3.3.8 Create a Business Scenario Configuration

Hi,
I am trying to create Business Scenario Configuration via the SCL SOAMANAGER site.
I click New, key in STARTER_SERVICES as the name and then proceed Next.
I click on Add, the Search page is displayed.
But I only have the option to search by Service. The guide states to change it to search by ServiceGroup.
I dont have that option.
Is there another way of doing this?
Thank you in advance.
Haridev

Hi Haridev,
all these steps should be taken care of by the installation Wizard.
However, if you want to do it manually, then make sure that you are in Step 3 Consumer Side. Click on Add and a new Window should open. In here the "Search By" field has "ServiceGroup" selected by default.
My guess would be that you are still in step 2 "Provider Side" where you can only search for Services.

Holger.

  • 3.3.8 Create a Business Scenario Configuration (Developer Guide)

    Hi guys,
I am using the 13 step wizard installation tool to set up Duet Enterprise.
I have the SCL on 1 box - NW1 and the backend system on 1 box - ER4.
I have completed all the step correctly and found no errors until I reached the Starter Services step.
    I have done the following:
    1. Keyed in the correct RFC destination
    2. Keyed in the profile name SAPLOGONPROFILE (exported from the backend and imported to the SCL soamanager)
    3. Copy paste the external application key (retrieved from the Backend soamanager site)
    4. Keyed in a username and password
    5. Activated BC Sets
    6. Implemented Note 1480794
But when I click next, I see the following errors:
    x Create System Connection
x Create the account maintainence user
    x Create Endpoint for Services
System connection in the SOAMANAGER could not be carried out .
Account ACCOUNT_sR4CLNT100 cound not be assigned to application E0670588B47EB1F1A2
Could not find the Application Key for Biz System PS_sR4_100 and Application APPL_sR4CLNT100
Endpoints could not be created. Create them manually.
Hope for some assistance on the matter.
    Thank you.

  • Activate Business Scenario Configuration Error in SCL SOAMANAGER

    Hi Holger,
With your assistance, I managed to solve my issue creating the business scenario as posted in
Re: 3.3.8 Create a Business Scenario Configuration .
However, now I face another situation.
Once I have created the 3 required business scenario's on my SCL, I then proceed to activate them.
I face the similar error as posted by Simon Kemp previously on Activate Logical Ports Fails with UDDI error
    Error Message:
Activate logical ports for service group /IWCNT/BPC_SERVICE_GROUP and application PS_ER4_100/APP_ER4CLNT100 in scenario STARTER_SERVICES
I have created the SAPLOGONPROFILE version 1, exported from the backend and imported into the SCL. The versions are the same.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
the troubleshooting guide I have created is now online:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/603ab5a0-184b-2e10-98a7-fa7e7e9da7a1
Can you take a look at the chapters:
    7. An unexpected error occurred while executing the specified Action
    18. When opening a Workspace in the Start Services scenario you get an unexpected error occurred
Maybe when you look through the Analysis and Resolution you get some points.
If it does not help please provide more information of the error that you get when activating the service.

  • Configuration assistant,  business scenario configurator

    Hi All,
We have two tools used in ID, namely,
    1. configuration assistant,
    2. business scenario configurator
Can anyone tell the difference between them ..
    Regards,
    Mona

    Mona,
If you maintain your Integration Scenario in the repository with the Actions , Connections , etc... then Configuration Wizard will take you through a wizard to create the ID objects .... automatically
That case you do not need to create the objects manually...
However I do not use it and prefer to create the objects manually .. and also in XI3.0 there is a bug in the wizard for the sender agreement creation and you have to delete and create the sender agreement manually....
    Cheers,
    Himadri

  • Creating a Business Scenario for CPM BPC 10

    Hi Everyone,
I've been trying to create a Business Scenario within my Solution Manager (TCode: SOLAR01). But I've don't see any option related to our version of our Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC 10). The only option I see that is close enough is "SAP BusinessObjects Business Planning and Consolidation" but it shows an older product version "SAP BPC 7.0 FOR MICROSOFT, SAP BPC 7.0 FOR SAP NETWEAVER".
To be clear, the ff is what I'm trying to do.
    Steps:
    1. TCode SOLAR01
    2. Project >> Business Scenarios
    3. Source = Business Process Repository
    4. Add Scenario Name (F4)
Our SAP BPC software has been installed within our "SAP Netweaver AS ABAP 7.31" as the following Software Component:
    Software Component: CPMBPC
    Release: 801
    Level: 0001
    Highest Support Package: SAPK-80101INCPMBPC
Description: CPM Business Planning and Consolidation
So my question is, how do I properly add the business scenario that matches my BPC 10 software component? Is there anything I must do/check first?
Apologies if this might sound very basic, but I'm new to Solman.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Brian

    Hi Brian,
I have the same scenario in my environment consisting of Solution Manager 7.0, "SAP Business Objects Business Planning and Consolidation" but it shows an older product version "SAP BPC 7.0 FOR MICROSOFT, " Only
But in Solution Manager 7.1 System it is showing both ""SAP BPC 7.0 FOR MICROSOFT,SAP BPC 7.0 FOR SAP NET WEAVER".
Please Suggest is anything needs to be done in Solman 7.0 System  ?

  • Business scenario configuration

    Dear all
How to configure in SAP system for the following scenario
    1. Client manufactures a huge material where generally it will be make-to-order with assembly or with out assembly and finished product will deliver to the customer site as per the PO terms&conditions of customer
Once the material is deleiverd to the customer site and as per the agreeement the product should install and tested at the customer site as per the agreement it should be done before 30days from the day product reaches customer site, that means we need to provide our service engineer for customer site before 30days as per the agreement, but since service people have tight schedule of attending to the customer site sometimes it will be delayed, if this happens
That means we need to deliver the material and provide service for the same material to the customer, the process should be automatic that means when we create sales order and PGI is done and before billing settlement condition is we need to install and test the product at customer location, only after instalation customer will settle the bill, how we can configure this process in SAP...

  • How to connect steps in business scenario

    Hello,
After creating a project in Solution Manager, creating a business scenario in that project and creating a custom business process in my scenario, Iu2019ve defined the necessary steps that I want in my process. These steps involve 2 different logical components, a component specified for a SAP XI/PI system and a logical component for SAP ECC system.
The business process will involve interaction between the two logical components where Idocs will be exchanged. My first issue is, in transaction SOLAR01 when I click the tab Graphic, Iu2019m able to see the two separate components each with their steps but with no connection or relation between them or with any step order.  Where can I define the order and flow for the steps in the business process? After defining the flow, will the connections be presented in the graphic?
One other question, if this business process involve interfaces, should I define this as a business scenario or as an Interface Scenario? What is the main difference between these two objects? Canu2019t I have only business scenarios and define the steps as interfaces?
    Thank your for the attention.
    Best regards,
    Goncalo Mouro Vaz

    Hello,
please be aware that only business process maintained in the operations part of SAP Solution Manager. i.e. the Solution Directory, are available for Business Process Monitoring. Processes defined within SOLAR01 are in the project part and hence not directly available for monitoring. But those processes can be copied into the Solution Directory.
For BPMon only "Business Scenraios" are of interest. "Interface Scenarios" need not be maintained but can be used for additional documentation purposes.
Please refer to http://service.sap.com/bpm > Media Library > Technical Information > Setup for Interface Monitoring.pdf

  • Configuring business scenario "Quote to cash"

    Dear All,
This is regarding configuring business scenario "Quote to cash" for Industrial machinery product. In Material master (mm01) tab for Sales:general plant we have assigned serial number profile.
During GR for the order, we are creating serial numbers automatically. The user has a specific requirement of prefixing the serial numbers.
For example he wants the serial numbers to have a prefix 'Mach' i.e. Mach01, Mach02 and so on.
Please help me with the configuration details for meeting this requirement of the customer
    Warm Regards
    Mazdul

    Hi.
These prefixes are constant or it is depends on plants or depends on material type..

  • Scenario Configurator and Business Service without party

    HI all
Quick question. I can't seem to assign a business service(without party) to an A2A connection in the scenario configurator on the ID. I have an email router service I created to push some emails to internal users, and it only allows me to choose Business systems. It does not seem to give the option of using the business services.
Is that correct, or am I missing something.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi Richard,
If in IR u had seleced the check box "External party with B2B Communication" under Application Component, only then u may c a business service under the scenario onfigurator.
So in ur case u couldnt view the business service.

  • Add Configuration & Business Scenario in SOLAR02

    Hi all,
I was trying to add item under Configuration and also Business Scenario folder (tcode SOLAR02). And the standard imported folders when I chose SAP ERP 6.0 are Basic configurations for Configuration folder, and only six business scenarios under Business Scenarios.
Since I am not a business person, does anyone know (anyone who ever used this functionality) that the imported business scenarios have covers all possibility scenarios in ERP? The same question for Configuration folder, there was only a few configuration items i recognize from SPRO tcode, many were missing. Does it mean that we have to add our own folder for each configuration tree from SPRO tcode? Is it the way this feature works?
    Thanks

  • Abap to mass create business scenarios, business process, and process steps

    HI,
Really struggling to figure out how to mass create "folders" in the business blue print structure.      Periodically we will need to add in a new business scenario with everythign associated with it.  the business has already written up all the information in excel sheets and we would like to avoid having to manually enter this data every time..   These scenarios and process etc are project specifc.
Has anyone done this before? I have been playing with SOLAR_STRUCTURE_CREATE and while i can see the lines being added into table, i can't get anything to appear after wards in SOLAR01.
Any and all help greatly appreciated
    Sara

  • Business Scenario ( Mix of MTO & MTS) how to configure

    Hi,
Our customer has a business scenario , which uses a combination of make against order and make to stock. In its case 90% of production is against make to order and 10% is against make to stock.
Its requirements are that in case of make to Order scenario it should be able to know which production orders have been created against a particular sales order and the manufacturing variance at the time of order settlement should flow to COPA under specific sales order.
In case of rest of 10% production it should have the flexibility of producing material as made to stock.
How to fulfill the above requirements , pls provide details answers , helpful answers will be awarded points.
    Regards
    Milind Nair

    Hii Milind,
What you can do is to check your consumptions of orders. In order to that you can select either single strategy or more than one strategies. As I saw that you receive your sales order for 90% sales, then you can choose different strategy and for purely make to stock for your 10% of sale, you can choose different strategy.
