2LIS Structure

Dear All,
I enhanced a 2LIS_02_ITM extractor in DEV to populate an additional fiels. I performed the LO steps by deleting and filling the setup table. Load data and tested without any issue. I then moved the transport to QA environment. Now in QA, the datasource is retuning o record in BW and RSA3 whereas the table has records. My question is do I need to do the LO steps again in QA environment in other to load data?

One more point, while performing the activity in Production system please take proper down time and load the setup tables again too in Production system.

SMQ1 DESTINATION NONE for 2LIS-Structurs 03, 11, 12, 13

Hi,
we are trying to extract deltas for the 2LIS-Structurs 03, 11, 12, 13. The init load has already work fine. But the delta doesnt work. We checked SMQ1 and the entries for the destinations are "NONE".
We tried the same for the 2LIS_02_HDR/ITM/SCL and the entries for the destination is the BW-System and the delta works.
What is wrong with the 2LIS-Structurs 03, 11, 12, 13?

Hi,
do you see entries in MCEX03 (resp the others) and not in BWCLNT2LIS_03_BF?
This means that you have to schedule the collective update job for this application;
Goto LBWE with 03 (resp the other appl) and hit the job control; maintain print params (even dummies with LOCL) and then schedule your job on a regular basis in order to pass your outboundQ changes to the BW delta Q.
After one run you should see already LUWs in SMQ1 under your application; then RSA7 will show you the data.

Risk analysis when integrating 2 R/3 systems

Hello experts,
In my existing scenerio I have a R/3 system connected to BW.
Due to project requirements there is going to be one more R/3 system(running system) merging with my existing R/3 system.
Please let me know the risk analysis on the following cases:
1) If their are existing structures(like 2LIS Structures) running in both the systems what will be the effect when we try to merge.
2) One of the system as a LIS datasource in 7.0 version in BW and other in 3.5 . So what is the effect after the merging?

Hi there, as you already depicted: most of problem will be with regard of same DataSources and LIS DataSources. Here you have to consider how both R/3 will be integrated. Either you will have 2 different clients or it will b emerged into one client.
In both case you gave to adjust data flow. In first case you have to differentiate between data origin - clients. In 2nd case all the data will be of same origin...
Regarding different version of data flows (3.x / 7.x) most likely it is the right time to aligned them to 7.x style.
But this is topic can be approached a lot of different directions.

There is standard query with BI Content for Incoming Orders Analysis, but i like to go for my own report with less number of fields.
These are the SAP r/3 tables with fields which i like to make use of,
1.VBAK (VKORG, VTWEG, SPART, VBELN, AUART, VBTYP, ERDAT, AUDAT, ERNM, KUNNR, VDATU)
2.VBAP (VBELN, POSNR, NETWR)
3.VBEP (VBELN, EDATU)
4.VBUK (VBELN, GBSTK)
5. VBUP (VBELN, POSNR, GBSTA)
I found the corresponding InfoObjects for all, my questions:
1. Do i have to create only one InfoStructure(LIS) for all?
2. Any guideline which to decide as Characterstics and which as keyfigures?
3.Do i have to perform any transfer rule for any of field if you have idea?

Hi,
I would like to suggest you one thing. First of all, go through the standard datasources linked in your infosource. If you get all the objects in them, that's fine (hoping that you already have the infrastructure). Else you need to perform all common tasks. You will have the feilds required by you in 2LIS structures.
Comming to the point of query, do 'save as' the standard query and reduce the no. of fields.

Addition of new field in the lis standard structure

I want to bring a new field which is available in the standard structre of 2lis. By bringthis, i have to fill the set up table , so that this can be brought to the PSA. Since my PSA, ODS has already got data, i don't want to run the set up table. Do we have any user exit to fill the data for all new records as well as old records.

Tell me one thing, is that new field you have added in the Append Structure ? I mean have you done the enhancement.....
or is the field already existing the datasource.....but not mapped in the DSO level....and now you have added the new characteristic in the DSO.....and just want tol fill that field....
If the second case is true and the data for that field already exists in the DSO.........then you can just delete the data from the DSO and do a Full repair from the PSA......
If the first case is true that you have done the enhancement....then it means that PSA doesn't contain the data for the new field.........in that case there is no other alternatives........you have to fill the SEt Up table ...

dear all,
structure MC02M_0ITM comes from extractor 2lis_02_itm and by using rsa3 i can browse the 2lis extractor... but is there a way to browse a structure for MC02M_0ITM?
or structure cant be browse at all?

What do you mean by browse?
You can look at the structure in RSA5 (content). (2LIS_02_ITM)
RSA6, activated and enhanced. (2LIS_02_ITM)
LBWE, for all available fields. (2LIS_02_ITM)
SE11/SE16 - MC02M_0ITM.

LIS Info Structure with table MKPF/MSEG

Hi Gurus,
I have a view made up of table MKPF/MSEG (74 fields in totals). Based on my requirement (loading archived and non archived marerial movements data) I am looking to create an Info structure with the same 74 fields - to connect the LIS infostructures to BW.
I need to create a char. as KF fields catalog.
my issue is while doing that I am not able to have the 74 fields I am looking for (I am just getting around 50).
I know how to create an Infostructure/ Catalogue (Transaction MC21/MC18)
Any Idea how to Create an Info Structure that would have all the fields from table MKPF and MSEG?

How to use one Account dimension for multiple account structures

We are implementing a HFM application to replace two general ledger applications, one being Corporate and the other a new subsidiary. We need to maintain both of the chart of accounts and their unique rollup structures. We are facing the difficulty in attempting to combine the two chart of accounts into one HFM Account Dimension because a few of the subsidiary accounts have the same account numbers but they are meant different things.
Question:
How can we set up two distinct account structures in HFM and also have the subsidiary accounts rolled into the Corporate accounts for consolidation reporting?

Message: "The database structure has been modified" every time I log to SAP

Hello,
"The database structure has been modified. In order to resume this process, all open windows will be closed". Every time I log to one of my companies in SAP Business One this message appears.
I haven't installed any new addons and made no changes in database structure (and any other user hasn't done any changes), but this message appears always when I log to company for the first time (when I try to log on another user or log to another company there is no message). Can anyone help me with this problem?

Transfer structure

Hi All
i have to create a transfer structure.
in dso and cube i have 27 fields.
but in tranfer structure it is showing 50 fields.
i have to select the 27 fields out of 50 or i have to activate 50 fields in transfer structure.

Hi,
Basically when creating the transfer structure you need to map the transfer structure fields with the ODS/Cube fields that are present in the communication structure.
You just need to Transfer the fields, that you have identified in Data source to the transfer structure and map the relevant fields in the Transfer structure.
Once the mapping is done. Just activate the Transfer structure.
Most importatnt would be to decide on the mapping between data source and Communication structure fields.

Structures are great if you understand them, they are
basically just arrays organized by keywords rather than index
numbers.
Arrays are very nice, as you can just run through loops to
access each element, as they are all indexed by numbers 0-x.
loops are great to navigate through both. All you have to do
is set an loop to run through x amount of iterations of the array
or structure (where x is the length of the array, or number of
elements in the structure). Loops are great due to the small amount
of code they require.

How do I move photos in a Smart Collection and keep folder structure?

HI there I am on a trial of Lightroom and loving it so far. One seemingly simple task I would like to try out is moving all my RAW files (which are all mixed up with JPGs and PSDs to a new location and keep the current folder structure.
Currently I have files strcutured like this: <main disk>\<year>\<month>\<filename>.cr2 and I would like to move these to <different disk>\<year>\<month>\<filename>.cr2
The Export functions look as if they will put them all in to one big folder? Any ideas?

There are several approaches to this problem. You could do this via the Folders panel in LR. You can do just about everything in the Folders panel that you can do in Explorer or Finder. Just create folder and drag and drop.
Another way is to do this outside LR use Explorer (Windows) or FInder (Mac). after you're done then go back into LR and tell LR where to find the moved files. Depending on how many you have this could be a bit tedious.
Another method is to choose the files you want then Export them as a Catalog. When you do this be sure to include the option to export the negatives. Point the new catalog at you other drive. It will recreate the folder structure during the export. Then remove the images from your present catalog. Don't delete from disk just remove. Now import from catalog and choose the newly exported catalog. This time choose the option to add the files without moving them. Once you are sure everything is back and is fine you can use Explorer or Finder to go into your original file structure and delete the files that were moved to the new drive. Be careful to only choose the moved files. If you are separating the RAWs out this should be relatively easy.
