When you appear to be logged on, tap Settings > WiFi and then tap the blue ">" next to the network name (which should have a check mark next to it). If your IP address starts with 169.x then the router is not properly issuing you an IP address. If it starts with another number, say 192.168.x.x, the scroll down and make sure there is an entry for the DNS server. In many instances, this will be the same IP address as the router.
Is the Wifi address you are connecting to open or encrypted? You will see either an open lock or closed lock depending on whether or not it is encrypted. Since you are getting a log in screen, one of two things could be happening. It could be an open network with a log in screen that requires you to agree to the terms of service of the website. If that is the case, hit the accept button.
However, if the closed lock is present and you are being prompted for a user name and password, you are going to have to ask the network administrator for the logon instructions for the website. It sounds like someone decided an open network was a poor idea. Maybe you can get them to reconsider and allow patients access.

  • Mp3 doesn´t start but blue light is still

i wanted to charge my mp3 (zen 30gb) but took a wrong cable. now i can't start the mp3 and there?s no sign on the screen. still the blue light is working. i also can't connect it to the pc.
do you know what to do?

I did the same thing. Tried to use a power adapter that was unsuitable and I was left with the blue light stuck on my Zen Vision:M. I tried resetting the player, I got in touch with the Creative Support team but they weren't interested because I'm out of warranty. I've opended up the player and the battery is registering a charge, so I think that's OK. If I have indeed damaged my player do you know anywhere in the UK (preferably North West) where I can take it to get it checked out/fixed.

Thanks for that 'sberman' - because my iPhone is backed-up to my work computer (only at this stage) I have had to call our IT Department in Adleaide. (4 times this morning). The last guy managed to get the phone into 'DFU Mode' - no more recovery mode screen - (kind of 'asleep' perhaps) from my understanding of same. I am awaiting a call again from IT so they can get my computer to actually recognise my iPhone on the C Drive. This also happened to  one of my colleagues in Newman (WA). She got so frustrated with the whole process that she bought another phone the next time she was in 'civilisation.' She hasn't had any problems since. (Cross fingers).
    Thanks again, Sandra2474.

I am attempting to re sync my iPad2 with my macbook pro iTunes and i get all the way to where it tells me to connect to iTunes...which my iTunes on my macbook sees as connected, yet my iPad still tells me to connect to iTunes...AND yet it is connected..HELP

Your iPad is going to show "Connect to iTunes" screen until you either set it up successfully or restore it. If you've already set your iPad up in the past, "Connect to iTunes" typically indicates the iPad is in Recovery Mode and you must restore it.

  • Toshiba 56HM195 picture and sound shut off; blue light still on

The sound and picture will randomly shut off together but the blue light on the front under the screen stays on.  The tv will not respond to the remote or the buttons on the side.  I have to unplug then plug it back in and it will work fine for several hours before doing it again.  I have tried replacing the lamp but that did not change anything.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

Try leaving the TV unplugged from power over night. If the problem persists, it may require servicing.

  • HELP ME Please ! No Blue Lights on both of my WRTU54G-TM Routers behind a WRT54GX2 Router

I've had this configuration installed and working for the past two months as such:
Motorola Cable Modem - COX Cable ISP - 15Mbps down / 5Mbps up ; actual rated is higher on speedtest.net
Linksys Router - WRT54GX2 (I'll refer to this as main Router)
Linksys T-Mobile Router - WRTU54G-TM - with 2 SIM cards (this is VOIP router 2 for two lines)
Linksys T-Mobile Router - WRTU54G-TM - with 1 SIM card (this is VOIP router 1 for one line)
    Network Topology:
Main Router:     192.168.2.1    router mode ;  DHCP ON; Wireless ON - SSID: alpha
VOIP Router 2:  192.168.2.2   bridged mode; DHCP off; Wireless ON - SSID: beta
VOIP Router 1:  192.168.2.3   bridged mode; DHCP off: Wireless off
Both VOIP Routers connected from Internet Port on Router to LAN port on a 10/100 switch
All of this was working fine for the past two months, it even survived some Southern California power outages and came back with flying colors; UNTIL YESTERDAY...... VOIP Router 1 blue light ceased in the morning - Troubleshot it myself and then with tmobile/Linksys and verdict was a defective modem.  VOIP Router 2 was still going strong UNTIL I decided to power cycle it to see if that would help with VOIP Router 1; well the blue lights never came back on;  To make a long story short - after pulling my hair out and talking to tmobile/Linksys again; I was able to get the blue lights to come on both VOIP Router 1 and VOIP Router 2 if I connected one of them directly to the cable modem and the other VOIP Router  2 directly to VOIP Router 1.  I also did a hard reset on both VOIP routers back to factory defaults (did this before as well). Now,  I can't even have a switch between VOIP ROUTER 1 and 2 and get a blue light on the second one.  What in the world could be causing this, does anyone have a clue?
Now you may ask why do I need it setup like I had it originally, Cable Modem is downstairs ; Main Router downstairs was in place to isolate the Network from the VOIP Routers in case I needed to reboot the VOIP routers - which I had to do a few times in those two months. So I still had Internet access in the house when I rebooted the VOIP routers.  I also wanted my phones upstairs, not downstairs and that is where the VOIP routers were situated.
I've searched thru this forum and googled elsewhere, but haven't found any solutions that work.
So can anybody help ?????  TIA

OK, Here's an UPDATE, I believe that I have found a firmware bug in the WRTU54G-TM  v1.00.21 code.
In order to get the blue lights on two WRTU54G-TM Routers, VPN - IPSEC passthru must be enabled on the 1st Router, or else the blue lights will not come on the 2nd Router.
fyi...  I have 3 sim cards in the 2 Routers for 3 phone lines, 1 Sim card slot is empty.
I reset both WRTU54G-TM Routers to factory default and plugged one  directly in to the cable modem and the second WRTU54G-TM into the first.  I rebooted the cable modem and routers in order and in a few minutes, I had 3 blue lights for voice on the routers (YES!).  Ok, so now I tried reconfiguring the Routers the way I want them.  I only need wireless on one of them, not both, so I turn off the wireless on the first router, I also disable all 3 VPN passthrough options on both routers and disable the firewall on the 2nd router.  Now I lose the blue lights on the 2nd Router.   Well after some troubleshooting, I have found that the IPSEC VPN passthru option MUST be enabled on the 1st Router to get the blue lights on the 2nd Router.  I have reproduced this very easily by disabling the IPSEC on the first Router and the blue lights will go off on the 2nd Router -  I have to re-enable the IPSEC on the 1st router and reboot the 2nd Router for the blue lights to come back on the 2nd Router.
    Thanks, Tom

Using excel connection to load data to SQL Server When I try doing this character data is loading as nulls, I have tried by putting IMEX=1 property in connection string and removing IMEX=1 property from connection string , in both cases it is showing nulls,
in the data viewer which i have placed after Excel source. I have also tried using the OPENROWSET which for some reason does not create an adhoc connection. I also tried changing the Datatypes in the advanced editor which again throws error. I tried all possible
ways of fixing this issue but no luck yet. Could you please help resolve this. For some reason SSIS excel connection reads only the first 8 rows and decides a datatype and rest showup NULL.

The problem with your data is that Excel is attempting to guess the data type of the columns.  By default, the TypeGuessRows property is set to 8, which means it will sample the first eight rows.  In your data, the first eight rows are all numbers,
so Excel interprets the entire column as numeric.  When it encounters text, it decides it can't convert text to numbers, so it provides SSIS with a NULL.
IMEX has no effect in the above scenario (with the default TypeGuessRows value) because IMEX applies when Excel finds "mixed types" in the columns - and in your case (with eight rows) it does not.
TypeGuessRows can be modified (as Reza suggested) but only for values from 0 to 16.  In your specific case, setting it to 16 would have an effect.  Excel would read your file, see some numeric AND text values, and decide those columns have "mixed
types".  NOW the IMEX attribute comes into play.  If you DON'T specify IMEX=1, then Excel will choose a data type based on majority wins.  In your specific case, it would still choose numeric for column A and column B, because most of the values
in the first 16 rows are numeric.  If you specify IMEX=1, then Excel behaves differently.  Instead of "majority wins", if multiple data types are detected, it ALWAYS picks text.
So - in your specific case, with this specific file, increasing TypeGuessRows to 13 or more, AND using IMEX=1 will allow you to read both columns as text, and not receive NULLs.

  • Ipad 2 screen randomly gone blank shows dark blue light up but no apple logo upon restart and remains the same.

    Hey
So I left my Ipad 2 on charge and it was working absolutely fine. Later on when I came in the room to check up on it, it had a blank screen and the Ipad was lit in the background as it was giving off the dark blue light but nothing on the screen would come up. I tried shutting it down using the power button and the home button yet nothing. Even the Apple logo would not appear. I just recently upgraded to IOS 6. I'm not sure what exactly caused this as it was working fine just a few hours ago. I've tried connecting to itunes held down the power and home button nothing seems to be working. Also I no longer have the warrenty.
Not sure what to do now

    Perform a Reset... Try again...

  • WRTU54G-TM Internet / Blue-light & XP SP3 Issues

So I've been wrestling with getting the WRTU54G-TM maintain a constant internet and "blue light" connection now for over a month.  I thought I had finally stabilized the situation (downloaded the set-up wizard from the Linksys site, as others recommended) and used that to set up the router, and everything seemed to be rock solid for a week or so.
Then I installed both iTunes 8 (which installs the new version of the Bonjour service) and XP Service Pack 3 in the same weekend, and now the WRTU54G-TM gets flaky every time I turn on my computer (it's fine when the computer is off).
At first I thought it was the Apple Bonjour application, but after un-installing that, the WRTU54G-TM was still flaky.  I then upgraded the router to the latest firmware version (v1.00.09), but still no luck.  The router will lose the internet connection (and the blue light), and after a few minutes the connection will come back and the blue light will come back a few minutes after that (at least no power cycle is needed).
So I'm left wondering if XP SP3 is what is now causing the problem and is doing something to mess with the router connectivity.
Does anyone know of SP3 issues with the WRTU54G-TM and how to resolve these?
    Thanks!
    Ian

I did a little bit more research and found that XP SP3 is indeed causing a number of routers to crash and reboot (which is what I'm experiencing when my computer is on).
Apparently there is some issue involving DCHP and "Option 43" which can cause some routers to reboot.  There's more information and a hotfix here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953761 which I'm going to try tonight (crossing my fingers) and hopefully it will solve the problem...

  • Can see wireless network, excellent signal, yet no internet....Help!!

I have a wireless network that has been working fine for the last couple years.  About a month ago, I ran into this issue:  my laptops all see my network, register excellent signal, yet I can't do anything, access internet, my work VPN, etc.  I had unplugged the phone/DSL connection at the wall to do some painting, and it hasn't worked since.  I have a linksys router and worked with them to reconfigure it, but still no go.  Any ideas??
    Thanks!!

I can only connect to the internet with a wired connection to the DSL modem.  When I try a wired connection directly to the router, it shows a LAN connection 100.0 Mbps, packets in and out, but Page Cannot Be Displayed.  Similarly, my wireless shows connected, excellent signal, 54.0 Mbps, heavy packets in, but very little out and cannot get to Internet.  Is the router bad?  If so, why do I see that I'm connected both wired and wireless??  Thanks for your assistance!

  • WRTU54G-TM try this to fix blue light problems, dropping service and disconnects

I spent a ton of time on the phone with T-Mobile, Linksys and the internet company to solve the problem of the router kicking off frequently.
The last suggestions, which has worked so far is to log into your router.  Change the MTU from automatic to manual and then type in 1450.  Save and it will reboot.  Wait until your back online and you should have NO problems.  Linksys says this is the workaround until tmobile releases the ok on new firmware.
if its blinking blue either call tmobile and have them deactivate the voicemail on that line or you need to set it up.
    Good luck.

    Hi,
I just started the t-Mobile @ Home service with the WRTU54G-TM router this weekend and had all sorts of issues with the router rebooting and dropping the blue-light.
I have AT&T DSL with a 5100 Speedstream modem.  Before getting the Linksys router, I had a 5 year old Netgear wireless router that had a rock solid internet connection - only dropped it 3 times over a 5 year period.
After having a full day off issues with the t-Mobile Linksys router, I decided to try reconfiguring my network so I had the Netgear router in between the Linksys and the modem.
I downloaded the latest set-up wizard from Linksys and ran it (and followed the instructions to the "t"), and chose the option to keep my existing network (with the netgear router) and add the t-Mobile Linksys router to the existing network.  Since the Linksys has better wireless and security features than the old Netgear router, I still have all my wireless traffic going through the Linksys (I turned off the wireless features of the Netgear router).  All the Netgear router is doing is keeping the internet connection alive.
So far (it's only been one day), I've seen a dramatic improvement - haven't lost the blue light once and everything seems to be running fine.  If you had an existing router that worked will prior to adding the T-mobile one, I would encourage you to try this set-up, since it has worked very well for me.

  • Excel Connection Manager suddenly can no longer connect to Excel from SSIS package

<p>During the last 3 months, I used 32 bit SSIS 2008 (v 10.50.2500.0) on an WinXp machine (v 5.1.2600 SP3 Build 2600) to create a package that writes multiple query results (reports) to an excel spreadsheet. Each report is written to a different
tabbed sheet in the same spreadsheet. </p><p>The package was&nbsp;working just fine until May 9 2013, when suddenly every single&nbsp;Data Flow task with an Excel Destination&nbsp;displayed error icons and raised the&nbsp;following
error message when opening the Advanced Editor:</p><p>SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80004005 Description: "Unspecified error". <br />Error at &lt;DataFlow task name&gt;: SSIS

was raising no errors), I did download and install the Microsoft ACE OLE DB 12.0 driver.&nbsp; That did not solve my problems with the first package.</p><p>I need to get this package running again ASAP as it is targeted for UAT testing in a
matter of days. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated!</p>

I submitted this issue above and now I am having the same problem again. I am using the same local computer, the same operating system (WinXp v 5.1.2600 SP3 Build 2600) as originally described. I am working with the same SSIS package that
writes multiple query results (reports) to an excel spreadsheet. This package has been successfully executed multiple times, but now I am suddenly getting the same error as follows:
Error at 1ConversionContacts [Connection manager "Excel Connection Manager"]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR.  An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80004005.
An OLE DB record is available.  Source: "Microsoft Access Database Engine"  Hresult: 0x80004005  Description: "Unspecified error".
Error at DFlow Write soft deleted duplicate claims to Excel sheet [Excel Destination - write duplicate claim nbrs that have been removed to Excel [61]]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER.  The AcquireConnection method
call to the connection manager "Excel Connection Manager" failed with error code 0xC0202009.  There may be error messages posted before this with more information on why the AcquireConnection method call failed.
The package will not run because of these multiple errors (multiple because it occurs on every single excel destination in the package).
I have Run64BitRuntime set to false on the project. I have triple checked that the excel file name (which I created and can access) exists with the correct name in the correct path, which is local on my machine. The file is the same file in the same
location as when the package worked.  I am running the SSIS service under my own network login, as I was when the package worked. I have been consistently getting this same error whenever I change my network password without updating the password
in the SSIS service, but I have triple verified that the service is using my latest password. If I try to open and edit the Excel Destination in any DataFlow task I get the same error. I can successfully create a new Excel Connection Manager pointing
to the same excel file. However if I try to assign the newly created Excel Connection Manager in the data flow, I cannot activate the drop down to choose the Excel sheet without getting an 'Unspecified error' message. I then swapped out
the file with its template version, and ensured the name was updated as correct. I still get the same errors.
Oh, and the SSIS package is extracting data from a SQL Server 2008 database with an ADO.net Connection Manager using Windows authentication. I have no problems with the SQL Server connection, it has always worked and still does.  It is only
the connection to excel output file which is locally stored on my machine.
Has anyone got any suggestions for me?

  • SSIS 2012: SSIS Error Code "Excel Connection Manager" failed with error code 0xC0202009.

    Hi,
This is kind of weird issue that I am experiencing with excel connection manager in SSIS 2012. This issue occurs sometimes but when I close and re-open SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools - newer BIDS) then this issues goes off temporarily.
Just FYI, through SSDT environment I executed the package successfully with both settings Run64bit runtime setting to Yes and No when error does not occur.
    So far I have installed
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255 (Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable).
I still remember for older versions of SQL Server (2005 & 2008) that I have executed Excel connection SSIS packages with Run64bit runtime = false i.e. in 32-bit mode. As far as I know I think Excel 64-bit issue has been resolved with SQL Server
    2012 release.
Here is the detail of error message:

    SQL Server 2012 {Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SP1) - 11.0.3368.0 (X64) } , Excel 2010 (32-bit). I am developing SSIS code on Virtual desktops with Windows 7 32-bit OS.
Also it occurred to me that since Virtual Desktops are on Shared Infrastructure, the source files and SSIS packages (code) can be on Shared drives for e.g. \\<Corpnet>\userdata\<Corp_Users_Grp>\<Username>\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\Integration
    Services Project2\Integration Services Project2\Package.dtsx.
Does this kind of Shared drives have any impact to give this issue?

P.S.: I had look at this forum question -->
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/903bbe1d-e070-4c43-9d3b-0a5193550029/64bit-error-in-excel-connection-manager-in-ssis

    Hi Arthur,
    Thanks for your response.
Yes, it looks like SSIS still has bunch of issues with Excel files like as follows:
    1) Some times excel source files cannot be parsed by excel source connection manager.
    2) For derive column conversion, we can't replace the existing column. rather, we have to add the derived column as " add as new column" which is tough to manage  while destination mapping.
    3) If an column in excel contains a data which is not of the data type assigned for the column in excel, the excel source reads that data as "null". For the same, we can't validate the data and redirect the erroneous data in reject file.  <-- For
this we tried IMEX setting also
    4) In multi-tab/sheet excel file, excel source is unable to detect a tab and identify the metadata of the excel.
I am also checking Microsoft connect for Excel issues with SSIS 2012(https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/SearchResults.aspx?SearchQuery=excel#&&PageIndex=22
As worst case scenario, I am thinking of converting Excel to CSV file or Flat text file. (http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/2772/importing-data-from-excel-using-ssis--part-2/).
Do you think it is advisable to convert Excel into CSV or Flat file.

I am using BIDS Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and running the package to load the data from excel .
My machine has 32 bit excel hence have set property to RUN64BITRUNTIME AS FALSE.
But the error still occurs .
I checked on Google and  many have used Delay validation property at Data flow task level to true but even using it at both excel connection manager and DFT level it doesnt work
