I finally update my 3G from 2.02 to 3.0.1.I was scared reading all post on this board but I finally did it,and everything is OK,my iPhone 3G is much,much faster and working like charm.I update the phone two weeks ago and it's still working without any problems.Wi-Fi is much better,it find network right away, without any delay.So, all you boys and girls don't hesitate to update your iPhone.
This is true of the vast majority of updated phones. There is still a chance something will go wrong, but it is small enough that it shouldn't stop anyone from upgrading. You've got a better chance of being hit by a car crossing the street than you are of having a problem after upgrading.

I can confirm the problem you are hitting. The XML test trace does not get recognized at all, and it defaults to Eclipse's basic Open File behaviour. I am not sure if it's because the format definition is missing, or if it's because something prevents the trace type from being recognized. I will open a bug about it.

I have Iphoto '09, version 8.1.2 (424). I am having an identical problem. All my pictures are imported into Iphoto when I downloaded them from my camera. Until recently, I thought that the pictures were actually saved in the library. Since I need to crop my pictures for the web, and Iphoto doesn't do that, I purchased Photoshop Elements to do that. To my surprise, when I try to get a picture from Iphoto to Photoshop, it can't be done. That was when I realized, after wasting a lot of time, that the photos are not in the Iphoto library.
I started naming the pictures on Iphoto so I had a recognizable file name to open on Photoshop. Couldn't find it. I looked in the Backup folder and the Transfer software folder (I have a Nikon camera), and the names I entered in the Iphoto display, could not be found.
When I am trying to upload a photo to the web, I get the Finder folder showing with an active folder called "Photos" under "Media", which only displays Iphoto and PhotoBooth. This is a folder name that I cannot find in my HD anywhere when I look for it. If I edit a picture with Photoshop, I am not going to save it back to Iphoto (not sure whether it will work properly). How do I get my folder of edited photos to show when I want to upload a picture to the web?
Where (the name of the folder) do I find the pictures I see displayed on the Iphoto library, including any name changes, keywords added, and so on?See my response to your other post.

Hi, I reecntly purchased a Mac and the Pages App. But now I find that I cant open a document I have been working on. It has previously been saved without a problem now all I get is a box stating that the file cannot be opened. It is visible in both the Pages Windows and under Recent Items but just will not open. Any suggestions please?

Maybe the document is corrupted. Can you open other Pages documents? Preview may open it. Right click (or control click) on the document in Finder and Open With > Preview.
If that works, Edit > Select All, Edit > Copy. Then paste into a blank Pages document. Formatting may be messed up, but you will have editable text. Then Save (with a different name), close and see if you can open the new document.

i've an iphone 3.1.3. sometimes, i have problems opening all the apps i downloaded in the past 4 months. other apps would open but the recent ones will begin to boot and then close itself. once, it persisted for over a week. it staarted again this evening, pls help as am frustrated. NB- i checked for apps update but all my apps are up-to-date. CT
Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If restoring using a backup doesn't help, try restoring the iPhone to factory settings and try for a while with just the Apple-included apps, to make sure it's not an issue with a third-party app. If it still has problems, it may have a hardware problem and will need to be sent to Apple.

I can't send emails from Mail. I have three different accounts set up and have the same problem with all. The mail just sits in my outbox. All worked fine until Yosemite upgrade. Recent update has not fixed problem.
I have been experiencing the same problem. My mail app won't even open on my Late 2011 Macbook Pro. It will show as open, but the app will never actually show up.

I like and use Top Sites but it has become unsuable with this constant blacking out and reloading the thumbnails. My MBP has not seen a problem at all.
I have been searching every other day for over a month trying to find a fix in Windows Safari with no joy. I want to resolve, not switch browsers. Please offer up a solution that only refreshes the Top Site thumbnails once a day or as some controlable interval. Started about two versions ago, now on ver 5.1.5. Windows 7 64bit.

Ipod classic won't sync to itunes on PC but no problem at all with MAC

i have this problem for almost a year now. i have tried restoring my ipod (using both itunes & ipod restore option) i have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes, checked it with different computers and different operating systems (XP and windows 7) and the problem is still not solved.
Here is the problem:
if i'm connecting my ipod to mac, i can restore it and sync it with no problem at all. but when i'm connecting the same ipod to a PC, i than need to restore my ipod, which is fine, but after restoring, my ipod will not sync to itunes either on a PC or mac. but if again i'n restoring my ipod on mac, i can than sync again with no problem at all (but than i need to restore it on PC and again it can't be synced). any suggestion as to why is it happening? i'm using the latest version of itunes.

Check to make sure that Sync Music is selected on the Device/Music pane and that you have selected music to be added to the iPod. -
I am finding the ability to download previous purchases now shown on my iCloud account to be difficult. Music appears fine and most movies are OK but I have problems with all music videos included with album purchases. Any ideas?

Reload the page. If it doesn't load, choose Activity from Safari's Window menu, find that picture in the list, and see what it says to the right; this may reveal what the problem is.

I purchased Microsoft Office for Mac through the Apple website.. I have downloaded all from the disk into my Mac, no problem with all the other Word etc, but Outlook is asking for the key number: I have put it in but its obviously not the right one...???? In the box with the disk came the product key, have put it in and it doesnt work. Please help..x
unfortunately - you can not. you can't even buy outlook by itself at microsoft's own website.
does it have to be outlook? maybe you can get away with using something else that's outlook compatible.
how about trying Thunderbird for Mac OS?
or maybe you can call apple and let them know you purchase the wrong version - they might give you a break and just pay the difference for the home and business version.

IOS 4.2.1 no problems at all. It works quite well
Despite all the complaints every time a new version of the iOS is being released I am quite happy with it. No problems at all. The battery seem to last a bit longer, the phone is much snappier and Bluetooth has improved and works on a longer range. They are still issues unresolved, but no new issues at all. Also the new “Find my iPhone” function is quite good
It is good to see people happy with their iOS release and iPhone. Even though this is a support forum it is also a place where we can make Apple aware they do a good job (most of the times) and instead of moaning continuously about our problems we can show how much we enjoy our devices too.
BTW The iPhone 4 is the only Apple product I use, but I love it! -

Hello. This is a very interesting problem for all programmers and students. I have my spalsh screen class which displays a splash when run from the main method in the same class. However when run from another class( in my case from my login class, when user name and password is validated) I create an instance of the class and show it. But the image in the splash is not shown. Only a squared white background is visible!!!.

Use tcode XK99 for vendor mass change, select the Fax no field. You have to take note that this changes will be only 1 fax number for all vendors.
Else you have to use BAPI for mass change.

Using Itunes, I copied all my apps from my Ipod touch to a new Iphone 4. Problem is all the apps on the Iphone are starting up like a new install. I would think my "password" app and "lose it" app would have the past data transferred to the Iphone. Is this not possible??
