3 GWIA's and sending out mail ...

Hi,
Have 2 GWIAs, (InternalGWIA and ExternalGWIA). I have to create another one to send mail out to another system (External2GWIA).
I can't send out to External2GWIA. My logs for it show nothing. I checked ExternalGWIA and there is a rejection in that log. BUT, if I send the message out by concatinating the GWIA name in from of the email (e.g. ... gwdomain.gwianame:[email protected]), it will push it OK.
My route.cfg's are defined OK.
My "Internet Agent for Outbound SMTP/MIME Messages" entry in the Tools > GroupWise System Operations > Internet Addressing is set to ExternalGWIA. If I chance it to External2GWIA I can send out OK ... but then mail going out through ExternalGWIA attempts to go through External2GWIA.
Hope this makes sense.
I need 2 External GWIA's cause they need to activate FlatForwarding. I don't know what effect this would have on my original External GWIA.
Shouldn't this work ?

We just decided to use that existing GWIA and implement flatforwarding in it.

That is working as designed, and other than that, you haven't specified
how you are expecting traffic to use that other domain.
Generally traffic from a PO is all to one GWIA, but there are methods
to auto concatenate that might be useful such as the method we used
before the 'Internet addressing' function was built in (I think it had
enough rules logic to help).

  • Using Gmail in iPhoto and cannot find any of my groups to email.  I have at least seven or eight groups that I email, each containing over 50 addresses. Is there a way to locate my email groups using iPhoto to send out mail in Gmail? Using version 9.5.1

Using Gmail in iPhoto and cannot find any of my groups to email.  I have at least seven or eight groups that I email, each containing over 50 addresses. Is there a way to locate my email groups using iPhoto to send out mail in Gmail? Using version 9.5.1  (902.17) OS is Mavericks 10.9.1.

Your question and description is not very clear to me, so hopefully something here will help:
    1. Gmail is a service not an app or a place. So you need to access the service with an app - that can be iPhoto, Mail, Outlook or any other mail client, or even a Web Browser like Safari or Firefox.
So you can't "go to GMail" as you write, but instead you go to an application set up to use the GMail service.
    2. iPhoto is not a mail client. It's a handy way to email pics to Grandma, but for what you're doing you need to use an app that supports all of the Gmail service. iPhoto doesn't. There is no way around that.
    3. How to send to groups will vary depending on what app you use to access the GMail service. All of these apps can receive photos from iPhoto, either - as in the case of Mail and Outlook, via the Share function - or, in the case of all the rest - via a Media Browser.
For help sending to Groups using any of these other apps you need to ask omn their respective forums. But the workflow is quite simple:
Using Mail or Outlook set in the iPhoto Prefereneces:
    1. Select the pic(s) you want to share.
    2. Choose email from the Share function
    3. Make your selections re size etc
    4. The email opens up in Mail or Outlook
    - from there you need to figure out how to use the email client.
    Using any other app:
    1. In the mail app create a new email
    2. Click on the Attach button or link
    3. Use the Media browser to select the pic(s) you want to send
    4. Attach them
    - from there you need to figure out how to use the email client.
For help accessing your photos in iPhoto see this user tip:

all of a sudden I am not able to send out mail. I have checked and rechecked my account information including incoming and outgoing server info. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks

If you're having trouble sending mail, then either the SMTP (outbound) mail server settings — the server, the port, the user, the password, and whether SSL is in use or (unlikely) not — are incorrect, or the mail server is offline or has been reconfigured.
The SMTP (outbound) settings are in Preferences, but are buried rather deeply.  Select Preferences > Accounts > select the account > switch the outgoing mail server (SMTP) to Edit SMTP Server List... and then select the SMTP server from the list, and verify that the settings are correct with your ISP, and that your username and password are correct.
The required settings vary by your particular mail ISP; you'll have to check with the ISP for the server and login details.
To test settings, select Window > Connection Doctor > then (when the tests fail) show the details, and (if you can't sort out what happened) sanitize the settings and post the output here.
Caveat: do not repeat password tests with the mail server, as various mail providers can be configured to assume these are a password brute-force attack, and lock out repeated login attempts.
Caveat: never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever not-at-all enter a password when Mail pops up a dialog box with the "OMG YOUR PASSWORD IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE ENSURE YOU CANNOT LOG IN AGAIN!!!!!" dialog box.  (I'm paraphrasing that error dialog box slightly.)  The correct answer to that Mail.app password dialog box is almost always "cancel" button.  Passwords stored in Keychain generally don't get lost or corrupted, and trying random passwords as that dialog box encourages just gets you locked out of various servers, and...

lots of people seem to be havgin a problem sending email from iCloud webmail.
does your email address have uppercase characters in it?
if so, try creating an alias in lowercase (go to preferences in iCloud webmail and select 'accounts') and see if email sends okay from that

  • Problem in sending Greek characters over webservice which sends out  mail.

    Hi All,
I need one help from you. I have published a Web Service. There is one method in web service which accepts a String as input parameter.
The value of this String should be an xml Template which is
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <emailDetails xmlns="http://xyz.net/abc/namespace" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://xyz.net/abc/namespace C:\java\aaa\xml\emailXMLSchema.xsd">

My webservice accepts this content in the form of String Object. It will parse this template(String object) using SAX parser and finds the following attribute
Subject,Body,From,Recipient and constructs and sends out the mail to the recipient which is working fine with English language. I have some Greece clients also. When i edited the body part in Greek language. Instead of sending those Greek characters some question marks are coming to that mail.
I extracted the code out which parses that XML Template and sends out the mail. I created one java project using that code. Parser parsed that template and sent the mail successfully with the Greek characters. I suspect that Axis or Soap engine is not supporting Greece Characters..
I tried with encoding="ISO-8859-7" and UTF-8 both but it din't work.
Could any one help me in solving this problem?
    Thanks,
    Aseem Bathla

I had the similar issue however I could resolve it by setting the appropriate encoding in server startup script.

  • I can't send out mail on my computer it sits in the outbox

I can't send out mail on my computer it sits in the outbox

You have omitted all useful information from your post,
Things like, what mail system, there are many, which Mac, many of them as well
Time to describe what you have and what error messages you receive, can't do anything with your question otherwise.

  • "connection denied due to dictionary attack" when I try to send out mail

    Hi--
I got this message "connection denied due to dictionary attack" when I tried to send out mail today. It was the first time I ever saw anything like this. I thought it was a problem with the mail server from my website, but no one else had the problem. After about 12 hours, it suddenly stopped...
Was I being hacked? Was someone trying to send out email/spam through A)my home machine or B) my website? And if so, how can I protect myself from it?

Well you second post was the correct question because I was going to say you got a second hand macbook pro, didn't change anything, and expected mail to work with your ISP.  The mail settings were thus those of the previous owner.  So you are correct to ask what your ISP's settings should be.
Unfortunately I can't answer that.  You have to get that from your ISP.  They proably have a web page for it.
    You need to know:
    Incoming mail server (pop)
    Incoming mail server login name
    Incoming mail server password
    POP port
    Does is require SSL?
Authentication for using POP server (probably password)
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
Outgoing mail server login name (probably same as incoming)
Outgoing mail server password (probably same sas incoming)
    SMTP port
    Does is require SSL?

  • Icloud SMTP server is offline, can't send out mail

I am having a problem, can't send out mail with my iCloud account. Password is ok, but it says "offline"  On Mavericks OS

You might want to try signing out of your iCloud account, then back in.  Go to System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out, choose Delete at all of the prompts, restart your Mac, then sign back in.
This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your Mac, but not from iCloud.  It will reappear on your Mac when you sign back in, after a brief delay as it redownloads.

You haven't set up the SMTP (outgoing) mail server correctly. You probably didn't enter your user ID and password for the outgoing server. They are needed even though it says "optional".

Also, and although possibly not related to your problem, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported.
