3.01 suddenly wont work??

I have been using 3.01 on my Macpro fine, all has been well, but suddenly today when adding my film to compressor it just stopped encoding?
I had been using it 1 hour before and it was fine but then I started to compress a new job - added a preset for video and submitted it and it just sits there, no time remaining information for encoding... anyone else had this problem?
Should i reinstall?

Before reinstalling, try Resetting the background process under the Compressor menu.

This is a totally absurd suggestion, except that it worked for me with my iPad. Forget the network, then when asked for the password, enter a wrong one. Try again and enter the correct password. Good luck.

80Gb Ipod Suddenly wont work

My Ipod has suddenly stopped playing anything. No movies,music,photos or anything. even the INCLUDED games wont start. when i restarted it, a big X appears saying www.apple.com/support/ipod. What should i do? it wont even start now. when i try to play music, it sstay on a song, then cycles the next one, and so on. and oddly, it is freezing up at random intervals. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Apple Wrote It Off As A Massive Hardrive Failure. Anyway they exchanged it...pretty weird of it to fail like that.

Wi-Fi all of a sudden wont work...

A couple of days ago the interent on my ipod touch (2nd gen) just randomly quit working. I've never had an issue before with this. It says im connected, but my internet apps wont update or connect. For example, my facebook app just turns to black after a few seconds. I tried resetting, restarting and just today i restored my ipod. i also reset my wireless in my house. still doesnt seem to be fixed. not really sure what else to do! some suggestions would be great!

It connected fine before and all of my other electronics (tablets, computers, laptops, gaming systems, etc.) are connected and working completely fine. I tried turning the wifi setting on my ipod on/off as well as the actual ipod itself. I also tried resetting the network settings but neither of these options worked. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If the phone shows the "connect to iTunes" screen, the data on the phone is most likely lost.
Connecting in recovery mode is your only chance to use the phone again, besides getting it serviced by Apple.

My main worry is I don't have a back up of any of my data...on icloud I have just less than 2GB of my data which is as a result of incomplete back up...HOW CAN I GET THIS PHONE WORKING AGAIN WITHOUT LOSING MY DATA...if I can only just recover my data I would really appreciate it as I really need almost everything on it back...if I can only get retrieve my data and lose the phone I wouldn't mind at all....Anybody know how to resolve this??Kind Regards

Itunes wont work

My itunes suddenly stopped working today..
I downloaded 10.1 yesterday or something, worked perfectly fine for some time, but now it wont open.
(this actually happend after i used a jailbreak on my iphone 4. (greenp0ison or something like that).
The error message i get is: (badly translated because it's in norwegian)
The element iTunes.exe as this shortcut is referring to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut is no longer working as it should.
(i'll just throw in the norwegian one too:

I've tried uninstalling/installing and repairing the file several times, but it just wont work..

Formac TFT display suddenly not working help!!! G4 MDD DP1.25

Hi all...could use some pointers here. My formac 17" TFT display has suddenly stopped working on my MDD G4 DP1.25 - I use the standard graphics card. Turned the mac on today, and the display just wont turn on, though the silver light on the display flashes (as in standby) which means it's getting power. I also have a CRT display attached to the same card, and it's working as normal which I presume means that the graphics card is not dead. I tried booting from a different startup volume, same result. Any ideas please?? thanks!

no it doesn't support multiple inputs, it just has an on/off switch and is connected to the radeon 9000 pro graphics card (as shipped with the G4) via the ADC connector. Like I said, the VGA monitor that's hooked up to the same card works ok. And....weirder still, the Formac monitor has USB ports on the back, and although the monitor will no longer work (just the pulsing light on the front suggesting it's in stanbdy mode) the USB devices will still work when connected to the monitor - so this means either the card is half working or the monitor is half working!!! But I need to know which before I spend any $$$. Anyone got any ideas please? thanks!

Hi I asked a computer engineer to install RAW plug in 8.7.1. on PSE 12 for me, and he couldnt do it either.   I have bought PSE 13 and followed the advise I was given - go to Edit - expert - Help - plugins - RAW - update- and IT WORKS !!!    DW

Hello, I have been experiencing similar problems and followed the suggestion and yes, the raw icon comes up as illustrated but there is nothing there to indicate any further action can be taken. So I am presuming that means it is installed and no further action required?
Here's my problem: I have had no problems getting my pics into my organiser in Elements 12 from either my Nikon D7100 or my Fujifilm X100S - until last week. Suddenly when they are imported all I see is the timer icons but they don't open to let me view them. If I click on one it will open and I can then edit it but it will not save an image onto the grid for me to view so it's really frustrating not being able to view all my photos in order to decide what to edit and compare them.
Here's what action I've taken so far - restarted the computer (endlessly), checked the updates and installed them, checked I have the latest raw plug in (I do) and gone into edit/update thumbnail (doesn't do a thing) - and torn out a fair amount of my hair. So anyone out there experienced this and can give me some advice? Please?

My iphone 6 suddenly wont connect to wifi unless right next to it

iPhone 6 running ios 8.2 suddenly wont connect to my wifi unless extremely close. it is not the wifi as all other devices including an iPad 4th gen, macbook pro 13 inch and iPhone 4s have full bars from the room i am in, sometimes the iPhone 6 will get 1 bar but it wont work on the one bar. Does anyone know what could have caused this?

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on seven different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.
Posts that consist of "iPhoto doesn't work. Help" or "iPhoto won't print" or "Suddenly I have no photos!!!!!!!!!!" mean that any helper is simply guessing.
