3.1 Prod : Code Completion window is too large

Hi,
I am using SQL Dev 3.1 Prod on Windows 7 using JDK 1.6_11 included on the downloaded package.
I disabled the auto completion, therefore invoking it would be controlled using Ctrl + Space.
I have, say, hundred of tables and when press Ctrl + Space, the completion popup will appear.
However, the long scroll list is somewhat over the top of my window and reaches over the bottom too.
Therefore I cannot see, the first 4 or 5 items above.
Pressing the down arrow several times, will place the cursor on the 6th position.
Is there anyway to control the size of popup completion?

The easiest thing to do is connect the phone to iTunes on your computer. On the Summary pane, click the "Configure Universal Access..." button. In the window thst comes up, select "Neither" under the Seeing section and click "OK".

I've been experiencing very nagging problem since installing recent Acrobat Xi Pro uodate (on windows 7 system):
Specifically - I cannot edit/change the TOOL SET to include needed TOOLS (i.e., that were all previously in my Tool set) as the EDIT TOOL SET WINDOW (i.e., pop-up
window) is TOO LARGE and does not allow scrolling/ or moving down to SAVE any tool sets and or tool set changes. Very frustrating as all attempts (and recommendations from reviews/support) for decreasing the size of EDIT TOOL SET WINDOW (popup) in order to save (i.e. include ANY) tools have been unsuccessful. So for past week I've been unable to include/use any TOOLS for working in (i.e., editing/commenting etc) pdf's. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Would greatly appreciate any / all steps & recommendations for fixing.

First, make sure you are on the latest update 11.0.09. Help->check for updates should get you there.
If check for updates says that you have the latest, see if the setting: Edit->Settings->General->Basic Tools->Scale for screen resolution and try various options (you'll have to restart Acrobat with each selection)

Having the same issue here....a quick fix is to just minimize the window, and immediately maximize it. It will now fit the screen. Trouble is, after you close it, you'll have to do it again when you re-start itunes. The good news is it takes all of about 2 seconds. Apple should fix this. Should.

Dual monitors: window size too large when opens in smaller monitor.

I use Windows 7 with two monitors. When I open Firefox directly from my desktop, it opens on the larger monitor, and the window size is just fine. But if I click a link from an email, Firefox opens in the second, smaller monitor, and the window is too large for that screen.
Please help me figure out how to either (a) make Firefox open with a smaller window; or (b) make Firefox open on the primary, larger monitor.

Being able to make the changes in safe mode leads me to believe one the the plug ins from the FF site is creating the issue...It's just way to large to move it so the bottom can be seen....Thanks for your attempt and time. :)
Oh..another thing. At times the top tabs are visible, and at other times, the bottom is visible.

Some possibilities:
If you have a Magic Mouse do Control+stroke downwards on the mouse.
Check System Preferences>Displays is set to the correct resolution
Check System references>Accesability and make sure Zoom isn't turned on.

Windows opening too large

Ok not sure how to explain the situation and not sure if their is a fix for this but here goes...I have some macs here at work that when you open certain folders the window is too big for the screen and half the window is cut off at the bottom of the screen. Now I know you can click the green + sign at the top left corner but is there some kind of setting that needs to be set so these windows open at a certain size all the time? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your post has half the fix. Click the green button and then from the bottom right corner of the window resize to taste. If this does not work, trash the com.apple.finder.plist file, restart and follow procedure above.

In Address book print window opened too large for window. Unable to close

Using Address book, trying to print lables for a group, print window opened to large for window.... cannot cancel or close out.

In general, in any window presented which calls for user action, if a button is highlighted (usually in blue if the OS is in charge) then pressing Return or Enter will do the same as clicking that button.
Most of the time the highlighted button is the one which is most usable - the "Print" button in that dialog window, for example, or the "Save" button in a Save dialog window.
The keystroke Command-. (Command-periodkey) will usually invoke a "Cancel" button if such is present in a window.

Both the Texts and Graphics When I open windows are too large and blurry. Is this anyway I could fix this?

When I open Firefox (Firefox is updated to its latest version) both the text and the graphics are too large. I've tried zooming in and out features, but the texts become unreadable.

CTRL+0 (<--that is a zero) will reset your zoom level on affected pages. Firefox remembers the zoom level you last used on a page.<br />

View Player Window opens too large on Mac screen

I am using iTunes 6.0.4 and when I open up a podcast video in the "View Player" (lower left hand corner of iTunes) it opens up so large I cannot view it properly. How do I shrink the size of this "view" on my Mac.
When I open the same "View Player" in iTunes on my Dell PC, it opens up perfectly.
What do I need to change to view this "view window" properly.

The artwork and video pane shows videos 'fit to window size'.
Do they open in a separate window?
If so, the window is probably set to 'Double Size'.
Control-click, or if you have a 2 button mouse, right-click on the window and choose 'Normal Size' or 'Half Size'.

Finder window is too large, help....

howdy,
i recently inherited an older powerbook g4 from the office. it's running 10.2.8 and has a slight problem...
the finder window is streched beyond the bottom of the screen. i can't seem to get a hold of the corner to drag it back up and the resolution is set to the highest setting. obviously this causes issues with applications at the bottom of the list (ie. utilities) not being shown. is there a way to fix this problem? i may be installing tiger soon so it could be a temporary issue, however for the time being i'd love to get it fixed.

Hi Ryan, if you cannot reduce the window by cliking on the green button and then right it, do this:
Navigate to yourhome/library/preferences and trash this file:
com.apple.finder.plist
(You may have to reset a few finder prefs the way you like them.)
Then log out and back in again.

Items on desktop and in windows appear too large

I recently had to perform a System Restore to remove some malicious software, but when my computer restarted I found that everything seemed over-sized. Right now both the desktop and internet explorer look magnified, and to see a standard size web page I have to zoom out to 75%. It is extremely inconvenient, and I've been looking for an answer for quite some time.
I have already verified that my resolution is at 800x600, which is the lowest setting, that my dpi is at 100%, and I've looked at my video card to see if I had to install any drivers. I think it is described as being a "standard vga graphics adapter."
It is very important to me that I correct it back to the way it was prior to the restore, so any suggestions are appreciated.

You need higher resolution, not lowest. What is the native resolution of your screen ? 800 x 600 is too low for a normal screen. To help us answer question quicker, please read this:

Code completion and Javadoc question in JDeveloper

Hey guys,
I think this is a very n00b question, but I cannot for the life of me figure this one out. I was wondering when the code completion window shows up to assist me in selecting the correct method, I was wondering if there was a way for it do display the Javadoc for that method as well in the same window. That way I dont have to keep going to the browser to refer the JDK 5 API on the web.

Not in the same window, but pressing ctrl+D while standing on an object will pop up the quick javadoc.

Code completion problem in netbeans 5.0

Hi-
I just recently switched from using ConTEXT to using netbeans 5.0. However, I cannot seem to get code compeletion to work properly (the main reason I switched).
It doesn't work at all if I open a .java file on its own even though it's enabled.
However, if I copy and paste the code into a <new project> then code completion works.
Is there a way to get code completion to work without generating an entire new project? I just want a simple editor that has code completion. Is this possible with netbeans?

Never mind it took a while to find but I figured it out...
<Ctrl>space or <Ctrl>\ opens up the code completion window
and as an added bonus Alt+P pops up that ultra cool yellow window that tells you the formal parameters of the function as you enter arguments.
Me loves the netbeans. Still though I have to have it in a project for it to work so the question still stands...can you use this without creating a project as to use it in a glorified editor fashion?

FF window too large when using extended desktop. Must reboot to return to correct size when I return it to the main screen.

I watch on-line videos on my HDTV by using "extended desktop" and sliding the FF window to the HDTV. The window becomes too large to access the controls to size it, or the top bar, to move it.
I can move FF window back to my pc by minimizing it on the pc toolbar, but when I "restore" it, it restores to the HDTV. I can not move it back to the pc, I also cannot re-size the screen

Hello. Thank you all for giving my some advise but I do not understand any of it.
I'm a bit of a technophobe when it comes to computers.
It is a Sony Vaio and there is a model number on the base of the laptop PCG-71911M. I have tried to look in the Control Panel to see if I can find its specifications but these days the system is too complicated for me to understand.
I did try seek out the information on the internet but just get a French site. Doh!!!
I use Nikon View NX software when I am viewing my images and again if I go to full screen for viewing the image the taskbar 'occludes' the little arrows I use to view the next image. When this happens I just click the little box in the far right edge of the taskbar and ViewNX 'disappears'. When I go back in and click on 'show desktop' it clears the taskbar. I can then easily access the buttons to move forward. Also when I am using PSE8 I have the same problem with accessing the buttons after I have completed my raw adjustments in the ACR window but it allows me to press the buttons with great difficulty if I can 'catch' the edge of the button and the ACR goes into PSE8 properly. I'm sorry that I have not explained myself well. At the present it looks as if the ACR window is too 'large' for the PSC5 window it 'sits upon'. It seems that it does not want to 'sit over' the taskbar. I have eventually fathomed that I can use Cntl and O to open the image (Open Image button) but this is not the least bit satisfactory. I don't know how I am going to access the other options eg 'done' and 'cancel' and 'save image'.
