3 4x6 on a sheet?

Is there any way to set the print dialog up to put 3 4x6's on a sheet? Thanks!

One workaround: when you print, choose the contact sheet option. The dialogue then lets you adjust the number of rows/columns, and you can adjust the width of the pictures. In Print Settings you can then insure that you print the quality you want, type of paper, etc. Once you have it set up you can then save the settings as a contact sheet preset.

When I print from my ipad 2 it only prints on the 4x6 corner and cuts off part of the left border.  All my other lap tops, computer and iphone print normally, but not my ipad 2. How do I fix this?

    Hello rfrench345,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your photo in the post it's clear that the Safari app is not taking up the entire screen of your iPad's display.  Since quitting Safari and resetting the iPad has not resolved the issue, next I would like you to back up your iPad and then restore it back to its factory settings.

  • Contact sheet to pdf

when i to create my contact sheet for this assignment  the contact template is 4x6  the contact sheet is single contact with 25 photos per contact sheet.  i get this set up. go to print to pdf.  when done printing to pdf thumbnails have lines and are cropped according to my teacher can anyone help i have photoshop lightroom3

No, I still think it is lightroom
Print to PDF works just fine from other applications
For 145 images from one day's photos (8 rows 6 coumns):
(This is a multiple page document)
JPEG from lightroom 300 ppi 92 quality
    Lightroom has locked
Preparing Pring Job, Rendering Page 1 on the final image of that page
No such thing as a multiple page JPEG, but Lighrooom seems to not know that
If I just select 48 images (one page)
    Size: 3,287 kb
PDF From Bridge 300 ppi 92 quality (4 pages)
Then the file size is reduced in Acrobat (Document > Reduce File Size...)
    Size: 775 kb

  • Printing photos with captions

In a photo album I've put a caption into the Description box of each picture. I haven't been able to figure out how to print the photos with the caption beneath each picture. I can make a web page with the text in the Description box beneath each picture so surely there is a way to do it with printing. My goal is to print the sheets of a simple photo album -- two 4x6 pictures per sheet with the Description text below each picture. Can you help?

If you want the captions beneath the photo then use the Contact Sheet theme in the Customize section of the print window. In the Settings page you can check the Comments box to have the comments printed under each photo.
You'll have the option as to how many columns to have per page which determine how many photos will be per page.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

  • This one might be tough...

This issue is hard to explain. Simplest is to to show the link to open up the Numbers document and then explain. The spreadsheet can be accessed at
    http://web.me.com/prajnamuktika/Site/Blog/Entries/2011/1/9Pricing_Invoice_SPreadsheet_-_NumbersDocument.html
So, when I select, for example, a 4x6 print ( in Sheet one, table one, the 2C cell) at the volume of two items (in cell 2D) then the print item is multiplied by number ordered and totaled in the next column (in cell 2E). Those figures work off of Sheet 3 in the Regular Price List table. So when I change a price for, say, a 5x7" print in Regular Price List table on sheet three, the calculations in Sheet one are adjusted. Works fine. However, with large prints (over 17x22") I have to have them printed out of house and have a separate lab cost that I don't want to include in my volume discount pricing calculations ( If someone orders only extra large prints I end up rewarding them with discounts and accruing too much lab costs and it doesn't work well ). Soooo... on Sheet 3 in the same Regular Price List Table I have added a third column that includes my lab costs for extra large prints. WHAT I WANT IS to have the lab costs of column three (sheet three, Regular Price List, 11C -13 C) placed in the Grand total box AFTER volume discount calculations (Sheet three, Grand Total, Lab Costs line: 8C ). I still want the regular or primary price to show up where it is. The corollary lab cost needs to go to the Lab Cost line in the grant total table.
What's more, as if that wasn't enough, is that I want, in instances where there are more than one such lab cost, the cell for lab cost in the grand total table to contain the sum of all the lab costs.

And even harder to read when dumped into a single blob of words. Step one is to separate it into paragraphing to make the question more readable.

One way to do tis would be to add a column to show the lab cost, if any, for each order item on the same line as the item, then add that column over the four 'order' tables into the appropriate cell on the Grant Total table.
Rather than mess up the formatting, though, I chose to add an auxiliary table ('Lab costs')to do the calculations, then transfer the total to that cell.
    Formulas:
    B2:   =SUMIF('First $100 Block' :: $C,A2,'First $100 Block' :: $D)+SUMIF('Second $100 Block' :: $C,A2,'Second $100 Block' :: $D)+SUMIF('Third $100 Block' :: $C,A2,'Third $100 Block' :: $D)
    C2:   =B2*LOOKUP($A2,Regular Price List :: $A,Regular Price List :: $C)
    D2:   =SUMIF('Prints for 50% (EXCEPT FOR LAB COSTS)' :: $D,A2,'Prints for 50% (EXCEPT FOR LAB COSTS)' :: $E)
    E2:   =D2*LOOKUP($A2,Regular Price List :: $A,Regular Price List :: $C)
    F2:   =C2+E2
All filled down to row 4.
    F5:   =SUM(F)
In the Lab costs cell on Grand Total:   ='Lab costs ' :: F5

  • Printing - No borderless

When I print to my Epson R1800 4 x 6 borderless I always get a border on the right and bottom of the print. I tired doing the calibration in the print dialog making the changes but it did not solve the problem. I still got a border (of about 1/4" or more) on the right and bottom of the print. Seem like the calibration did nothing.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks!
    Sky.......

I don't know if you ever worked this out, but I was having the same problem with my Epson R800. Here's the settings that solved it.
    In Aperture's Print Dialog:
Paper Size: 4x6 in (borderless) (Sheet Feeder-Borderless)
    Orientation: Best Fit
Color Sync Profile: SPR800 Photo Paper (G)
    Scale To: Fill Entire Page
Click on the Printer Settings button and in Epson's Print Dialog:
Paper Handling (on drop down list):
Destination Paper Size: Scale to Fit Paper Size: 4x6 in (borderless) (Sheet Feeder-Borderless)
Print Settings (on drop down list):
    Premium Glossy Photo Paper
    Advanced: Print Quality: Best Photo
Color Management (on drop down list):
    Off (No Color Adjustment)
Hope that helps, and saves someone the time, paper, and frustration I went through until I figured it out.
Oh, and by the way, after I figured that out, I used the Calibrate button and printed a calibration sheet. I ended up with the following values for my printer:
    Top: 19, Left 15, Right 14, Bottom 24

  • Printing 2 photos borderless on single 4x6 sheet?

Ok, Ive been trying to get this to work without any luck. I'd like to print 2 pictures, borderless, on a single 4x6 sheet (cropped to fit as nicely as possible).
Can someone outline what permutation of options I need from the print menu? I've tried custom sizes of 3x4 (which should go side-by-side to fill the 6x4), and n-up printing from my ip5000 print menu - all without any joy.
    Tips?
    Jonathan

Just went through the same frustrations. I can't believe they've made what I think is a pretty common task so difficult.
Like you, I found that the default layout wasted so much space around the photos. I had chosen "borderless" and expected it the fill the space.
I ended up monkeying with the "custom" size until I found a setting that got as close to the edge as possible without it reverting to 1 photo per page. 2.75" x 3.75 was the best I found.
The software that came with both my Canon and HP does a much better job.

  • Need help in printing multiple copies of same photo on one sheet

i have PE8 installed and i am trying to print 10
small photos on a 4 x 6 piece of photo paper.
i have tried several set up options, but have not been successful
    can anyone offer some suggestions?

In PSEv.8, Editor, go to File>print>#4 Select type of print>contact sheet.
You will be directed to the organizer. In the dialog, select paper size, and the layout.
Another way to do it is to do the math to figure out how many pictures will fit on the 4x6.
    Crop you picture accordingly.
Open a new, blank file, 4x6
Copy picture,  paste the picture 10 times. Each rendition will be on its own layer.
    Position with move tool.

  • How to print three 4x6" prints on 8.5x11" page in Lightroom?

Is there any way to create a Lightroom print template that prints three different 4x6" images onto a single 8.5x11" page? There's plenty of room on the page to do this--it just involves printing two in one orientation and a third in the opposite orientation. For example, on a portrait letter size page print 2 portrait orientation 4x6" images butted up against one another and a third 4x6" landscape image below those.
I have figured out how to create this layout arrangement in the Picture Package portion of the Lightroom 2 print module, but then I get three copies of the *same* image whereas I want to print 3 different images. As far as I can tell the Contact Sheet/Grid printing (which prints 1 of each image) doesn't have the capacity for adding "cells" of different sizes or orientations. It offers only a simple 'rows and columns' approach to laying out photos on a page.
Ultimately my goal is to select a bunch of images in Lightroom and print one copy of each image at 4x6". I want them all printed on a series of 8.5x11" pages fitting the maximum number of images on each page. In case you're wondering, the '2x2 Cells' template that comes in Lightroom doesn't work for me because you can't quite get the size up to 4x6".
Can anyone help me? I have Lightroom 2 and Lightroom 1.4. I also have Photoshop CS3 and can't figure out how to do it there either (though I'd prefer to stay in Lightroom the whole time). I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3 and I have a Canon S900 printer using Epson Premium Semi gloss Photo Paper.

    >I was afraid that was the answer. It seems like such a basic need for photographers to print 4x6's and efficiently use paper.
Believe me, you're not the first to ask about this.
    >Jao--what's a minilab? Do you mean sending them out to print either online or at a physical store?
Either. They typically use the exact same machines. I use costcos for supercheap prints with a quality that is hard to match using your own printer. They even provide profiles that give you superb color. The only problem is that you don't have a choice of papers the same way you have at home and that the gamut is a little smaller than a very good inkjet. I use several more pro services too for better papers and only occasionally print myself. Usually making me curse at the EPSON clogging inkjets (TM) make-me-lose-twice-the-amount-of-ink-per-print-as-advertised feature. Printing myself costs me 4 to 5 times as much as labs and that is when Lightroom behaves and doesn't without warning start double managing the color. Sometimes you want that personal attention though or that art paper and then the cost of the print is often negligible with respect to the sale.

  • Deskjet 6988dt, how to use photo/envelope slot for printing 4x6 photo paper?

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.  Printer has the extra250 sheet paper tray.  Upper and lower tray work fine.  I can of course load photo paper in upper tray and print photos from there, but I was trying to load just one sheet of photo paper in the little slot since I don't want to have photo paper loaded all the time.  Since I have to use the generic Windows driver for this printer as HP doesn't have a driver update for this printer and Windows 7, the only selections I'm seeing in printer properties is "automatic, upper, lower".  I've tried all three of those settings and none take the paper from the little slot where I'm manually feeding the 4x6 photo paper.  What am I doing wrong?  Could it be that this feature just isn't enabled with the generic Windows driver?
The reference/instruction documentation that came with this printer is very sparse.  I can't find any instruction on how to use the photo/evelope slot.  In fact I'd say overall the documentation is very poor.
I just checked the HP site, still no Windows 7 64-bit driver available.
Thanks for any help or ideas.

Found a .pdf document on line for the Desjet 6980 series printers. Much more comprehensive than what came with the printer.
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00591373.pdf
Follow these steps to use the photo/envelope feeder to print a single photo:
    1. Insert the photo paper into the photo/envelope feeder with the side to be printed on
    facing down.
    2. Gently push the photo paper into the photo/envelope feeder as far as it will
    comfortably go.
    3. Slide the photo/envelope feeder forward as far as it will go.
    4. Print the photo.
Problem was, although I was inserting the 4x6 photo paper into the feeder, I wasn't pushing the little plastic slide forward.

  • Hp ENVY 5660 won't feed from the 4x6 tray!

Just set up the new wireless printer and all communications are working well, but.....when attempting to print 4x6 photo's, it won't select the 4x6 photo paper tray. Both the regular paper and the 4x6 photo paper trays are filled, but not over full. When we set printer preferences, we set 4x4, paper type, etc..but aren't seeing any other options. It will print 4x6 on a full sheet of paper all day, but not feed from the 4x6 tray. Please help! We don't feel like we are device illiterate, but this one has us stumped!

Hi @burly1, and welcome to the HP Forums! I understand you're having issues with your tray selection. I'd like to help! I would recommend running a copy throught the printer, but select copy - photo tray.  Do you have any issues printing a photocopy on photo paper? I'd also suggest performing a power reset on the printer.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar. I'd then suggest downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor. Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • After software update, Epson Artisan printers will not print 4x6

    Hi all,
After updating the Epson drivers to the latest Apple-Provided version (Via software update), neither my Artisan 837 or Artisan 835 will print to Epson Premium Glossy 4 x 6 photo ppaper. Both worked prior to the update.
I have everything set correctly in the software (nothing changed after the update) but both printers act as if they have a hardware issue now. They cannot grab the 4x6 paper and after trying for a while, they give me a generic error saying there is either a paper jam or there is no paper in the tray.
This is really weird. I can hear the printers clicking away and trying to feed a sheet to print, but neither can grab the 4 x 6 and print.
They both work just fine with 8.5 x 11.
    Any thoughts?

Snow Leopard is not a download. Did you install it from disk? What OS did you have before?
You may want to check on Epson's web site to see if they have an updated driver.
    Best of luck.
