2mb/s - is there anything I can do to speed this u...

Hi all, basically my broadband is much slower than I expected it to be. On BT's site they can give you an estimate - my postcode gives about 17 mb/s (+/- 2 mb) yet after a few days of having the new phone line & broadband installed my speeds dropped from over 10 mb/s (can't remember exactly but it was good) to just over 2 mb/s. I've noticed a lot of people have had similar problems. I've tried all the usual stuff - wired connection test, using test socket, new filter, changing router location - no significant differences. I was just wondering if anyone who knows a bit more than I do might be able to point me in the right direction as to what I could do (if anything!) to improve my speed.

can you go back to adsl stats page and 'show detail' and post rest of errors.  with your attenuation of 35 it suggests you line length from the exchange is 2.5km
can you conenct to test socket and repost your stats please. once conencted to tes socket you need to leaveit conencted 24/7 as allyour resets as you try different things are certainly not helping your conenction
