock using AFS (2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF)

Hi,
I have enhanced 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM extractors with AFS-specific fields, according to note 458676.
But the note do not enhance 2LIS_03_BX with AFS-specific fields.

Can I use 2LIS_03_BX to do opening stock balance to enhanced BF extractor?
(must I enhance BX? )

You must check if the new fields are required for the initial inventory....try toload and check....

2LIS_03 Extractors for new Plant and Company Code

Hi Gurus,
I would like to seek for your help regarding 2lis_03 inventory extractors.
- May I know the sequence of initialization for 2lis_03_bx, 2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um? How about the dependencies of each?
- How about if there are new Company Code or Plant to 2LIS_03_UM, should I do the reinitialize again of the 3 extractors? or the delta would take all the new records regardless of the plants that were maintained from the first init?

Please have a look at Re-initialization of the Material Stocks/Movements cube (0IC_C03) with 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_UM in BW 7.x.
Reinitialization is not necessary if you did not enter any plants or company codes explicitly in the selection criteria.

Storage location,Stocktype,Batch no for 2lis_03_um

hi experts,
We have recently extracted Inventory Data from ECC to BW System, and client was reconciling the data in 0IC_C03.
we have extracted from 2lis_03_bx,2lis_03_bf and 2lis_03_um.
and for the Valuations which 2LIS_03_UM-->0IC_C03 client is saying that there is no Storage Location, Stocktype, Batch number.There is no "storage location" for valuations, this means that if you search on a storage location you will miss price changes. so we need storage location to be filled out in the cube.
The same goes for batch number, stock type and Base Unit of measure.
What is the solution to achieve this? Last month only we have initialized the data and delta loads are happening everyday.
instead of enhancing the data source can we change in the Transformations level to get Storage location,Stocktype,Batch number and 0BASE_UOM.
if i have to enhance the data source do i need to take downtime and Initialize the delta again.
please provide me the solution..

Cost of Goods Sold and Inventory Value

I am looking to setup KPI for Inventory Turns in BI. This needs "Cost of Goods Sold" and "Inventory Value" for Orders for a Plant.
I wanted to know if this information is directly available in any standard extract or do I need to write a Custom Extract for this. I did try searching for this but not able to find this information directly. Do I need to derive the information from some other Key Figures?

COGS Value we are getting for the COGS GL Account from FIGL. We are using the extract 0FI_GL_4 and then from the DSO 0FIGL_O02
Inventory value we are taking from the Cube 0IC_C03. Please note that the Transformations to the DataSource 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM are available in the latest Patch 11 for BI Content 703 and should be used instead of the old Transfer Rule/Update Rule.

We dont want to include these fields Document No. and Order number. in existing InfoCube because of performance reason.
Could you tell me how we can implement such a scenario?

Serialized v3 update and setuptables

i have 2 questions regarding LO extraction
Question 1.
while going thru the Lo cockpit step by step
i found there is a certain point where we select serialized v3 update for an initilize delta load. As per my knowledge, i read that serialised v3 is not used any more and is replaced by direct,queued and unserialized v3 update prcocess. if i am wrong where can we find the option to select serialized v3 update in LO cokcpit.
Question 2
when i tried to delete the setup table , the message shown Setup table deleted but i can see data for the same module in RSA3 after the process...hows is it possible.
i appreciate if anyone can reply me and points will be assigned for suitable answers..

Follow the following steps
Q1. In transaction LBWG there is an option to change the V3 delta to "Direct Delta". This should solve the problem. Make sure that the Queue is empty or else you willl not be able to change
Q2. Make sure that you are selecting the right application hen you delete the data. Follow the follwing steps for filling the setup tables and seeing data in RSA3
Run T-code MCNB for 2LIS_03_BX setup
Run SETUP for 2LIS_03_BF AND 2LIS_03_UM using TCodes OLI1BW and OLIZBW respectively.

Missing: RSDS 2LIS_03_BF from Content

When activating from BI_CONT the cube 0IC_C03 some content is missing. It came with the Transformations and DataSources of:
RSDS 2LIS_03_BX -> TRCS 2LIS_03_BX_TR
But is missing the ones:
RSDS 2LIS_03_BF -> TRCS 2LIS_03_BF_TR
RSDS 2LIS_03_UM -> TRCS 2LIS_03_UM_TR
Therefore the loading cannot be completed.
Has anyone enountered such issue?

1.Install DataSources in RSA5 in ECC.
2.Check and configure it in RSA6 and LBWE in ECC.
3. Replicate it in BW.
4. Install 0IC_C03 and InfoSources and TransferRules related to 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM and then create InfoPackages in BW.
5. Fill Setup tables in ECC and then Load Data.
Use 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_UM to 0IC_C03 Cube and design the report.
Use :See the steps how to load the data to 0IC_C03.

If it is BI 7 then for BX in in DTP in Extraction Tab you need to select Extacrion mode = NON-Cumulative option.

0. Delete previous data: TC lbwg, application 03.
1. Delete Queue in LBWQ/SMQ1 related to 03.
2. Lock the system, don't allow any transactions from Users.
3. Stock initialization: TC MCNB, structure 2lis_03_bx. (Here Select All Stocks(Including Non-Valuated)).
4. Statistical setup of mat movements: TC OLI1BW or sbiw path
5. Statistical setup of mat movements: TC OLIZBW or sbiw path for 2LIS_03_UM load.
In BI
0. Load initial stock: datasource 2lis_03_bx using InfoPackage and then Run DTP with the following options.
In DTP: Extraction Tab--->Extraction Mode = Initial Non-Cumulative for Non-Cumulative..select this and then Execute.
1. Cube>Manage>Collaps-->Don't select "No Marker Updating indicator" and then compress.
2. Load 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM Initial runs using InfoPackages and then Cube>Manage>Collaps-->Select "No Marker Updating indicator" and then compress.
Now check the data with MB5B In ECC and recon data with Report on 0IC_C03 Cube.
