3.2.1 Problems: Yahoo / Citrix

I find myself having to use FireFox to check my online Yahoo Business eMail
and also, to use my company Citrix Server.

There seems to quite a few folks who use Yahoo business acounts and Safari after the recent OSX update.
This is the error I get when I try to login to my bus account:
LaunchCascadeError-ymws:Client.ClientRedirect.HostCorrection,
*occurred when trying to connect to Yahoo! Mail*
There are also several other threads in this group about the same problem.
Yahoo could not help me when I contacted them as they could not see the error from their end. Firefox works great but I would prefer to use Safari

Problems with Citrix ICA Client

Guys,
To work from home, my employee provides web access using Citrix ICA Client. I used to log into a given web page, type my ID, fixed pasword and a 'token' password, and when I clicked the option I wanted, it opened the Citrix client and all worked fine.
Since I've updated to Lion, it's not working. It keeps giving a message to 'update to a browser that supports Java for Cocoa, such as Safari'.
The problem is that I'm already using Safari… I even tried it with Chrome and Firefox, but ig gives the same error message...

Same here - Safari won't fire up the ICA client.
My work-arount is
- right-click and save the linked file (with the .ica extension). Clicking on this file finally starts the ICA client.
- or to use firefox

Java Console Launch Problems with CITRIX

I have to use a Citrix TerminalServer to connect to the SunMC Server.
Reason is the nature of the RMI proto. RMI needs to open ports back on
the console host. As this is not allowed in our network design, I first login to
a CITIX T.S. , start a browser and then type the URL of the SunMC server.
The page appeares, I select "Launch Java Console", then "Open with Java Web Start executable" and it starts Java 5. Now I would expect the Login Window, but instead of it I get a window saying:
Checking for latest version ...
After a while (timeout) I get:
Unable to lauch Sun Management center
Any ideas ?

We opened a case at SUN and got the following statement:
This is a know issue and actually the problem has been escalated to our developer colleagues: Bug 6665331
Using java web start does not work on a firewalled environment. This is both on a windows as well as a solaris environment. So anyone who has enabled firewalled communication will be facing this issue. The momentarily workarounds you can apply are:
- install the console directly on the window pc or Soalris environment and use the Java GUI or
- set the variable "sunmc.server.console.firewall.Enable=false" into java.properties file.
--> we installed the regular (non-Web-Start) Java Console on the Citrix host. It uses the configured ports, e.g. 45000-48000. and works fine.
I think, this will also be needed on a normal windows (non-Citrix) host.
The second suggested workaround did not show any effects.
Conclusion: If there is a firewall in between the server and the console, the Java WebStart Console can not be used at the moment.

Sapgui access problem from citrix

I am getting one error message while accessing sapgui through citrix .
It is giving the following error message
"This application has failed to start because saplgdll.dll was not found . Re - installing the application may fix this problem" in the error dialog box
can anybody help on this error. why this error is coming.what are the checks we need to do.

we are using ECC6.0 . Actual problem is when i login into the citrix , we have one application called 'my workplace' for accessing all production systems. after logging into this application , it will display list sapgui systems available like BI,XI,R/3 systems. when i trying to access any of the sapgui i am getting the error message.

Problems installing Citrix HDX-compatible Flash Plug-in

I'm setting up an HP thin client for XenDesktop and I want HDX. In testing the connection the Citrix client prompted me to install a different version of Flash. This redirected to this site:

The 1.0 MB installer from this location, which comes from an Adobe server, does not run correctly on the thin clients. I've tried multiple thin clients to no avail. I've tested on standard XP computers and it installs fine, but this is all I get on the thin clients:
I've tried different command lines to see if I can get it to extract a copy of the full installer but that also did not work. I've also looked on the Flash redistributables page but it was not listed.
Is there a command line to get this extracted or a redistributable version available somewhere? This is a necessity for our XenDesktop deployment.

We have received a few reports of the window displaying without text (not specific to thin clients), however, we have been unable to reproduce it. We would appreciate it if you could generate and submit a log file to aid in troubleshooting. Can you please do the following:
Download the installer from get.adobe.com/flashplayer and save it to the desktop
Launch the command prompt, click the Start orb and in the search field, type: cmd.exe
When the command prompt utility launches, drag the installer from the desktop onto the command prompt window hit space key and type /debug
It should look similar to (the actual file name may differ): C:\Users\labuser\Desktop\install_flashplayer14x32_mssd_aaa_aih.exe /debugNote there IS a space between the file name and the / and there is NO space between / and debug
Click Enter to proceed
A file named host.develop.log will be saved to the same location the installer was saved toYou may notice the the online installer file is missing. This is because it deletes itself once executed, so it will no longer be saved locally.
Post the contents of the host.develop.log file here in your response, or share the file following the How to share a document instructions.

Hey guys, I have the ipod touch 2g with 3.0. When i set up my sbcglobal e-mail account under the yahoo heading in the mail app it doesn't push. I have push enabled but when i go to the account it gives me the option to either fetch or manual, so i set it to fetch for 15 minutes, but i need my email sooner than that. Why isn't it working for me?

The iPhone supports MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, and Yahoo! push email accounts, as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2625
You can try contacting SBC and asking if there is a way to convert the SBC account to a Yahoo! account or how to setup the account on the iPhone with push.

Yahoo is not displaying correctly and saying it is untrusted. I unistalled firefox and reinstalled. Still having the same problem. yahoo works fine on chrome.

When loading yahoo.com , it says it is not a trusted site. I can load the news page but home page displays incorrectly and cannot log into my mail. Yahoo is working fine on chrome. Happens ever since I downloaded the latest update to firefox and I cannot download a previous version.

Did you check the issuer of the certificate?
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details to expand this section.<br>If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.

Problems with Citrix Access Gateway

I have to use Citrix Access Gateway when remotely logging into to my work's records system. After upgrading my OS, now my computer crashes intermittently while using it. It never did this before. Problem Launching BPC for Excel in Terminal Services/Citrix Environment

Hello.
We are having an issue launching BPC in our terminal services/citrix environment. This is not the main way that users will be accessing BPC, but we plan to have it available for off-hours/off-site use.
Here are details on our environment.
1) BPC version: 5.0.502 (5.1, SP3, patch 4)
2) Env: 1 web/app server, 1 database server
3) SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition, SP2
4) Problem occurs sporadically for any user.
In some instances, launching BPC for Excel does not bring up the connection wizard, instead, an error message displays saying "Object Variable is not set". We then logoff, delete the terminal services profile, and logon again, forcing the creation of a new terminal services profile, and BPC for Excel will launch the connection wizard as expected. So it seems that the terminal services profile sometimes gets corrupted. Does someone know which Windows registry key would cause this situation so we can determine the root problem? Deleting the profile is not a practical permanent solution. This is only an issue in terminal services/citrix, no other environment.
I opened this with support, but they said it's my problem. I'd appreciate any ideas to solve this. Thanks, Nancy

Another BT Yahoo Calendar Problem

If I go into the Calendar in Monthly view & then click on the month at the top of the page to get to future monhs, the future months pages do not load correctly, the day numbers show but not the line markings or the events set.
The loading symbol at the top right of the page continues to go round.
However if I select a future month using the Calendar on the RHS all is OK.
Can anyone give idea for solving ?
Also is there a BT web site that I could contact to report this problem, Yahoo are not interested, & I can't find a BT site for Calendar problems

Just had BT on the phone about this problem.
She started by saying her Calendar is working ok
Then said try another Browser, did this using Firefox, Calendar showed no problems
Her comment then was, so it must be an Internet Explorer problem. The Browser I am using.
No consideration that it may be a BT /Yahoo problem on interaction with IE8.
She then said I needed to contact Yahoo, I said I had done this & they said contact BT.
I told her this was just BT Buck passing, & why did she not say “We BT will contact Yahoo” she said they could not do this.
Would a Moderator like to comment on this lack of Service?

Problem in re-setup of my yahoo account on E72

Hi,
I have been using the email messaging service (yahoo) for the last 3 months. Suddendly 3-4 days ago my device stopped receiving new messages in the inbox.
I logged onto the email.nokia website and re-registered by email address. However; every time i try to setup my email account on the E72 handset, it shows as if setup is complete but the mailbox does not reflect under the email or any other section. I have tried setting up the email account multiple times on the device with no success.
Please assist in troubleshooting this problem.

Yahoo account cannot be used for signing up for nokia Messaging using internet explorer.
Yahoo account has to be added through the mobile only.
Try to delete all access points leaving behind only Service provider data plan.
Pull out the memory card.

Yahoo Mail on iphone problem

I do have yahoo mail on my iphone for a while and it was working perfect.
Few days ago I got:
Cannot Get Mail The user name or password for "[email protected]" is incorrect.
I do not have any problem when I login from my PC with same User name and password.
When I try to set up my email from I phone again. Here is what I got:
Cannot Get Mail The user name or password for “imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com” is incorrect.
I can make all my friends’ yahoo mail work on my I phone but only the one mail account used to be working fine does not working now.

I've had Yahoo Mail Plus for over 5 years without any problems (Yahoo Mail "Plus" means you pay $20/yr to get POP mail access using a standard mail clients). But since I got my iPhone 3GS, I've been having frequent problems accessing Yahoo Mail from my Mac Mail client, via web browser, etc.. My iPhone replaced a Treo 700p, and I used to have no problems, even with two Mac Mail clients and the Treo accessing my POP mail every 5 minutes. Now, since my frequent problems started, I've cut way back on the POP access on all my mail clients (which Yahoo Support told me to do), but the problem persists.
QUESTION: Do you guys with problems have the standard (free) Yahoo Mail, or Mail Plus with POP access?
THEORY: When I got my new 3GS, it automatically imported the mail settings from my Mac Mail client. However, instead of keeping my POP settings for Yahoo Mail, it changed the setting to the Push/IMAP for my iPhone. The Push settings would be great for most people, but not so much for people with Mail Plus who access mail with POP settings. The problem is, when an email client accesses POP mail, it tells the IMAP mail client that all email has been read (when it's simply been downloaded). I think Apple should not, by default, import Yahoo Mail settings which are set to POP, and then change the settings to IMAP on the iPhone -- at least ask the user before making this change. Anyway, my uneducated theory is that the simultaneous IMAP and POP access to my Yahoo Mail Plus account screwed something up, and now I keep having problems accessing mail. I've since deleted the default Push Yahoo Mail account from my iPhone, and set it up from scratch as a POP account. But my mail problems persist.
Also note that, a detailed debug message I get sometimes (usually with error code 5, though once with error code 20) always list the same date/time, which is really close to when I got my iPhone, and also when my problems started. In my mind, that supports my theory. I've been waiting for Yahoo Support to address this detailed debug report, but they keep on giving vague responses (basically telling me over and over that my issues are due to accessing my mail too frequently).

Mail attachment problem with IP TUNNELING

We are an Isp and we have two links separatly from two different service provider, one is for Send traffic and another one for recive traffic, we use simple Gre tunnle and configure it in our router ,the tunnel is active and everything seems works fine ,but when users want to use mail attachment like yahoo mail attachment they have problem : yahoo ask them to attach files they can browse and choose files after that when they want to finish ,the yahoo attachment page process opened and never finish it s job !!!!!!!
please help.

Hi,
this sounds like you are having MTU problems due to the GRE overhead. You can try to fix this with the command
ip tcp adjust-mss ! f.e. 1400
on the tunnel interfaces. The riouter will intercept TCP MSS negotiation and allow only TCP segments small enough to fit through the tunnel.

Excel Macro Solutions not working after Citrix update

Very random question to see if anyone has experienced this. My team creates solutions for users to use with legacy systems to process work. The solutions are created in VB and deployed to keyboard shortcuts for users. Recently the company went to a citrix
environment. The last couple updates to citrix has caused issues for users where it looks like everything is working but nothing happens. Upon further investigation some references are missing but even when added back the solutions will not work. Ultimately
the users Citrix profile has a reset done and they reload all the solutions to make them work. Has anybody run across this before and might have any ideas what is causing it. Nobody on my team (developers) has had this issue only end users. Neither the
team or help desk have been able to pin down the root cause.

As this is not about the Excel application itself, I would recommend that you report this problem to Citrix. Let them confirm if any settings have any effect on Excel application.

I am having all these problems after webroot did a clean up of files; I was able to find the files; all are firefox files, how do I reinstall these files?

I am having all these problems; yahoo is not the same, cannot do anything on facebook; I found the files that were "cleaned" and they were all firefox files, there are many more in que to be "cleaned" by webroot; how do I reinstall these files? How do I stop webroot from continuing this "cleanup" I emailed webroot but got no reaponse.

You can't. The only way to get songs in the Music app is to sync from a computer or to download from iTunes.
