3.5mm AV connector

My mobile specs say it has a 3.5mm AV connector. Does that mean it has a TV out? I have a C3. 2690 has the same feature listed.

Whats the "AV" supposed to mean.
Hi Flashsters,
As Scoobyman mentioned, there was no any mention of it being compatible with the C3 and 2690 due to lack of inboard tv-out.
Even it fits, it will never work.

  • Belle and the 3,5mm headphone connector

With symbian Anna i had set "Headset" as default for the 3,5mm connector. After plugging in a stereo 3,5mm cable, my N8 asked me what mode i wanted (so i was able to chose from "Headphones" and "Music stand").
With Nokia Belle it always uses the default option even if that would be "Headset". If i want to switch from "Headphones" to "Music stand" i have to change the default option before plugging in.
Is there a way to set nothing as default so the phone asks for a connection mode when plugging in a 3,5mm connector?

Doesn't look like you can. When you plug in some headphones it automatically goes into that mode regardless. TV-out has stopped working as well, even if it's set as default the phone still goes into headphone mode.

  • Car FM Stereo Connector 30-Pin vs 3.5mm Earphone

I have an iPhone 4 and I am trying to buy below Car FM Stereo adaptor.  This one connects to the iPhone 3.5mm earphone connector instead of Apple 30-pin.  I don't really want something that works with iPhones only, but works with other smartphone, so I prefer 3.5mm RCA connector (haven't decided which upgrade phone I want yet).
In iPhone 4, do you have to use the Apple 30-pin for the audio or can you use 3.5mm RCA as well?   If you can, are there any quality degradation?

    Thanks in advance,

I've always used an RCA cable to my AUX jack. Perfectly pleased with the sound quality.

  • 2006 BMW 325 with built in ipod/mps connector ????

Ok, I'm stumped. I just took ownership of a new 2006 BMW 325xi with the "built in" ipod/mp3 connector. It's a small headphone like (I assu,e 3.5mm) jack and I can't find ANY information on what cable to use with it. Is there a dock like connector to 3.5mm headphone connector or do I plug it in as if the BMW was a headphone?
Does anyone have any information on these new built in connectors that BMW is using ? Specifically what freaking connector do I use ?
    TIA,
    Peter

Well, I found the answer, the new 2006 iPod/mp3 adapter is a generic plug, a std stereo 3.5mm connector comes out of the iPod and goes into a 3.5mm stereo jack and plays through the aux port on the BMW's radio. Its not a digital connector so all you can control is the volume not the playlist etc. This is less than optimal and not exacgtly what I would have envisioned but its there and it works.
Not quite what II as hoping for but,,,,

  • 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapters difference

    Hello,
does anybody know what the difference between AD-44 (http://europe.nokia.com/A4486274) and AD-54 (http://europe.nokia.com/A4487137)?
they look very similar, but compatibility list is absolutely different...
another thing I cannot understand - why AD-44 is not compatible with, for example, 3500c while it also has S40 and 2.5mm AV-connector...
Message Edited by argd on 30-Nov-2008 06:39 PM

AD-44 is a 2.5mm connection into the phone and the HS-44 has a 3.5mm connection into the AD-44.
AD-54 is a 3.5mm connection into the phone and the HS-45 has a 3.5mm connection into the AD-54.
The reason for the compatibility only on certain phones is that the phone has to have the necessary protocols that support the functionality of the AD-44/54 such as the music controls and answer end call.

  • IPhone lightening to USB and 3.5mm audio cable

I'm trying to connect my iphone 5 to my 2007 BMW Z4. I'm looking for a cable adapter like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Car-Charger-Adapter-3-5mm-Audio-Connector-Cable-for- iPod-iPhone-3G-3GS-4-4S-/230753349457. But with the lightening connector instead of the older 30-pin style. I'm using the small 30/Lightening adapter now -which works - but wan to switch to a new ProClips holder that doesn't have room for the 30-pin adapter and connector.

From Amazon. Everyone can't be lying. But hey I gave it a shot for you. Good luck.

Was looking for a cable for my iphone 4 bumper case, the old cable will get stuck and not be able to push all the way in. And this cable works great!
Cable quality is very nice as well. If you have iphone bumper case and wants a stereo cable this is the one!

  • 6300 Stereo Wired Headset Connector & HS-47 (poor ...

I recently bought a 6300 as a replacement for a 6230i but am really disapointed by the quality of the supplied wired stereo headset (HS-47) which connectes via a 2.5mm AV connector. The phone has a nice music player and can be expanded to 2G memory but without a decent headset why bother. The nice quality Wired Stereo Fashion Headset (HS-23) (or HS-3) that comes with the 6230i connects via the Pop-Port which has gone from the 6300. The N95 has a 3.5mm connector and no pop-port.
I looked for a decent headset that comes with a 2.5mm connector but can't find one. So my recommendation is don't buy a 6300 expecting to use it as a music phone unless you are happy with the poor quality supplied headset or want to get bluetooth stereo headsets. These are not for me as they are too big and the battery life is terrible.
If anyone can recommend a decent wired stereo headset with a 2.5mm AV connector please let me know.
And Nokia please can we have a new accessory an HS-23 with a 2.5mm plug to fix a 6300.

The One simple solution I can give you is to get a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter from your neighbouthood mobile market, and use it with Transcend or Sony Ericsson 3.5 mm headsets. You can also buy HS-20 Nokia headset and use with the 3.5 mm adapter... Happy Listening.............

your issue is not really an ipad or ios spc issue there are with 100% many guides only about getting broken 3.5mm minijack connectors out of the connectors

i would like to know if there is an app for an fm tuner or a way to get it.. our local hockey team brodcast over 88.7 and would like a way to tune in with my iphone 4 to hear the play.

headsets which use the norma 3.5mm minijack connector so they work with ios devices

  • My mac is catching tv/radio signals!!!

    hello.
i plugged in my speaker wire to my macbook to play it on surround sound. while i was adjusting the 3.5mm male connector suddenly sound tv or radio sound started coming from the speakers. i couldnt figure out whether it was tv sound or radio. there is a cable tv socket just behind my mac.can anyone explain what is happening!?

This will happen if one of the conductors in your 3.5 mm connector is not connecting properly. I suspect that that plug / cable is defective and should be replaced. If replacing the cable does not remedy the problem then I would suspect the wiring to the jack in the MacBook, but it is more likely the speaker wire/plug.

  • My headphone is not working

i have just noticed that my headphone are not working

test them in a computer or other device with a 3.5mm minijack headset connector it's very widely used
if you by doing that verify that your headset is broken then if it's under warranty return it under warrenty
if not then recycle the headset and buy a new pair or live without a headset or use a normal 3.5mm minijack connector and do without the mic bit

  • Iphone ear buds install in ear

Is there a site I can go to that has a good video on how to put my Iphone 5s ear buds in my ears? Can;t seem to make them stay in ear the way I am doing it. Thanks

people have diffence shaped and sized ears
if you don't use the mic and buttons you can use any headset with a 3.5mm minijack connector which is pretty much what all headset since the 1980's use
if you do use the buttons and mic then there are other headsets then the ones that cones with the phone which you can buy

  • Audigy digital out to pioneer vsx-1015 A/V receiver/amplif

Hello, I have audigy 2, it has the digital out 3.5mm streo connector, when I connect it with 3.5mm stereo plug - > RCA chord, and the RCA plug into my amplifier, it produces no sound at all. I have set audigy to pass through mode, but nothing happens? Do I need to change my audiocard to get SPDIF correctly out? I read somewhere that it doesn?t matter if the 3.5mm plug is stereo or mono, or does it's

Do I need this kind of adapter: http://www.bdog.fi/cgi-bin/netstore/...=0887500004423 (sorry in finnish, but you get the point) to convert digital out to RCA spdif?

  • Video out for N81?

Does the 3.5mm 'AV Connector' on the N81 really support video out? If so, how do you get this to work? I can't find anything in the documentation about this...

There is no video out (TV-out) support on the N81 (which also explains why there's nothing about it in the documentation, and why there's no TV-out cable in the N81 sales box).
