3 attributes, 1 value

If an attribute from an authoritative source is required in different formats for other resources, does the formatting work have to occur when running synchronization on the auth source? In other words, say for a 10-digit phone number I need to save just the last 4 digits for one resource ("dddd") and another resource requires it as ("ddd-dddd"). Would my input form/workflow for the auth source be required to set 3 attributes: 'user.global.phone_10', 'user.global.phone_4' and 'user.global.phone_7'?
Am I missing an equivalent to an input form/workflow for processing creates and updates for the 2 non-authoratative sources? I would prefer to run formatting closer to the resource requiring the specific format.
Thanks.

I do this by splitting up the user form into several files and then including them.
A simple example. Say you have a Resource ResA that ActiveSync runs against. In ResA there is a field firstname in Normalcase while ResB requires the firstname in UPPERCASE and ResC in lowercase.
Heres the code for the ActiveSync user form for ResA (and do NOT use populate global!):
<Include>
  <ObjectRef type='UserForm' name='ResB-UserForm' />
  <ObjectRef type='UserForm' name='ResC-UserForm' />
</Include>
<FormRef name='ResB-UserForm' />
<FormRef name='ResC-UserForm' />ResB-UserForm:
<Field name='accounts[ResB].firstname'>
    <Expansion>
        <upcase><ref>activeSync.firstname</upcase>
    </Expansion>
</Field>ResC-UserForm:
<Field name='accounts[ResB].firstname'>
    <Expansion>
        <downcase><ref>activeSync.firstname</downcase>
    </Expansion>
</Field>Does this sound like a viable approach?

  • Passing attribute value in session variable

    Hi All
    I need to store one field value from my SIM form as a session variable and pass them to the next page along with my session, using some jscript stuff or else. Does this make sense?
    If it is possible or anyone have any prior experience please reply.
    Thanks in advance

    We have tested a code-snippet that 'gets' attribute-values from the session:
    <invoke name='getAttribute'>
        <invoke name='getHttpSession'>
            <ref>:display.state</ref>
        </invoke>
        <s>attribute_name</s>
    </invoke>You can try 'setAttribute' in the similar way.

    Hi Jaya,
    You want to catch Flexfield values?
    Try below code for catch value.
    OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
    if (pageContext.getParameter("queryBtn")!= null)
    OADescriptiveFlexBean dfb = (OADescriptiveFlexBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("flexDFF"); //get the DFF bean
    OAWebBean dffbean = (OAWebBean)dfb.findChildRecursive("flexDFF0"); //get the field that applies to the attribute1 column that is being rendered
    OAMessageStyledTextBean Stylebean = (OAMessageStyledTextBean)dffbean;
    String dtlsItem  = (String)Stylebean.getText(pageContext);
    /*  here creating  the hashmap and calling the page with the hashmap*/

  • Not getting all the attributes value from Trusted Recon in eventhandler

    Hi,
    I am not getting the values of all the attributes in hashmap from Trusted recon in eventhandler.
    Following is the hashmap value I am getting :
    Parameter Hashmap value is {re_key=1869, Email=[email protected], Role=Full-Time, act_key=22, User Login=TUser43, Xellerate Type=End-User, Last Name=User43, First Name=Test}
    Please let me know how to get all the attributes value in eventhandler. I need to take some decisions based on these attributes.
    Thanks

    You should be getting all the values in the recon event.
    To get the current user states for all the records in the bulk event use this:
    Identity[] currentUserStates = (Identity[]) eventDataHashMap.get("CURRENT_USER");
    Now when you are looping through your bulkParametersp[], you can use the same get from the currentUserStates:
    Identity currentUser = null;
    currentUser = currentUserStates[counter];
    Now if the attribute is not in your hashmap, you can use:
    currentUserState.getAttributes().get(attribute)

  • How to get attribute value from standard page ?

    Hi,
    How to get attribute value from standard page ?
    String str = (String)vo.getCurrentRow().getAttrbute("RunId");
    But this value is returning a null value ....
    Can anyone help me to get this attribute value which is actually having a actual value .

    getCurrentRow() would always return null if no setCurrentRow() is used.
    Please check the page design and understand how many rows of VO are there. You can also use the following to get the row:
    vo.reset();
    vo.next();

  • How to get attribute value from an object inside an object in Xpress

    Does anyone know how to get an attribute value from an object in Xpress in a workflow? I have an object structured as follows:
    <ResourceInfo accountId='mj628' tempId='3483372b787ce7dd:-5d99a0c5:130cb238483:-3600'>
    <ObjectRef type='Resource' name='Google Apps'/>
    </ResourceInfo>
    I need if possible to get the name='Google Apps', which is inside the ObjectRef, so I guess its an attribute value of an object inside an object.

    If the ResourceInfo object is accessible in a variable, i.e. named "myResInfo", you just have to check the Java API and call the relevant method:
    <invoke name='getResourceName'>
      <ref>myResInfo</ref>
    </invoke>

  • Attributes and attribute values for a Product

    Hi all
    Is there any table or FM from where I can get a list of all the attributes and the attribute values linked to a particular product?

    Could anyoe please provide me an FM which will give the attribute and its values for a particular product?
    Please help!!

    Attributes created under s settype will be under the table with the name of that particular settype itself i.e Table name and the settype name are the same.
    The other part of your question of where to find the list of all settypes and their corresposing attributes, you can make use of COMM_PR_FRG_REL.

  • How can I access the Attribute Values from the Search Region

    Hi all,
    I have a table which contains Company id, department id, and PositonId. For a particular Company and Department there may be multiple records.
    I have to pupulate a table which contains the position and other details that comes under a particular Department and Position based on the selection in the Three comboBoxes.
    Also I have to populate a select many Shuttle to add new postions and records under a particular Department.
    I created a query panel *(Search Region)* for the serch and a table to display the data. That is working fine.
    Now the issue is I am using a view criteria to populate the shuttle with two bind variables ie, DepartmentId and CompanyId.
    If the serach will return a resuktant set in the table it will also pupulate the correct records, otherwise ie, if the if the serch result is empty the corresponding iterator and the attribute is setting as null.
    SO I want to access the attribute values from the Search Region itsef to populate the shuttle.
    I don't know how can I access the data from the Search Region.
    Please Help.
    Regards,
    Ranjith

    you could access the parameters entered in search region by the user as follows:
    You can get handle to the value entered by the user using queryListener method in af:query.
    You can intercept the values entered as described
    public void onQueryList(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // The generated QueryListener replaced by this method
    //#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}
    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    //get the name of the QueryCriteria
    System.out.println("NAME "+qdes.getName());
    List<Criterion> searchList = qdes.getConjunctionCriterion().getCriterionList();
    for ( Criterion c : searchList) {
    if (c instanceof AttributeCriterion ) {
    AttributeCriterion a = (AttributeCriterion) c;
    a.getValues();
    for ( Object o : a.getValues()){
    System.out.println(o.toString());
    //call default Query Event
    invokeQueryEventMethodExpression("#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}",queryEvent);
    public void onQueryTable(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // The generated QueryListener replaced by this method
    //#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}
    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    //get the name of the QueryCriteria
    System.out.println("NAME "+qdes.getName());
    invokeQueryEventMethodExpression("#{bindings.ImplicitViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}",queryEvent);
    private void invokeQueryEventMethodExpression(String expression, QueryEvent queryEvent){
    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ELContext elctx = fctx.getELContext();
    ExpressionFactory efactory = fctx.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
    MethodExpression me = efactory.createMethodExpression(elctx,expression, Object.class, new Class[]{QueryEvent.class});
    me.invoke(elctx, new Object[]{queryEvent});

  • How to get attribute values from one view to another

    HI all,
    Thx in Advance..
    I have 2 view like v1,v2.In v1 i used one attribute values from "get single attribute" method.And i need the same values in v2 screen.For this i did in v1 outbound plugs , i mentioned the parameter name . How can i get the same values in  v2.

    Hi chandru ,
    you said you declare the parameters in the Outbound Plug of V1.  now go to view V2 inbound plug Tab and creat one inbound plug
    double click on the plug name .it will navigate you to the event handeler method . Now add the outbound parameter variables in the
    parameters
    For example : V1firing the navigation plug
    a type string " defined in parameter
      wd_this->fire_out_to_view2_plg(
        a =      'ABCD'                           " string
    you can retrive the value freely in v2 inbound event handeler
    a type string " defined in parameter
    *   set single attribute
        lo_el_context->set_attribute(
          name =  `TEXT`
          value =  a )." here you will get the 'ABCD'.

  • ImportNode() does not import attribute values

    I want to import one part of xml document into another xml document. I use the Document.importNode() method to do this. Here's my code snippet:
    Document newdoc = db.newDocument();
    Node importedNode = newdoc.importNode(xmlnode,true);
    But as the result the xml part is copied into importedNode, but attribute values are empty. What do I do wrong? I'm really lost, so thanks for ANY help.

    Well, the importNode() method should do this. But while using Xerces (I must use this one (currently in 1.4.4 version), not any other parser) you'll find out there is a bug in this method. It could work for you (maybe), but for me it just removes all the attribute values. So I'm still looking for an answer.
    I wrote one very simple (not generic, which is enough for my case) method to just hack the behaviour, and I entered bug to Xerces bugzilla, but nobody cares ;O( for it. Sad, but true.

  • OBIEE Report based on attribute dim or say base attribute value

    Hi,
    I have OBIEE and Essbase implementation and have set of attribute dimensions. I am trying to understand how can I create reports in OBIEE where I can use the attribute values to filter, group, sum my fact data. For example I have a hierarchy for Dimension Supplier Geography as below -
    Geography (Gen1 - Dimension)
    (Gen2, Region)
    (Gen3, Country)
    (Gen4, Supplier Parent)
    (Gen5, Supplier) (Attribute as Company Name)
    Sample :
    Supplier Geography
    -- East
    -- C1
    -- PS1
    -- S1 (Comp1)
    -- S2 (Comp2)
    -- West
    -- C2
    -- PS2
    -- S3 (Comp1)
    -- S4 (Comp2)
    -- C3
    -- PS3
    -- S5 (Comp3)
    -- S6 (Comp4)
    -- North
    -- C4
    -- PS4
    -- S7 (Comp3)
    -- S8 (Comp4)
    -- South
    -- C5
    -- PS5
    -- S9 (Comp1)
    -- S10 (Comp2)
    Now, I would like to report where I can display information based on the attribute and display across different level. This would require to create drop down for this attribute values. For example -
    A drop down showing values are Comp1, Comp2, Comp3, Comp4. When user selects Comp1 and assume that I have fact as sales amount, it should show report as below -
    Comp1
    Region Sales Amount
    East - 10,000
    West - 5,000
    South - 7,000
    I don't want to add a level as company as it would result in lot of redundant information. Also, I have got almost half million members and it would explode the size if I add more levels. Is there any better way to achieve this? Can I model this using alternate hierarchy? If so how would this exposed in OBIEE again?
    Appreciate your inputs.
    Thanks

    If you are sure of the number of attributes the user will be using as criteria is fixed and will not change, you should able to bind the literals to page items like:
    select emp.ename
    from emp
    join attribute_value a1 on a1.empno = emp.empno and a1.att_name = 'DEPT'
    join attribute_value a2 on a2.empno = emp.empno and a2.att_name = 'SALARY'
    join attribute_value a3 on a3.empno = emp.empno and a3.att_name = 'HIREDATE'
    where a1.att_numeric_value = :P1_dept_value
    and   a2.att_numeric_value = :P1_salary_value
    and   a3.att_date_value = to_date(:P1_hiredate_value,'YYYY-MM-DD');or
    select emp.ename
    from emp
    join attribute_value a1 on a1.empno = emp.empno and a1.att_name = :P1_att1_name
    join attribute_value a2 on a2.empno = emp.empno and a2.att_name = :P1_att2_name
    join attribute_value a3 on a3.empno = emp.empno and a3.att_name = :P1_att3_name
    where a1.att_numeric_value = :P1_att1_value
    and   a2.att_numeric_value = :P1_att2_value
    and   a3.att_date_value = to_date(:P1_att3_value,'DD-MM-DD');What happens when your user wants to add another attribute and use it as search criteria. You have to:
    1) add a JOIN clause to the SELECT
    2) add to the WHERE clause to the SELECT
    Warning personal opinion to follow: I would give up binding (i.e.. skipping parsing os the SELECT statement) for the flexibility of generating the SELECT at runtime. If the user adds a new attribute, then the PL/SQL code that assembles the SELECT statement would not have to be changed. All the meta data is stored in the database as to what the new column is and which column in the attributes table to use (ATT_NUMERIC_VALUE or ATT_DATE_VALUE). If your method of displaying the attributes and receiving the user's criteria is dynamic like my example, then you would not have to change the application at all for new attributes.
    Just my 2 cents worth of opinion,
    Mike

    http://blogs.technet.com/b/sharepointdevelopersupport/archive/2013/09/05/how-to-deploy-a-provider-hosted-app-as-an-azure-site.aspx
    However after publishing the webservice doesnt work I get this exception:

    Hi,
    The issue here is the mapping of the interface to the service in question, and usually points to a possible mistype or rename of something within your service architecture.
    You need to make sure your namespace and service name here match your service name itself.
    For detailed information, you could refer to:

  • Invalid Attribute value Exception while adding Timestamp Attribute value

    Good Day friends,
    I'm using IBM Directory Server 4.1 LDAP to maintain the Online User Registeration for a Web Application. I need to store the Timestamp at the time user registers, so that another java application of mine can delete non-active users within specific amount of time. But when i provide a value for "createTimestamp" attribute in LDAP using Java sql class object Timestamp, it gives me a exception of InvalidAttributeValueException. I tried inserting the entry with String, but without success. What is the type or format for createTimestamp Attribute? How i can bind a time or date object to this object? Any Help or Suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in Advance. Cheers..!!
    The source code is as follows:
    public void createUserProfile(String afname, String alname, String aemail, String apassword) {
              String fname, lname, email, password;
              fname = afname;
              lname = alname;
              email = aemail;
              password = apassword;
              Date regDate = new Date();
              //java.sql.Time tsObj = new java.sql.Time(regDate.getTime());
              Timestamp tsObj = new Timestamp(regDate.getTime());
              String strTS = tsObj.toString();
              System.out.println("Created Date: "+tsObj);

    myAttrs.put(new BasicAttribute("lastModifiedTime", cal));
