2nd Gen iPod Touch not syncing music album info properly.

Question

It's more of a annoyance than anything but in iTunes the music album information is correct but on the iPod Touch it's not. For instance the album ChangesBowie by David Bowie shows it as such in iTunes. However on the Touch it shows the artists as "Various Artists". When I look at the info in iTunes it's correct on the Music listing for both the Library and iPod sections.
How do I correct this? There's a half dozen or so like this. All of them were imported into iTunes from the CD's I own.

If you look in iTunes, I bet you'll see the Album Artist is "Various Artists" (Album Artist is a separate field from Artist). If Album Artist is not displayed in your library, right-click on any of the column headers and select Album Artist. That will reveal what's in this field for each song.

In iTunes, select all songs on the album then right-click and select "Get Info" (or simply press Ctrl-I). You'll see a window that shows the "tags" for the songs. There you'll see the Album Artist field underneath the Artist field. If Album Artist is not "David Bowie" then change it to David Bowie (or blank it out). Also, you should see an "Options" tab at the top edge of the window. Select that and you'll see the "Part of a Compilation" setting. If it is "Yes" then change it. You'll see this flag set to Yes incorrectly on several albums, mostly "Best Of" type albums which are not really Compilations but that's how they're tagged in the Gracenote CDDB database where iTunes gets its tag info.
