I will like to know if is a web site that we can donwload free plugins for final cut pro. I found some web sites but they jave some samples but when you loud these to final cut pro it will have the name of the company that sell it or is will say Exanple or Trila versiona a cross the screen.

I keep getting a "missing plugin" for midi and mp3 files.

I keep getting a "missing plugin" for midi and mp3 files I want to listen to online. These are Hymn files. And I get a message telling me I have a missing plugin. Any ideas?

My husband used to be able to convert ABC files to MIDI files . This allows sheet music to be played on the computer so as to learn a tune. We get the Missing Plug in message.
I downloaded the Quicktime 7. I open Quick time, Still get the message. What is the solution?

Writing plugins for Eclipse and Carbide.c++...

I'm writing a context menu plugin for eclipse and carbide.c++, which opens a google search for the words selected by the user, in a new browser window. In eclipse, this is done perfectly... but in carbide I get the message "This operation is currently not available." Any ideas why?
Also, i have both text editors' context menus covered in my xml file for eclipse by #TextEditorContext and #CompilationUnitEditorContext - but this is useless in carbide for .cpp, .h, .hrh, .rss and .rls files. since these make up most of a project, i need them covered by my plugin. Anyone know what viewercontribution target id(s) i need to reference?

I don’t know much about any decent plugins for Illustrator, however I sometimes make graphs using Microftsoft Word then export/copy into Illustrator, then manipulate within illustrator if needed, not used Apples Numbers or other free software as yet to make any comment, but I do get satisfactory results from using Word.

there is no official app for sharing pics with i device to i device but there is a rumour that you can do it from an app called ibluenova.

They are covered by the same 1-year warranty that covers the iPod. If defective and not abused Apple will exchange them at no cost. I think when you say charger yo mean cable since the iPod does not come with a wall charger

The controller option is a bit more expensive, but performance-wise, i understand its better. I tried to find areca, but they are not sold in Romania, and i need the warranty, so i cannot order from abroad. US prices are better, but when it comes in my country, i have to pay VAT wich in the end adds up to more then its worth at prices locally.
I tried to find in the user guide of the controller if i can add hdds to the array without formatting, so i could buy at first just 4 hdds and then add as i make the budget available.
First and foremost worry i have is that wthout the controller i have sata 3, and a 6 tb capacity with 4 hdds, rather than a 8 tb in a 9 hdd array... kind'ov expensive for the number of hdds... If i would add 2tb hdds to the array, it would be way over budget....
Total budget would be around 2800-2900 Euro...
I would like some opinions on the build if you have the time.

New/Updated free plugins for FCE

A couple of new plugins are available for free in my Final Cut Express/Pro Effects and others have been improved in their use of alpha channel, composition methods, and precision in object sizing (both new and updated plugins have a NEW flag in my welcome page).
In addition I added a set of (well so far only 3) plugins I labeled "toolbox": they do not really help in editing, but help in understanding how editing works:
- Channels displays selected color channels (either RGB or YUV) including alpha channel
- +Field Selector+ displays selected fields of each frame (either field 1 or 2 or both... side by side): it turned out to be a very valuable fxscript debugging tool
- +Value Tester+ displays values of selected fxscript variables: quite cryptic for non fxscript programmers...
Among the "standard" plugins a new entry exists: +Make Transparent+. This is quite simple and useful when applied to the masks made available by FCE (e.g. the generators in the Render or the Shapes bin).
+Make Transparent+ simply changes the white areas in the selected mask into transparent areas and black areas into opaque areas (or viceversa). The mask with the Make Transparent filter now may be simply superimposed to the clip... see the examples in my web page.
I hope these are also useful to my friends in this forum.

Java plugin for Firefox and Chromium just not working

I have been suffering with the IcedTea-Web for a while now. My banking service (in their stroke of genius) use java on there online service. So a problamatic plugin means that I am not able to use the website while on Linux.
The issue is not specific to the bank's website. Doing the following is also problematic:
1. Go to www.java.com
2. Click on "Do I have Java?"
3. Click on Verify Java Version
4. Chromium does nothing after setp 3, Firefox has a small notification (bottom corner) saying Applet Started but nothign really happens (waited for 20min).
Searching the Forums, showed people with similar problems with an older plugin. An idea I did get was to use the latest branch and compile it. So I changed the PKGBUILD to download the latest using:

Please can anyone suggest me a way to overcome this issue. Currentely I have to use VirtualBox to run a browser in Windows (very very painful)!
A while back I did contact the bank, informing them of the issue was met with a simple "We dont support Linux".

While they make their apps for mobile devices, they also have everything online in their web site. It normally requires an account, for a fee (there are also free basic accounts with limited features). There is nothing to download as far as I can see.
What *****, IMO, is it seems you have to actually sign up for a free account to even see their fees for the full accounts - a horrible and cheesy marketing ploy as far as I'm concerned. Any truly honest business should post their fees up front and easily found by anyone interested.
Even the iPhone app is free, but requires a free account creation to use, and then a for fee account to unlock "full" features.

Trouble installing plugins for CS3 and CS4 onto a 32 bit/64 bit PC.

I have two new PCs. They are supposed to run both 32 Bit and 64 Bit programs.
I have CS3 and CS4 32 Bit programs installed on both.
Many of my old faithful plugins have gone on strike or at least a work stoppage!
I can get some of them to install correctly, but some arre just not cooperating.
Is there a workaround for this problem?
I have considered:
1. Creating a partition for Window 7 32 bit, but I am not so technically savvy to be confident that I would do it correctly
2. Buy an older 32 bit machine and install windows 7, but that is getting to the edge of too pricey.
Any suggestions?

The truth is that you can run Windows 7 and Windows 8, in both 32 and 64-bit versions, without any problem (you have a 64-bit processor). The problem is that Apple only supports a 32-bit Windows 7 version for your Mac. Why? Because Apple wanted to drop the Windows 8 support for the computer you are using.
You can see in this page all the Macs compatible with 64-bit Windows editions > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1846 As you can see, your Mac isn't supported, so you can only install a 32-bit Windows 7 version with Boot Camp if you want to run Windows correctly.
I told you at the beggining that you can install any 32 or 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 8 versions on your Mac because your iMac meets the requirements for both editions. However, you need the Boot Camp drivers to make Windows run properly, and here's where Apple has dropped a lot of computers, making them unusable if you install a version that Apple clasifies as unsupported. Sad but that's true
