3 different iPhones on same apple id are all getting the same calls

My family and I are all on the same apple id with our iPhones. Right now whenever one of us gets a call, the other 2 do to. I was wondering how to get rid of that.

I think this article will help you:

Welcome to the Apple Community Willy.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    Restart your mobile device.

Welcome to the world of digital media. Your can't really transfer it. I don't know what the rules are about transferring to your spouse but I do know that in some cases when you die, your heirs cannot inherit your digital media. This is why there is still an advantage to buying the CD since the usage rights belong to whomever holds the physical media.
A possible workaround is to burn the songs to a music CD with yout account (tracks only without song titles) and then having your wife upload it as a regular music CD onto her account. It's been a while since i've done this so I'm not sure if it would work now.
Please note that I'm not advocating copyright and/or TOS violations. I'm only suggesting ways to copy music for your own personal use which has traditonally been permitted. I only did this because I wanted to convert iTunes songs to mp3 files so I could burn them onto a data CD for use in my car. It would make sense that since married couples are a joint entity, this would be personal use.
Also, I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice.

  • I have an iphone and an ipad (which are connected by the same apple id) i broke the phone and sold it but i didnt get to factory reset it because it was broken, is there any way for me to wipe my iphone from my ipad?

    Try this:
Open the "Find my iPhone" app on your iPad, fill in your AppleID and password at the start up screen, and you should see a list of all your devices and their current location, if connected to a Wi-Fi or mobile data network. Devices not connected will be shown as "offline". But you can still trap on the icon and hit "erase iPhone" in the right hand window.
If your iPhone is not listed, you did not activate this feature during the setup of the phone and it can't be erased remotely.
If the phone is listed, even as offline, tap on "erase" to send the erase command. The next time your device will be connected to any kind of network, the content will be erased.

  • My family of four are all sharing the same Apple ID so that we can share the calendar. Is this a disadvantage?

My family of four are all using the same Apple ID for our iPhones as well as several iPads.  From what I've read, the preferred practice is for each family member to have their own Apple ID.  We need to share our calendar and do not want to lose access to our music. What do you recommend at this point?

    Hello phoge,
Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you want to share music and calendars with the family. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.
    Family Sharing - Apple Support
Once you’ve set up Family Sharing, all the eligible songs, albums, movies, TV shows, books, and apps ever purchased by family members are immediately available to everyone else in the family. And, of course, so are new purchases.
Family Sharing creates a family calendar where everyone can view, add, or change events and appointments, and they can also get an alert when something changes

  • We have three Apple devices. They are all have the same name and are on the same apple ID. We would like to back up our Notes to the cloud. If we each create our own Apple email address will they create two separate Notes flies on the cloud or merge?

We have three Apple devices 2 IPhone 4's and one Ipad2. Only the Ipad2 is running the latest OS. They are all have the same name and are on the same apple ID. We would like to back up our Notes to the cloud. If we each create our own Apple email address (we don't have one yet) will they create two separate Notes flies on the Cloud or merge them?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Separate Apple ID's will result in separate notes. However when you first start with separate ID's unless one of you erases the notes you have, you will both start off with the same set of notes, but from then onwards each set won't sync with each other.

  • Is it possible to link up several macs, all with different login details, to an apple TV 2 all at the same time?

You can stream from multiple libraries but they must all be using the same home-sharing ID

Me and my daughter are using the same Apple id and we share the same iCloud account. I want to change her Apple id so that she will have her own icloud account and I will have mine.
    1. how do I do it?
    2. how do I  transfer her stuff which is in my icloud storage to her new icloud account once this one is created?
    thanks,
    Ari

To migrate her device to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos she wants to keep to her amera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow, then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If she is syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of the notes and email them to her so she can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in her new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create her new account and choose Merge to upload the data.
Once you are on separate accounts you can each go to icloud.com from a computer and delete the other person's data from your account.

  • Hello.  I am about to migrate over to iCloud.  I don't think I see my situation addressed. I have one mobile me account and a separate appleID for purchases.   I have 4 devices and my wife has two. Right now they are all using the same mobile me account t

I don't think I see my situation addressed. I have one mobile me account and a separate appleID for purchases.   I have 4 devices and my wife has two. Right now they are all using the same mobile me account to sync just the calendar and address book.
1.)  I want to add email syncing for my 4 devices and email syncing for my wife's two devices separately, but we want to sync and share the same calendar and address book.  Is this possible?
2.)  I also have 5 different calendars, one for work, one for home, one for... etc.  Is there a way to have different devices only sync certain calendars and not others or is it an all or nothing deal?
Thanks in advance for any tips!

To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photosstream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
Generally speaking it is not a good idea to share an iCloud account between different people, it often results in contracts, calendars et cetera being deleted by others. Saying that however you can add secondary iCloud accounts to your devices at settings> mail, contacts, calendars. Secondary accounts do not have all the features of a primary account, but are often very useful. Because you can enable or disable each individual feature of an iCloud account, you can cover almost any situation by using secondary accounts.

Verizon iPhone 5, 64GB black - is anyone having issues with a very choppy conversation while talking on the phone?  Both my wife and I have the same phones and are both having the same issue.  We can only hear every other word of the person we are talking to.  This happens at home, on the road and in the downtown area while calling both cellphones and landlines. It is intermittent, so we don't know exactly when it will reoccur.  Absolutely no problem with data.  The data speed is great.

"Wireless devices use radio transmissions, so unfortunately you can't get Service if your device isn't in range of a transmission signal. And please be aware that even within your Coverage Area, many things can affect the availability and quality of your Service, including network capacity, your device, terrain, buildings, foliage and weather."

While there may be an issue in your area, it is suggested that you don't use wireless service if it's a life or death situation, such as the one you've described.

Is the same true for using the App Store with a desktop machine? Someone installed a program on my machine (the IT department) and I would like to install the updates but it was installed under a different Apple ID. This anyone know how to change, or work around this particular issue?
Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  • HT4910 I have 5 apple devices that are using the cloud.  Do i need to have ALL of the devices backing up to the cloud since they are all on the same USER LOGIN or do i just need to buy more space?

I have multiple aple devices ( Ipad2, Ipad3, Iphone 4, Iphone 4s, Mac Mini, and Apple TV)  I am using the same apple login to sync to the cloud.  My question is do I need to sync ALL of them to the cloud or just one of the devices since I have them set up to sync anyway, or do i just need to buy more cloud space.  Thanks

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You should sync all of them, if you want them all to share the same information.
Syncing is not the same as backing up. I suggest you continue to back up your mobile devices to your computer, unless you have a good reason to do otherwise.

  • OSX Mavericks: Maps: None of my Apple Devices (iPad2 and iPhone 4s both running iOS7) show up in Maps to share directions to my device. They are all on the same Apple ID. Thoughts?

In the Maps App of OSX MAvericks, I am unable to locate my other apple devices to send directions to. I click on the share button and it does not even list the devices as an option. I am using an iPad2 and iPhone 4s both in iOS7 and from the same Apple ID. Thoughts?

This did not work for us. Nothing did. After hours on the phone with Apples leading to an "executive" support person who was on my Mac via a live session could not figure out why the Apple apps don't work and my other apps lock up. He's going to get back to us he said and Engineer has to be talked to to find out what is wrong. If I learn anything I will post it. I've tried every "trick" that's worked for some on here anywhere, but I've had no luck.

  • Today my iPod was stolen! But I also use iPhone, and both of them are registered in the same Apple ID!

Today my iPod was stolen! I also has the second Apple device (iPhone). Now I worry a lot cause what ever I did in my iPhone, it duplicated in my iPod (contacts, notes and so on!!!!!! How can I avoid this process now?????? All my private data are not saved now! I have changed all passwords in my accounts (email, ebay, Facebook), but how to fix it with Apple Messanger, Viber, WhatsApp???? Please, help me! Thanks in advance!

You can all have independent AppleIDs for iCloud or iMessage etc, but share the same one for iTunes Store / AppStore purchases.
