i have a query regarding Updation of records.
my scenario is as follows
I am using 2lis_11_vaitm as a info source for the following data targets
1. ZOVAITM [ODS], After extracting the data, i could see under Request tab [Transferred Records 656 and Added Records 656]
2. 0SD_O01 [Order Item ODS], After extracting the data, i could see under Request tab [Transferred Records 656 and Added Records 582]
3. 0SD_O02 [Return Items ODS],After extracting the data, i could see under Request tab [Transferred Records 656 and Added Records 48]
For these 3 ODS the key fields are same ie. 0DOC_NUMBER and 0S_ORD_ITEM, where as the number of added records are differing. Now my question is where is the restriction taking place? i checked in update rules and info package Data Selection TAB, i couldnt find anything. i want to know where the bifurcation taking place? any tables? routines? hope my question is clear if someone knows this answer plz let me know. this will make my task very easy..Thanks

Hi,
0SD_O01 is the ODS for Orders only. So it maintains the Documents of type ORDER or ORDER w/o Charge.
0SD_O02 is the ODS for Returns only. So it maintains the Documents of type RETURN or Credit memo.
And your ZODS holds all the data irrespetive of the Document category.
So that you are getting variation in no of records added to ODS.

Hello Gurus.
I'm using extractor 2lis_11_VAITM, when I test the extractor in RSA3, it is bringing me all registers of table VBAP, but when I load this extractor into an ODS in BW, It is not inserting all registers into the cube, some "return orders" are missing, how can i solved this problem ???? I'm using in ODS key Doc number and position.

Hi Sudheer, ther is no selections during data load, and also ther isn't any routine(either in transfer or update rules). It's supposed that all registers have to be loaded to the ODS no ?? because i'm using key Doc number and positions, so I want all documents with all positions to be loaded, but this is not happening, there are missing the "'return orders'".
Any other idea of why this is happening ??

No data in RSA3 for 2lis_11_vaitm

I am testing the extractor 2lis_11_vaitm and there is no data in RSA3. i have checked the sales orders and there is data. please let me know what the problem may be.

Emil,
Here are the steps.
1) Use transaction LBWG to delete the contents of the setup table for application 11.
2) Use transaction OLI7BW to perform the statistical setup of sales documents (make sure to block all orders).
3) While setup job is running, use transaction SA38 to run progrm RMBWV311. This will move the V3 updates to the delta queue so as not to double up this data.
4) Now in RSA3, execute the 2LIS_11_VAITM datasource.

No data in RSA3 for 2LIS_11_VAITM and 2LIS_11_VAHDR

hello experts,
i want to extract data from 2LIS_11_VAHDR and 2LIS_11_VAITM but dont see any data in RSA3.
I have already activated the datasource in RSA5 and LBWE. After running the setup tables using OLI7BW i still dont see any data in RSA3.
Pls advice... is there something i am missing?

Use SE16 and verify that there is data in the MC11VA0HDRSETUP table. If there is no data, then your setup tables were not updated (or the setup extracted no records).
In RSA3, make sure you select Update Mode of "C" or "F". This will check data from the setup tables.

Error while filling the set up table for 2LIS_11_VAITM

Dear Experts,
i am facing an error while filling the set up table for 2LIS_11_VAITM in the source system.
The error was "Company code for sales org 9000 does not exist (document 1326)".
when i checked the document in the Header table VBAK,company code was blank for the document .
Company code was there in the selections for the setup table.
The error means that company code should be maintained for the sales document as per my knolwedge.i think document was not created properly in the source system.
Could you please help me out to over come the problem.

in the selection screen for filling the setup table, there is a parameter No. tolerated faulty documents
you'll have to enter at least '1' here in your case
it might be that there are other erronuous records, in that case it will crash again, and you'll have to increase the value for this parameter
(under "normal" circumstances, all documents in the source should be correct... but apparently it's possible to circumvent this)

Pls. let me know how can i exclude this document number in OLI7BW.

Hi,
I think there is no option to exclude the documents from the selection. I have a small suggestion,not sure whether it works .There is a field 'No. tolerated faulty documents' .You can enter some no here and try that again. If still you get the problem, ask the functional consultant to correct the document.

Problem in Sequence of loads to BI from 2LIS_11_VAITM

Dear Experts,
We are facing issue in the data loaded from 2LIS_11_VAITM to a write optimized DSO. Data records loaded from the PSA to the DSO is not in the same sequence as they are present in the PSA. Please find below the details with an example.
Data present in the PSA as below.
Data Record     | Cancel. Ind     | Sales Order |Item     |Material     |Order Qty
1     |     |1000     |10     |201                  |10
10     |X     |1000     |10     |201                  |-10
11     |     |1000     |10     |205                  |10
In the above sales Order, the material no. is posted as 201 and then later it was changed to 205 in the same day. Hence there are 3-records for the same order and item.
The same data when loaded to the write optimised DSO, the sequence is changed as follows.
Record no. |     0RECORMODE |Sales Order |Item     |Material     |Order Qty
1     |        |1000        |10     |205     |10
2     |        |1000        |10     |201     |10
3     |X        |1000        |10     |201     |-10
When we load this data to a standard DSO with key fields as Sales Order and Item, the record which we are getting is with the material 201 as below.

Now the basic problem is with the sequence change while loading from the PSA. This is a simple example with the change in the material. Similar to material, there are some other fields which are also changing which results to the same kind of situation.
Kindly help us in resolving this issue. Please get back for any further details.

Negative values in the sense those all are Image values. suppose if you see you total amount for one month in BI same check with your source it will match. when you will get negative values for perticular doc or material when you willl change the doc original value then it will reflect.

It says in R/3 Start of Processing, I ticked to continue and its still running.
In the mean time I checked RSA3 and it says 1007 records selected. I am refreshing it and the no. of records are still the same.
Can you tell me how long it takes to fill the table?
And the R/3 system is still running (Start of Processing)

Sales Report problem with 2LIS_11_VAHDR, 2LIS_11_VAITM and other DS

Hi Experts,
I need your help in following topic. I have a requirement to build a big (overall) sales report in BI (NW2004s).
I would like to use BI Content because I'm running out of time and try to use all preconfigured stuff if possible.
In the requirement a bunch of fields of different SD DataSources are used (mostly 2LIS_11_VAHDR and 2LIS_11_VAITM but also some fields of other Datasources).
In SE16 I know how to locate all the field in the tables VBAK, VBAP, KNA1, VBKD,
LIKP, VBRK and of course some texts. Some fields could already be located by me, others couldn't even be found in BI.
The difficulty I have is to bring all the DataSources together so that the data is displayed correct - even if there are redundant parts.
For example:
For sales orders the doc no, sales org, distr. channel (and a lot of other header data) should be displayed in each line together with item data such as item no., material code, quantity (and a lot of other item data). If an order has multiple items each item should be diplayed in one row in the report.
In the Query the report should look like a common table (e.g. as in an ALV Grid if you model a query with SQ01) --> a lot of columns.
I'm not sure if I should use one big DSO with multiple InfoSources or if I should create a MultiCube and add the BI DSOs 0SD_O03 (Orders) and 0SD_O01(Order Items).
I know this is a very common requirement in SD. Do you know how to combine the most common SD datasources that no issues come up?

Hi Horst,
Reporting on ODS / DSo is slow. I'm here at a cleint where we have lots of reports on SD_O01 and SD_O03. The best way to have good query performance is to build cubes on top of your ODS. Build a sales cube on top of SD_O03 with all fields and a billing cube on top of SD_O01. Load the data from your ODS to your new cubes. Then create a multipovider on top of both cubes, identify the keyfigures and characteristics required for your queries. Build the queries on top of the multiprovider.
You can display all items of a bill in one row if you choose drill-across for the irems in the query, instead of drill-down. So it looks for a standard SD report.

2LIS_11_VAITM - Deleted Line Items

I am having an issue with sales order line items that have been deleted.
I load my data using 2LIS_11_VAITM into a DSO EDW Layer. I then pass this up to another DSO layer. I noticed that users were deleting line items from Orders and this was causing me an issue in my data. To remove the problem I have linked ROCANCEL to 0RECORDMODE in the Technical rule up to my EDW layer and now in my EDW layer the line item goes completely when it is deleted out of the ERP system ad the deletion is passed into BW.
I got the idea for this from here Deleted line item appears in BI report
My problem lies in the layer above where I am still left with a line in the DSO relating to the deleted line. But the KF are zero. Is there anyway to also get this line to be deleted out as per my EDW layer?

Hi Joel,
What is not completely clear to me is what happens in the first DSO. Are the deleted records removed from the active table or are the key figures set to 0?
Furthermore, what is update rule for key figures: overwrite or addition (in the transformation to both DSOs)?
The record mode is indeed the crucial factor. It must become clear which one is delivered by the DataSource: 'R' for a reversed record or a 'D' for an entire deletion? And what is the record mode in the update to second DSO?

2LIS_11_VAITM delta extraction missing line items

I'm having a bit of troubles with the 2LIS_11_VAITM extractor. We've been using this extractor for some time now to do daily delta loads and it seems to work fine 99% of the time, but recently we noticed a few orders here and there from the last 7 months that were missing line items. If a full repair load is done now on these orders, we are able to extract the missing line items. This seems to suggest that for some reason the R3 delta job is not processing these line items or not picking up changes to these line items when they occur. I've found a few notes that seem to apply, but wanted to know if anyone else had this problem before.
This extractor feeds into a custom ODS, but no records should be dropped since there are only straight mappings in the update rules and transfer rules and no start routines used.

I feel it would be better to check first for these records in PSA table. If the records are there in PSA but not there in ODS . Check the value for the field 0STORNO(ROCANCEL) in all those records.
IF the field ROCANCEL does not has value R or D , then you can think about REPAIR request.

How to use the RV_EXPORT_CONTROL function (via 2LIS_11_VAITM extractor)

Hi guys,
I use the 2LIS_11_VAITM extractor to load R/3 data to BW.
On this extractor, there is an user exit which filled many fields.
I have to add the export control status of items, the value we can find in VA03 (Extras -> Export Licence -> Log -> Status green or Red).
I added a specific fields ZZEEXPCTRL (CHAR(1)) in my extraction structure as a field only know in Customer exit.
This flag will be empty if status is green or 'X' if status is red.
I'll try to use the RV_EXPORT_CONTROL function in my exit but it doesn't work.
When I execute in debug the 2LIS_11_VAITM extractor in RSA3, I can display the screen we have in VA03 (Extras -> Export Licence -> Log -> Status green or Red).
Maybe I use the bad parameters ?? But I tried many option, without result
Could you please help me and explain me how to use this function to have my result or if there is another way to do this ?

Hi Namrata and Debjani,
Thank you for your suggestion. We are considering those options as well.
However, we are trying to aim for consistency between the "old" and the upgraded system. Therefore we are trying to find whether it is all possible to remove those two fields. If it is not possible at all to remove them, then we will do what you both suggested.

Manual loading of 2lis_11_vaitm

HI all,
I have downloaded the base tables of 2lis_11_vaitm data source namely VBAK, VBAP, VBUP, VBKD into 4 excel files (small size tables data...). Now I have to upload into BW manually to 2lis_11_vaitm business content datasource.
what is the best way to do it and match data like the extract structure?
(I could not do automatic extraction )

Hi,
I think it is not possible to load data to 2lis_11_vaitm. U can copy this standard data source structure and load .
If u want to load the data from all these tables best way is function module extractor.
The standard function module for extraction is RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE. U Have to find the logic how these tables are related and updated functionally.Then implement the logic to get same data as 2lis_11_vaitm.
