2LIS_03_UM  Revaluations

I need some assistance with the Material Stocks/Movements Cube (0IC_C03). We initialized deltas and compressed 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_BX on 5/6/07 and have been loading and compressing deltas for 2LIS_03_BF daily since. Now due to material revaluation since 5/6/07, I need to setup 2LIS_03_UM to load the revaluations. Here’s what I am not sure of:
1. Can 2LIS_03_UM be initialized and loaded into the cube at this time or do I have to start from scratch and initialize all three InfoSources at the same time?
2. If it can be initialized at this time, do I run the setup tables for everything (no date range) or from the date (5/6/07) that the other InfoSources were initialized?
3. Does the initialization request for 2LIS_03_UM have to be compressed immediately?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Craig

Hi,
It's possible to initialize Revaulations at a later date. Need to perform the set-up job from day-one and then load the data into BW followed by compression without marker update. Performance would be optimal if you compress the data.
Hope this helps.

  • After enhancing 2LIS_03_UM (Revaluations) do we have to run Initialization for 2LIS_03_BX & 2LIS_03_BF also??? is there any dependency among these 3 Datasources.

Dear SAP BI/BW Gurus & Masters,
I have a urgent requirement to Enhance the data source/Extractor of 2LIS_03_UM (Revaluations), with 1 field. This is OK... I will do enhancement!
Here is the Next problem... After enhancing this UM, do we need to perform INIT Run (initialization for source system) for 2LIS_03_BX & 2LIS_03_BF along with 2LIS_03_UM? Or Only this enhanced 2LIS_03_UM INIT run will do for next deltas?
Because I think there is a inter dependency within these 3 data sources. change of 1 among this 3 will affect others. Correct me if I wrong.
Kindly explain me following, if there is a dependency.
Case 1: what & how to proceed, if I want historical data for newly enhanced field.
Case 2: how if do not want historical data for newly enhanced field.
Kindly help me, do not hesitate to ask clarification or to make a statement.
    Thanks,

This DataSource only describes financial accounting processes, not logistical ones. In

  • Regarding Non cumulative key figure

    Hi Friends,
While we are doing Inventory mgmt we use three data sources.
    1) 2LIS_02_BX -  why it is used?
( As far my knowledge is concerned This is Used to extract an opening stock balancce means when ever we are implementing the inventory for client then we need to load the historical data )
2)2lis_02_BF - why is it used?
(It is used for material movements How it can be used.I studied some where this is also used for material movement how is this discriminate from above data source)
3)2LIS_02_UM - Why is it used?
    Are we using really?
    Please explain me?

    hi,
MM is the msot important module. - this includes - purchasing - inventory - invoice verification.
All data in r3 will get extracted through various data sources. now most of the data sources were from LO extraction .
chkout in LBWE of R3 for all the application you can find the related data sources.

    hi,
for the standard datasources chk in LBWE with the applications like inventory.
    1. Stock Initialization for Inventory Management
    Technical name: 2LIS_03_BX
    Refer
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/ed/16c29a27db6e4d81a015be8673eb80/frameset.htm
    2. Material Movements from Inventory Management
    Technical name: 2LIS_03_BF
    Refer
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/05/c69480c357354a8846cc61f7b6e085/frameset.htm
    3..Revaluations in Inventory Management
    Technical name: 2LIS_03_UM
    Refer
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/06/1326de922c2743bc7597d2c0afa23e/frameset.htm
In the above links see the table for Fields of Origin in the Extraction Structure. It will tell you this data.
    2LIS_03_BX- Initial Stock/Material stock
    2LIS_03_BF - Material movements
2LIS_03_UM - Revaluations/Find the price of the stock
The first DataSource (2LIS_03_BX) is used to extract an opening stock balance on a
detailed level (material, plant, storage location and so on). At this moment, the opening
stock is the operative stock in the source system. "At this moment" is the point in time at
which the statistical setup ran for DataSource 2LIS_03_BX. (This is because no
documents are to be posted during this run and so the stock does not change during this
run, as we will see below). It is not possible to choose a key date freely.
The second DataSource (2LIS_03_BF) is used to extract the material movements into
the BW system. This DataSource provides the data as material documents (MCMSEG
    structure).
The third of the above DataSources (2LIS_03_UM) contains data from valuated
revaluations in Financial Accounting (document BSEG). This data is required to update
valuated stock changes for the calculated stock balance in the BW. This information is
not required in many situations as it is often only the quantities that are of importance.
This DataSource only describes financial accounting processes, not logistical ones. In
other words, only the stock value is changed here, no changes are made to the
quantities. Everything that is subsequently mentioned here about the upload sequence
and compression regarding DataSource 2LIS_03_BF also applies to this DataSource.
This means a detailed description is not required for the revaluation DataSource.

  • Setup tables Inventory Management

    Hi,
I want to fill setup table for BX via tcode MCNB (in R/3).
Can I start with the setup table for BF using tcode OLI1BW parallel or I have to wait till the job RMCBINIT_BW (tcode MCNB)
    is finished!
Same question for UM: Can I start the setup table for UM (tcode OLIZBW) parallel with the job RMCBNEUA (tcode OLI1BW)
or I have to wait till the job RMCBNEUA is finished!
Is there any possibilty to enter more company codes for the setup table for UM (tcode OLIZBW) as we have 120 company codes
Or I have to plan the job for each company code separtely.
Moreover I will load data (first opening balance, movement, revalaution) into BW when the setup tables are filled on R/3 side.
    Is it ok?
    Thanks for the answer.

    Hello Moha,
    Yes, Venkat, is right.
    This is the order
    2LIS_03_BX3 Material stock (Parallel)
2LIS_03_BF Material movements (Parallel or with UM)
    2LIS_03_UM Revaluations

  • Stock in Inventory

    Hello Experts,
How can i calculate stock in inventory using 0IC_C03? Why do i need to use all the extractors 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_UM and 2LIS_03_BX or 2LIS_40_S278 to calculate stock in the inventory? What will happen if i use only 2LIS_03_BF to calculate the stock?
What is the difference between these LIS extractors and 0CO_PC (example 0CO_PC_ACT_03...) ? Can i calculate stock in inventory even using 0CO_PC extractors?
I appreciate ur quick reply and will surely reward points
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Bf is useful to get the material movements. the movements are determined by the movement type field. based on the movement type the material quantity will be treated as debit or credit. this will help us in getting the invetory positions at a particular point.
um data is picked from fi tables to get Map i.e is moving average price and prices determined or reflected in  the fi tables.this is to valuate tha stocks.
